It’s an awesome place to hang out. We ordered from Republik of Chicken & Sushi Sora. Republik of Chicken staff were not knowledgeable regarding their ingredients, what gluten is, what their fries are coated in. This is unacceptable. All staff should be trained on ingredients within their menu and allergen info. When I inquired if their French fries are coated in wheat flour, they did not know, and the woman at the counter asked me if I wanted her look at the bag to find out, which she clearly didn’t want to have to do, but really all staff should already be aware of ingredients in their menu. She claimed their french fries are coated in wheat flour, so those gluten intolerant cannot order them. The sweet potato fries (which they also had to look at when I inquired) do not contain wheat flour. Sushi Sora has a gluten free menu and staff there were knowledgeable regarding allergens. The sushi was very good, although a bit overpriced, but that’s the case with every food hall. The poke bowl was a great portion and delicious too.

This place is GIGANTIC! With so many people there I am surprised that we found parking no problem, got checked in right away, there were no lines (except for the bathroom) we found a place to sit and eat and our food and the food came really fast! It was slso delicious! They came up with a pretty good system there. We're from Washington and it was a nice experience! I'm very impressed! If I lived here I'd go there often. I love the view and decor! Wish I could see it after dark!

Very cool “self serve” beer house. Good view of Clear Creek. Great food selection to complement the beer, cider and wine that’s on tap.

Absolutely loved eating here. The staff is extremely friendly and informative. They explained to us the layout and how everything worked. The BBQ nachos were delicious! Will definitely be coming back again!!

Very cool place and delicious mulled red wine and tacos yummy!! Never been there before but definitely will go back when in Golden. Went after hiking North Table Mountain.

really cool place at the foot of the mountains. the staff was very helpful in guiding me how the place works. The food was great and it was a beautiful day to have food and a drink on the balcony seating. I went solo and enjoyed people watching and looking out at the mountains.

Been a couple times just now posting. We had wine and sushi this time. We love the card drink system. To long to describe but short story you get a card and put it in the dispenser and pour your drink. The happy hour sushi hand roll and edamame were perfect.

This was a very cool place. I'm from the Midwest and have never been to a place like this before. Don't refer to any of the vendors as a food truck. The host at the register ringing us up was very quick to correct me and inform me that it's a "food Hall"…. Kind of snippy but oh well. I still had a great time. The rooftop seating has a beautiful view!!

Such a fun place for lunch. Right on the river with a view of the Coors plant. Iconic! I got the BBQ and it was delicious. Smoked chicken sandwich with potato salad. The potato salad was some of the best that I’ve had in a while. A tangy crunchy pickle pop really made it. There are a few other good choices there too. It’s like an elevated food court.

Our family had so much fun here! What a great dining concept, everyone can get their own drinks and food. Our family of 8 chose the sushi (upstairs), burgers, wings, and Mexican food. Lines were long, but our food was ready really fast. The ice cream was also delicious! The location is one of the best in Golden. When we pulled up on a Saturday afternoon, there was a long line to enter, but we got in really quickly. The place was packed, but there was plenty of room for us to find a table. It was a fun time!

Love the self-serve beer concept. Drank a few ounces of Coors because when in Rome. . . Food wise, we tried the sushi spot and the bbq! Both were awesome! Live music and beautiful views really add to the vibe!

This place truly has something for everyone! From food to drinks, you can bring the whole crew and everyone will find something to enjoy. With 40 taps downstairs and 16 more upstairs, you’ll find everything from beer, wine, and cocktails to seltzers and even non-alcoholic sodas. They even offer tap cocktails served in salt-rimmed glassware, a fun and thoughtful touch! The food menu has plenty of options to satisfy any palate, and the rooftop patio views are epic, a perfect spot to hang out in Golden. As a fun bonus, it’s located right across the street from the Coors Brewery, and during Happy Hour, they serve Coors at half price (the same price as a soda!). Grab your friends, head to the rooftop, and enjoy one of the most well-rounded spots in town.

Vibe is fantastic. Reminds me of Austin, TX. We only tried the sushi but it was pretty good. Not the best I’ve ever had but hit the spot on a warm breezy day. My husband liked the beer concept. Place was exceptionally clean.

Food halls are the best... Especially dog-friendlly ones! We went here around lunch time on a Saturday (prime time). It was packed! But everything we had was great! I'll definitely be back! So, the way it works is you wait in line (if theres one) and get carded. Staff load these special cards with your credit card to use throughout the food hall. At the end of the night an 18% gratuity is added and your tab is closed. You can leave and come back within the same day with the same card (skipping the line upon re-entry). There are shades and misting fans blowing cool air throughout the outdoor seating area. People go around constantly bussing tables. There are self-service taps on the 1st floor and a few on the 2nd floor. It is charged by ounce. So if you just want a little, you can do that... or a big pour! They had all types of beer, selter, cider, mixed drinks (bees knees & prickly pear marg are a few in saw), and wine - all on tap. They have various sized/styled glasses to chose from including a salted rim rocks glass for on tap cocktails. They have water coolers with disposable doggie bowls also! To eat we got: *brisket, smoked mac & cheese and coleslaw -very good! *poke bowl (ahi with the poke spicy sauce, jalapeño, cucumber, white onion & avocado on rice) *beer (ipa, sour) We came back a few hours later for this: *ice cream (salted caramel oreo, birthday cake with sprinkles & a puppy cup!)

The Golden Mill in Golden, Colorado, is a gem! Their self-pour tap wall serves up incredible house-made margaritas—perfectly tangy and refreshingly icy—that stole the show. With 50+ taps of craft beers, ciders, and wines, there’s something for everyone. The food from five vendors, like Rolling Smoke BBQ’s brisket and Sushi Sora’s fresh rolls, is top-notch, with vegan and gluten-free options available. The vibe is awesome, with creek-side and rooftop patios boasting stunning North Table Mountain views, live music, and a dog-friendly scene. It’s the perfect spot for a fun, laid-back outing. Can’t wait to return for more margs and that unbeatable atmosphere!

I love the Mill. It's become a personal favorite since learning about it back in 2021. I moved out of town and always come back. The food is always delicious and staff are friendly and helpful. I love that they incorporated the tap card to pay for food! I'll always be back

Beer wall format - good selection of local and regional beers. Found some IPAs and sours that were pretty good. Atmosphere is the big plus here. Super chill, patio downstairs, balcony upstairs, views are great. Food truck food was on point and everything was super clean and well maintained. Plenty of seating and if you’re in Golden for anything, it’s within walking distance

Stumbled upon this creek side restaurant while hanging in Golden pre red rocks concert. Very cool concept. Check in at front desk, give a cc and they provide you with a swipe card for drinks and 4-5 different food options including sushi, bbq, tacos, ice cream and another one … sorry didn’t get to that one. Sushi was the best!! Lots of beers, ciders, seltzers and mixed drinks so everyone was happy. Dog friendly with outdoor/indoor seating next to a running creek. Loved it!!

The place with the golden view. Walking around a city gets you mad hungry and we were ready for some food after exploring Golden for about an hour. Cassey and Caleb used to live in the Golden area and wanted to swing by The Golden Mill for a few drinks and to just shoot the breeze. They didn’t tell me what kind of place it was besides it had beer and wow… what a really cool place. This is one of those places where you get a card and you scan that at the taps and pour your own beer and however much you want. Its like being a kid in a candy store. Something like 30+ adult beverages to pick from and as much as your wallet will let you purchase. I found an IPA that sounded good so I absentmindedly tried pouring it from the tap like a fountain soda and it was about 60% head. The guy that watches the taps came over and chuckled and showed me how to properly dispense an IPA. I hadn’t even started drinking yet and I was messing it up. He hooked me up with a properly poured glass and us three headed out for the rooftop seating area. We sat upstairs, people/dog watched, chatted about everything and nothing while sipping our beers. It was a perfect day for either dressing warm or dressing like its spring. I was in a light coat but saw people in shorts and shirts casually walking around. One of the beers I had was a Stone Tangerine Express Hazy IPA and it took a few sips for me to come around to it since the tangerine flavor was very pronounced. The other beer I got was Golden Hazy and I loved every sip of that. Cassey had to pour that one for me since she didn’t trust my amazing bartending skills. Fun fact, we sat outside in the direct sunlight and I ended up getting a mild sunburn. A sunburn in February. That’s wild coming from someone who lives in three months of dreary winter weather. Golden is a beautiful city with beautiful sights so if you ever find yourself needing some beer and awe-inspiring views, this is the place to be. They also serve food but the main draw definitely seems to be the beer tap wall. The outdoor seating area does seem perfect for live music and various other activities as well, if that’s something you are looking for. Stay Golden, everyone. 😀

Love this place! A fantastic selection on tap, pour your own beer, cider, kombucha, hazy, seltzers, wine, Coors, and so much more. A bunch of local food venues to choose from under one roof. Two stories of sunshine, food, drinks, and live music. They have everything from sushi, chicken, BBQ, tacos, ice cream, and more. And, don't forget to shop at another excellent location for "YO Colorado". Everything here is Golden!💛

Great place to grab a bite and have tap beer with friends! The food was very tasty and generous in portions, I personally lived the wings. Good vibe and comfortable seating. Staff were very friendly. You can get as little or as much as you wish and pay per ml/oz, which is very convenient to try a little bit of everything or if you don't drink much, get the small amount.

M
Marty Wallace

Great location. Nice selection of beer. Didn’t drink the wine. Only cocktail I tasted was the mule and was strong. I like that you could pay by the pour which allowed me to taste different beers and pour more of what I liked best. They give you a card to use at each pouring station for whatever drinks you want. There are two levels w a fair amount of outdoor seating (patio and rooftop) with views of the Coors factory, mountains, and the river. It was a short walk to a parking lot. The BBQ was amazing. Definitely get the burnt ends! Didn’t have room for ice cream but they had that too. The only negative was how hot the tables upstairs got in the sun.

This is a great place to go to when you have lots of people (or just two) with dietary restrictions, different food preferences or when you just want a night out. We enjoyed food from several places as well as just a little bit of cider (instead of having to buy a whole glass). There is a lot of outside seating and the restaurant can be really busy on the weekends and in the evenings, or can be quiet if you go in the off hours.

E
Erica McIntyre

The food was great there are tons of options and the people were so kind. It is a serve yourself taproom but there are workers around to inform you of beers and how to pour. I really enjoyed this place.

A must stop place if in Golden! I've been coming here a lot since it's a great spot to spend with friends and family. They have something for everyone here. Walk in, grab a beer card, and self-serve your own drinks from the beer wall! Cocktails, wine, and Sake are also on the beer wall. Helpers are always there to help if you have never done it before. They will also recommend great drinks, especially for you. Good options of foods like Mexican, American, BBQ, Sushi, and ice cream. There is plenty of seating with an upstairs outdoor patio with tables, high tops, and bar stools over looking the Coors factory/river. Huge downstairs outdoor patio for dogs and big groups. They keep it Shady as well with fans that create mist for cooling down. Place gets busy on the weekends!

Great place to have a drink and some delicious food in a very unique manner! Tap beer is sold by the ounce and there are variety of cuisines offered inside, which can all be enjoyed with a spectacular view of the mountain and overlooking the coors light brewery. Taco place had some attitude tho

Fun place with unique serving concepts. The food was great, a little pricey if you are on a budget. Fun atmosphere and great place for a meal with friends or people visiting CO.

Really great place to take out of town guests who want a “Colorado” experience. Pour your own beverages and look out at the views of the Coors brewery and the river! Good food options and tons of outdoor space.

Came here to meet some fellow coworkers, my first time visiting. It was a great time! It does get very busy but with the self serve beer options, there is no problems! We tried food from three of the vendors and it was all delicious! Great views and great variety. Will spread the word around. Parking can be a little challenging, but not impossible. Thank you!!

If you're in Golden and skip this place you're missing out! Fantastic food hall experience. Tap selection including beer, sours, ciders, premixed, and kombucha. Multiple good options. You sign in, give them a card, and they give you a card. You then use that at any pour (get an ounce or a pint! It charges by the ounce), and for food. You tally up and pay when you leave. Multiple levels and located right along the river. Great setting, and great experience!

Awesome concept, a lot of great beers on tap and a great atmosphere. There are plenty of food options from tacos to BBQ to sushi. The food was decent but left some room for improvement. Updated review: 2 years later The food is much improved, same great atmosphere and absolutely a spot we will be visiting every time we come to Golden!

First time in..pretty cool experience. You get a card, order your food they scan your card and take down a good phone number...then you go get your drink of choice with your card and you wait for your text that your food is ready...you can go fill up your drink at any time sense it's self serve, when you are done and ready to go, you just put your card into the box and they charge you after you leave. Super easy and actually really nice not having to wait for waiters to get to you. The food was delicious too! We had fish & chips, chicken tenders and the Republik cheesyburger. Highly recommend you stop here if you visit Golden Colorado.

We came for lunch after touring the Coors brewery and this place was awesome. It was a sunny winter day and we sat up on the roof by the fire pits looking at the frozen river and the brewery just downstream. I had brisket and smoked ends that were delicious. My wife enjoyed the tacos. The beer selection is great and the ice cream coffee drinks were a delicious dessert. All around great food and great vibes.

J

The food was good. It was a food truck experience with the truck. Each food vendor had extensive menu choices. You waited on yourself, however the bus staff and the staff at the register (point of contact) was very helpful. Atmosphere was laid-back and perfect place to relax and conversation. Located on the river that feeds into the Coors Bewery. The scenery was beautiful.

First time here was a pretty good experience! Came in after a hike and after the lesson on how things worked (much like starting a tab at a microbrew) you get your GM Card and off we went to order our food. I’m guessing this is easier than having a digital wallet on your phone as not everyone has Apple or Google to pay. When ordering food, tap your card, order away and you’ll get a text when it’s ready. Easy! As for the drinks! Dangerous! I can see loosing track of the amount of alcohol you drink as you walk up to the tap once you have grabbed a proper sized glass. Set the card in the slot at your selected drink and pour away. The counter on the tap is close to accurate. Mine was off a little when I got my bill, but not complaining as the drink was good. By the time we got our drinks, there is a huge selection of beer and wine (I got a bourbon) our food was ready. I got a burger, my wife got chicken and both were really good. I’m planning a return trip with Veteran friends on Veterans Day. They do give discount to veterans on regular days. All in all a great experience!

Large place with indoor and outdoor seating. Cool views from the rooftop seating area. It's an open tap setup where you get a card and use that to poor your own beer, wine. Pre made cocktails and some non alcoholic beverages. On our visit there was a good string band. Lots of parking in the area.

B
Brit Lorbs

Great beer, wine, and cocktails on tap! Views are exceptional. Sunshine is plentiful on the decks! Serve yourself! No waiting around for service, which I loved! It’s all digital, you can pop in and get everything you want and pop out whenever you need by just placing the digital card in a box!

We have been here many times and the quality of the food is inconsistent. Sometimes it’s good, but other times, like today, it’s cold and disappointing. There are several food options but they’re all just fine — not good and not bad. Today I got my usual go-to meal—the hamburger and fries from Republik of Chicken. When it’s good, I really enjoy it, but it was all cold this time. Depending on what you get, the other food places are also fine. We’ve tried all of them and found a couple good items. Also, we enjoy the big attraction of being able to pour your own drinks. However, I got two different “clean” glasses today that had lipstick around the rims. It was gross. I poured my drinks into new glasses (making sure they were clean). If you’re putting glasses with the clean glassware, it should actually be clean. We’ll be back but it isn’t a spot we’re super excited about.

L
Leah Bandy

Cute food and drink hall with several different cuisines. There is a beer wall as well. I like getting ice cream at the shop in the corner. This place is very trendy and busy with limited parking nearby, but there are lots of different seating options for different group sizes and hangout vibes. Indoor tables downstairs, as well as outdoor tables on ground level and up on the rooftop/upstairs floor. There are heaters and string lights so it makes for a cozy environment even in cool weather or after dark.

J
Jake Hoover

The only reason I'm dropping a star is the price. Beer is super expensive. They also charge 18% gratuity when you have to serve yourself. Everyone was very nice. It was clean and the sushi I got was delicious. I guess Golden is just an expensive town but $10 for a beer you pour yourself is kinda nuts. Wait, it's actually more like $12 after the forced gratuity.

T
Tom Lau

Nice spot with a trendy, buzzing vibe and a unique setup where they sync your payment card with their RFID-enabled card to buy food and drinks. The self-pour beer and lively community atmosphere are a hit. Service is super fast, even when it's packed, and the staff is on point with clearing tables. I loved it! The foods are okay—lots of variety with each vendor, but I can't say I was expecting anything gourmet. Prices are on the slightly higher side with the automatic gratuity. Great place for hanging out with friends and for a quick bite.

A little confused about the ordering and what to do with our plates. We were supposed to leave them on the table after we finished. This place contains a variety of foods (food hall) in different sections. We opted for the BBQ. I had the pulled pork and my friends had the brisket. Very good and the white barbecue sauce was delicious. Drinks we had to purchase a card to get a drink even if it was a soda. We sat outside on the patio. Some people were sitting by the outdoor heaters. Very cool hang out to listen to music or play quiz games and grab some bites. People had their cute dogs on the patio. There is an ice cream shop with vegan options. Highly recommend Happy Cones Co. the coffee chocolate crack! VERY DELICIOUS!!!

Well, let me tell ya, there’s a place in Golden, Colorado, that feels like home to a weary wanderer, and that place is The Golden Mill. Nestled by the banks of Clear Creek, it’s got the kind of charm that makes you want to kick back, toss your boots off, and stay a while. Now, when you walk through those doors, you’re greeted by the kind of rustic warmth that wraps around you like a good ol’ flannel shirt. The wooden beams, the open-air layout, and the outdoor patio overlooking the creek make it an easy spot to settle in after a long day on the trail or behind a desk. That mountain air is something special, but the real treat? It’s what’s on tap. Ah, the self-service beer taps. Now this right here is where the Golden Mill sets itself apart. You walk up to the wall of taps, and it’s as if they’ve got a little slice of heaven right there in front of you. You can pour your own pints from a selection that rivals the best in the state. Craft beers, local brews, and a few classics—they’re all waiting for you to take your pick. It’s a simple pleasure, letting you indulge at your own pace. Pour a little too much? No problem; just dial it back on the next round. The freedom to explore different flavors makes it feel like you’re in charge of your own adventure. Now, if you’re in the mood for some grub, the menu is solid fare, embracing that frontier spirit. I tried the brisket nachos, and let me tell ya, they’re piled high and packed with flavor. The kind of food that sticks to your bones after a long day of riding or hiking. But if you’ve got a bigger appetite, the burgers are a hearty choice, cooked to perfection and served with a side of golden fries that could make any cowboy grin. As the sun sets over the Rockies and the lights start to twinkle, The Golden Mill transforms into a lively gathering spot. Locals and travelers share stories over their self-poured pints, laughter mixing with the sounds of the creek. It’s a place that feels like it’s been steeped in both history and the camaraderie of folks just looking to make a connection—like a good campfire on a cool night. So, if you ever find yourself in Golden, saddle up and make your way to The Golden Mill. Grab a drink, grab a seat, and soak in the good vibes of this place. It’s more than just a restaurant; it’s a community hub where the spirit of the West is alive and well. And remember, partner, sometimes the best adventures start with a few cold ones and a good meal. Cheers to that!

Super fun local spot. From the people I asked that lived there, the sentiment was that it doesn't get much better than this bar/food venue. From a drinks perspective, some great beer options! I had the margarita from the self serve and I have to admit that it was strong. My only concern was that I didn't know which kind of tequila it was - therefore the price ($14 for a full glass) seemed suspect. That being said the atmosphere is very fun! Had a great time partying with my buddies. From a food perspective, wow! So many options to choose from, including: fried chicken, sushi, BBQ and America classics. I got BBQ and was impressed. I don't like Mac and cheese but the Mac and cheese with pulled pork was fire! Personally I got the brisket and I would get it again... as you can see I tried all the sauces and while they were all good the spicy mustard did it for me! The fries were crispy, but that jalapeño corn bread...oh my. Highly recommend visiting this spot. Price wise, it's up there but to be honest the atmosphere makes up for it. Overall I give The Golden Mill a 4.2 out of 5, a Golden, CO must visit.

Pretty cool place to hangout in the evening. They have varieties of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. They provide a smart card upon check in. You can tap the card in any of the stalls are on self serve fountains for drinks. Pretty convenient process. They also have trivia nights, which is cool Would be great if they add more vegetarian choices on the menu

M
Matt Harper

I like the concept, I do. Several food places to choose from makes food for a group easier. The food was quite good from every place. Pretty expensive BBQ, but still good. They have a card system to pay for food and drinks. It's fine, just a bit awkward. I found 2 cards on the floor, meaning those people could have paid a fortune if someone else found them. The place is full of people trying really hard to look like they just finished skiing or an outdoor adventure. Not a great place to try to visit, yelling was commonplace all around us. They do have a lot of outdoor seating and great lamps. Some outdoor upstairs seating had great views.

A
Ashley Z.

We were really excited to finally check out this place during the Goldens event last weekend. I never expect anyone to cater to my meal preferences, but I was just a bit surprised that such a cool/trendy place such as this hardly had any vegetarian options. Again, not angry, just let down! Unless I wanted fries or chips and queso, there wasn’t too much for me. Would love a veggie/impossible burger option. :)

P
Pablo Bles

Cool space, and I enjoyed the outdoor tables around fire pits. The self-service concept is a negative for me. I chose a beer that happened to have a foamy tap and ended up spending more than I needed to correct it. On top of that, I had to go order and carry my own food, which was an OK burger and cold stale fries. And was charged an automatic 18% service fee while receiving no service. I'm totally on board with tipping when service is provided, but not when I have to do the work myself.

M
Matt k

Drinks are decent it the foods was meh My flat bread was not bread it was a cracker. Had to send it back My party was here 1hr ten minutes we've been served one appetizer and and 2 rounds of drinks and and we're still waiting on food. The place is pretty much empty... wouldnt come back again

G
Ghost Eye

Don't come here unless you want to pay $21 for a small and not even good tasting margarita. Could have literally got the same drink for $7 somewhere else. Two margaritas for me and my friend costed $42. This isn't las Vegas Nevada. Why are drinks that high? Not coming back again. The staff was nice that's all I can say positive. Then my friend paid $30 for a barbecue plate and it wasn't even that much food. Then they added a 18% service fee for some reason even though all of it is self-service. Why am I paying a service fee if I'm not getting any service besides interacting with the cashier for 1 minute. Then they claim the service fee to pay the staff a liveable wage for the area which makes sense but that's just a excuse. Pay your employees right and don't pawn off their pay onto the costumers. I wish I could have a refund.
