Visiting my mother in the neighborhood, went in and met shaun, very friendly, awesome atmosphere and great drinks ;-). Gotta try the food, they have the best burgers and wings in town, all fresh!
Beautiful vintage dive with solid wings (wet sauce hot Buffalo), solid locals that are genuine (if you’re genuine back), and a bathroom that sports a vintage 1950’s urinal troth. A much appreciated pub in an otherwise wasteland of a town.
Irish Pub to the core! You walk in the door and you feel at home. If you're the snooty type then move on down the street. I've been going there fo 20 years. Same owner for 35 years. Must be doing something right. If you have the gift of blarney, and a twinkle in your eye, Benny's your place.
Lol. Some of these reviews are off the charts. The staff are phenomenal and yes, it takes cash only but it’s not the end of the world. Most definitely the spot to go to!
I was staying outside the academy in a local motel in 2010. while working with a traveling company that made rubber gymnasium floors and was working inside academy for 5-6 months. Due to the town outside the Base being so underdeveloped back then, there was only the shell gas station a Walgreens and a rite Aid. And like 3 or 4 local bars.. And Benny Havens pub was the place to be!!! Even the candidates would leave the inside of the West point academy to venture to Benny's! It has a real authentic old time surrounding and Irish style atmosphere, with WONDERFUL staff as Dave the bartender was there to make you feel like your at home! As a matter of face, he is still there today! The owner is kind and vary friendly! And the place was busy most of the time with friendly people who love there sports!! Food is like a 5 star restaurant and the only place I loved to go while able to go anywhere else in or outside the academy! I am from the Great lakes in Minnesota and Benny's made me feel like I was seriously still at home! Love this pub and hope to one day travel back to visit! ❤️ Thanks Benny Haven for the GREATEST experience ever!
Spent an evening catching up with an old friend and Sean (the bartender) took great care of us! The kitchen was closed (food sold out hours before our arrival), but that didn't put a damper on the hospitality. If you like "old school" bars, you can't beat Benny Havens. Say "Hi" to Sean and get treated like family.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with kindness. The atmosphere is awesome, bartender's attitude was welcoming and we had a blast. Not to mention the food was beyond delicious, best tasting burger, fries and wings anywhere we have been. I highly recommend.
Benny Havens treats you like family. ALL of the staff are wonderful, drinks are reasonably priced, food is good. Best burgers & wings in town. And did I mention the staff? THE BEST.
I've been coming here since they opened in the early 80's. Our families have a long history. It's a cozy bar with friendly staff, and good pub food. It's a great place to watch a game with friends, and on non game days, it's quieter and you can catch up with a friend.
Finest bar in town. Great friends with all of the bartenders here. There’s a pool table, space for beer pong games, and even virtual bowling; so if you’re looking for entertainment on the side as well, this is the place to be.
We love Benny Havens in Highland Falls ... came first during my father's 75th reunion at West Point in May 2025, and have been back twice since. Love the burgers and love the atmosphere. Love how they make you feel at home.
My autistic son loves the food and friendly service everyone is welcome and treated with respect I love them as well
Not only was the food excellent, the portions were huge and gluten free options available- the owners were accommodating to our sizeable group including multiple service dogs. I cant thank them enough as it was a difficult day for us. If you are in Highland Falls, I highly recommend!
After a visit to West Point Museum, we walked across to Delizia's. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of pizza plus the rest of the men. The crust was crispy as opposed to doughy and the toppings were quite nice. Staff was very friendly. The inside could use a little spruce up to make it more inviting but other than that would recommend it for a quick bite.
My son attends West Point. We live in Colorado and for his 21st birthday we wanted to cater dinner for him and his teammates. Tony provided the perfect menu selection to feed 32 hungry males. It was in time and their was plenty! The team raved about how good it was! Highly recommend!
What Benny Havens has going for it is nothing. Meaning nothing special, no gimick, no polish, no flash. Benny Havens has grit and authenticity born of being, dare I say authentic. If anything stands out it is it is the name of the place and it's association with West Point and it's cadets that hold that name dear. The locals seem to hold this place dear and the owner holds true to those moorings. They have a simple lay out and regalia born of time, a little dirty, a little local and a lot friendly, Frank and welcoming. Beer, spirits, burgers and wings. That's it and that is all that is needed!
Local dive. Super friendly locals. Good beer. Decor is lacking. Pool table looks like it has around since West Point was founded. Loved the juke box.
Good local bar. It's exactly what you expect in a small town. Friendly service and fair priced drinks. Not sure how many shots the bartender had with customers, but whatever works.
Wife and I enjoyed our stop here while visiting from out of town. Wings were average but tasty. Cash only with an ATM machine located inside. Seemed like the place where locals would hang out and I could see it probably gets very busy when classes are in session. Didn't see any prices listed so check before you order. Service was good for the type of establishment. We were able to walk from a nearby motel.
Pizza is ok. We've ordered online multiple times and would show up to pick up the order and they never even started it. Clearly they have trouble keeping up with online orders, there's got to be a better system. Everything is very inconsistent all around. Ordered a deep dish pizza once and it was a dry Sicilian style pie. They even have a Sicilian pizza on the menu in addition to deep dish so you would think they were different, but they're the same. We would stop in here and there for a slice or pizza roll but their prices have gone up so much we don't go there anymore. $10+ for a chicken roll. Plus they never give you a receipt and most of the time when they ring you up the total they tell you doesn't seem to add up.. feels very sketchy because you never get itemized receipts or can see what they're charging you. I gave 2 stars because I do like their chicken dinners if I'm craving Italian food. With that said most of the menu is overpriced and it forced us to go to other places in the area instead.
Not a fan. Visited for the first time and ordered a slice of Sicilian and chicken bacon ranch pizza along with some garlic knots, and my total came out to $15.40 with card. The slices themselves were alright, but definitely not $9.95 for two slices good, since they were essentially reheated pizza that had been left out for who knows how long. Ordering two slices did come with a drink, but it hardly justified the cost. The garlic knots were pretty big in size, but I found them relatively bland and hard to chew/bite into since they were reheated as well. Overall, I think I would have had a better experience if I had one of their pizzas that were made to order, but I would steer clear of dining in.
Raw chicken. Server could care less and way over charged for the experience. Food menu has no prices on it, Obviously a locals only bar and we paid the price for invading their space in this cash only dive.
No frills local bar, I guess you could call it a dive. Seems like it could be a fun spot on a Friday night or during a game. We walked in on a Friday afternoon and the bartender/server was extremely unpleasant and rude. He clearly wasn't interested in working so we ended up leaving.
By far one of the worst experience I have dealt with in the past 5 years. I walked in yesterday around 10pm and the older white gentlemen with the white beard comes out and say he does not server credit and we don’t do TABS. I used it I be regular there. The place has totally gone down hill. Even the air is bad. Go 6 miles down the road. The bars in stony point get customer service and need hood customers.
I feel like I was at the range in Fort Leonard Wood in their restrooms🥲🥲. Ate cardboard chicken. Cash Only probably (tax evasion), it’s 2025 haha we not idiots, with no prices on what they call a menu. Price gouging for sure. I bet if I go back and order the exact same thing it would be a different price 😂😂😂
I asked for the buffalo chicken slice with marinara but no ranch. They gave me ranch but no marinara. I cannot stand half butted work where they are checked out and don’t care. The pizza is also bad. 0 stars.
Both the quality and portion size have sharply declined this year. Plenty of pizza shops in town go somewhere else
Avoid at all costs. While the pizza itself is decent, the delivery service and management are unacceptable. My order took four hours to arrive, and I was repeatedly told conflicting stories—first that it was already delivered, then that it was still on the way. The owner was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional, showing zero integrity or concern for customers. If you’re at USMA/West Point, do yourself a favor and choose any other pizza place. This establishment does not deserve your business.
Worst business and no ethic. Ordered pizza and did not get it for 2 hours. When I called they said it was already delivered. After more pressing they said they it is on the way and there was a lot of traffic due to the game which happened 5 hours ago. No apology. When asked for a discount they said they do not do business this way. No money then no food. Very little courtesy. Poor business acumen and ethic. Only in business because there is no competition.
Food is terrible!! Pasta was gummy and came in large clumps. Cheesesteak sandwich was dry and bread was stale. The owner is rude, sorry that we gave this business another chance. Online menu prices are different then what we where charged.
I only gave a star so that I can write a review. This place deserves 0 stars. I ordered a cold sub that contained mayo & lettuce. The sub was given to me hot & toasted. Mayonnaise and lettuce was warm and gross. I called and explained, hoping that they would simply remake my sandwich being that they messed up. The owner Tony told me he’d remake it but I would never be allowed to order from them again. I asked why being that THEY made the mistake his response was “it’s my business and I can do as I please” I was taken back to say the least. I told him that is very rude of him and asked for a refund. He said and I quote “it’s not the first time I’ve been told I’m rude, in fact I take pride in that” absolutely disgusting way to treat / speak to your customers!!! Especially when you made the mistake in giving me warm lettuce and mayonnaise on what should be a cold sub!! I left STARVING with no sandwich. Ive never been treated such a way as a paying customer. Absolutely disgusted.
SUPER SLOW SERVICE. Took several hours to get pizza delivered on a Tuesday night. Quality of pizza was ok at best.
Very disappointing, We ate here twice and probably will not again. The 1st time we ordered a white pizza . It was ok but not not like any other white pizzas that we had in NY (with the drops of ricotta cheese). The second time we got the margarita pizza and didn’t have much cheese. Who wants pizza without cheese?
