Exceptional customer service from the second we walked in! Thank you! Zeke and Isaac are the best. Thank you! Really beautiful Better Buzz location. Literally a block from the beach, the store is open and bright with inside and outside seating. The team (big team when we visited) go out of their way to take good care of you, make your drinks and food perfectly, and get everything to you quickly. It was my first time here, so I had to go ask about 4 times for things - where is the sugar? (easy to find outside, but the barista gave me some), may I have a bowl for water for our dog? (He went in back and found a bigger bowl just for her). They were 109% patient with all my interruptions and 100% fast and helpful. Really great visit.

I recently had the pleasure of discovering Better Buzz Coffee while on vacation, there aren't any in my East Coast state, yet, sadly. Our experience was top notch, from the moment we walked in, the vibe was super cozy and welcoming. The staff was friendly and quick, making it really easy to order. We were staying at a hotel nearby for a week and ended up walking to Better Buzz every single day for our morning coffee fix—and even a few afternoon coffee breaks! We tried almost everything on the menu, and honestly, everything was a cut above the rest. If you see a long line inside, just order from the outside window like we did a few times; it saved us a ton of waiting! The coffee is fantastic! You can really taste the quality in their small-batch roasts, and knowing they roast and deliver fresh coffee daily makes it even better. I love that they’re CCOF certified and focus on Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance coffees. The baristas were super helpful and really knew their stuff, giving us great recommendations. Plus, the cozy atmosphere is perfect for hanging out with friends or getting some work done with their Wi-Fi, making it a great spot to chill. Highly recommend!

Better Buzz Coffee in Carlsbad is hands down one of the best coffee spots in the area! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a modern yet cozy vibe that makes it a great place to work, catch up with friends, or just relax with a great cup of coffee. The coffee here is absolutely amazing. Their signature “Best Drink Ever” lives up to its name, and they offer a variety of delicious flavors to customize your drink just the way you like it. Whether you’re into classic espresso drinks, cold brews, or something a little more unique, they have something for everyone. The quality is top-notch, with rich, smooth flavors that make every sip enjoyable. The seating options are another huge plus. There’s plenty of indoor space with a stylish design, as well as outdoor seating to soak up the Carlsbad sunshine. The staff is friendly, efficient, and always willing to make recommendations if you’re unsure what to try. This was our favourite coffee shop in Carlsbad. It can get very busy, and the service can be slow at times. The coffee and cakes are good, so I decided it was worth the wait.

I’m visiting from Arizona and my friend brought me in because she wanted me to try the black lavender tea latte. AMAZING. This will have to be a place I come to visit every time I’m in town. Better Buzz should consider opening a place in Goodyear, AZ! An up and coming city with plenty of opportunity!

Stopped by Better Buzz Carlsbad a few minutes before closing on a long road trip and had an awesome experience. Kenley was super welcoming and didn't rush us at all. He made us two delicious lattes to go, even added an extra shot in each since we told him we needed caffeine to keep driving, and then surprised us with a handful of pastries on the house. The lattes were great, and the chocolate chip walnut cookies and croissants were super tasty and very much appreciated. Really kind customer service and great coffee! I came here the other day and was helped by a younger gentleman. I believe I overheard someone refer his name as Joe, and he put a smile on my face after saying “Enjoy your buzz” (I did enjoy it). It might've been a small and chucklesome action but it really brightened up my mood. I ended up getting a pastry as well later that night from a gentleboy named Zeke and he as well as his co-workers was all very kind and considerate to me. The service here never disappoints and I'm glad to see somewhere fun around here in the village. Great Job better buzz boys.

Nice coffee shop a couple blocks from our hotel. I ordered the ham and cheese croissant and a pink dragon smoothie. You order at the counter then you stand nearby until your order is ready. This isn’t a good process because you’re stuck standing there until your food is ready. The sitting area is in a separate room and you would not hear your name called. Plus it was busy and it seemed they were also trying to fulfill online orders so I stood there 11 minutes. Please change this process. Please tell your dining in customers to take a seat and you will call their name loudly or bring their order to them. The ham and cheese croissant was good. I like it when cheese does not ooze everywhere when you are trying to eat the sandwich. The pink dragon smoothie was ok. It was missing a definitive flavor. They have street parking and a small parking lot. The staff was extremely busy and i felt like a number versus a customer. Excellent location.

The weather was wonderful, and we opted to enjoy the weather 🌤️. Better Buzz is located near/in the Carlsbad Village, a fun place to drink coffee ☕. The parking lot is small, but we were able to park. I look forward to sipping another bold cup of coffee at Better Buzz Coffee.

Wifey and I visited this coffee shop while on vacation. The name piqued our interest and we decided to try it out. We ordered a vanilla bean iced latte, and the flavor was pretty good. The service was slow and horrible. With a whole group of employees working inside, I expected my drink served a little quicker. We literally waited for over 20 mins for the drink after we had ordered it and found a place to stand around and wait. The cashier was polite and I cannot really comment on the atmosphere as we did not go inside the actual shop. Overall, the entire experience was just “OK.” Not a coffee shop you want to drive out of your way for or be returning for more. Just my humble opinion!

Came in at 5: 30am to do some work and requested for the heat to be turned, on they said they would see if they could then proceeded to turn on the air conditioner. They think anybody needing a dedicated workspace is homeless and treat them as such even as a customer. Their main goal is to get you in and out, not to give you an experience.. I understand to an extent but why even have seating? I can say this about both the ocean side and Carlsbad location. Last time I sat down to do some work I was asked what I was working on and why I was there by the goth girl manager.

Waited for about 30 min for two cortados and when the order finally came it was two latte sized coffees with a “cortado” sticker on them. When I pointed out those were not cortados, the barista immediately agreed and said “normally they are equal parts espresso and coffee.” “Ok, right. I ordered two cortados.” Thankfully they remade them pretty quickly, but it was a twilight zone moment. The coffee was good. But I won’t be back.

Not sure what's going on lately with the Better Buzz in Carlsbad and Escondido, but when we have stopped by in recents weeks they have had the chairs up an hour in advance of closing, creating a sense of being closed and / or a very uninviting atmosphere. First I was told they couldn't make a certain hot drink with the topping I requested and then once it was ultimately served, it was the drink I originally asked to have made. Then when I went to use the bathroom right at closing time, with customers still ordering drinks, I was told I couldn't use the restroom before I left because they were closed.?. Our family has been happily going to both Escondido and Carlsbad for years, watched staff come and staff go, but lately these two locations give more of a vibe of stay away versus "come in, we're open for business". I get that hourly employees want to be sure to close on time, but putting up chairs, sweeping floors, wiping down tables an hour early is definitely a model message that doesn't encourage repeat customers, promote sustainability or growth. Hopefully this recent trend of appearing closed early is only a very short lived trend due to new or a recent "not so good", but correctable change in management/leadership...
