This location is so short staff, you can see exhaustion from management trying do everything to deliver 5 star. There was for sure long wait but i can only image people called out or not wanting to work. Best of luck wendys in monticello

The drive thru line gets a little long around lunch time but I don't think I've ever had an error with my order. They're always very friendly, and the food is always what I expect. As far as Wendy's goes this one is great.
Stopped for food on the road and was concerned by the 2.9 rating. Food was ready promptly, bathroom was clean and the man serving our food was very nice! Would stop again.

The new manager is working hard! Improvements are fabulous. 3 cars ahead of me and less than 2 minutes waiting. Chile was steaming hot, fries were fresh and burgers were made to perfection. What a huge difference. Standing ovation!!! Keep it going !!! Wendy's is now back full bore ahead
We stopped here on a road trip from Ottawa back to NYC. We got warm and speedy service from Keith and his team. The food was great Wendy’s quality. We were really grateful for this stop to fuel up on the road! Clean bathrooms, good food, kind people!

First time the fries were not overly salted, food was hot, service was surprisingly quick. A bit crowded, maybe because after McDonald's recent food scare, we noticed their parking lot was empty. Whatever the reason, everyone was in seemingly good spirits. Nice when everyone greets each other with a smile, nod, how ya doing. The only negative thing is they stopped the Senior discount. It was a Good day!
If you don't speak Spanish, bring an interpreter or you'll have to wait for the employees to fetch a manager. Also, if you order online just go to the counter; they don't know what the blue online order shelves are for (or maybe people lift food that doesn't belong to them so much that the employees are guarding the food for you.) Three and a half stars rounded up because the experience was only mildly inconvenient and not really annoying.
It's wendys, food is always good I have no problems with that. In terms of service, in this particular wendys it varies, hence why I left it blank sometimes you wait in line too long and such. Atmospheric terms I've never personally been inside so. But its a fast food joint, you're mainly there for the food.
Dave's double burger was very good. I would have rated as a five except that we were desperate for coffee, which is why we stopped in the first place, and the coffee was literally lukewarm. I feel that a place like this should be testing the temperature. I saw that they kept their coffee in thermos type carafes. Those are famous for cooling off. Also, we asked for one sugar in one of the coffees and I watched her put in three spoons of sugar. My husband threw his away. Awful.

A normal Wendy's franchise fast food restaurant. Nothing to stand out but the service was quick and the staff was courteous and friendly. The food was as expected. No issues with the visit. Pretty easy to get to and comfortable and spacious dinning area.
it's fast food, typical and exactly what you expect.I love the nuggets they are the best out of the fast food chain. The fries were fresh... I like the soda machines, almost endless combo's 😁 There's a change cream soda that tastes just like a CREAMSICLE, I really like it. Dinning room was clean and typical. Best part of my experience : the gentleman that took our order her was super nice and friendly & he had a great disposition and it was nice for a change not to be greeted by a disgruntled fast food employee.
Food is good But EVERY TIME I COME HERE, ITS SOOOOO SLOW OR IM ASKED TO PULL TO THE SIDE TO WAIT FOR MY FOOD. That's ridiculous considering it's supposed to be fast food. I waited 10 mins to get to the intercom, where there was a sign that said they only took cash at that time so people jumped out of the line and then when I got to the window, I had to wait 5 mins for my food to be brought outside. That's quite frustrating and messing up Wendy's reputation.
They have improved, their service was awful for a long time. The only problem we had wa ms the cashier had a prob speaking & understanding English. I don't get it, how can they hire someone like that?
The food was good, service was a little slow but it was 30min before closing time so don't blame them, but still think if they know they open late they should be a little more friendly. Other than that it wss nice to have soemthing open until 12am close to the hotels near by.
I loved the oldies music. Few staff. Got buffalo nuggets. Were bomb, but super spicy.

It took too long to get your order, and this is supposed to be a place to get fast food. I was at the drive-through, and it took about 25 minutes to be waited on then to get the food another 15 minutes to get served. Then the food was cold. I was very disappointed in the service there. I am from nj, and I have never experienced this kind of treatment before.
The chicken sandwich 🥪 was tough and overcooked. I could barely eat it. The service at drive thru is subpar. The cashier had a little attitude and difficulty getting the order correct.
We went through the drive through it took forever, the mic wasn't working they couldn't hear us and we could barely hear them. The food was cold, we don't usually go to Wendy's but the kids were hungry and we had a long day, and very little time. The manager had an attitude and didn't act like he wanted to be there, but the guy that was at the window was very apologetic, about the mic and speaker.
Order was right but unappealing. It took nearly 10 minutes to get. I used mobile app about 20 min before arriving at the restaurant. Nuggets where overcooked and burger patties were too. Roll was fresh though. If your on 17 east contine to the next one.
It took 20 minutes at the drive through and it's been that way each time I have gone there in the last 6 months (probably 4 or 5 times total). There were only 2 cars in front of me! The food is good, but I don't understand how a crew of 6 people can screw up so badly.
This is not one of the better Wendy's I've been to and I love Wendy's. Slow service (inside) and sometimes you get luke warm or even cold food. And fast food isn't cheap any more so I better be getting hot fries, lol. When going through the drive-thru you better make sure your food isn't cold before you drive off. Good luck with this Wendy's.
I'm currently waiting on my order of two Jr cheeseburgers. I've sat here now for 20 minutes. They are not busy, so I don't understand what the issue is. If you want "fast food," I'd stick.with McDonald's or burger King just down the street. **UPDATE** After waiting for 30 minutes, I finally received my order, and they gave me a large fry for my wait. It was definitely a nice gesture, but please do better in the future.
Now I can go a lifetime without setting foot in the Monticello Wendy's again. Slow and understaffed? Waited 15 minutes for cold fries and a double. Done.
Ordered a double cheeseburger combo and the chicken sandwich combo. $27.09, Burgers were ok, but not the best. The fries were horrible, hard and extremely oily. Service was fast but tables and floor were very dirty. One employee was cleaning the glass doors by the entrance but they should focus on the dining room, because many tables had left over food and there were soda spills on the floor by the soda machine, which by the way didn’t have Coke nor Dr Pepper. Not going back there ever again.
This location is the absolute worst Wendy’s I’ve ever been to. Their service is terrible. I had to repeat my order 4 times to the person on drive-thru since they couldn’t listen and kept putting the wrong order in, waited about 20 minutes in the line, and then the worker at the window gave me the wrong change for a $20.00. I get my food just to find out it’s the wrong order. This location is absolutely terrible and I have yet to ever hear a good word about it.
Dirtiest Wendy’s I’ve ever been in. From bathrooms to floors to tables-dirty. And it’s not busy. There’s one other couple eating, no one in line at 8 pm. Gross. And the chicken tenders are barely warm. Sure they’re not even at safe holding temps.
Rude rude rude nothing more can be said but rude. December 31st 2020 at 11:35 in the morning I went there already to have myself chili and a frosty . Everytime I'm in Monticello I stopped at this place because it is excellent. A friend of mine and myself went in, he waited at the table I was at the counter they looked at me they knew I was there but not one person agknowledge me to say we'll be with you in a minute. The door was opened to the back and my friend had a bird's-eye view and saw anybody just enjoying themselves talking on their phone and didn't care one bit about anybody at the counter. Times are hard and people need jobs but these people made it a joke that this company is going to go out of business because of their laziness and no management. So next time I'm in Monticello New York Wendy's is not going to be the place that I'm going to be going to and probably by that time to go and be closed down because of just poor poor service.
This is the worst customer service...they always get the order wrong...always have to wait a long time and one time at the drive I said, 'hello' to the chick at the drive thru 5 times...1x when I pulled up and ordered and 4 more x while at the window...she opened that window 4x to hand me my stuff and I said, 'hi and THANK YOU' each time and she never once lifted her eyes to look at me in my face!!! Absolutely hate going here but sadly my whole family loves the food and if there were another one closer than Middletown, I'd never visit this place again!!!
I don't think you can call this a fast food restaurant with the time it takes them.
Minimum service. We waited a lot, even if there were no other customers. They forgot one item, they put everything in the bag without difference, the fries were cold, they were surprised when I asked for a fork for my salad... They had no mask, no gloves, and there was no sanitizer in the place.
If I could give it zero stars I would. For the four years I've lived in this town, the service has been bad. Very very long waits, order often wrong. I've been waiting over an hour with nobody in drive-thru and nobody inside. We ordered three burgers, no combos, and the drive thru person sighed and said "lord that's a big order!"
sad, because for me wendy's is the best hamburger and fast food place there is! but as this service that I had on Sunday I had to do this.! I didn't find anything to rescue since everything was bad, both the service, the speed and the staff, that's why this place is never full, like in other places. I’d advise to go to any other Wendy’s location, workers sound exhausted and annoyed at their jobs, was told to go up front to get my food when the other cars/customers got their food handed to them from the window…. Then a guy who was washing the sidewalk handed my food because this girl was too lazy to hand it to us…. Poor handling of food… this Wendy’s need to shut down so then maybe the workers will be happy to not attend this menial job anymore
Worst wendy's I have ever been to. You guys need to step up your game. Especially needing new management and especially training the staff in a professional manner. In retail especially in fast food service, you're supposed to be fast not taking your time and laughing and messing around while you have customers standing in line. Refusing to help. I don't understand how you're still in business especially with how you guys are. Management does not care whatsoever.
this is the worst place to eat-I ordered a basic meal a hamburger, small fry and a small coke-the hamburger was so burnt it left a horrible taste in my mouth for hours-and the fries were gross they too left a horrible taste in my mouth-the only thing good was the coke-how could they serve people this food. I telling you it was really really bad. All Wendy's offered me was to download there app to get discounts-how is that justice, anyone can do that. I don't think I will eat at another Wendy's just because of what happened to me.
I was ordering through the drive- thru and the worker misunderstood my order. I ordered two of the same thing and she gave me one. As I gave my card to pay I kindly said to the worker: hey, you've got two for me right? Because I ordered two. She quickly apologized and before she could even tell her manager, the manager gave plenty of attitude and said: she can't add to her order, she needs to make the line like everyone else. She then quickly walked away and didn't even hear her worker or myself out. Her(the managers) attitude is disgusting and I don't see how she is managing others with that attitude especially during this pandemic.
If I could give this location 0 stars I would. Not only do they ALWAYS have terrible attitudes they can never get the order right. There are about 15 fries in my large order. You can find my picture I posted of it somewhere in the photos. I have NEVER had a good experience at this location and will not be going back again. I am a patient person and don’t mind waiting the half hours they make you wait on the drive through but it’s the horribly nasty attitudes these girls have that really push it over the edge.
Went to the drive thru around 6:30 pm 8/30. The nice lady at the drive thru said drive thru was cash only, their card machine wasn’t working. I asked if it was working inside and she said yes. So I parked and went inside where there was a family of three waiting to order and behind them, 2 ladies and off to the side other customers to ask something that had been dining in. I waited about 15 min and in that time a girl took the family of 3’s order and she must’ve gone to the kitchen to also make the food because I didn’t see her again and I left. Way too slow and there was only one of the two registers open.
Probably the worst fast food experience I’ve ever had. They served all of our burgers at room temperature. They had 100% been sitting for a long time fully assembled. The cheese wasn’t even melted. I complained and their response was to microwave the whole thing. It was also really slow and kind of dirty. Just avoid.
I waited in the drive thru line for roughly 40 minutes before I was able to get up to the speaker. Mind you the line wasn't long. When I finally got to the speaker the person on the microphone asked if I could hold on a second (of course I didn't mind because me and the family had to figure out what we wanted). Eager to finally get some food after a long day of moving waited for the drive thru voice to come back asking us if we were ready. Five minutes passed and we were all very irritable at this point. Ten minutes pass and I'm ready to give up. I talk through the speaker hoping they can hear me asking, "Are you guys ready?" No response came. Fifteen minutes after getting up to the speaker after a 40 minute wait left me way too hungry and way too irritable to stay in line any longer. The family agreed we couldn't wait any longer and left. Just completely unacceptable.
Went through drive thru at 11pm. All Workers were extremely ignorant. From the one who took the order to the ones who provided us with the food. Highly recommend avoiding this place because the staff not only dont care, they will treat you like garbage for no reason.
Slow service. Line was super backed up with food coming out incorrectly. I got double charged because they didn't think it went through the first time. Burger was room temp, cheese wasn't melted, and fries were undercooked. The floors and tables were in desperate need of cleaning
DO NOT COME HERE- THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. I walked in to pick up my online order and there was NO ONE at the register and there was a man waiting to order. I can hear the employees in the back discussing a fight. After a few minutes of idle standing and waiting for an employee to come out, someone finally gave me my mobile order. I made an online order for 2-10 piece nuggets 2- 2 baconators And cheese fries. Instead of the $6.99 baconators, I recieved 2 Jr bacon cheeseburgers. Waste of money and time!!!!
Probably the worst location I've been to in 38 years of life. Staff is rude,orders are consistently wrong and they take the order and make you pull up and park and wait for the food for about 15mins everytime you go. To make matters worse they make you wait for 15mins but somehow THE FOOD COMES COLD. Do they make you wait intentionally so it can get cold? I'll let you guess. But I won't be going there ever again. I apologize to any staff this may get in trouble, I dont want anyone to lose their jobs but it's been bad there for years and it's time to stop ripping people off.
Avoid this Wendy's at all costs. I will be driving to the Wendy's in Middletown before going to this place again. Almost every single visit I have had to this place they have gotten my order almost completely wrong and that is after waiting 20+ minutes in the drive-thru. In all the times I have been here my order has only been correct once and even then they completely burnt the nuggets.
Was barely any customers inside or in the drive thru, one car pulled up waiting for food. We waited at the order speaker for 5 mins before she got back to us after saying hold on. We were asked to pull up and wait as well behind another car and the manager hung over the railing and tried to hand us the food knowing she couldn’t reach us. Food was cold, burgers thrown sloppily together, soda was flat, and no straws in the bag. Order taker mumbled and spoke under her breath while taking order and after we reached the window. Very disappointed
They get NO STARS from me !!!! They’re rude and the restaurant is always just so dirty ! The soda machines are disgusting and so are the staff especially Jerome ! Waited at the drive thru didn’t get a hold on one moment or anything I literally sat looking at the screen for about 5-6 minutes and this is no exaggeration! Then he didn’t even ask me what I wanted to drink and when I asked if he got my drink he replied “I thought you said coke” with an attitude like if I was the one who did something wrong ! Then he didn’t even say come around or even APOLOGIZE for HIS mistake ! They’re just rude and there is no work ethic there at all! NEVER EVER and it’s so sad! We now go to Middletown every time we want Wendy’s! This restaurant needs to be shut down and they need to swipe the employees and start all over.
I actually truly enjoy Wendy’s, but this is one of the worst! They forget most of your order. And do not order DoorDash/Uber eats you won’t get anything you ordered. Terrible experience multiple times what are the workers for??
This is a very poorly run Wendy’s. The parking lot is a mess. When the interior dining area was open it was dirty. If you don’t make specific special they try to charge full price. Apparently this franchise does not honor nationally advertised specials like the recent breakfast sandwich special. Employees work the drive thru with limited ability to understand or speak English. I will stop going to this location as I don’t trust that the food will be properly prepared.
drive through window said 2 people were working that it would be at least 10 to 15 min before they could take the order. when i got to the window i saw no less than 4 employees and only one young lady was working of the bunch. The single woman that was working well i tip the hat to her for picking up the slack. Nevertheless the 4 nuggets i ordered were cold and the soda had no ice.
6/25/18 ~ 4:30 pm - Went through the drive thru which took 10 minutes to get to the window; only 2 cars in front of us. Placed our order got our drinks was told to move forward and wait. After about 25 minutes went in to find out about our food. It was total chaos inside only to find out they did not do our order. Had to wait 10 minutes to get our money back and left without anything. Worst experience ever at a fast food restaurant.
Slowest Wendy’s in possibly the world. Idk what the heck takes so long… maybe the girl with the hat over her eyes can’t see orders coming in? Maybe they all need glasses to see customers sitting at the counter or the drive thru? Idk what it is, but I do know they are not capable of working on multiple order at once. Like at all. They recently had a change in management, you’d never know, it might even be worse now. They just need to get rid of this trash store
Even though it is a fast food place, it looked pretty dinky. The service was incredibly slow due to the workers being understaffed and overworked. We waited half an hour on line for food despite there being no cars at the drive through. Lastly, there was a cockroach at the napkin dispenser.
ordered a number 1 with just cheese no veggies, there were veggies on the burger and even more then usual. or a large fires and drink with that. got a medium fry that wasn't even full. just a disappointment. I have been to other Wendy's with out any problems just seems to be this location
PLEASE DO YOURSELF THE FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS WENDYS! If i could give 0 stars, I would! The food was disgusting and aside from that it took 15 minutes to then tell us they were ‘waiting’ for bacon so to give them another 10 minutes! The service sucked! We doubled check that the nuggets will be spicy and she assured that she PUT spicy and when we got them they were REGULAR! You have ONE job, the least you can do is DO IT RIGHT! Everyone looks miserable and unhygienic!
It's the worst Wendy's I've ever been too. Everytime I make the mistake of going there I regret it. No other customers inside or in the drive thru. I still waited 30mins and in the end I was missing items I paid for. But after all that wait I really didn't have time to sit and wait another 30 mins for them to fix their mistakes. I do not recommend especially if you are in a rush Monticello Wendy's shouldn't be considered fast food, they are a joke.
The worst fast food place I've ever been to. Waited 15 minutes with only 3 cars in front of me to then have them tell me it would take too long to make my order. I said I wouldn't mind waiting but they gave me an attitude and told me it would take too long, which wasn't even a big order. Only two people were working in the store. Cashier was very rude and I've had better interactions at the DMV. Ended up getting McDonald's down the road which was way faster and much friendlier.
I am posting on the past two visits I had to this establishment. I am very displeased with the night crew that works here. Today, I came here to order some sandwiches. I did not mind the wait time at first, but it seemed to become an issue towards the end (we'll get to that later). At the drive thru teller I was still ordering items only to feel rushed during the process (person kept asking "Anything else" over and over). About 10 to 15 minutes pass and I finally get to the window. It was then that I was not even told what the price was of the meal. In fact, the cashier did not speak at all until I asked about a drink I presumed was wrong (only asked for clarification). It was until then that the cashier started talking at an annoyed tone and had an attitude. I was handed my bags a few minutes later. Before driving off I checked the bag to make sure all of the food was in there. That seemed to be a waste because when I got home, the sandwiches I ordered were not what I ordered. It seemed like last week also that I got another disgruntled cashier. They had an issue with me checking my bag before I left. Only one car was behind me and it seemed to be an issue also. I do not plan on coming back to this establishment. It's almost as if uninspired , lazy people work here. Don't waste any of your money coming here, because it's neither speedy nor satisfactory. The worst part of it all is the attitude. No wonder why it looks like a ghost town half the time you pass by there. Unbelievable.
We were in town for an event and my friends and I pulled up to the drive thru of this Wendy’s at about 10:45pm and for our surprise we were greeted with, “Hey my man, we don’t have anymore food”. First Wendy’s that I’ve ever been to that has “ran out of food” while 2 other vehicles are at the window being handed their food bags…. At least come up with a better excuse next time 😂 thanks for the laugh though and hoping they got food delivered for the next day!
I’m only giving this one star because it’s the lowest option they have. If I had the choice I would give them -5 stars. We were waiting at the drive-through for 10 minutes… start ordering after they said “welcome to Wendy’s” and the second we started ordering they said “ hold on a minute” with a vile attitude. Then we waited another 20 minutes and no one took our order. This Wendy’s location is absolutely despicable and everyone working in It sucks. As we are ordering three workers were by the dumpsters, smoking a blunt. Real class acts 😂
This place is terrible even by Wendy standards. They actually made fun of this place on a podcast for how terrible it is.
The manager touched the food w his bare hands, he left the bathroom without washing his hands, chat he had no hairnet or gloves, buddy was chewing gum and his saliva was all over my food. He really violated my meant patty and it was a horrible experience.
Probably don't go here. 5pm stopped off the thruway to get a quick meal. The inside was closed, drive through had 2 cars ahead of us... A ton of employees inside, but it was the most disastrous, disorganized chaos I've seen in awhile haha. Anyways, took 35 minutes to get a basic order. Extra fun fact: the employees kept running outside and locking themselves out because the doors were locked. They couldn't find out how to keep the door opened, so they took the door apart so they could get out. They asked me to help them lol This place was wild. Food was cold when I got it.
7 car line at drive-thru not moving so change mobile order to counter pickup. All doors to restaurant locked the app said counter pickup open. Unable to cancel counter pickup order as app showed it complete.. no food and reward points and cash down the drain.. when I finally drove away, the same seven cars were in line at the drive-thru, the first car at the orderings post.
Every time I go to this place they always make you wait thirty minutes no matter online or drive through and there's always only two people working plus a manager and they're always doing one thing at a time. I was waiting forty five minutes for frosties Then when inside and wait another thirty minutes for the Frosty's inside
I posted this using another account but this place deserves a double review. The food was great. My Spicy Chicken was great as were the fries just as expected from Wendy's. The problem was the men's room. It was terrible. If I had gone in there first I would have left. I hope the employees had a clean place to wash up.
NO STARS!!!! Would only let me post if have one star. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Sat inside waiting for order for 45 MINUTES. Had new cashier up front who was trying her best and the manager didn't do ANYTHING to help until 30min later. Only told her to keep taking orders even though previous orders weren't being completed. Meanwhile, everyone in drive-thru was getting their orders just fine. Nice to see they only care about their drive-thru times. UNACCEPTABLE. NEVER GO TO THIS WENDY'S. I SURE AS HELL WON'T BE!
I went to get a cinnabon. I got it and it was cold and rock hard. I also sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes.
This was not only the worst Wendy's I've ever been to it was the worst fast food restaurant period. I waited on the drive through line for 25 minutes with only 2 cars in front of me. When I finally got my food I paid $15 for 2 10 piece nuggets and 2 Jr fries which is crazy. And then the fries were soggy and had no salt on them. Awful.
Omg thr longest lines ever slowest service 😫 waited 29 minutes un drive-thru for 4 of the 4 for 4 deals, and 2 baked potatoes and 2 kid frosty. My frosty was milk potatoes were bad and my fries and burgers all roo. Temperature when we got home (8 minute drive) called and was told oh to bad our staff is slow we can remake food but no potatoes or ice cream oh and the kicker they charged me for the car beglhind me first when I caught the error she got mad and recharged me the right amount credit never went through had to call American express to fix the charge NEVER AGAIN!
I never thought I would have to write a compliant about a fast food joint being its fast food, and you can't expect much. But, this location is exceptionally bad. My boy's burger wasn't even cooked through, a large fry was barely filled to the middle and, we found dirt in our cup. To make matters worse the girl at the drive thru with hardly any teeth is completely incompetent. It's very obvious she hates her job so, instead of quitting she takes it out on customers by swiping their card instead, of putting the chip into the machine. She then has the nerve to tell people their card is declined when simply my bfs Chase card won't allow swipes. Luckily my Discover card allows swipes and, we were able to get our food.
Slowest Wendy's ever. First walked in and register was open with cash just sitting there. Employees yelling at each other. Ghetto as hell. Hats crooked. Pants sagging. 🤦♂️ rap music blaring. Don't mind the music, but turn it down.
There's a Wendy's in Liberty. They've been closed for about 10 years now but you're still more likely to get your food faster from that one than the one in Monticello. My child arrived just the other day He came to the world in the usual way But there were fries to eat and ghost pepper ranch chicken sandwich combo bills to pay He learned to walk while I was away And as he talking 'fore I knew it And as he grew he'd say I'm going to be like you Dad You know I'm going to be like you And the cats in the cradle and the silver spoon Little boy blue and the man in the moon When you coming home dad? I don't know when But we'll get together then You know well have a good time then Also you omitted my frosty from an order after waiting 45 minutes in an empty drivethrough
This is the worst Wendy's ever, I actively avoid this Wendy's. They have never gotten my order correct and it always takes longer than other Wendy's. Also the food doesn't taste as fresh. My wife convinced me to give them another shot tonight and they again got my order wrong leaving out my fries and put onions on my wife's burger despite ordering with out. My wife then went inside where it took ten plus minutes for replacement burgers. The chicken nuggets were mummified, and the fries tasted like the oil hasn't been changed in years. This place should loose it's franchise
The parking lot was full of dead leaves, there was a crow eating garbage. It is really hot in here right now. A dry heat that may give you a bloody nose. There is no playground, where is the playground? Also, it has been a half hour where is my food? People are talking to themselves and babies crying. People are sleeping In the corner. Is this a Wendy's or is this port authority?
Originally went to the drive through and was told to "wait a minute" which I didn't mind but we waited 5 minutes before asking if it would be easier for us to come inside which we got no response to. We then proceeded to go inside to order and it was clear other patrons were very flustered by the lack of attention they were receiving. I ordered my food and was informed they were out of strawberry lemonade. This was also fine but the majority of their soda flavors were also unavailable. One flavor became unavailable halfway through filling a small cup. It seemed there was a very large order every employee was working to fill so I am not sure if this is a typical type of visit at this location. Based on other reviews, it might be. The food was good and as expected so that was a silver lining.
I came to the location this Location September 22, 2024 at 2:09 PM I made a purchase of $33.88 at the self-service machine POS. I waited about a half an hour for my order and never came. I addressed the manager who is extremely unprofessional and rude for no reason he told me my order didn’t come up in the system and I was out of $33.88. he gave me a phone number to call that did not work, I’m extremely unsatisfied with with the way of situation was handled The manager needs to be fired for the way he handled everything.I will definitely be making complaint with corporate. I might even file a lawsuit defamation of character, he implied that I was trying to get a free meal. luckily that was not my last dollar if it was, my family wouldn’t have ate that night. I’m saddened with Wendy’s and the way they train their Their management on how to handle situations like this he also stated that this happened once before that day He lacked the competence to handle this situation.
A total disgrace….. a shell of its former greatness. I opened the store and now it’s pathetic
Avoid this place at all costs! Ridiculous drive thru waiting time food was not eatable.. never again
20-minute wait on a drive-thru line where there was only 1 person in front of me. Not sure how it's possible, but congrats guys. You did it!
Sad, and quite frankly disappointing in wendy’s view. Loved them but made me re think it.
I ordered pick up and the food was ready when I got there, but the worker at the register left it behind the counter and was so busy with people refusing to use the kiosk. The food was only ok.
Horrible! They barely understand English have long attitudes and mess up orders. And when I complained why it takes a 1/2 hour for drive thru? There reply was if I don’t like it leave. Only problem pre paid on the app so took another 15min to get my refund
They NEVER get our order right, it's always wrong. They do not understand what we are saying

I was having a pregnancy craving for a Vanilla Coke and dr.pepper so I decided to go on through the drive-through and pick some up. I slipped on both of these as I got home and clearly it’s dark outside. The time currently is 9:05 PM.I just got home and I look at my cup, and there is a visible fly on the cup. I got so disgusted I ended up throwing up…. I called the location three 4 times and no answer I left a voice mail as well.. Absolutely disgusted
I went to this place on Monday June 9, 2025. I needed to have some time for myself so I drove from Orange County to Sullivan County and I chose to stop by Wendy's on Route 42 South in Monticello. There was no one there in the salon. Their drive thru was empty. Three people were behind the counter chatting (two males and one female). As soon as I arrived, the female attendant acknowledged my presence and offered to help. Being that I am 61 years old and the ride was kind of lengthy, I needed to use the men's room quickly before placing my order. The female attendant understood my situation and was about to hand me the key to the restroom when the manager raised up his voice by saying, 'no, you order first, and then you use the bathroom'. Where the humanism in this place? He looks like he is older than me. he knows what it is to have that urgency to hit the men's room. So, I had to leave their place to drive up to the pharmacy just to urinate. I ended up not buying my meal. Every Sunday, my three grandsons and I go to Wendy's restaurant in Middletown (Dolson Avenue) NY to eat. This is a quality time set aside for me to enjoy my grandkids. Based on that experience with the management team in Monticello NY, starting this Sunday June 15, 2025, I will never again step foot in this place. What happened to human compassion! Where is the humanism in you Mr. Manager?
Went in the drive thru. Had to wait 20 minutes to get my order taken for 2 sandwiches. Waited at the window for another 5 minutes. Never gave us our card back and when we drove all the way back here they asked for id. They just said everyone makes a mistake and told us to leave.
They only have self-serve kiosks at the desk, and I tried to order a breakfast sandwich combo (because it offered it as an option) but then after I already checked out with my card, the person behind the counter said they aren't serving breakfasts that time of day (11 AM). So I had to wait to get a refund. The bathrooms are also locked (for customers only) I guess you have to ask for the key which is just a pain, why??? I don't blame the employees but do blame management. What a poor set of business practices. If fast food places want to retain customers in this day of increasing prices and tight budgets, they must do better than this.
Stopped by for a quick bite. Actually sat here waiting for our corrected order. It's was 48 minutes total. Didn't get food until after 24 minutes. Some of the food was wrong. Service sucks. They have been running drive thru orders out over the inside. Two people ahead of us left, without food and without refunds, despite asking for one or the other. Three people have come in from the drive thru complaining about their orders. Photo of top of the receipt and crusty fry my son said just hurt his tooth for validity. Food gets a 2 because at least it's Wendy's. Ended up with a refund for the missing food since it took too long. The one woman who got the manager and processed the refund was very nice. Place needs a new manager.
New owners?! I believe franchise was sold to a new owner. Service is horrible now, food was hot but waited for order to be taken (about 15 minutes). Then waited another 10 at the window. No manager in sight, Drive Thru cashier seemed to be working alone. Such a shame, was such a good establishment before New owners.
