All’altezza della Stella Michelin che onorano da tanti anni! Il ristorante è gestito personalmente dalla proprietà, ed è situato nel palazzo antico più bello e centrale della città. Lo stile antico e moderno si incontrano tanto nell’arredamento quanto nei piatti serviti! L’attenzione al dettaglio e alla cura dell’ospite è maniacale e discreta, e traspare anche dai bellissimi servizi utilizzati durante la cena. Il menù degustazione prevede piacevoli sorprese! Ne siamo rimasti affascinati ed incantati, e la cosa lodevole è la continua ricerca e sperimentazione che la Chef porta avanti. Speriamo di riuscire a tornarci presto, magari per riservare il romantico tavolo sul balconcino.

Arte e Materia Prima a braccetto...i miei complimenti non solo allo Chef ma anche a tutto il suo staff...ambiente raffinato e palato estasiato. Consiglio uno dei menù "Teresa a sorpresa" con degustazione vini di una ottima cantina.

Già Sotto l'Arco è un'esperienza non solo culinaria...Già sotto l'Arco è un luogo dove sentirsi coccolati fin dal primo passo all'interno del ristorante... Il sorriso con cui si viene accolti e l'empatia dimostrata dalla proprietà è qualcosa di unico e raro... Gli interni sono semplici arredati come in una casa d'altri tempi con tavoli ampi e ben distanziati... Il percorso degustazione (nel nostra nostro caso di 4 portate) ci ha portato a scoprire dei sapori e degli odori ormai assopiti dalla quotidianità... Bellissima la sorpresa per il compleanno della mia compagna... Un carillon che intonava la classica canzone accompagnato da un semplice ma pur sempre gustoso semifreddo... Tutto buonissimo è il secondo anno che ci siamo tornati. Me lo ricordavo top ma i piatti sono cambiati e sono ancora più buoni e speciali ora. Uno dei ristoranti più belli e buoni di Ostuni x me lo consiglio assolutamente se si vuole passare una serata particolare mangiando prelibatezze uniche.

Se siete nei pressi di Brindisi o Taranto, vi consiglio questo ristorante con stella Michelin 2021. Cena degustazione con abbinamento calici. Piacevolmente sorpresi dai gusti assaporati in perfetta sintonia con i vini abbinati.

Esperienza super positiva. Si percepisce la passione per ciò che fanno. L’ ospitalità è stata padrona della serata insieme all’ottima cucina. Abbiamo preso la degustazione di 6 portate abbinata ad un vino rosato prodotto dalla cantina dei proprietari. Continuate così! ps: location interna ed esterna mozzafiato. A noi è toccata quella esterna con affaccio diretto sulla piazza di Carovigno (davvero suggestiva ed unica. Ma devo dire che è davvero molto raffinata anche l’interna.

Experience per tutti i miei sensi! Effetto sorpresa con la degustazione delle portate, quindi senza sapere se fossero a base terra o mare ma ci abbiamo preso con il vino. Mi è piaciuto tutto moltissimo!

Made a last minute reservation here during the off season, and I am so glad we did! This restaurant is such a gem- attentive service, delicious and creative food, and peaceful atmosphere (we sat in the balcony table overlooking the square and loved it, very romantic). We did the 6 course tasting menu and it was fantastic and also quite a bit of food- recommend going easy on the bread! Recommend the detour off the beaten path.

We were asked at the start of our evening of there was anything particular that we did not eat which was wonderful as there is always a chance with a tasting menu that there might be things there that might not be to our taste. Absolutely dreamy experience. We went there for lunch on a Friday during COVID times and we were the only ones there. Carovigno is a cute little Italian town and the ristorante is in a wonderful classic building. Our table was on the balcony so needless to say the view was wonderful. We took the 4 course menu with corresponding wine paring and it was perfect, given that it was pretty hot that day. Most if not all ingredients, wine and olive oil are local. We especially loved the burrata as anti pasti. Service is great and price is okay for such a fine cuisine restaurant. Totally recommended, it lives up to its reputation.

On a Sunday evening the restaurant was understandably quiet and lacking atmosphere. Nonetheless we received a warm welcome. We ate from the à la carte and adjustments were cheerfully made to accommodate our vegetarian preference. Situated in the middle of depressingly average bistros catering for tourists with faux local cuisine this was a genuine pleasure and relief. All four of us chose differently and had nothing but praise for what we were served. We hope to be able to visit again.

Ci sono rimasto male. La cena non è stata minimamente all’altezza e mia moglie, incinta è stata trattata “non alla pari”. Se un piatto ha della tartare non puoi semplicemente non mettergliela, sopratutto in 180 e passa euro di menú. I vini suggeriti non erano adatti al pasto e gli abbinamenti apparivano casuali. D’altronde erano vini di poco valore, sono un sommelier e lo dico con certezza. Nessun azzardo, nessuna magia. Sinceramente, e lo dico dispiaciuto, non c’è motivo di tornarci.

The restaurant is very pleasant and welcoming. The decor is well curated and gives a very good vibe . We ordered the surprise tasting menu (6 courses) - the dishes were not unpleasant but lacked that something special, the texture throughout the meal was too uniform as everything was soft (some different textures would have been nice!). We really struggle to see through the menu itself what the chef is inspired by, what does she like and what is the thinking behind the dishes. The other thing that annoyed us was that because we arrived half an hour before all the other tables, the staff were delaying our order to regulate the service to be able to serve everyone having the tasting menu at the same time, so the gaps between our courses were too long and the meal took 2,5 hours - while we appreciate this makes things easier on kitchen staff, it's not what we would have expected at a Michelin-level restaurant with only three tables dining on a quiet weekday. We also would have expected to have all the ingredients of the dishes explained to us when each dish was presented, given that it was a surprise menu. We couldn't quite see how this restaurant managed to get a Michelin star - the standard in Italy is pretty good and this particular dining experience was nothing exceptional. €85 for a 6-course tasting menu is also way too overpriced for the region - we went to another Michelin-starred restaurant in Puglia the next evening and had a much more memorable tasting menu for almost half the price. Not even in London 1 star restaurants 6 courses tasting menus are this pricey. Suggestions: lower the prices, find what it is special and what is the unique value proposition of the chef and play with textures more. There is potential, but at the moment everything is too pretentious and lacks inspiration.

Our experience at Già Sotto l'Arco was nothing short of disappointing. We ordered beef filet for three people. Two of us received the correct dish, while the third was served veal instead of beef. When we pointed this out, the staff casually brushed it off, claiming it was “the same thing,” which was both dismissive and unprofessional. Later, we ordered soufflé, which arrived completely melted and barely cooked. When we brought this to their attention, instead of addressing the issue properly, they handed us €40 in cash as a “refund.” This gesture was not requested nor appreciated—it felt condescending, as though they assumed we were desperate for the money. We left the cash behind for them to keep as their own “tip,” as the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy spoke volumes. The restaurant attempts to present itself as chic and high-quality, but the service was far from it. The staff were uneducated in proper hospitality, rude, and downright impolite. It’s a shame that such behavior is tolerated in a place that claims to offer fine dining. I wouldn’t recommend Già Sotto l'Arco to anyone. The experience was one of the worst I’ve ever had due to their impolite and disrespectful staff. Avoid this place at all costs.

Offering a "surprise" tasting menu and then just serving dishes from the a la carte menu is unforgivable. Not sure what's happened with this restaurant. Is theresa even still here? Same old dishes from 2 years ago, lacklustre service, and frankly average 4 course menu left us wondering what 80 euros a head was spent on. First course of the tasting menu also on the antipasti menu of parmentier. Broth nice, egg awful, and made a lumpy porridge style soup when mixed together. 2nd course risotto.. more soft food in a bowl. Risotto cooked well but no contrast whatsoever with the first course. Again this was also on the primi menu. 3rd course steak.. on the secondi course but downgraded from veal for whatever reason. Very salty, not much flavour beyond beef. 4th was a cream based dessert which was quite nice. went to pay mentioned not particularly impressed with one of the beef courses and then fact the surprise menu was a rehash of the a la carte. 9 euro discount offered which was insulting. It was never about the money more the completely lacklustre effort from the kitchen. AVOID AVOID AVOID. such a shame as theresa has a great back story and we were looking forward to coming here. Something is seriously wrong with the kitchen at the moment. No passion, no thought, no regional influence.

I wanted to like this place because the setting and interior were lovely. However, it was very disappointing and I'd recommend you avoid this place. We were a group of 4 and went for the 4 course tasting menu. It was a 'surprise' menu, and I think had we seen details of the 4 courses we ended up having, we absolutely would not have bothered ordering it (we would have gone for a la carte dishes instead - some of which sounded very nice indeed.) The menu was a surprise for sure - a bad one. It was pretty much the 4 worst dishes from the a la carte menu - not a showcase of any talent. It started off OK with a pumpkin soup, although I didn't feel like I was eating Michelin star standard food at any point - there did not seem to be any skill used for any of the dishes. The first 2 courses were slimey and basic. (An eggy mess and a risotto.) There wasn't really any variety of flavour or texture, they were just 2 bowls of creamy, salty gloup that were bordering on being inedible. The next course, a beef dish was far too salty without any other notable flavours, and 1 portion was full of gristle and sinew (we complained but it was not really acknowledged. The service was average at best.) Dessert was the best course. Also the wine was good, with a decent enough selection. However, I would not recommend this place.
