Been here twice, the waitresses are amazing!!! The first time was better than the second for sure. The pizza is the best I have had in New York so far. The pizza was cooked a little to long this last time but overall still a great pie.

Fun times, always 🎉☀️ Quick i84 highway access (exit 58) & near Taconic Parkway, with ample parking - even for trucks with trailers! We had an impromptu early birthday lunch with my older brother Doug & my nephew Doug here from Schenectady!! Yummmm white bean & escarole soup as starter! Doug had the burger, the other Doug had a small pizza (that's 6 slices!) - guess who had what?

This place has it all! We stopped in after driving all the way from Memphis, TENNESSEE and it was EXACTLY the break we needed. Extremely friendly environment, deliciously aromatic atmosphere, and absolutely INCREDIBLE shrimp scampi pizza! It was clear from all the regulars we saw while waiting on our pie, that this place is the best pizza joint in the area! We were even cutting up with the owner, George, and the other workers like we had know them forever and they treated all their customers the same way. From Jackie and Chayah, we will be back! P.S. My fiancée hardly ever eats pizza crusts, but she didn’t leave anything for me to clean up this time! 😉

Food EXCELLENT, PRICE EXCELLENT SERVICE EXCELLENT But... soda was FLAT as a tire on a winter day lol And TRY PUTTING THE HEAT ON in the WINTER ( MOST EVERYONE WEARING JACKETS) INSIDE IT WAS 14 ° OUTSIDE N PROBABLY 50° inside... u lost 1 overall star for LACK of spending $ on heat and 3 stars only for atmosphere because ur to cheap to put heat on in winter

A night out with friend was an excellent experience as we watched our waitress Hailey keep us well served for food and beverage and always with a smile. The food is mediocre but plentiful. Portions are large and good value. BUT we will be back just because the service this person gave us was memorable!

In a sea of pizza places, this our local favorite. We pick up a pie and a side almost every week, and sometimes dine in with friends. This is a family run business, with the owner and his daughters all working every week. Everyone is friendly and familial - most customers have been coming here for years. The food is reliable and hearty. The decor is nothing to write home about, but that is made up for by the friendly service and good food. It's noteworthy that they are open 7 days a week (many places around here are not open on Mondays or close very early on Sundays) with fairly late hours, which is great for those days that everything runs late. The kitchen is always open to requests and changes, which is also nice when bringing new people who have specific preferences or needs. Parking is easy and plentiful. There are a few tables outside, providing a breather and a quieter experience when the weather allows.

You know that it’s good when truckers talk about a place. They make their own mozzarella sticks that are absolutely fabulous! The chicken picatti i got last time was amazing. Oh and the homemade gravy (sauce)! delicioso Not too sweet, perfect! Lits of locals aeem to always be here. Highly recommend

Been here twice. First time, a while back, maybe a little less than a year ago, great food- shrimp scampi pizza was knock it out of the park good. Server was young but OK. Had to get going, went to the counter to find our server and saw a bunch of people doing shots with one of the cooks! Yeah, not cool. Gave them another chance, did take out. Meat pizza was loaded with all of.the meats! It was full, tasty, marinara was good, crust had flavor. The Wings were $$$ and not good at all. Small, hardly any meat, Breaded- who breads Buffalo wings? Whatever breading they used made the wing sauce gloppy and pasty. Unpleasantness.... We like to patronize local, family owned spots but can't afford to waste money on inconsistent food and service. That's why we left our last local spot after decades. I really wish I could give Gappy's an excellent review :(

We come here every once in a while as it’s close to home and we like to support local family friendly restaurants. They make a great shrimp fra diavolo (although sometimes it’s a little too diavolo). Went there today and had a less than stellar experience. We were there later in the night than normal. We had our 14 year old grandson with us The food was mediocre but that wasn’t the worst part. The loud mouth bartender was conversing with some guys at the bar. He was so loud and kept dropping the F bomb in his storytelling. Loudly. This is my last meal at Gappys. Bye Bye.

We came here based on the great reviews. But it's most likely not based on the service you receive here. The ambiance looked nice and there was both outdoor and indoor seating. We walked in and were told to sit anywhere. We sat there at the table looking at each other for 10 minutes and still no one came to us. The server was busy filling sauces behind the counter. There was also another table just sitting there as well. We just got up and left. 2 stars for the ambiance.
