Great food and service. Recommend the king prawns with garlic while they're on the Christmas menu. Worth being cheeky and asking for some bread to mop up the sauce.

Absolutely beautiful home made Italian food. Pizzas are hand stretched and delicious. Pasta, good sized portion and beautifully cooked. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Weekday lunch time was an excellent time to go. Service excellent, food excellent. Nothing to complain about at all. Will definitely go back again and again and again.

We ate here early on a Friday night in January. The food was excellent and the service friendly and efficient. The cost was also very reasonable given the good quality. We noticed that this restaurant was very popular with families with young children. This was expected given their pizza and pasta menu. Booking is absolutely essential.

Delicious, authentic food. We went on a Friday evening and it was full so definitely recommend booking. There was a great, lively atmosphere. Despite being busy, the service was great. Staff were attentive and we never had to wait long for drinks or food. Lots of vegetarian options too. Looking forward to our next visit.

Just had another lovely meal here. It was really busy but the food was delicious and we didn't wait long for our food. Fabulous atmosphere and the staff are so friendly. The chef 👩‍🍳 work non-stop don't know how they manage it. Roll on 6th Jan when we are back again for my 80th 👏👏

My wife and I went in early so I cannot say what the atmosphere would be like, I can say the food was excellent as was the service, and it was great value for money. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited Villaggio for the first time and it absolutely lives up to the reviews. Since it opened a couple of short months ago - it's always been busy and we can see why. The food was outstanding - we had Arancini, Meatballs and Calamari to start, the Tagliatelli with King Prawns and Mushrooms and Canneloni. Portions were generous - but not too much (the exact right balance for excellent value!) and the flavours really really good. The service was really good as well. We will 100% be back - so happy to have it on our doorstep! Thanks Team!

Delicious Italian food! If you love good pasta, pizza, arancini and all the amazing things an authentic Italian restaurant has to offer you won't be disappointed. Very friendly and great service. Next time I need to save room for dessert as it looked fantastic and is homemade but I didn't have room. Lovely pinot grigio as well!

Great restaurant we dined inside the place was full. They had outside seating which had alot off room so if you want to eat inside I recommend booking. I had the calamari to start which was amazing and I had a pizza off the specials for mains which was also great. There was plenty of flavour and good size portions. The atmosphere inside was amazing the place was full with family's, couples and friends all having a good time and enjoying themselves. I would recommend this restaurant to all great friendly atmosphere with goos qaulity food.

Booked a table for two based on generally excellent Google reviews. Didn't dissapoint. The Seafood Spaghetti was excellent as was the Lasagne. Had sticky toffee pudding and a dark chocolate brownie with pistachio ice cream, all excellent. The prices were worthy for the quality. The staff were really friendly and hit the correct balance of checking in/letting us enjoy our meal. The tables might be a little on top of each other for some (fine for us). Will book again for sure.

Incredible food and amazing staff! Wanted to try everything, we had a starter sharer, two sides, carbonara, Ragu and a dessert. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back soon!

‘like having Italy at my doorstep’ After coming back from my Milan trip I was unfortunately left still craving some good authentic Italian food:( Wish I found this place sooner as it’s literally a few minutes drive away. Tagliatelle Gamberoni- pasta cooked Al dente in Napoli sauce with a bit of cream and fresh prawns! Lasagne- beautifully layered with ground beef in between fresh sheets of pasta and rich tomato sauce. Tiramisu- if you’re a fan of coffee this will not disappoint! Absolutely loved the food here! Fresh and bursting with all the right flavours! Really surprised to see how busy the restaurant was around 6pm midweek! Food must really be good here- Id suggest making a reservation on weekends to be safe. Staff were also amazing! So hospitable, friendly and attentive! Cannot wait to try the rest of the menu!

Another excellent meal here. The restaurant was busy but the service was still quick & good. My teenager has just found out that they are coeliac & this was our 1st meal out since then. It was great to have confidence in the staff & food & the GF pasta with broccoli was was declared delicious as was the GF cheesecake so a big thumbs up for catering so well for coeliacs. The rest of us also loved our meals, both pizza & pasta and all the desserts were superb. I loved my salted dark chocolate brownie 👌🏻 The staff are lovely & the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended. We'll be back 👍🏻

Had an amazing meal here, it was a quick stop for myself and my son on our way home, we hadn't been before, but will definitely be returning. The pizza's were the best I've ever had and I've never seen my son eat so quietly because he enjoyed it so much. The service was fantastic, our waitress Zen was so friendly and made us feel very welcomed, very good recommendations from her too. Will definitely be recommending to friends and can't wait to go back.

Just got back from a lush evening with my friends. The food was great. For me though, what made it so great was the service. Having spent time in customer service based roles it’s such a pleasure when you have really fun and engaging staff - it literally makes the whole experience so much better. Our waitress, Zen, was great and a real pleasure to interact with - Thank You, Zen!

We have visited this restaurant yesterday for dinner. Absolutely fantastic. The food 5* quality and soooo tasty. Staff are so friendly and kind. Love the atmosphere. We would recommend this place 100%. Child friendly. Easy to park on main road. Looking forward to our next visit.

We were a party of 9 celebrating a birthday on a Friday night. Couldn't fault it, food was lovely, staff friendly and helpful. Very busy, had to wait a while to order desserts, but that wasn't really a problem for us. Will definitely be returning.

Incredible hidden gem in cardiff. The Palladino pizza was out of this world with the honey drizzle dip! Starters were also 10 out of 10. I've been too many Italian restaurants in my time but this beats them all. Service was spot on, and overall excellent value for the quality of food that's on offer! I will be back when visiting Cardiff.

Nothing flashy........just fabulous authentic Italian pasta and pizza. Great choice of wine and cocktails and service was excellent.Home made meatballs to start was the highlight for me.

We had a lovely meal here. Service was efficient and staff are all very friendly ! Loved the busy atmosphere. The food is delicious. I highly recommend the spaghetti cabonara. The cheesecake is the best I've ever tasted. We can't wait to return.

Fantastic restaurant with amazing food. We sat outside for our meal expecting it to be a bit chilly but once the heaters were on it was fine. We had two portions of garlic bread with mozzarella for starters, it was so good we ordered more to go with our meals. We all had pasta, I had the penne casalinga and cleared my plate as it was delicious. The portions were a good size, not massive so room for dessert of white chocolate profiteroles. Our waiter was very friendly. I'll definitely go back and would recommend to anyone

Great restaurant for carbo loading prior to the Cardiff half marathon. We went as a large group and although the restaurant was busy, service was good. The food was excellent and the serving staff very attentive. We tried a variety of different drinks too! My only criticism is the lack of toilets - only one unisex loo for the entire restaurant.

Compact and a lot of babies and young children around 6pm/early evening. Go a bit later if you want a child/baby free atmosphere It didn't bother us 3, all were well behaved (and the babies/children were to be fair) ;-) Great food and so tasty and fresh! Lasagne to die for, vegan pasta dish delicious and a pizza fresh and piping hot (2nd time lucky as we said no anchovies). Garlic bread, salad, and chips to accompany our mains washed down with a large glass of house red. Fast turnaround of tables so I don't think you could spend all evening here unless there was a big party of you. (Our friends were kicked off a nearby table after 1hr.15 mins, no time for dessert or another glass of wine) :-(

Lovely food. Service was a little slow but that said we were a large group on a Tuesday night. Didn't like where the toilet was situated but that's being picky, no point posting a review if its not honest. Food definitely made up for any negative.

Food tasted really good, no issues with customer service, apart from food taking longer than excepted, although it was a busy night. Atmosphere unique and welcoming, overall would go again and definitely recommend.

Food was ok. Meatballs were warm when served, not hot and were a bit mushy/sloppy. Spicy pizza was nice enough but that also was a bit mushy, the peperoni slices were more to one side and the chilli flakes weren't really spread out so I basically had half and half pizza. Service and food checks were a bit slow but what I will say is that they did mention that they didn't expect it to be that busy on the night as bookings flew in last minute. This probably meant they were understaffed so food/service was probably effected by that. The staff there did seem nice though. One thing that didn't go down well was that we heard glasses/bottles being thrown in the background making loud bangs near us which would often interrupt our conversation/meal. For a starter, meal and one alcoholic drink, you're looking at about £20-£30 on average.

We had a lovely experience with our food. Inside service was good, what left a sour taste was when we were leaving an employee stopped our taxi to accuse us of stealing glasses, when we took one glass outside to their out door area to wait for a taxi, which we left there.

Ate here recently for the first time. It’s a really nice venue with a great vibe. Staff / service was very good despite the restaurant being very busy. The pizza was lovely and tasted fresh but sadly it had a very soggy bottom and came to table cold. As I was eating as part of a group it would have been awkward to complain. So, for me it was disappointing but think I was just unlucky.

It was our 30 year Anniversary and to be honest the Service was okay looked under staffed in my view . The starters were burnt and when my pizza came it was just “Black” . The young lady who served me was very apologetic . My Wife had Lasagne which was fine . I never normally complain but what a let down. My Wife is GP and to be honest I had the most horrendous Diarrhoea that night . Never ever going back and People be aware of the Service charge. 😢
