Stopped for a coffee on a road trip. This place did not disappoint. I got a 100% Kona coffee and it was delicious. Also ordered a jalapeño cheddar bagel with cream cheese and it was the softest most amazing bagel ever! Highly recommend!
Great selection of lattes to choose from. We enjoyed 3 different kinds. Their food looked delicious but we only stopped for coffee.
Enjoyable iced coffee, pleasantly surprised they used coffee ice cubes which enhanced it nicely
Went here Saturday, late morning. Variety of choices for drinks and snacks. Lots of stuff for sale, nicely decorated interior. Quick, friendly service. I asked the barista what they liked better, regular mocha or monkey mocha. They said both were good. So I decided to get a small money mocha and it tasted delicious. Different from other mocha’s, in a good way. Will be back here for sure. Prices are comparable to other coffee places.
Wonderful staff and great place to with friends. Love the coffee and treats.
I ordered an iced chai and it was amazing. The service was also really great. Definitely plan on stopping by again next time I’m in the area.
great vibes, great service, great coffee. the coffee has such a unique, tasting flavor. i recommend to all. especially the blended drinks
Loved the iced white chocolate raspberry coffee. They use frozen coffee ice cubes in their drinks so it doesn't get watered down as the ice melts. Service was excellent and the two guys working were super friendly.
Easy to find! Clearly, locals love this place. A lot of parking. Tons of seats inside. No seats outside. Pretty big space and they sell Hawaiian coffee beans and ground coffee. They also sell mugs and cups, baked goods, package food to go. The atmosphere was easy going and chill. Greeted nicely when I came in. Ordered the Three waves and the Caramel. Made so quickly and it’s yummmmmy and smooth. Definitely would say to come in for some smooth Kona and Hawaii coffee. I would come back!
I come here pretty regularly. The badass mocha never disappoints. The staff is young but earnest. It's a great little coffee shop. I'd rather spend my money here then starbucks.
Today was my first time stopping into this coffee shop. I’ve been wanting to grab a coffee here since I found out about them being on stony. And I loved Bad Ass in Lahaina. The staff was super friendly. And it seemed like they get familiar with their regulars. So it was very inviting seeing how the staff interacted with other customer. The coffee tastes like Hawaii. I like my mochas to taste like coffee. Not chocolate with coffee. And they delivered. And they were fast. I’ll definitely be popping back in when I’m in the area next. Thank you Bad Ass for giving me the island vibe right here in Sonoma county. It was very needed today.
I had been meaning to visit this place ever since I first noticed it a few years ago and finally got the chance to stop in after a grocery run today. In addition to high quality coffee and a unique menu, the baristas have a wonderful sense of humor and were extremely kind to the dog. Will definitely visit again!
Great 100% kona! But the breakies and was weak. But I went for the coffee. Little pricey for a black drip but 100%. Kona! Dudes were all super nice.
Coffee is great but the breakfast burritos are small and frozen and served with basic salsa. I don't recommend eating here. But come for coffee.
Nice people. No posted prices - for transient peeps like me on a budget, it would be nice to know if you are going to pay almost $4.00 for a house blend cup of coffee. You know armageddon is approaching fast when coffee is more expensive than beer and water is more expensive than gas. I am adding a few stars because I'm getting ready to ride a bike 3000 miles and I need all the good karma I can get. I am writing to clarify for the person that sent me a response. Although I appreciate your passion and time involved in your response, I think you failed to understand my initial statement. I was not speaking about your product. I was speaking about the lack of posted pricing. Having spent many years in the service industry, I am a heavy handed tipper. If I had to guess on the small side, I prolly tip 30 to 50% as a rule. If I would have seen pricing, I would have ordered a smaller cup of the wonderful Kona coffee and been able to tip the staff more than the 25% I ended up leaving. The coffee was certainly wonderful, but the best cup I have ever had came from K-Bay coffee in Homer, Alaska. Do yourself a favor and fly there if only for a cup of that life changing bean water. Edit: 01-25-2022 To the owner of BA Coffee - I survived the 2700 ride through the Ozark campgrounds overrun by late-night raccoon burglars. I evaded death in the hungry coyote-filled canyons just South of Amarillo, TX while sleeping on a picnic table due to fire ants covering the ground like lava. I survived areas owned by venomous snakes and scorpions. I now live in Vermont and work for a company who used to be owned by the owner of Green Mountain Coffee. Life is a wonderful trip. Who'd of thunk. My brother lives in SanFran proper and has a house in Hidden Valley Lake, so he has stopped off for your Kona blend many, many times. I will visit you again, and this time I will order the biggest baddest cup of your fantastic soul-saver, and I'll tip like someone who makes good money, but is not filthy rich...because most filthy rich people suck at tipping. Mahalo! From Green Mountain, VT
I think this place is great, the hours are convenient and the location is prime for north Santa Rosa but the price is much higher than other local coffee shops. The 100% Kona is about $5 for a 12oz. The quality of the coffee is great and you do not need room for cream. It's tasty, flavorful and not at acidic. It's delicious. You come here for coffee, not double shot fat free vanilla lattes with 4 pumps of random syrups. They do serve other things but their focus is Kona coffee. The variety of seating arrangements make it great for individuals, groups or couples. The food is pricey for me too but it's available. The restroom is well kept, the service is good and staff are young and so, you get the service you would expect. I really like coming here when I'm in the area.
I want to preface my review on the basis that I roast my own coffee and am very particular on strength and flavor. I prefer a stronger cup of coffee. With that said, my experience was mixed. The staff was efficient and kind the location is easy to get too and they deliver the drinks quickly. On the down side for me is that the Flat white I ordered was too foamy and very weak, I could not taste the roast at all.
I like supporting local businesses, but this was a real letdown. I ordered two coffees: one iced and one black. The black was just warm, not very hot. The iced coffee was good. The black coffee was 100% Kona, so it was more expensive. Sadly, it wasn't very enjoyable since it was only warm. I got two pastries as well, which were nothing special but not bad. All this was $32 after an 18% tip. Pretty expensive for two coffees and two pastries. Overall, a bad experience. I hate giving bad reviews, but this experience was such a letdown.
Just went in for the first time because I’m waiting for someone in Surgery at Sutter. Was going to go to Starbucks but decided this place sounded interesting. Service was just ok. Coffee was nothing out of this world. They were out of the Hawaiian breakfast sandwich so I opted for a breakfast burrito. I wish I had known it was frozen. Not good dude. Also for the price it was expensive ( being that’s it’s not made in house) Will not be back.
OK good but not great. They could be more outgoing and positive.
This is one of the two Bad Ass Coffee locations in Santa Rosa and I’m really hoping the other location is better. This Mark West spot has always been a place bikers stop into, and I actually grew up coming here around 2010 when it was consistently really good so this visit was a bit disappointing. I stopped in around 5:30PM, about half an hour before closing, on a Tuesday and ordered hot water and a decaf coffee. I understand that late-day timing can affect availability, but if decaf isn’t available in the traditional way, it’s better to just say so rather than trying to make it another way. The coffee ended up extremely watery and unpleasant. To the point where I couldn’t enjoy it at all. That said, the customer service is the main reason this place still gets points. The cashier, a young male teenager was kind and made an effort to accommodate me which didn’t go unnoticed. There was also a young girl working who was clearly hardworking and respectful. Their attitude and professionalism stood out more than the coffee itself. I really wanted this visit to feel nostalgic or comforting especially during the cold winter season, but it just didn’t land this time. To the people of Sonoma County and visitors aborad I can tell you between the watered-down coffee and the inconsistency compared to years ago, I don’t see myself coming back for a while. I’m hoping this was just an off day or that the other Santa Rosa location delivers more of what this place used to be.
I was craving a chai latte and I was gonna go to Starbucks. I had been hearing about Badass from my coworker, so I thought why not. This is my first time going here to get a drink by and for myself. I asked some questions like if they had alternative milks and the guy behind the counter listed the alternative milks. He was completely deadpan and seemed annoyed. So I got a chai with oatmilk. I asked about their pumpkin spice type drink and I asked if the pumpkin mix is vegan. They said it as a syrup but then said it's probably just a puree. So now I'm confused. I should have asked for the ingredients of the chai mix and that is on me. It should be chai tea with milk but I doubt this was. My drink was a big ol' cup of warm milk. Was the chai in the room with us?? I don't know. I couldn't taste it. The whole place smelled of bleach so strongly that I almost just left, because I could taste it in my mouth. I said thank you have a nice day and... nothing. This place is not friendly, not flavorful, smells like the inside of a bleach bottle and even when there is no one else there but you they will not make an effort. I'm just going to Starbucks next time.
