November 2025 Update Pizza is still very good... but it needs to be fresh when getting slices. Slices are held in a pizza oven that's not on. Best to have it reheated in the oven... but best to get it when it's 1st baked. Very nice owner, polite and caring of customers. He is often there during the day making and baking pizza. My jacket got caught on a broken corner edge on a table today... it almost torn. They are sharp. I would think an arm could get injured on these. I looked over at other tables and saw many broken. I posted pics... they need to be repaired for safety. One additional negative... the mens room smelled of urine; mold was growing in the urinal. Cleaning with chlorine bleach would solve the problem. Recommended. June 2025 Update The pizza and staff are very good and that continued. No improvements to the interior were made; the same torn shredded carpeting is present with no upgrade. New carpeting or floor tiles are badly needed. Previous Visits 2025 and 2024 The pizza is very good and the staff are nice and friendly. The dining rooms would be much nicer if they replaced the old worn-out, torn, stained carpeting. This presents trip hazards for customers. This drags down your dining experience and makes the place look really bad. The mens room door needs a cleaning.

I've always loved this place. Great service, staff and always clean. A little disappointed this trip as I ordered to go and got home to find out sub was not toasted. We have never had to ask before, I thought it was a signature thing, Pontillos subs always came toasted without asking. I'll be sure to ask next time.

Most times the pizza and garlic bread have been very good. The last visit, the crust was like cardboard. I would still recommend giving them a try

My family was in Canandaigua visiting other family and we decided to order take out. While my husband and son were happy enough with their pizza, I was rather disappointed with my calzone. I ordered a calzone with onions and spinach. While the onions were evident, there was barely any spinach to be found in my calzone. The cup of sauce that was included was also barely half full and was not enough for the calzone to even barely have enough to dip the heavier breaded edges. It was a disappointment.

First time ordering here in years and I’m not sure if I just got unlucky or this is normal but the pepperoni pizza I ordered was severely undercooked, borderline raw towards the middle. Sauce and cheese has good flavor though. Lack of cup char pepperoni is disappointing. Customer service was however excellent.

I'm just not a fan of order your food and go sit we'll bring it out , you just always feel rushed to make a decision. The Place had great reviews but I'm not sure for what , pizza was good but not great service was good the atmosphere was old dingy and dirty .

I got a calzone from there and it looked like a dried out slice of pizza with no sauce . Not a calzone stuffed with mozzarella and ricotta. I wish I could post a photo.

Ordered pizza yesterday at 3:45 pm Deliver around 4:30 pm Called at 5 pm said it went out for delivery 4:11 pm Then said it was still there would send it boy right away Finally find pizza laying on the ground by front door at 6:15 pm 2 1/2 hours from state Cold Never again Thanks for not remaking the pizza the first time I called I’ve been a long time customer but not any more Terrible customer service and follow up One star Many booooos Happy Halloween

Called in a large sub toasted ham and cheese. Received a small untoasted sub. Sent my son back in because I'm handicapped to get the correct sub. Came out with two small subs. One toasted. The other one is the same one he went back in the store with. What should have happened was they should have made me a large ham and cheese sub toasted. They just made a bad experience worse by giving me two of what I didn't order. I am from Canandaigua and people have told me that Pontillo's has changed. NOT GOOD!!!

Ordered at 6:10pm, was told it was ready for pick up at 6:29pm. Didn’t get my pick up order until 7pm. No shortage of people I was there before who got their orders before I did. Clearly unorganized and inexperienced staff. Food reflects it as well. Employee-customer interactions clearly disingenuous.
