Our waiter was wonderful and attentive. The food was delish. We inadvertently stayed past closing visiting and no one rushed us or made us feel like we were in the way and we continued to get service.

Nonna’s is our favorite neighborhood restaurant to go to for any special occasion or we just want great Italian food with fabulous service. I order Nonna salad with grilled shrimp almost every time. The Bruschetta appetizer is another flavorful favorite. Our guests have enjoyed amazing pasta dishes, pizza, and let’s not forget the amazing Cioppino. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are a valued guest or a loved family member. Thank you everyone for always making us feel so special!

There is something that despite their money and large marketing budgets that chain restaurants cannot match and that is...the atmosphere and energy of a well run local restaurant. Nonna's Italian Bistro captivates you from the moment you step in the door. A baby Grand Piano greets you as soon as you walk into the dining room with "All That Jazz" painted on the wall behind it. And its not there for show...okay well it is for live shows I mean. This is one of the very few places left where you can enjoy a fine meal while listening to a live jazz trio. Although this particular night they presented a local singer guitarist named Josh, who performed an array of contemporary songs. Okay you want to know about the food, is it good, is it plentiful, and is it worth it? The clear answer from our experience is YES, YES, YES!!!! The dining room is expansive, warm, well decorated (even if a bit cliche with poster prints of Italy that you might find in more cookie cutter places). But the reason you will fall in love with Nonna's is the yummy food, the service, and Nonna herself is known to frequent the tables to make sure everything is to your liking. Now that touch of authenticity is invaluable and is what will keep us coming back to enjoy Nonna's. Heck, we might even see you there!. Follow up-- we have been back there 6 times since our original visit and guess what...its still awesome! #LiveRemarkably #StevieGSuccess

We just experienced Nonna's for the first time this weekend and had a wonderful meal. The first impression when you walk into the dining room is that this is a really classy place with a pleasant atmosphere and vibe. Our waiter James greeted us upon arrival at the table, learned that it was our first time, and gave us a quick run down on the restaurant and some of the menu items he recommended. The menu is an excellent size and I like that they have plenty of choices without trying to make every possible Italian dish. It gives a lot of confidence that what they are doing is going to be quality. We started with some cocktails an order of their delicious garlic knots and the Nonna's Salad. We did not each want a large salad and James graciously offered to have the kitchen split it for us. This salad is great with marinated beets, candied walnuts, and feta cheese on a bed of lettuce that is gently dressed with their Italian dressing. For my entre, I had the Arrbbiata pasta which is penne pasta with mushrooms, onions, and their signature Italian sausage. Everything is tossed in a rosa sauce and it is delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked and was served hot. James also brought us some of their house bread that I used to soak up all the sauce in my bowl. My wife had the Salsicciae Popetta Spaghetti which is your traditional spaghetti noodle with handmade meatballs and Italian sausage. She mentioned that it had just the right amount of sauce and that it was just what she wanted. We passed on dessert and will have to try it on another visit. We are very happy to have found this great Italian restaurant and if you want to have a great night out, be sure to go to Nonna's Italian Bistro.

Nothing disappointing here. Michaela has great recommendations. I had given up on finding good Italian food but I could see this place from my hotel and decided to give it a shot. The flavors reminded me of some of my favorite places in Connecticut. Flavor, flavor, flavor!

Wonderful service, wonderful ambiance, wonderful live saxophone music. Nonna is a lovely human, if she was taking applications for granddaughters I would apply. Vincent was a lovely server and was so personable as well as punctual, while not being overly pressuring. Overall great experience, would reccomend for a night catching up with friends, a romantic evening with a loved one, or for any occasion!

This place was so good. Highly recommend. The chef is a rockstar. Calamari 10 out of 10 would recommend. This churro Creme Brulee is my second favorite of all time and it is my favorite dessert which I have had way too much of in my life. Just. Yum. 😍🤤 Go there!

The wife, our close friends/inlaws and I ate here on 12/7/24. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the service was amazing as well! We even got to meet Nonna and get a picture with her, with me in her lap (I got a kiss on the cheek)! What a very sweet and nice lady! This is absolutely one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever ate at! Between the 4 of us, we had Lasagna, Cioppino, Pizza, Pasta Fagiole, Bistro Scampi, Parmesan Crusted Chicken and Garlic Knots, we all shared a taste of each other's food! And when I say we left with full belly's, it's because the food was so delicious, you couldn't stop eating even when full! I would absolutely return for dining at Nonna's!!

Love the family atmosphere, and... best Italian food I've had in a very long time! Michael, owners son, was incredible! Was great meeting Nonna! Again, BEST Italian food I've had in years!!!

Let me start off by saying I have been to the Nonna's in Denver several times as well as this Nonna's several times, both personal and work. This is by far my favorite Italian restaurant in the city. The ambiance in both locations is great (not too loud, not too quiet). The wait staff is always on point and the food is DELICIOUS. At this particular location they have live music and a great bar, the open kitchen looks great and all of this sets the mood for the restaurant. My favorite just happens to be the spaghetti with meat sauce (add meatballs please) and you can tell this recipe comes from nothing but LOVE! The noodles are cooked perfectly the sauce is meaty and has so much taste to it. The meatballs are juicy and tender............. I WISH I COULD ORDER RIGHT NOW...YUM! I have never had a less than stellar experience at either restaurant and would (I have several times) recommended this place to anyone who is looking for some great Italian cuisine and looking for a nice place to relax and have a great meal. Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to try the deli side, I definitely will some time down the road. Nonna and team... you are freakin awesome! I love your restaurant... you all do excellent work! I can't wait to come back!

Nona and her staff are unbelievably pleasant, I feel like family every visit. Sean is one of the best servers in town. As for food, the quality is to notch and very memorable. The gnocchi is to die for. The ambiance is great, with some form of live music going on most nights. By far one of my favorite hidden gems in the metro area.

All I can say is wow! The staff were very very nice and welcoming! Michael was our waiter, and he was so funny, enthusiastic, and charming! The food was wonderful! Every little detail was great. Had the calamari, and that was so cool! I've never had Sicilian style calamari, and it was so simple and yummy! Mom got the chicken piccata, and wow that was the most tender chicken ever. I got the Italian combo sandwich because I couldn't decide between the beef or sausage; the combo has both. Bread was on point--crispy French bread. The sausage was huge! We also got the tiramisu, and it was fantastic. Best part was that it's made by scratch. Didn't get a picture of it because we ate it right away!! The food may be a bit pricey, but it's worth it. Definitely coming back to try the other goodies! Thank you!!

Took in-laws for their 23rd wedding anniversary. Food was delicious. Outdoor patio was delightful. Staff was incredibly nice, informed, and well masked. Would recommend this place for any occassion, dine-in or takeaway!

My husband and I had such a fantastic dinner at Nonna's Italian Bistro on Friday night! The food was absolutely delicious – every dish we tried was incredibly flavorful and authentic. Beyond the amazing meal, the atmosphere was truly wonderful; it felt warm, inviting, and just perfect for a lovely evening out. To top it all off, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and can't wait to go back!

The risotto and bistro scampi was amazing!! We will always come back! Our server was great energetic and friendly and the food was absolutely to die for. It’s all homemade and you can taste it in the noodles.

I was planning a surprise 80th birthday dinner for my mom and I remembered that I previously took my mom here for dinner a few years ago. I booked a semi private room and it was the right choice for my family. Our mom was so surprised. The food was absolutely fantastic and our waiter was excellent. My mom and I had the special which was clams with linguini (I had it with penne pasta). The dish as amazing and very creamy, I will come back for that again. The other dishes had were Chicken Piccata, Chicken Marsala, Arrabiata and Spaghetti with meatballs. All dishes were fabulous. We will definitely come back again.

We had the most delicious Italian meal at Nonna’s! The portions were the perfect size and every dish was just a delicious as the next. The kids menu offers great kid friendly options. The staff was so friendly, kind, and attentive. They were also so sweet with our kiddos. Will definitely have to go back soon!

Nonna's is wonderful! I had the Butternut Squash Ravioli and the Nonna salad. I ordered garlic knots. It was delicious, scrumptious, entirely satisfying. There was enough sauce left over to dab the garlic knots and savor every drop. The live music, the out of this world cuisine, the comfortable seating, the enjoyable buzz of the fellow patrons and staff made for a delightful evening. Our out of town guest loved dinning at Nonna's too. We are so lucky to have a special place just off of Arapahoe. I highly recommend Nonna's to everyone.

First visit here and honestly I am very impressed. The lasagna is hands down the best I have ever had! The staff was amazing and the owner came and spoke to us about our visit and meal. I love this restaurant and I will be back!

Got the parmesan crusted chicken, its so delicious I get it every time now. Other items on the menu look amazing, but I cant chance it not being as good as the chicken 😂 service has always been amazing, they hire amazing people.

We found Nonna's because it was close to our hotel and Italian food sounded good. Oh. My. God. It was one of the best meals I've had in recent memory. James was our waiter; the service and atmosphere were very nice (live music!), but the Parmesan Crusted Chicken was out of this world! The bread pudding was amazing; not your normal, heavy, drenched in sauce bread pudding. This bread pudding was light, airy, with just a slight drizzle of caramel sauce, with whipped cream and strawberries on top. I wish I lived closer, but my waistline is so happy we don't!

Nonna’s Italian Bistro is one of those places that immediately feels inviting. Even though it’s a large restaurant, the cozy décor, the friendly staff make it feel intimate and comfortable perfect for a family meal. We kicked things off with garlic knots and they were fantastic. Crispy on the outside, warm, fluffy, and drenched in garlic butter and topped with parmesan. For my entrée, I went with Nana’s chicken parmesan. The chicken breast was perfectly cooked, topped with fresh mozzarella and served with a bright, flavorful house pomodoro. The linguini and seasonal vegetables made it a well-balanced and satisfying plate. My wife ordered the pappardelle bolognese and it was outstanding. The sauce was rich and hearty, made with sausage and Colorado ground chuck, paired perfectly with the wide pappardelle pasta. Finished with parmesan, it tasted like something straight out of a family kitchen. The kids had buttered pasta and surprisingly the portions were the same size as a regular entree. Finished with some vanilla gelato, Oreo ice cream and bread pudding. Amazing! Excellent food, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere. Nonna’s lives up to its name and is a place we’ll happily return to.

The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. There was live music and the other room had a TV with sports on. It was very full and everyone had something delicious in front of them.

The margarita pizza was great! They sat us by the bar at a high top table and the server would never hardly check on us during our dinner. It was my first time here. Seemed like a great place to for women to drink wine and mingle.

We went here on Mother’s Day and we were for the most part impressed. The lack of live music seems like an easy mark that they missed. The food was good except for the crème brûlée. This part really irritated us and it seemed like a “they won’t know the difference” the top was not toasted at all, had raw sugar on it and they tried to cover that with whipped cream. Not only that but it had the consistency of mashed potatoes, disgusting. Pretty disappointing because that was the one dessert we were looking forward to.

Amazing food and good service. But can’t recommend the gelato.. We had a scoop of gelato at the end of our meal which wasn’t the best experience. Our gelato tasted strange and upon inspecting the gelato case on the way out — it was unkempt and the gelato looks very old..

Made a reservation for my husband’s birthday, it’s close by and we haven’t tried it. Our waitress was friendly but appeared to have tables all over and took a while getting to us at times, this could also be due to volume of tables also so I don’t necessarily fault her, I’ve been there. It took a while to get drinks after ordered since this was our first time I’m not sure if that’s normal. We ordered stuffed mushrooms and bruschetta while waiting for the last of our party to arrive. My husband said the mushrooms were delicious. My husband got the arrabbiata and said it was he enjoyed it. I ordered the lobster ravioli and personally felt it left more to be desired as far as the ravioli themselves the sauce however is delicious but if you want something substantial or even lobster forward this is not your dish, there was not much filling and there were only 6 to the plate. All in all It’s an alright place but I think for Italian food there’s another place we go to also close by that has more to a plate and similar pricing. So that would be my first choice, I know I can just order a dinner plate there and not leave still hungry.

The experience started off horribly due to the older lady who doesn't know how to work a phone. I called to make reservations and got hung up on...Then the blonde server said we had to make reservations a month in advance to get a booth even though there was no one sitting in them... then she proceeded to argue with someone in my party. We got lucky when we got James as our server. James was a fantastic server and saved our night. He got the kids food out first and that was awesome. James was attentive but not overly. The food was pretty good and the atmosphere was weird since they put us in the private room in the corner with no one in it by the weird cat lady pictures. Overall it alright.

Nona's is a very popular Centennial/Aurora restaurant. I have been here several times for ladies night out and the occasional birthday party. The prices are mid to expensive and the offerings are standard Itallian fare. The atmosphere is lovely and some nights they have a live piano player which is good--it is an unusual backdrop--but also can make it hard to hear if you are at a larger table. There is a full bar and only a couple of large tv's. There is nice outdoor seating and a great room for private events. Lots of warm rough stone, heavy dark wood furniture and a mixture of booths and tables with a few smallet high tables sprinkled in. Service is always friendly and sometimes a little slow between parts of the meal. Our server was funny but a little overly jocular/familiar at times. We appreciated that they allowed a taste between 2 chardonnays for selection. We also shared a bottle of Moscato--the delightful peach House of Jolanda. The appetizers are generally a good size and lighter than the food flavor wise. We shared stuffed mushrooms (5) and calamari. Both were good though the calamari was a little greasy. For future reference, their brussel sprouts are outstanding. I had the artichoke roasted risotto and substituted seared scallops for shrimp. The risotto was heavy and dull--more like porridge. I could not taste the artichoke at all. Luckily, the scallops were seared perfectly even if there were only 5. Companions all seemed to enjoy their meals including the brown butter ravioli which I have had in the past as well. It never disappoints! Happily dessert was great. We shared chocolate Canoli, Walnut bread pudding, tiramisu, and creme brulee. The stand outside were the creme brulee and tiramisu. I quite liked the light and airy vanilla gelato atop my bread pudding--which they had to take back your the kitchen because the server saw it was missing the gelato-- but the bread pudding itself was just too dense and one dimensional. Overall I know I will be back at Nonna's as it is a local favorite-- dependable and cozy.

As a culinary connoisseur, I would have to say that the food was just okay! Ate at the bar and loved the bartender! She was engaging and steered me clear of the scallops, which I originally had my heart set on..... the beef ribs were my second choice, but probably should have read that they were brined. Way lots of salt, but as any chef knows, if the entree is salty, then the potatoes and spinach should have not.... rookie move, but the lasagna and the bread with evoo and balsamic were amazing! Gotta find a good place for scallops now 😁

First experience at this restaurant and I must first admit I am spoiled. Grew up in New York so I was able to experience amazing Italian food. But I think everyone wants to look for something unique and tasty when you’re spending money at a restaurant. The decor and the cleanliness was excellent. Although the service was a little bit glacial. Ordered an appetizer (bruschetta) that lacked some flair. I will admit my pasta bowl was delicious with spicy sausage. Bread was just OK and the marinara sauce was a bit watery. Not the worst but most certainly not the best. I was never asked, how was your meal?

M
Marie Hart

While I have loved Nonna's in the past, yesterday's experience was luke warm. The oil & vinegar plate that was prepared for the bread was awful. Not sure why, but the balsamic vinegar was so dried up that it didn't blend at all with the oil. I tried moving it and it would not budge. then, we asked for a pear, pomegranate, blue cheese arugula salad. We ended up with an $18 dry and plain arugula salad. When we mentioned that we really didn't get any toppings or dressing, they replaced our salads with brand new ones that were dripping in some creamy dressing and so so much pomegranate seeds that we so dry and hard that it was impossible to eat. I had the raviolis that sat in some water. Overcooked and bland. My friend had the scallops. Same pasta was drowning in water, no taste and the brown scallops didn't really justify the $33 price tag. Not sure if it was just a bad day for the kitchen or what, but I really hope that they go back to how it was.

J
Jessica Sanders

Dinner was fine. The ambiance was decent, but the music was way too loud. What really killed it was how we saw the owner treated her staff. She was warm and welcoming to to us and the other the patrons, but it wasn’t extended to the staff. we were seated near the kitchen and heard everything — yelling, cursing, throwing things, slamming dishes. It was chaotic and uncomfortable.

P
Piper Fernandes

Loud and overstimulating. DO NOT GET THE CACIO E PEPE. It’s awful. I would also avoid the chicken, also awful. I wasted $31 on a meal I took two bites of. Never coming back here. Nobody likes unseasoned chicken and forgetting to add pepper (or any other seasoning to the pasta) is actually criminal. Overpriced and bad food.

C
Christopher Smith

This restaurant used to be great now it’s very mediocre. Ate dinner there last night after having not been there for over a year and was extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. My chicken Parmesan was overcooked and very unpalatable. It’s very sad. This restaurant has dropped so far, to the level of Olive Garden or worse. Do not recommend it.

M
Maria Rey

A mixed experience. The pianist was fantastic and the ambiance was great. Our waiter was a true professional—the highlight of our meal. The food was passable, but the excellent service and live music made the evening enjoyable. The hostess could use some training on customer service, as her attitude was a poor first impression.

J
Jean-Luc Heidrich

Let me start by saying that our server was very nice. Struggled a bit with remembering things, but admitted that they were short staffed so we were sympathetic to that. We started off with the bruschetta, which was served with stale crostinis. They tasted like they were made in a large batch in the morning, and then sat around all day getting stale. Not only that, but they tasted like they’d absorbed the kitchen air, so not a great start. Then came the mains (pictured below). The short rib was dry, and bland with a watery sauce. Not sure how you dry out a braised short rib, but that’s what happened. The mash had clumpy, grainy consistency. This is likely due to it sitting around, having the condensation dribble off the lid into the mash. I ate it as I didn’t want to complain about every dish, so I just sucked it up. My wife’s chicken parm was cold, and the sauce I can only describe as chef Boyardee canned tomato soup. It was watery and disgusting. That we sent back as it was quite literally inedible. We told the server and they responded with “I’m so sorry, the food here is horrible, I know!” They offered us a free cannoli, but based on what we had just eaten, we declined the offer and chose to simply enjoy our wine as it was the only thing the untouched by the cook in the back. I’m not saying that the whole restaurant is horrible, but they should really consider replacing their kitchen staff.

Dedria, I have waited to write a review on our experience at your establishment. Hoping that I would feel different about your poor management skills towards our table. I have read how many restaurants you have opened, how many years of experience you have, and all the key ingredients it takes to be a successful entrepreneur with one major thing you lack. Being a leader in resolving conflict. Maybe that is why you have gone through so many restaurants? Makes me wonder. Your visible presence sitting at your bar by yourself drinking the entire time we were at your establishment does not reflect well on your character. The fact that you lied to my son and said you have no cameras, only for him to point out to you the camera directly over you. The fact you came into the small room ready to attack us, not to resolve the problem, only shows your lack of experience running a business. If your server needed help why didn't you get up and help. That's what a good owner would do. Read the room. Know what is going on before a catastrophe happens. Take ownership. You failed that night. I don't care if we were rude as your server put it. It is a matter of opinion. We expected stellar service, as your prices represent. Olive Garden is far superior than your establishment and we would have gotten a mint to go. Feel free to respond as I am sure you will. But remember this... we are the customer. We pay your bills. We give the referrals, we can make or break the continuing success for businesses. Next time I would suggest you stop, look, and listen to your customers. Good Referrals are so important in today's world.

M
Michael Fidler

Tough night tonight, 10 minutes before the hostess returned to the front to greet us, server said they were short staffed and she was by herself and completely overwhelmed, pasta was over cooked and doughy and whomever was on the chicken parmesan station tonight turned the chicken breast to a hockey puck…for two of our meals. Management needs to spend a couple of Sunday’s in the restaurant or just close on Sunday night.

S
Sanz

NOPE. Single worst dining experience of my life. The place was nearly empty and that was clearly a sign. Had to send the food back twice and left hungry. I ordered chicken parmesan and it was tough, dry and VERY bland. Tried the Italian sausage sandwhich after that and clearly the chef was mad at me because the bread was extremely stale and it tasted dirty. I couldn't eat it and had to spit it out. My wife ordered the gnocchi which wasn't any better. She tried the chicken picata after that and her noodles came out crunchy. So yeah, you can expect retaliation from the kitchen if you don't like something. I've never done this before but, Dear owner, you've got a big problem in that kitchen. I VERY much regretted not cooking at home because I could have done so much better on any of these dishes myself. Truthfully, McDonald's would have tasted better. Tonight was the first date night my wife and I have had in months and it was completely wasted on this restaurant. You couldn't pay me to eat whay they're serving over there and you can be sure we will NEVER go back. Do yourself a favor and eat anywhere else.
