The food never fails here. A favorite for sure!

When people say California has good Mexican food this is the place they’re talking about. These have to be the best tacos I’ve ever had. If you want to cry while eating the some of the best food in the world, eat here.

I recently tried Taqueria Portillos in Camarillo, and the food was excellent! I ordered the authentic chicken burrito, and it was delicious—the flavors were spot on. However, the atmosphere left something to be desired; it was a bit lackluster and noisy, which detracted from the dining experience. Next time, I would opt to get the food to go to enjoy its full flavor without the distractions. Overall, great food, but consider the ambiance if dining in.

Everything was so yummy. They have fresh squeezed orange juice too!! Sooo yummy!

Amazing staff, love the food. Been coming to this spot since they first opened. It's great that with so many other Mexican restaurants with in less then a mile this one stands out!

I think it’s safe to say you could order anything and be happy with it, everything I’ve tried has been super tasty. We make sure to stop by for lunch every time we are in town.

I was amazed by the flavor of the tacos; they were really good. The salsas are very flavorful.

I stopped here on a whim driving back from Santa Barbara to LA and just wanted something quick and easy. Quite honestly I never expect Mexican restaurants outside of my favorite SB spots to be any good but this place BLEW me away. I got the Super Burrito with Carne Asada and it was INCREDIBLE. Insane flavors, came out so quickly, and btw they were about to close and looked to be doing a deep clean of the kitchen so I’m not sure what other reviews are talking about - they seemed to be on top of food safety and cleanliness. I will seriously make a point to stop here between my consistent travels between LA and SB from here on out. Such a great spot!

It's a smaller place but they have some really good authentic Mexican food.

We haven’t eaten here in a couple years and I’m disappointed I’ve been missing out. My family inhaled their dinner. Their quesabirria tacos were AMAZING and the consomé so flavorful. I also ordered a crispy carnitas taco and it was so simple but so delicious. We’ll be back!

I'm not an expert in Mexican food, but the food here is great. Anyplace that has good birria and tripa is on my list of places to go again and again. Kinda small, but just get it to go and eat outside.

Ordered carne asada and chile verde burritos togo. Phone order was super easy, food was ready on time and the best part? The burritos were BOMB. 💣 We are new to the neighborhood and we are stoked to have our new goto burrito spot. 💯

Bomb authentic tacos. Lots to choose from. Plus tons of other great food. Aguas frescas, bottled cokes and more. Be aware, the salsa is legit. It will grow hair on your chest. Definitely worth swinging by.

Our son was in one of the multitude of baseball tournaments in Camarillo, and we were looking for a good (vegetarian friendly) Mexican joint and was very happy to stumble upon Taqueria Potrillos, a small taqueria in a tiny strip mall on Ventura. Their carnitas tacos will make you cream your pants. I’m from San Diego and this place has the best carnitas taco I’ve ever had.

Ordered by phone, food was great, order was ready when we arrived. Customer service though, a bit dry, seem as if they were mad. Cahier deviate her attention from me in the middle of the paying process to chat and joke with a co-worker . I personally find that disrespectful, But the food is awesome.

This place has stood the test of time. Their prices are compared to others and in today's economy it costs a fortune for even a smaller place. Pablo has found a way to put Mexican back into Mexican food. Check it out you will not be sorry. Across from the train station, trolley friendly, great food, fast service, nice employees. Trust me on this one !!!

i got the california burrito and i was so glad the burrito was huge ! and it was super good. the pico de gallo or salsa that is in it is so favorful. i love cilantro and onion and it tasted so fresh in it. i liked everything about it, and i would eat here again! worth it for 15 dollars , plus it comes with chips. they also wrapped it really well, no falling apart as i ate it on the go.

The buttery meat, signature salsa (not spicy at all), and simplicity of cilantro and onion are all these tacos require for deliciousness. My family gets asada, and they seem to have changed the recipe. I appreciate that the Chile Verde is less salty in this Era. Throughout the years, prices have gone up, as everything else has. Let me just say that I haven't been a customer for 10 years for no reason. Bottom line-It is consistently good. PS- they have ice cold Mexican Cokes and Squirts! Horchata is decent. Old Review: Cabeza taco's all the way! Taco's are not only for Tuesdays, but they do offer a scwheet deal of 40 cents off a taco- so that's a plus. The gal in the morning is awesome. She knows my order by now!

The foods alright. Kinda basic, nothing to ride home about. But for the price it’s satisfying, it’s cheap and can get you a good amount of food. Atmosphere is whatever, nothing crazy just little spot in the corner. The staff is great tho, order came out quick they were really nice and made my experience better.

I was Bullied/ Punked:The young lady with the braces helped me with my order. I arrived at 9am and the Menudo was gone so I then ordered a plate of birria and a taco for my daughter. When the food arrived she brought us one taco and a birria burrito, ( i didnt even know birria burritos where a thing) i told her I ordered a plate and she just said "no you didn't". I dont like to argue so I said, Ok... can I change it to what I ordered and she said "no, who's going to eat that burrito" which i though was a smart-mouthed way to respond to a customer. I just smiled and said thank you and didn't touch the burrito. Then my daughter was chewing on the same piece of meat from her taco for about a minute. I asked her if the taco was good and she said, " no, it's too chewy, Dada". She calls me Dada and sees me as a literal super hero, as well she should but, today she lost respect for her Dada for the way he was treated in front of her. Chewy meat and not what I ordered. I guess the worse part is that they could have cared less. I left everything on the table and just left the restaurant.

I ordered 3 meals this evening. 2 regular burritos and 4 tacos. Tacos came out as expected. Both burritos were birria. Both my and my husband’s burritos came without rice. It was just a lot of beans and onions with some very dry birria. I took about 3 bites before I tossed it. My husband ate about half of his before he also tossed his. Salsa was mediocre. And we didn’t get any chips because chips are only for customers who dine in and spend a minimum of $10. lol Service was also mediocre. The girl who took our order was not nasty, just didn’t want to help us. She acted like us ordering was an inconvenience. She was so short with us.

My husband and I go here from time to time and we notice our portions are way smaller than other customers ( Hispanics). We paid $12 for a burrito to split and it was so small and disappointing. Most of it was bread . If we spend our money here we should get the same portion size as everyone else . We won’t be doing back at all .

I can’t speak to the taste of food here because I didn’t eat mine. I saw in the kitchen that NONE of the people preparing and handling food were wearing gloves. This was pointed out in a previous review and clearly hasn’t changed. If they can’t manage to simply put on gloves, what other food safety standards are being ignored? I’d love for management to fix this issue and let customers know it has been resolved.

Just went here for a bite, I had the quesobirria and my husband had 2 soft tacos with 2 bottled cokes. The food was okay, the service was not. Total we spent $25, when my husband asked for a cup with ice the guy told he him that it would be $1.50 additional just for the ice. That’s something I’ve never experienced when supporting a local business.

I told them I wanted a potato breakfast burrito with no beans or onions and if they didn’t understand that I wish they would’ve said that instead of giving me a burrito loaded with beans.
