The best Mexican food in north county. Breakfast burrito #5 is the BEST. It’s flavorful and will keep you full all day. Surf N Turf burrito is also AMAZING. Really good after surfing when super hungry.

This location is very consistent with the quality in their hospitality and food. Best chicken soup I've ever tried so far. The flavor or the chilaquiles, the mole plate, the enchiladas it's a must try. Most relaxed and welcoming Mexican place in Encinitas.

Perfect for what it is! It serves amazing and unpretentious food for the perfect price. It works because even though it's a low price, the quality is there. If the price we're higher, it would try to be some kind of fine dining thing. Good food, good price lunch stop. I will probably be back almost every day while I'm here.

This place is AWESOME!!! We got the Carne Asada Fries. It costs $8 and is worth every penny! The fries were well balanced, so that the toppings weren't only on the top, but also on lower levels when you reached them. The meat was tasty, the fries were appropriately crunchy (not soggy) and the entire meal was delicious! I can't wait to get back!!!

Service: Amazing Food: Outstanding My meal was a to-go order and after my first bite of my Carne Asada Fries I regretted the time wasted walking back to my campsite! Yum, would be an understatement for everything I ordered. The flavor of meat we tried was spot on. (Carbs Asada, Carnitas*) Also big ups to Elisa and Efrain for handling my order situation with so much class and grace I had to shout them both out. So if you’re camping at San Elijo and crave a meal after a long day of setting up, hanging out or hanging 10, this easy 5-7 min walk is worth the steps for the Service and the Flavor!!

Very hot food to go! Stayed hot without heating it up! Be careful I burned my leg on the tortillas and soup because it was that hot lol. Loved the soup just like Jorge's Mexican signature soup! Trying to decide which it better!♡

The food is innovative, creative, and most importantly delicious. Portion size is great and accurate and you will not leave hungry. The fish taco was amazingly unique, and delicious It was an absolute amazing experience. The servers did an excellent job explaining the menu in detail. the flavours were unmistakably and deliciously Mexican. The staff was wonderful. I would highly recommend this place.

This place is authentic! Food tastes clean not greasy, and super fresh not to mention authentic. So glad I accidentally stumbled on it. We ordered the fish burrito and chile relleno burrito and both were phenomenal. Highly recommend this spot. The customer service was also wonderful. Five stars all around.

Yum! Great shop, good service just like any place near the beach the prices are a little inflated, overall a great experience. Tough to find a parking space on busy weekends and holidays.

Good food, clean, great location friendly staff. Parking could be a problem. Guac was surprisingly smooth and bright green, not sure there was too much avocado there since the flavor was not strong. The serving was generous. California Burrito was delicious but I'm not an expert. Fish taco was good, shrimp taco seemed to be missing something. Sonoran salsa was excellent.

The chicken soup that everyone was raving about is way too salty. I was not impressed. Our vegetarian burritos barely had any veggies in them, mostly rice and beans. There's much much better Mexican food in San Diego.

The food is good but the service can definitely be much better. The lady at the cash register was great. I ordered a fish taco and a couple of small items. The food had been ready for a little while but I was still waiting awhile as it had gotten busy. Another girl (with glasses and highlighted hair tied back) came out from the kitchen and bagged up an order that was placed after mine had been ready, so I politely asked her if I could also have my order. She gave me the dirtiest look, threw my food in a bag, and spun back into the kitchen. All this happened around 11am Sunday. I guess she has having a really bad day?! I love the food but that certainly left a pretty bad taste in my mouth, no pun intended. Not sure if I'd go back there. That girl needs a major attitude adjustment and probably a new job, too.

I never observed any staff person clean the repeatedly touched public counter (Where customers pick up their orders). There were two tables inside that seated four people. Otherwise, you take your order as a to go order.

Spent $36 on three of the most highly rated things and they were just ok. The mole plate was the best thing we got. The fish tacos and chicken soup were so incredibly average. It wasn’t a good value.

Oh my! I haven't had Montezuma's Revenge in quite a while, but I sure did get it after eating here! Stay close to a toilet cuz you're going to get the runs! Yikes!!

This used to be my go-to spot for burritos and soup. Quality seems to be dropping over the last year. I like my burritos warm or hot. The last few times it's been less than lukewarm tortilla and meat. If they're charging more due to inflation, at least the quality up. Hopefully they can bump up the consistency/quality of the food.

Hubby said food was very good, but husband became very ill , I did not eat any of it , So not sure if he had food poison. The time frame and symptoms correlated when he became ill. Will not grub hub there again.

Bought a 32oz soup today, drove all the way back home to find one small piece of chicken, only a spoon full of rice and 3 pieces of avocado in the entire bowl. I basically just paid $11 with tip for broth. Super disappointed

First time ordering here. Only thing good was the napkins. Chicken in the soup was tough as shoe leather. Chips were stale. Paid for sour cream in my burritos, didn’t get any. Paid for extra shrimp, barely found any.
