I love this place!! Their happy hour is genuinely insane, 50% off for already reasonably priced food is amazing. I try to come once a week because I adore their Ramen and Edmame. Wonderful wait staff. I highly recommend this place (and I'm not just doing it for the ice cream).
Food is great with a variety of choices. Authentic Japanese food. Service is good. Nice and cozy atmosphere, will definitely go back.
I love their happy hour deal and their staff is super nice! Great atmosphere and nice to have a sushi spot right by home. They have a great selection of sushi rolls to choose from, almost had decision fatigue since their options are way too many :P

Owner Andy is a great and kind person and has great employees. Had take out last night . 2 awesome rolls, sushi sashimi combination. Packaged beautifully in a sturdy bag in great solid containers. When I arrived home 13 miles away food was perfect and very appealing and tasty. Plus happy hours prices with 20% off . My wife gave me all the compliments when all I did was pick it up. Is this place always perfect? No, but 90% of the time it is, and that’s a good batting average.
We have been going here for 8 years. Best quality, value and service in north county. Nabeyaki udon comes with tempura was great. Poke bowl is fresh and delicious. The adegashi is delicate and crunchy. The sushi beancurd is balanced and done right, without being over-stuffed with rice as most other places. The rice is chewy and flavorful. The avocado roll is savory from the high quality sea weed. The tempura is delicate from using fresh rice oil, bringing out the subtle vegetable taste. The veggie fried rice is pure umami without being oily. My wife always order the chirashi bowl, heaping with fresh fish, every single time. The green tea ice cream is so yummy and creamy. The happy hour discount until 5:30 is a great deal.
We visited this sushi spot with limited time since one of our party had to get to Palomar Airport. We mentioned it when we arrived, and our server made sure our food came out super quickly. Everything was delicious and fresh—miso soup, spicy tuna rolls, and sushi combos were all fantastic. The staff was friendly and attentive. We wish we lived closer so we could come more often!
Service is pretty quick during happy hour. All wait staff are very friendly. Their sushi and Bento box is delicious and at a great price. Everything seems fresh and the restaurant is clean. Large parking lot with 2 EV chargers.
Happy Hour is such a good deal - pretty much everything is 50% off - apps, sushi, special rolls, entrees. Only sashimi, drinks and a small section of the rolls are not on sale. the yellowtail nigiri I had was super fresh. Crispy rice was excellent! Rolls are huge! But not in a good way. I like traditional size that fits nicely in your mouth in one bite, but they have american size rolls, oh well.
Their vegetable yakisoba was very yummy, the noodles had a nice texture and the pickled radish was very flavorful. Went during Happy Hour so the prices was half off but I would've happily paid in full, it was very delicious :)
I have been coming here for 16 years. Our favorite sushi spot in San Diego county. Great service top notch rolls and cool vibe inside. Really amazing happy hour too.
We’re from AZ and visited Legoland. we’re looking for a place to eat Japanese food and this place popped up having the best review. we were surprised knowing they offer 50% off on selected items for dinner. 😃 food is superb, excellent customer seevixe and ambiance is at par 👌 we will definitely come back here if we are to visit nearby. 😁
YUM! Very good sushi in Carlsbad, the servers were very attentive and the sushi was great! I got the Carlsbad roll and loved it! Great spot to stop at after a visit to the library!
Absolutely amazing sushi! Everything was fresh and delicious. Our waiter was not only super friendly but also had a great sense of humor, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, perfect for a casual night out. And as a sweet bonus, they offer free ice cream when you leave a review!
We celebrate Father's Day on Sunday here at this nice restaurant. Very nice atmosphere. It's located on the second floor of the shopping center. Easy parking. The fish were very fresh. Good service. We thought it was going to be very crowded because of Father's Day, but it was ok. No waiting. Great place to relax.

Nice relaxing music! Sushi was very fresh and taste was great! Was are first time here and it’s definitely a place to keep coming back to. The rolls were huge. Are server was prompt and explained everything we asked about. Gave us time to look at the menu. Really good service!
Delicious and fresh made sushi. I had one of their meal deals and it was worth it. Chicken katsu, bbq short ribs and sushi. A lot of food for the price. Friendly and attentative staff. Go here if you are in the area!
My experience eating here at this outstanding Japanese restaurant was so delicious and just right. What I ordered was the 3 iteam combo so tasty, and I have to say it filled me up. I recommend the 3 item combo, and that's what I'm ordering again next time.
We got some appetizers and rolls. The calamari and the awesome roll are great!
Came for lunch. Had Salmon teriyaki (lunch menu) without teriyaki sauce. Ordered hot green tea. What I liked: Food combination and quality was good. Service was good. What I did not liked: Music playlist. Old and nothing related to Japanese culture. A little loud too. Made me feel an unpleasant experience. Restaurant don’t have to go cups for hot drinks. It was offered a soda to go cup. That can transfer plastic to drink. Tables layout. Good. Not great.
Mediocre at best compared to other places I have been. Service terrible, no bussing, having to flag down for anything when it was quiet and fully staffed. Food fine but did not stand out for me. And they charge for green tea refills which I have never seen. Cute place, however.
Weird vibes. Came here for happy hour and left feeling unsatisfied. They purposely make it confusing so that you spend more. happy hr discount only applies if you purchase at least 3 items. Won’t be returning.
I am Japanese & this place is one of the worst Japanese restaurants I’ve dined in. I ordered dragon roll and there was barely any eel in it. Such a rip off. Also- they use the lowest quality rice. My husband ordered a chicken teriyaki dish and they served him Korean spicy chicken. This place is definitely not ran by Japanese people. Probably Korean owned. Either way, I was super disappointed in the authenticity and quality of the food. If this restaurant is in LA it would be no more than 2 star rating. It probably doesn’t help that I just moved here from LA and I’m so used to high quality Asian food out there.
