Opinions de Old Stone Station Cambria
My husband and I had an amazing dinner here. We started with the fried zucchini which was yummy. I had the filet and he ordered a ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly. We especially enjoyed the rice and veggies that were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was homey and Lindsey was so personable and helpful.
My wife and I split the Turkey Supreme and an amazing off-menu secret side. That with a localish draft IPA was the perfect size to save a little room for something sweet!
Its a great restaurant that seems to have been around for a long time. They let you sit on the patio with your dog. Our server was spectacular! Very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is very old and kitschy but that's not really a bad thing.
We came here for lunch on our way back from visiting Hearst castle and I am so glad we did! Perfect beach spot with friendly and prompt service, and a great selection of food and beverages. I got the catch of the day which was Mahi Mahi and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned, along with my salad and their house herb garlic dressing. My husband got the chowder bread bowl which was also amazing (yes I had a few tastes) and even our beers were good! The next time we are nearby we will definitely be back.
Our server Anthony was so knowledgeable of the menu and helped us choose amazing options. My wife had the chicken picatta with rice pilaf and I had the seafood pasta and both were out of this world. This place is an absolute diamond in the rough, and our meals would've cost double at other restaurants in town. If I could give 6 stars I would. an 11/10 experience!
Spent a romantic evening with my hubby in this charmer! Great music 👍🏼
I mean you can’t beat the view but the food did a damn good job of trying! Their wine list is all local choices. Highly recommend the chowder and seafood pasta!
Food was delicious!! The crab cakes are made to order- so crispy, plump and flavorful. Mushroom ravioli and fried zucchini were also heavenly. Very friendly staff and great service, too, thank you Old Stone Station!
Just terrific! We had crab cakes, barbecued oysters, fish and chips with pinot Grigio wine, and each bite and sip was as satisfying as a meal can be. Lovely service, quirky decor of the kind we especially appreciate -- nothing cookie-cutter, nothing pretentious.I'd go back in a happy second.
We come here when ever we visit Cambria or passing through. The food is delicious and have homemade TLC. The staff have always been welcoming. Support Yessi and her son, Alex. They go out of their way to make sure you're happy!
I was super hungry so just pointed a place in Google maps. It was a surprise-super nice, simple meal, amazing service-read my book, had my good with vino-great reboot.
What a great find. Very dog friendly, we had great service, delicious food. House special the cut chips are really good.
Sits on a corner with plenty of free street parking (at least in September.). Pups welcome and there is a cute outdoor patio that hugs corner; enter through that door (a few steps to access.) Lots to look at, fun signs and great vibe. Also small patio covered patio at main entrance too. The staff were epic. Very welcoming, kind and gave excellent sincere service. Appreciated the water bowl for my pup! Food is basic fare; you’re not coming here for a foodie experience. Instead, soak up local color, meet and chat with others and enjoy a meal/full bar with your beloved pup companion! I’m here for a week; I’ll be back.
Passing through Cambria we stopped at the Old Stone Station. We ordered various fish varieties and burgers for our group. We loved the food and service! Plus, they had several wine options. We enjoyed sitting on the patio. It was a nice atmosphere that seemed to also be a local favorite! Food portions were large and it was a great place to fill up, relax and talk with family!
Great food and service have not been disappointed yet! The seafood pasta is so delicious, Bbq oysters all seafood even the salmon are great. They have gone out of their way to accommodate us between lunch and dinners …. Jesse has been such a sweetheart. For my Birthday last November it was late but she made my daughters , granddaughters, John and us feel at home and accommodating. We love it ! Update: Well on Wednesday July 24th, 2024 first time to our disappointment we were craving their Seafood Pasta the sauce was water down with just 2 one inch pieces of fish , couple of clams and lots of overcooked calamari all rubbery . Not sure if the cook didn’t want to cook a fresh batch but we know it will be awhile before we try it again . This time we give it only 2 stars .
Excellent service and food. The Decor is a pretty cool mix of antique gas station stuff, auto/marine repair and fishing gear, very area appropriate. They have patio seating and inside, which also has a second level. Daily specials, happy hour, and a good vibe. My wife had the fish and chips which was excellent, crunchy, not overly fried or greasy. I had the seafood combo. Everything was great, I really enjoyed the calamari and the shrimp. The fries were also surprisingly good, probably the best we had along the coast. The Modelos were cold and served with a wedge of lime. We highly recommend old stone station while in Cambria.
We had a horrible experience trying to dine at Harmony and ended up leaving because the Chef wasn't very accommodating to my mom's gluten intolerance and couldn't make adjustments to his menu. We came here and we were so glad we did + Super chill and laid back ambiance + Beautiful and relaxing patio dining area with beer garden vibe + Fun decor and lively garden -- lots of birds, plants, and sunshine + Staff is friendly, warm, and pleasant + Great menu selection with something for everyone + Burger is HUGE and uses very fresh ingredients. + LOVED my BLT sandwich -- great bread, generous amounts of bacon, super fresh greens + The salad was also very fresh and big -- loved the beets! + Homemade potato salad was delicious
Cutest stop on the way into Cambria , super sweet staff and great food and good prices
Cool restaurant in a former 1930's gas station with great collection of eclectic, vintage decor. Lots of fresh seafood, this awesome Asian Chicken Salad, Beautiful cuts of steak, huge beer selection & an indoor/outdoor beer garden! Picture of restaurant today and one I found of the gas station back in the day...
Stopped in for a beer and a bite. I chose the chicken Caesar salad. The server told me they were out of romaine but could make it with mixed greens. It was delicious. It had olives which I don’t normally care for but opted to leave on. I confirmed I still don’t care for olives but I’m rating 5 stars. The chicken was hot and the salad was delicious.
One of our favorite spots during our trip to the Central Coast. Wonderful food, and great service. Good for kids too!
Oustanding food and service!! Leo was our Waiter he did an excellent job!! He was extremely attentive to my Wive's dietary needs of being on a Gluten Free Diet! My Wife order the Salmon with a delicious Honey Lemon Sauce. I ordered the RibEye Steak with the Peppercorn Sauce along with Large Shrimp Scampi!! Everything was cooked perfectly!!! Thanks for making our 41st Wedding Anniversary a memorable one!! Rp
WONDERFUL RESTAURANT! I came here with my family of 6 and the service was fast, under a 30 minute wait for a steak dinner, 3 fresh fish dinners, their roasted chicken breast and a tuna starter. Our waiter was very friendly too, and extremely hospitable. I would highly recommend this restaurant! Not overly expensive but has very fresh food!

The filet was good, but slightly over cooked. I asked for medium a came out a little on the well side. The crab cakes were tasty.

Excellent food, interesting atmosphere. Charming I think best describes this small town tourist restaurant.
Really cool little restaurant in Cambria. Service was great and food delicious. I highly recommend stopping here. And if you like beer they have a stout that is amazing. We ate BBQ Oysters, fried zucchini, Calamari Steak and Shrimp Scampi. Loved every one of them. I had to take away 1 star because its pricey for the portions. Great food though and a really cozy and friendly ambiance.
My husband had the prime rib special and enjoyed it. I tried a couple bites and both had gristle. I had the mahi-mahi special with lemon butter and it was yummy. The servers were working hard and did a great job. I was surprised they did not have a full bar, but they do offer beer/wine.
The Cajon burger was delicious the fish fair didn't have as much flavor but the breading was descent cooked well over all. French basic skinny fry cooked well. Service and atmosphere was 👍. Overall I'd go back try something different next time. Nice variety on the menu
Very casual, comfortable atmosphere. Very attentive and friendly staff. I got the station burger and oatmeal stout. The burger was exactly what I expected - good (especially since this was the first stop after a backpacking adventure) but very standard. Sometimes a basic burger is what I'm in the mood for though! And the stout was top-notch!
Very much enjoyed our food. We ordered the catch of the day, grilled just right, fresh and good portion. The calamari was also very good. All the ingredients were good quality. Friendly service and cute place. Definitely recommend it and will go back again
Location is easy to find on Main St. Parking on street or in the back. Handicap access. Customer service was friendly and helpful. Our take out order took 10 minutes. Vontsiners were sturdy. Plastic ware and napkins werd provided. I ordered the portabella mushroom sandwich. It was delicious with sliced tomato, pickle and caramalized onions in whole wheat bun. The cup of chowder was okay. It had more fillers than clam. Hubby ordered the fried fish, calamari, shrimp and chips. He liked it a lot. Prices were moderate. Certain items are per market price.
Nice and cozy restaurant. The food and service was good. They have a nice outdoor patio if you are bringing your pet. It was a little cold and we ask the hostess to turn the propane heater on, that made the area nice and cozy. We enjoyed our dinner and will definitely come back again.
We stopped in because the dog-friendly outdoor patio looked so inviting. The fish and chips were quite good and went down well with a pint of Figueroa Mountain Hoppy Poppy IPA.

The service was quick and friendly. We arrived early after sunset at the beach. The menu said fresh fish. We had tuna but it smelled fishy, food was not hot, rather disappointed for the cost. Much like what I am experiencing in So. Cal., you pay inflated prices for average or less than expected quality.
We were the only diners for thirty minutes. No soup or salad as appetizers but other starters to choose. The food was mediocre. We had a rib eye steak and fish. Service by a personable server. .We visit Cambria several times a year. Not likely we will dine here again.
This place had great patio dining and good service. Unfortunately the food was not that good! We had clam chowder which was pretty good, but ordered the big combination fish platter. The deep-frying batter was too overpowering, so the fish were tasteless. Fish also seemed to be frozen, which is a shame when you are sitting a few blocks from the ocean. Nice decor, but they need better quality food.
Everything about this place is a pain. That being said, the food is very good for the most part. I have mixed feelings about this place. To start, there is a lunch and a dinner menu. It would be almost impossible for a family of 4 to get out of here for under $100 (with ordering two kids meals) at dinner. The only sandwich or easy item on the menu is a $20 burger - my wife opted for the Asian chicken salad. Looked slightly underwhelming. I got the seafood pasta, was very good, very fresh tasting. We also had crab cakes - each the size of a small burger - $20 for the pair. These were very good. Kids chicken tenders seemed adequate. Nothing special, nothing wrong with them. The service was just ok, seemed a little rushed or short staffed. Nothing wrong, just not awesome. For the finish, only visa or mastercard, no discover. Final thoughts, slightly overpriced for the experience - but choices are limited & supply/demand & all that jazz.
Was working in Camry that I'd give this place a try for lunch. My selection on the menu. Nice patios very cool feel. Burgers are excellent fries were nice and hot. Service was a little scatterbrained forgot a few things and they were not even busy. But I will definitely come back and try dinner.
I came here because it popped up in Google Maps as fresh seafood. Fact is menu on seafood is limited. NO Scallops,Crabs, Lobster, octopus or clams. I ordered a homemade New England Chowder but tasted like canned Chowder. 🥲 The Momma's Potato Salad was good. 🍽

Ordered shrimp scampi with pasta and it was watery. Pasta was hard.. restaurant needs new decor and new tablecloths..
If i could leave no stars i would. The food was great but the waitress who is a little bigger with blondish brown hair, maybe Lauren is her name was very rude. I ordered a Dr. pepper for myself and my daughter and it was rootbeer with a hint of the sweetness of dr pepper. I asked the front guy who walked by if we could get a Dr Pepper that what we were given was rootbeer he said that they switched the lines so maybe thats why it tasted like that. The blonde comes out and starts off with, "we havent had rootbeer her in 3 months so what you have is in fact dr pepper" and I am a Dr. Pepper drinker and know the difference between the two is what I responded with. She then started arguing with me. I just told her I am good with water. When i asked others her name nobody would tell me. When I asked for a manager the said nobody was there because of a party. The waitress only asked us once if we needed anything. Also do not like the fact that they put their on 17 dollar tip on there. I guess the menu states they do this but I didnl not see it because i would have left a penny. Paid 110 for 4 adults and 1 child to eat and the food was great but you wont find friendly staff there.
Ordered the fish (cod) and calamari. Had a hard time cutting the fish and tasted like rubber. The calamari was just as bad. They were battered and deep fried way beyond the need. I don't feel it was worth the money I paid for it. There are many more choices in this little town for food. I won't be back.
The published hours on Google are incorrect. We arrived at 2:45 and were denied service, being told the restaurant didn’t open until 5:00
Food was not great. They over cook my steak. The only good thing that was going for them was the service.
Ambience is amazing! So much to look at. The menu has a lot to offer. The wait staff was nice but incompetent. The food was edible but reminded me of something I'd find in a hospital cafeteria but 4 star prices. They are completely taking advantage of the tourists. Never going back.
