This is hands down the best southern food I’ve had. The sautéed shrimp and cheesy grits are out of this world. As are the collard greens, cornbread, fried fish and bbq chicken. It’s great service and amazing value for truly delicious food. I can’t wait to come back!
Absolutely love going here , the food is amazing and the service is amazing, always very nice welcoming people and my food is always fresh and delicious. I love bringing my family here and sitting down and eating . If u want great food this is your place to go, trust me they know what they are doing here .

This was my first time the Annie's soul food. It was delicious that cornbread was slamming the fried chicken. Delicious! The yams delicious macaroni and cheese. Delicious collard greens just right. I told the lady if it's good I'll be back and I will. I give it a thumbs up. Give it a try. I'm from New York City and I give it 10
The owner and her daughter were both extremely nice and it was some of the best food I’ve had. Every part of the meal was great on its own. Highly recommend!
The food was so good we completely forgot to stop and take a picture of it! Everything was seasoned to perfection and fresh. Lovely staff! The cornbread was a standout! Different from what we are used to but so delicious. We felt warm southern hospitality on a cold NY evening.
We found this gem of a restaurant completely by accident last night. What a find! We were greeted with a warm and sincere smile and hesitantly placed our "to-go" order. When we finally got the bags open we were very pleasantly surprised. Not only did it smell great all the way home, but it did not disappoint. The BBQ chicken was amazing. Sweet and tangy had me lixking my fingers til the end. Her mac-n-cheese also blew me away. The fried chicken was crispy and delicious every side was mouth watering and on point. Do not miss your chance to worship at the source. Thanx for a delicious meal.
We are from Charlotte and came up for work. It was six of us and we was looking for dinner. We stopped in this place because it said soul food and that is what we got. The food was hot and it was delicious. We where picking off of each other's plates it was so good. They didn't slack on the quantity either, it looked like your grandmas plate the amount of food it had on it...just trust me...the momma in the kitchen put her foot it in for sure...
These people know what they’re doing. When I tell you everything was amazing… I can’t even… IT WAS SO GOOD. We got the 16 piece chicken family meal for 4 of us and a kid. They were not messin around, there was so much food. I’ve never had cornbread like theirs, it tasted almost like it could be a dessert, but not crazy sweet, like cinnamon and maple. We also got collard greens, mashed potatoes, and yellow rice as our sides. Everything was seasoned so well and the chicken was so juicy and crunchy. Imma have dreams about this food. I tried to be modest and take a picture of my plate before I demolished it.
Everything was amazing. No exaggeration, the best soul food I’ve ever had. They deserve all the praise!! I got fried chicken, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and potato salad. The cornbread has cinnamon and is sweet. So delicious!
I ordered from DoorDash. Order was perfect. Food is delicious. I will be ordering again. I ordered baked chicken with mashed potatoes and yams. It comes with cornbread. All delicious . In the picture shown, I’ve already eaten one of the pieces of chicken. I also ordered a peach cobbler and two chicken empanadas. The peach cobbler was fine, but I wouldn’t order it again. Empanadas are for my daughter and she’s not home yet so I can’t speak for those. The baked chicken, mashed potatoes, yams and cornbread, I would order all again.
This place was amazing! Everything we ordered was delicious. My kids loved it! Very casual spot with great charm. There was a lot of love in the food. Shrinp and Bbq chicken were delicious. Yams were Amazing
My first time having soul food and it was amazing! We came in for lunch on a weekday and were seated immediately. The owner was very nice and welcoming. The food was served fresh and hot. We had the fried chicken with Mac & cheese and mashed potatoes with a side of cornbread. The food was absolutely tasty! Each bite made me want more and the portion serving was plenty enough. I can't wait to come back! You won't be disappointed 😁
We stop there for lunch after recharging our Tesla. It’s the only place with a menu that interested us with a great review rating. We ordered the family fried chicken meal with mac and cheese, candied yam and collard greens. It did not disappoint and worth every star on their review. We had to wait a little bit longer than usual but we didn’t mind as the owner explained to us that she was cooking our chicken fresh from scratch. I’m telling you it’s worth the wait. The chicken came out piping hot and juicy. The Mac and cheese was excellent, the candied yam was delicious, cornbread was moist and tasty and the collard greens were the best I had outside of Texas. My wife does not like collard greens as she only tasted the one from Cracker Barrel but she truly enjoyed the one from here. It changed her mind about collard greens. It’s a small restaurant and didn’t look like much from outside but don’t let that deter you from enjoying the foods from here. Oh, and the restroom was super clean.

This food was so good!! Everything was made fresh for us.. the chicken, fries, shrimp, everything was great. Fresh and hot. It was a nice comfortable setting. I would definitely come back here!
Amazing food and service. Will come back always. I had fish and chips and it super good, fresh and hot outa the oven. The fries have a unique seasoning of pepper and other spices. Just worth it for a hearty meal.
I’ve been on a strict carnivore diet for a few years. Once in a while I will have a cheat day. No better place to break ketosis than Annie’s. Chicken was some of the best I’ve ever had. Staff were super friendly. Our kids loved the food here.
I wish i had remembered to take pictures before eating,but here they are. We are not from the area but saw the Google reviews, and we all were satisfied. The fish was not greasy, and the batter was delicious. The mac n cheese, green beans, and greens were tasty. My daughter enjoyed her Buffalo fried wings. My husband also enjoyed his fried shrimp. I have no complaints and would definitely recommend it.
I was on a road trip with my boyfriend and stopped in for some food. It was delicious!! The fried fish, barbecue chicken, fried chicken, and all the sides were amazing. The food was seasoned well and the service was good. I'll definitely be coming back again!

I decided to try their Peach Cobbler and it was terrible. The peaches was huge, the crust/dough was so hard and it was cold, apparently it was very old. I’m not sure if I would have gotten this old dessert if I was eating in, but you get anything when you order takeout
