This is one of my favorite restaurants in Cedar Park, if not the whole Austin area, because of the quality of service and food. Our waitress this time - a very pretty young lady with pink hair and sparkly makeup - was an absolute gem. She memorized our whole order (without writing anything… for a table of 5… I was impressed!) and the food came out perfect, fresh, piping hot. The salsa and queso can’t be beat. Highly recommend!

Our waitress Miriam was fantastic! She was kind and very helpful when it came to the menu and combination suggestions. She always made sure our drinks were full and we had everything we needed. This was our first time here and the food was great. The mesquite grilled chicken is delicious! The salsa is a bit hot but the guacamole was amazing. It’s a tad pricy but it’s great food and we will definitely be back!

We had not come to Serrano's in quite a long time were surprised by how good it was. Our waiter was excellent in the nachos and salsa were the best I can remember having in a long time. Overall very good and reasonably priced.

We come to this location now to see our favorite server Gabe! He is the best there is. He has watched our family grow with each year we have been regulars at Serrano. He takes ride in his work and we always have a great experience.

Serrano's has the best fajitas around. We always get the chicken fajitas for two and it's plenty of food for two people.

Me and my mom shared a girls day lunch here and it was amazing . The midweek lunch menus was so affordable and we were able to feel fancy without breaking the bank .

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to many over the years. The way the chips are fried makes them light and crispy. The salsa was fresh and spicy. Everyone in my party loved what they ordered. If there is a weak spot on the menu, we didn’t find it. I will be making Serranos a regular tradition for my trips to Austin.

The food was delicious. The taco salad huge compared to Houston. Also i got the el grande meal omg it was so good and i have never seen a taco that big. Wait staff were so kind and friendly. And it was either the manager or owner even was going around checking on people and it was just a great experience. Especially being my first time in this area

I’ve rarely go out of my way to leave reviews, but our experience last night was so excellent I had to! My boyfriend and I came in for date night and had Avery as our server. She was super bubbly and welcoming and gave us the awesome recommendation of ordering the Parilla Mixta fajitas. The sausage is TO DIE FOR!!! We will absolutely be returning soon!

Me and my friend stumbled upon this amazing Mexican restaurant. We told them it was our 1st time and they offered us a free appetizer or dessert. The food was fresh and delicious! The atmosphere was great and the manager even came out to greet us. We will be back for sure and bring some more friends !

We planned a same day for a party of 25ish and were accommodated! We had two servers (wish I had their names) absolutely amazing service. You guys made a sad day bearable with the perfect evening experience. We greatly appreciate it! Food was fresh and it was ready so fast!

This is my new favorite Mexican food restaurant! The cleanliness and atmosphere was amazing Avery was my server and she did a phenomenal job the minute she walked up to me to my table I knew that I was going to have an awesome time. I have some struggles sometimes reading because of my eyesight and Avery went through the menu with me made recommendations and also let me know what this portion size would be. I had the half chicken fajita quesadilla and sopapillas and they were amazing. Big shout out to Avery cuz she definitely made my night.

Great lunch menu. I would recommend their fajitas and chips & queso. our waiter was very very communicative when the food took slightly longer. For dessert, the sopapillas are excellent. 8 large sopapillas for $5 with agave honey. Overall great price for a great experience

My family and I came here. I had read the reviews which some of them had said that this place had very bad service. Which I don’t think so I think that they did do very good. I would have to say that the food was really good, but if you do not like spicy things then make sure to ask if it is or ask for sour cream which help me. But other wise I would rate them a 9/10 because on there menu they should put what is spicy.

We had a family of 15 people and we were celebrating five birthdays! The food was so delicious and our server was so sweet and very professional! Several of us had the fajitas and I personally had the beef fajitas with the homemade tortillas and they were so delicious, especially the corn tortillas I am a big lover of homemade corn tortillas and these did not disappoint! This place is an Austin original. There are 5 or so Serranos around the Austin area. All of them are equally great. We frequent the Cedar Park location and the one by Lakeline Mall. Some of the Best food around with Awesome Mexican plates. Tonight was Cedar Park. I always get the Migas and Beef Fajitas, but tonight we ordered a couple 'seafood' plates to try and give everyone a look a some of their new dishes. They were all fantastic, I believe the favorite large fried shrimp, the mango salad was amazing with tons of fresh flavor and a perfect pairing for the shrimp. The wood smoked flavor of the fish tacos was Awesome. I'm a big guy, but 3 of these tacos with the large fish portions will fill you up.

I love Serranos! Their lunch mix and match special is perfect, great price, customizable, and always delicious. The chicken soup is top notch and their salsa is one of my favorites in town.

Swung by on a business trip and was well worth it. Great music, tasty salsa with chips as well. Got the enchiladas mixto with a beef taco and they were delicious. Would definitely be swinging by again next trip.

***EDITED/UPDATED 1 month later: I got a reply from the manager on my original review, and even though I had given them 5 stars they still reached out to me about the chicken I mentioned. I called the store to speak with the manager since they offered, and he said he would give me a complimentary meal. He went above and beyond my expectations by also offering to give me an extra meal with chips/salsa! I was stoked! I ordered the chicken tenders again which came out perfect. We also went back again tonight to dine in, and our waitress Ashley was great. I also saw the manager when I was leaving, and he got me some chips to go. Thanks again for the excellent customer service every time!! Ordered curb side pick up at the last minute last night, & AJ showed me excellent customer service! I couldn’t get the website to work so he did it over the phone, and got my food ordered for me all correct. The guy that brought my food out to me showed excellent customer service as well (I didn’t catch his name, but he said he drives a Chevy truck too😆)! The only thing negative was my daughter’s chicken tenders were too overcooked, however I figured it was probably the last batch/my fault since I ordered so late before the cut off time. All of our other food was delicious, so I will definitely be back for more!😁

Five star experience. We walked out of a neighboring Mexican food restaurant because the music was so loud and they declined to sest us in a quiet section. Not Serrano's they were friendly and welcoming, seated immediately and had a bright, bubbley server named Beth. We look forward to returning and asking for Beth again. Smiles

This is a perfect venue for events as they got plenty of space plenty of booths plenty of seats a large bar with a very large dance area and then even a private meeting room. Restaurants are clean and I keep the place top-notch and clean with phenomenal customer service and servers are top notch Is overpriced lower-quality Mexican food that I don't necessarily care too much for wouldn't necessarily recommend here for food as much for events venues and gatherings. Not a fan of the chips and salsa nor queso. Fajitas would be way to go if I had to do it again. Also plenty of parking and handicap accessible and clean restrooms with plenty of stalls and hourly rotating cleaning. :)

Some of the best salsa in the area! Definitely fresh and chips were fresh and HOT! Loved it. Had the mix of beef, chicken, and chorizo jalapeño sausage fajitas for one. Also had half beef fajita nacho for one (wasn’t needed). Awesome experience, friendly staff and management. Food was plentiful and very tasty! Would say better than the Lakeline restaurant. Both great. Can’t wait to try again

Updated 1/20/23 I visited for lunch and sat at a table in the bar area Plenty of seats and service was FAST. The waitperson was very friendly and attentive. I had the Pollo Perfecto and it was perfection! Came out hot and was exactly what I wanted. We have made this a Friday regular stop. Do not hesitate to visit this branch of Serrano's. Excellent!

Serrano's Cedar Park: you got five stars tonight before I even had the food. First of all your lakeline location which is closer to my house already shut down online ordering at 9:20. So I ordered from your cedar Park location. Used to go to Serrano's all the time, it was my go-to. I haven't been in a while. Happy that I was able to place an order with this location. Then I pick it up and then spill something in my car. Go back in, bartender gives me a rag and napkins and everything I need to help me clean up my car. Awesome. It's Saturday March 7th near close time, thanks to the bartender, and for this location accepting orders later than the others. Sometimes five stars is easy, just baseline performance. But good job nonetheless. And thanks again to the bartender.

Really great place for Mexican. My wife and I came in hungry and we got some great food. My wife got the tacos grande and I got the queso burrito. Both arrived quick and were super delicious. What I liked about this restaurant was the quick service, the happy faces, and the food was delicious. Would definitely go back again.

I like the tacos pastor, they're really good if you get them with refried black beans. For a while this place had some troubles when they turned the hotel next door into a homeless hotel. However has certainly bounced back. The food is good and the service is decent.

We can't say enough about our recent visit here. I had a transaction with the manager, Daniel, on a FB item I was selling. He was too busy to get away, but offered a gift card to the restaurant if I offered to bring the items I had for sale to him. Fair enough. When we got there, he was waiting on me and then we sat down to eat, and since it had been a long time since we'd eaten there, we weren't sure what to expect. Our server was Andrew, a very nice kid and very attentive. The food was good, I had the fajitas and my wife just a small kids taco plate. We took most of the fajitas home, along with a complimentary side of chips/salsa from Andrew, a nice touch! When we got the bill, I gave Andrew the card Daniel had given me and it ended up COVERING the whole meal! Unbelievable! It was not only very generous of Daniel to do that, but I couldn't think of a better way of taking care of your customers than that. Businesses should teach this to their employees, but I can tell that Daniel is one of the old school people who came from a different era, void of the mediocrity and complacency of many of his peers. THANK YOU GENTLEMEN for a great and unexpected experience!!

This place had the spiciest salsa yet the best salsa in town good blend of onions, tomatoes, cilantro, garlic, whatever it is that they put in there really really great planes. It was spicy to the point where my ears were watering. However, I could not stop eating that salsa very very good. Space they serve top shelf tequila with their drink specials from 3 to 630 I believe and Isabell was our server. Please go see her ask for her sit in her section. The quesadillas were extremely cheesy. Nice flavors. The chili con queso was really good. Highly recommend.

Serranos was very accommodating for our work lunch and the food was pretty good. I did enjoy the salsa with a good amount of heat. I got the shrimp tacos (an off the menu item) and was expecting larger shrimp but they were tiny ones. I think I’ll get the jumbo bacon wrapped shrimp next time. Service was great!

I remember this place being so much better but it missed the mark recently. The service was slow (despite the place being very empty) but very kind. The prelim tostadas and salsa are mid. The salsa is tasty but zero spice. The Grandes crispy tacos weren't terrible but I'd never order them again. They place the lettuce, tomato and cheese on top rather than inside where they belong. The charro beans are good but rice is mid. The water is definitely Cedar Park tap, which is gross.

The staff is very courteous, very helpful. We got the chicken and beef fajitas. The beef was very tasty the chicken is dry. Not enough vegetables that was the thing I noticed because I love lots of fried onions. the fried rice has a unique taste to it really like it different. There were mistakes on my order but they corrected them. And it's nice to see a manager walk through and ask people whether they're doing okay and if the dinner was good. I recommend them. They're not as good as my local Mexican restaurant but they're pretty good for being an out of town place to go. and it was lovely to see the Boy Scouts outside selling popcorn being part of the community is always a very admirable business decision.

I've enjoyed a couple of lunches there, and I have no complaints. Good food overall. Great chips. Service was friendly and reliable. I'll probably go back. But the food is just not quite special enough for 5 stars.

My hubby took me to Serrano's for my birthday on Feb. 20th! The food has such wonderful tastes and flavors! We tried several things: fried avocado tacos with drum fish, crispy beef tacos, chili con queso, a beef enchilada, and the BEST Mexican corn I've ever had!! ALL DELISH! I also had the most wonderful Margarita! And Delilah was perfect! Attentive and friendly!

Food was ok, not as great as usual, but very filling for the price. The server was very good, friendly and attentive. It was much busier than usual because we went late for dinner over mother's day weekend. We were seated in the bar area, so it was noisier. The booth was a little uncomfortable. But we were seated and got our food promptly, so it was altogether great.

Walked right in. No waiting . Nice and comfortable atmosphere and attitude. Margarita is delicious. Got the cheese enchiladas meal with refried beans and rice. Also delicious. When I come back through here, this is my stop for a great meal and friendly service.

Solid Tex Mex chain in Austin. We always love going to Serranos because of their complimentary chips and salsa - this salsa is what they are known for and the consistency is like a blend between red tomatillo salsa and pico, plus small serrano peppers to make it extra spicy. I decided to try out this location and their Migas breakfast plate. The food was delicious, but I do wish the Migas portion of my plate was more and less beans and potatoes. Nevertheless, I’d still come back but I’d definitely stick to tacos or fajitas.

We came in on a busy weekend. The staff was accommodating and had us seated once they cleaned some tables. I love the atmosphere inside where they have every wall painted with Mexican themes. We ordered guacamole with our salsa and chips, it tasted fresh. Our main meal was fajitas, you can taste the smoky flavor from the mesquite wood they cook over. This separates them from the competition. We also tried the chicken mole. Yum! The recipe was on point. We will definitely return to Serranos when we're craving Mexican. Keep it up!

The food is alrigh, definetly think its overpriced. The service was slow , and we had to ask the waiter for our checks one at a time. The music was really loud causing us to have to yell in order to hear and have a conversation. Its Chuys quality food for Lupe Tortilla prices. Id expect better quality for the prices.

We’ve enjoyed Serrano’s in the past despite the premium prices, but this visit left us feeling swindled. A small, average queso—essentially Cheez Whiz with chunks—cost $9. Add to that an unexpected $1.50 charge for a hot sauce we weren’t warned about, and it felt like nickel-and-diming on top of already high prices. The food is decent, but these surprise charges make us question if it’s worth coming back.

Went to treat myself to a drink and dinner. Arrived before dinner time. Approximately 8 tables filled at that time. Hostess was friendly and seated me. After 10 minutes, I asked the hostess if I had a waiter. She apologized and went to find one. After another 5 minutes, a guy walked up and gave me some salsa and chips, but informed me he wasn't my waiter. I guess doing me a favor!!?? No water still. I waited ten more minutes and still no one showed up. I walked out. Hostess apologized but didn't really seem fazed with the situation. I man at the counter next to her looked like he was a manager, but didn't say anything, apologize or attempt to rectify the matter. If he was the manager, then that explains a lot about the attitude in this restaurant when it comes to service. So, on the bright side saved myself some money, but really unfortunate because I like their food. This Serranos employs many young people but they are poorly trained which reflects back to the manager!

Don't go here if you're in a hurry. I was 1 of 2 bar guests and my food took 30+ minutes. The lady beside me ordered hers well after me and received her order at least 10min before I did. I had to ask for chips and (extremely generic) salsa, even though the other guest was given hers automatically. The chicken thighs were tasty but very thin and the flour tortillas were rubbery to the point of almost being inedible - they were SO difficult to bite through. I asked for a small side of 3 sauces I wanted to try... and I was charged $2 EACH(!!!) for small ramekins that would have been free absolutely anywhere else. The men's room was bad. Really bad. In one stall, you have to physically lift the door in order to get the lock to engage; the other stall door does not lock AT ALL. When I got back to the bar to sign my check and take my leftovers to go, I found everything was gone - even though I had CLEARLY moved all my empty plates to one side near the edge of the bar, and my CREDIT CARD, my check, and my boxed leftovers were near my edge of the bar, together, obviously waiting for my return. Now I got to wait an extra 5min for them to prepare new sauces to go (for $6, I wasn't about to throw them away). Will I be back? Only if I have plenty of time to spare & all other restaurants in the area are closed.

Food was good but not great. Basic mexican restaurant stuff. Margaritas are good but seriously overpriced. Basic dinner and 3 drinks should not go over $50.

The Perfecto drink was great. The avocado and nacho were really good. The pariada fajita was amazing good. The only item that was not were the corn tortillas that were not hot. Staff was attentive and we had a good time. Very clean and great service .

However the food was not very appetizing. I had fajita tacos that had a strange flavor to them and my wife had some type of Taco with a sweet potato on it. She is not a picky eater so to see her take a few bites and leave the rest didn't say much for the establishment. We ordered a kids plate for our 2 year old. It consisted of beans, eggs and potatoes.. honestly it looked like military rations. Our kid eats any and everything except for what was on that plate. Not sure we will be back which is sad because the staff was friendly and the general environment was pleasant.

Clean establishment, good service, good ambience, but the food was not good. Ordered beef Fajitas for 2 and the meat was dried out and hard. The vegetarian enchiladas were so spicy my gf couldn't eat them and they don't offer a sauce that's not spicy according to waitstaff. Would definitely try again but at a different time of day.

My husband and I went for dinner for the first time on a Sunday night and the restaurant was not very busy. Ordered chicken nachos and tacos al carbon. The food was not impressive. The corn side was pretty good and the chips and salsa were definitely the best part of the night (I even took salsa home). The service seemed rushed. I don't think I would go back to the same location.

Food was just ok at best. Rice was under cooked. Came out just warm. Really lacking in flavor. Really not Mexican food. They tried to make it fancy, ended up making it not good. Would not go back. Sprite was flat,service was slow, order was incorrect, drinks were messed up, almost made us pay for something we didn't order, spoke to the manager, nearly empty on Saturday afternoon.

So, let me start by saying we love the food here. We typically enjoy good service too. So I am not one of those angry people that just post negative stuff just because I can. But in all honesty, I don’t think I have had worse service in a very long time. It’s as if we were a forgotten table, lost somewhere between the bar staff and the wait staff. I have never been so ignored at a reputable restaurant. The manager came out twice during the prep of the food just to clarify what our server had written down. Once the food was delivered, it was delicious, as always. We did not see another person at our table for at least the next 45 minutes. We sat watching, waiting for 30 minutes after we ate to get a to go plate. My wife finally got up to go to the hostess stand and said we just want to pay for our food. Can you please get someone to bring us a check. We understand there are staff shortages abs the lady who brought us the chips said that they had some new people. We get that, again, not angry people here. But something different needs to happen for them.

Not a great experience. When we walked in - no one greeted us. We had to look for someone. Once we got seated it was evident they had no idea who was going to take care of us. Once a server finally came over, there was no greeting - it was - "You want drinks?" --- then when the wrong drinks came - they stated that we should order since they were busy. Service sucked. Food was borderline mediocre. The place also smells like a mixture of cleaner with stale food and grease.

Sorry Serranos...But today the service really SUCKED! You should consider getting more help. Didn't see a help wanted sign anywhere and you are in desperate need of one. Again peeps that's just Grandma Texas and her opinion.

This was our first time coming here (and our last). I went with the recommendation from the server (chicken fajita enchiladas w/verde sauce). My wife went with the mixed fajita tacos and my son with the chicken fajita tacos. The portions were ok (even though the fajita tacos do not come with rice or beans). Really? We added it to my wife’s plate. Nonetheless, the chicken was extremely bland. Does anyone taste in the kitchen while cooking? The beef fajita was tender but bland as well. Our server could definitely have been more attentive (no, they were not busy). Either case, that’s my two cents!

Non authentic food sucked no flavor like im used to this place went down drain.. Service ok but seemed like not wanted there and im Mexican lol the beer and liquor was better than dinner.

Food was way over priced considering it was very bland. Drinks were watered down. Really a waste of money because we couldn't even force ourselves to eat the food. Sometimes trying something new isn't the best thing to do when it comes to restaurants. This was not it!

Whole kitchen staff came out staring at us eating for a very long time. Like 4-5 people standing by the wall just staring. We ordered the mole and it was way too salty. Told them to taste it. Manager agreed. Waiter was decent. I’m pretty sketched out about the whole situation. Definitely not coming back. I hope they didn’t spit in my food. You can’t take salt out of food but you can always add more.

I order nachos with hamburger and cheese . I received # 8 tortilla chips with less than a teaspoon of beef with melted cheese on top plus tomatoes. There was chopped onion , tomatoes, jalapeno pepp…

I will not be returning to here anytime soon due to their lack of care about their disabled patrons. Multiple times we have been to this restaurant and there are cars blocking the handicapped parking spots who are parking illegally by the building and not in a spot. Today when we were leaving two cars were blocking the accessible pathway. One almost ran me over and the other was just entirely in the way of the pathway and blocking in a car that was parked in a handicapped space. My husband went in to speak to the manager about this issue and was met with a lack of care and concern. This is deeply disappointing as a customer who frequents this establishment. We love their food but overall will not be returning due to their lack of handicap accessibility and unwilling to do anything about accessibility issues when they arise.

Bad service food cold prices to high.

Food is pretty good but don't order for pick-up or delivery, they usually forget food items and ALWAYS forget drinks. If ordering for pickup always ALWAYS check ALL items before leaving. EDIT - down to one star, called in when I didn't get the drinks and asked for a refund on the just the drinks NOPE full charge no refund (FYI, they also forgot tortillas on the Fajitas order)

5/10/2025 @ 830PM. Table for 2 This place is Horrible The wait staff has NO clue what they are doing! The “manager” is just as bad. Stood in the entry for what seemed like forever before someone finally showed up to seat us….there are 5 people in the bar area and 8 people in the restaurant so it is not busy AT ALL…once we were finally sat we waited 10 minutes before our waitress finally decided to come to our table. Apologetic, she took our starter order for the queso perfecto which was very good and delivered in a timely fashion. Getting her attention to take our food order was another story. Once she finally came back to our table we ordered the chicken fajitas and 3 beef enchiladas with the chipotle sauce on them. The chicken fajitas….chicken was from frozen pre packaged and way over cooked to the point it was tough and rubbery and the mystery house sauce that was drizzled atop the chicken left you wondering exactly what in the heck it was?!!! Gross! Is what it was!!! The chipotle sauce that was on the 3 beef enchiladas tasted like a week old thick pasta sauce from a can. Again…Gross!!! I will say that the refried beans were rather tasty and to me the best thing on either dish. Salsa was decent and the chips are from a bag Menu items are also way overpriced

What kind of bad joke is this? For anyone that orders online this is the $3 side of queso. What looks like about 2 oz and way too many chips. The rice is bland, the enchiladas had onions that i requested not to be put on, the tortillas taste like their off the damn shelf and the beans taste like nothing but fat. Not worth the money and anyone who tells you otherwise has probably only eaten this yankee trash masquerading as tex mex. Save your money and go down the road folks.

My girlfriend and I had dinner there this past week for the first time since they remodeled the place. Not impressed at all. The hostess was on her phone when we arrived. The place was pretty empty, but it took our waiter about 10 minutes to arrive at the table. We had some simple questions about the bar drinks and some items on the menu, but the waiter couldn't answer any of them. The drinks were served in plastic cups and the food was served on scratched up and chipped plates. The food was average. We didn't get bar drinks because the waiter couldn't answer our questions or suggest anything. I was hoping to see a manager when I left, but no one came by. What a horrible experience for the the amount they charge. Our previous experience was never this bad. We might try again or go to one of the other Tex-Mex restaurants in the area.

Service was great, food was not good at all. I ordered the chicken green enchiladas. The enchiladas had no flavor, tortillas tasted watery beans salty and let’s not talk about the alcoholic beverages. Waitress was amazing very helpful and understanding. Will not be going back it is not authentic Mexican food more like Tex-mex.

The waitress was very sweet. But spending $130 for 6 people was highly overrated. $4 for rice and beans per person? I thought the sides came with the food. Kids said their food was bland and no flavor. Main thing we enjoyed was the chips and salsa.
