Every time I come here I am always greeted with a friendly smile. Some places aren't that upbeat and friendly. Yet, I always feel warmed when I come here. The seating area is accommodating. The one thing about this place is no restroom. I haven't been to other popeye's chicken, but here has no restrooms at all. But they still deserve a 5 star rating because of the friendly customer service and freshness of the chicken.

Love Popeyes chicken but they are making mistakes lately. When I order chicken tenders, I order Mild tenders and they give me Spicy. It's for my kids and they cannot take the spiciness of the tenders. It's been more than a few times that they give me spicy tenders and each time I've had to go back to the Canoga Popeyes to get the right order. I am very disappointed because they are very nice and friendly but I also want my order to be correct. An update to my orders: I've visited the Canoga Popeyes many times now and they are doing an awesome job on getting my orders right. Thank you for all the hard work and great service again 😊

Ok, so I finally did it, and it's worth the wait! The spicy chicken sandwich is pretty dang good, pickle haters beware. I already prefer Popeyes over KFC any day. So to me it is just a bonus that they added yet another yummy food choice! Oh and the rumor of a line out the door is true fact but worth it.

I come here almost everyday after work at Amazon and Dine in before heading home. Francisca is Always So Nice and even knows me by my first name. My food is always fresh and the Sweet Tea is Good! Make sure you ask for Francisca if you want to get good service because the other lady who works in the Evenings is Rude... I believe her name is Irene! Irene is Rude and her customer service is horrible. She acts like she hates her job. If I see her working, I won't even come in.

I’m not usually here very often but tonight I came with my gf and we were so blown away by the kindness and hospitality! I apologize if I’m getting the name wrong, I think her name was Marta but she really made our experience so positive! She was such a sweetheart and you can tell she has a big heart and treats her employees with care. She was so kind to give us some extra food for waiting, though this happened to not be a very long wait! Very accommodating and very good service!

The staff at this location are very nice, even though it was a quite busy Tuesday. My food came out super quick, and was very hot. The only thing I wasn't too much of a fan of what's the strawberry biscuit. It was a little too overly sweet for my taste.

Consistently savory, crispy, and delicious. I loved the spicy tenders 😋 from our latest trip. ALMOST too good to share.

Great tasting chicken, Red beans and Rice have a delicious smokey flavor, sweet tea is great,a little too sweet for me so I mix it half with brewed tea refreshing! Friendly, helpful staff ,clean dining area. The area is a little sketchy but if you dine in the "People Watching" is entertaining.

This particular Popeyes was in a very busy and crowded neighborhood therefore not in the best condition and the employees a little under trained. however I did get a plate of food and I enjoyed the meal and there was nothing preventing me from having a good dinner.

Located in Canoga Park, this restaurant falls in line with it's surroundings, meaning it's about on par for the area, no more no less. It's usually relatively clean, sometimes during busy times there's remnants of other guests visible on the table. The staff comes and goes and most of them are younger so more every once in a while there will be a slight mistake on my order (to go vs here, wings vs strips etc) but other than that the service is pretty friendly. One point off for restroom facilities, it's outside the restaurant and it's not usually the best place to go if you get my drift. All in all not bad.

The chicken strips are good but can occasionally be rubbery in consistency. The wings and shrimp are also a favorite. But by far my new favorite is the spicy chicken sandwich. I think hands down it is better than any other fast food chicken sandwich including chick fil a. Nice selection of sides like mac n cheese. And a great selection of dipping sauces.

I love Popeyes. They evolve as our tastes change, the tea rocks as does red beans and rice. Many sauces are available which is great. And a couple very spicy ones too. My only real issue is the tiny side sizes. RB & Rice is about 1/3 cup. Maybe 1/2. $2.49 is way too high for a few spoons worth. Hence 4 stars.

Pretty good for fast food, and the price is reasonable. I haven't tried everything but the few times that I have eaten there it has been a pleasant experience. On my last visit I had the chicken sandwich which was very good, the piece of chicken was very big and sticking out from the bun. It was much larger than Chic fia-A for a similar price, though not as tender but way more filing.

Visited on this Popeye's on the say I'd their grand opening. No chicken sandwiches available and the cashier advised that there wouldn't be until the beginning of the year. Nonetheless I ordered a 3 wing dinner which included double red beans and rice. It was all good. The chicken was freshly cooked. It had NOT been sitting under a warming lamp. I hope they keep up the good work.

10/24/2025 I've been going to this franchise since as early as January - April of 2012. Their chicken are good and as fresh most of the time.

I will start by saying that I will visit this location again, just to make certain my experience was not a fluke. I've been to this location several times before, because it the nearest to my house, and because it used to serve great combos of plump chicken, tasty biscuits, and the best Mac n' Cheese around. At some point the recipe for the Mac n' Cheese was changed, and I stopped enjoying my visits. This time, I paid some $13, for the smallest chicken in the world, or maybe even pigeon. Check the attached pic to see how small the chicken thigh and leg look in comparison to my hand. The nearly dry fowl was accompanied by a biscuit made of paste, and fries. While the fries were nothing to call home about, the spices were welcomed to give the "chicken" some flavor. I think Popeyes might be playing the 99 cent Only game, in which you pay just a little more than before, for less than you use to get. This business midel gets you to be only middle of the road, with much better chicken competitors. Popeyes, if you want to win my business, do better.

Most critical: Good chicken. This location has poor parking and limited seating. It was aesthetically upgraded a few years ago, but maintenance has been poor. Staff service is OK.

It's okay but, either they need more people working there or the people have to work faster! There's people always waiting outside! For delivery service the system has to be much faster! Just be there before 12pm then things are smooth!

The chicken is tasty and hot-freshly made. The dinner oder I made was taken correctly and fast, then made and served quickly. The soda lacked enough "Fizz" of carbonation. This location is FILTHY and smells like an old mop. Gross. I Came on 3/26/19 lobby full of customers. I didn’t mind waiting 30 minutes for my food but what I didn’t like is the lady responsible for calling out the orders that are ready to go put customers aside to answer her cell phone. Of course she took her time to finish her phone call while orders we piling up with no consideration at all for customers to get their orders while still hot. Lady made the excuse that it was “her boss”. If that’s true the manager should be calling the store phone because calling employees on their personal cell phones while working is extremely unprofessional. Terrible customer service here.

I bought a large drink today. There was hardly any drink in the cup. I just opened it and it was filled above the half mark with ice!! Don't tell me that was by accident!! The fountain soda cost them pennies and they still saw fit to gip on the drink?? The chicken is very good, but the lack of soda in my large cup spoiled the experience for me!

It's fun to mix something unique in their soda machine. One time they didn't give us an extra mashed potatoes we paid for, and we had to drive all the way back to get it. Usually, they are generous with sauces.

This Popeyes does not have a drive thru, never any parking and takes for ever to get food ready! Also, I ordered and paid for a pie and when it got home it was missing. They always mess up my order too. Sadly it’s the only Popeyes around here so it is what it is. Would love better and faster survive if ever possible… one can wish!

This location is competitive, there are two large chains at the same intersection, the access is tricky depending on your direction. Free parking and the place inside was clean. No bathroom inside. Thls location caters to a Hispanic base so check your English order carefully.

Dirty, the order taker act like she didn't want to sell chicken. I ask for 4 pc platter she entered a four piece combo, even after saying i wanted my sides to be double mash potatoes. Then my order was short a biscuit. On the good side the chicken was good moist not dried out like it was warming for a while. The total service seemed like the people didn't GAF.

This was a very poor customer experience. The woman that was taking orders and money was rude and barely spoke English. She was not helpful. By the time I got my order I wasn't even sure I wanted it anymore. Someone on my family died today from cancer so I tried to take into consideration that I was very sensitive as the result of a very emotional day. This was not the way to end it. It will be a very long time before I return if ever to Popeyes. Congratulations on losing a 30+ year customer.

Not great. Went there on a Sunday expecting a replacement for chic fil A and was greatly disappointed. So were the other 2 people with me. The chicken was dry and not flavorful. Also the ratio of chicken too bread was off. They advertise a picture of their sandwich next to the competitors showing theirs being much bigger with alot more chicken, but it actually makes the sandwich worse.

Ordered a family pack with a side of fried pickles. Somehow it was all bland. Bought it because my wife is pregnant and was craving it only, to be very disappointed and upset prego. The entire meal was bland and it came with just one pack of blackened ranch. One pack of ranch for eight pieces of chicken side of fries and pickles.

Very slow service especially for pick up orders were in the cage to go directly to the cashier and pick up the order. The store is very very very very slow on the way how do you operate they need to hire more people. This location is in the middle of San Fernando Valley where the temperature exceeds 90° at times and customers are waiting in line in the heat outside the store.. Hire more staff or put shades and umbrellas for customers while waiting.

Haven’t had the food yet, I just don’t like the false advertisements. Google Maps says this location have a drive through and all type of others things that this location does NOT have.

Every Popeyes I've been too has warm chicken sandwiches except for this place. Not just once but multiple times and they try to charge me for sauces that your supposed to get for free with the sandwiches. Cheap and lazy

This location is one of the worst locations, the spicy chicken sandwich was raw from the inside. The person who was packing the food wasn't even wearing gloves in the middle of a pandemic. The customer service is very disappointing, very impolite and rude. Honestly this was the worst experience I had in a restaurant. Don't waste your time or money.

Register employees service was terrible. I asked could they put fries in bag without anything else , daughter's are vegetarians. I had the hardest time getting that done by them. Finally cashier did but gave me a firm.warning. I'm going to do this one time but can't do again. Wow. I spent $ 32.

Great food poor accuracy on orders and zero remorse for their own mistakes it is always the customers fault here.Used to go weekly now i go to other places.Seemed like either the manager hates her job and the clients pay for it with her attitude or it is a ego problem where nobody can accept the fact that they do half the orders wrong here. It is ok to make mistake acknowledge it and keep moving so you can get better but it is not good to be indenial it remains a systemic issue within this location. Horrible service , 4 lady's was gossiping and not paying attention to the job , I order a family special of regular chicken and I was waiting for over 20 min. Because there was no chicken, was on the fryer and no one told me anything when I order even when I ask 2 times for my order , at the 3rd time I ask for it they told me "oh sorry the chicken is cooking is take 3 more min." I got very disappointed and I have to leave so I asked for a refund. Very bad experience just because 4 lady's was gossiping 🤦🤦

I ordered 12 piece of dark only chicken I got home and it had also chicken breast included. Call the store the next day the manager told me to bring the receipt I get there it's another manager questioning me a lot of questions. The main focus for this manager was who did I speak with on the phone What their name was etc. Very unprofessional staff treated me like I was a thief. I went home and grab the chicken and brought it all the way back so I can show them because the manager States if the receipt says dark only there's no way they made the mistake. Out of $35 plus I received $8 some change back for the refund they wanted To pay by peace instead of the whole order that was wrong To begin with. It wasn't so Much the money that bothered me I have been eating here for several years What bothered me the most was how they treated me like I was a thief that made up my story looking for a handout. If I was the supervisor I'd be firing everyone there The lack of customer service is insulting to the industry. If you make a mistake you fix it and move on to the next customer you don't sit there and argue in front of all these other customers. I also filed a grievance and never heard back from the region manager of course. Since they want to treat me like I'm some piece of trash I've never eaten there ever again I used to go there several times a week. I always got the same order too. I'm not the reviewing type of person. But I have never in life been treated with such bad customer service. Ib called around 5 40 to see what specials they had. The girl picked up the phone stated there was no special and hung up. So I called back and spoke to a manager. She said they was busy and that is why I was treated rudely. I asked for the general managers name and when he would be in. She disconnected the call. So I drove by, as I'm waiting in line one of the workers is arguing with a customer and exchanging chicken that was dried out. So I step up and ask for the manager for both of us, conveniently she had went to lunch and wouldn't be back for two hours. What manager takes a break for two hours. Long story short I walked a few steps to dominoes and will never buy chicken from this popeyes again

Very low class popeyes. Obviously because it’s located in canoga. And we all know what kind of people live there. The manager hispanic obviously and very rude lady, liar, and low class. She made a mistake on my food and wouldnt refund me exactly 5minutes later i came back with the food and receipt saying u got my whole order incorrect. She denied that happening and said no i didnt make a mistake. Even though she admitted that they accidentally put the wrong order in contradicting herself 5 seconds later. I told her then please refund my order because i didnt order this. She started yelling at me infront of a bunch of customers trying to make me look bad. Three lowclass customers jumped into our conversation thinking i was in wrong because the manager made it seem that way infront of everyone because she didnt want to look wrong. I just told her keep the food and everything this will be last time i ever go there. There was also a drunk guy inside trying to fight customers and she was just ignoring him. If u guys want your orders wrong, if u want to potentially get physically hurt there by drunks or wannabe cholos who dont know how to fight, or have food taste blan because they dont know how to make things right there. Then be my guest and go see for yourself. The manager is an overweight hispanic lady named irene or arasely something like that I forgot her name. But she worked today 4/25/2022 at 9pm.

The chicken was way over cooked and tasteless. And there were feathers in a few of the pieces.and the chicken was also cold The biscuits weee overcooked and tasted stale, threw them away along with 5 pieces of chicken. The rice and beans and coleslaw were both very good.

I would rate them a negative zero star if I could. They do not know what good customer service is. I come here a lot but I will not anymore!!! Every time I come it’s an issue. Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is one of my favourites restaurants, having said that, as the situation worsens in order to keep a good reputation restaurants have to shine and very brightly. The cashier corrected me for not standing in front of the shield that they have put up to protect the customer and worker at the register and I totally understand the correction but as am looking into the kitchen I see one worker ONE with his mask properly on, ONE, others do not even have them and one woman has hers covering half of her chin, she is talking loud and as we know particles are flying from her mouth straight onto the food, am I stretching it? maybe but this is no time to be taking chances; I was corrected yes I am down for it but who is correcting them. In the future I may change my rating but as of this moment I cannot in good consciences be without letting this be known. Did I buy? you may ask, no I did not.

You forgot to give me my brisket. I bought 25 pieces for my office and you told me it’s all there so you gave me nine of my 12 brisket nor any of my Rice . Your phone does not work . Do not order online ! They do not do check for order confirmation and will give out food without checking if it’s for them. I ordered online and they said they had already given it out and just smiled. I asked how it’s possible to give out food without checking confirmation. Again no answer just smiled and said oh wells go online and get a refund. Horrible management horrible service no respect

I had formerly rated this Popeyes 5 stars. However, my last 2 visits have not went well. The first time I couldn't order all of the chicken strips I wanted because they only had a few mild strips left. The last time my kids wanted to try their nuggets and they were sold out so I asked for mild strips and they were sold out of those as well...at 11:45AM.

The staff workers at this location are very rude and unprofessional. My order took to long for me to receive it because the workers are to busy laughing and playing around instead of actually working. A few workers there were saying racial slurs and profanity towards black customers that were in line and eating on their orders. That location isn’t a friendly and respectable restaurant. I understood every word they said about Black customers in Spanish because I am bilingual. No customer should ever have to deal with rude fast food workers attitudes and disrespect. I suggest that you DON’T visit the Canoga Park location

Good chicken, but the employees are the literal worst of any fast food chain. Every. Single. Time. It's actually impressive how bad they are, like I almost respect the consistency. I really wish this place was better. I want to like it, I really do, but they just make it impossible.

I came in and ordered a lot of food. They took forever. And they didn’t even have clients. I waited at least 30 minutes for my food. When I finally received my food I asked for sauce. And the cashier didn’t want to give me any and then she screamed at me. She was also talking to me in a very rude way and seemed annoyed when I was ordering. I will for sure never come here ever again.

Just literally visited the absolute worst Popeyes I've ever been in in my entire life. Miniscule tenders that they were the size of nuggets and dry. They refused to give any more sauce than the 2 we were bestowed for a meal for 2. They charge me an extra dollar for 1 more sauce each. They went onto refuse anymore than 3 packers of ketchup for us to share. We damn near had to beg for any jam for our biscuits. We were very polite and courteous. Which is why we were so surprised by the attitude we received. I'll never go back and hope you save your money for a better branch of this franchise than this one.

As a full-time deliver driver this is the worst place to pick up an order and the worst place if you want to order using Uber eats or any other app. They don't pay attention to the online orders they don't really care and that's one of the reasons that I don't come anymore unless the payment is worth it

I ordered dinner for an elderly people. I realized inside half of the food is missing. I tried to call the driver immediately, he said call the store. I called the store like 15 times, no answer. I called a customer service number, no one to talk with...than I got some terrible chatting where you can not complain just choose from some offered option. They offered some point for me, than I didn't accept it. They offered $5 store credit(thanks no, because I won't eat popeyes anymore), and come on! $5 for 5 chicken wings and a large mango lemonade? It's a joke right?! Then They say in the chat , someone will contact me in 24-48 hours!!!! Seriously?We were here without enough dinner , the store is 5 miles and they can not fix the problem? Blocking the customer from any complaints? Seriously? This is very unprofessional and disrespectful with their customers! I am very frustrated! And I will go forward because it is not okay from any company in food business!

SECOND VISIT: on May 23, 2022 I was so hungry when I was on that area ... The I got back to that Popeyes restaurant again. (1) I ordered Shrimp + Chicken Breast + Coleslaw + Small Soda and I had to pay over $19 ... and no explanation on the receipt. I think the order taker doesn't know how to take order properly. (2) The persons who works in the kitchen are very slow ( the waiting time was twice longer than IN & OUT BURGER. (3) I didn't order French Fries, but I got one on the shrimp 🦐 (see on the picture) (4) The price of Shrimp on the board was $2.99 .. but I paid $5.99 ( please.. see on the picture) *** They (the Employee) really need a good training. ========================= I don't go much to Popeyes restaurant. Particularly this place at the corner of Roscoe and De Soto, had messed up my order. I came when almost no body in the restaurant, and my order number was #2264. I waited and waited and I ask the server: "where is my order" The server told me : "Not coming yet" Until the restaurant was became busy, and my order was not ready yet. I asked the server again and again, but the answer was still same: "Not coming yet" After the crowd was finished I asked again: "How long you make one Chicken Breast?" And then the server started to find out where was my order. And no body could find out.... Finally she found the order that was been on the counter for more than 30 minutes ... Meaning was already cold. ... but the order number was #2263.... ( That was my order with wrong order number). Who do I have to blame ? The computer or the server ? But who ever did mistake, the server must offer the new hot food, and not giving me the old cold food that already stayed on the counter for a while. What do you think?
