Very good customer service and great food

I had such a great visit at this restaurant! I was originally referred to their restaurant by a family friend who bought a box of samosas for takeout. So I had to come by and try it for myself! I ordered the butter chicken with a side of garlic naan and it was amazing!! Food was fresh, perfect temperature, and amazing flavor. You can tell they care about their guests and their dining experience. I loved eating here and will be coming back soon!

The food was delicious!! The veggie samosa alone was amazing, I could one hundred of them. The samosa chaat was also delicious, my first time trying that. The spice sneaks up on you! We had the chicken tikka masala, the chicken was juicy and the sauce was delicious too. Had that with rice and garlic naan, soo yummy! The staff were so kind and patient with our questions too! I always really appreciate that. We’ll be there again soon!

Dined inside and enjoyed the Saag Paneer and Chicken Biryani with a side of Plain Naan. Had to ask for some Yogurt as the dishes were a little too spicy even though the spice level was mild. The restaurant was clean and the service was extremely kind and professional. Great little place. You should give this eatery a try.

My family has been a long time customer of Sunlight, we've had catering done from them on many occasions when it was Old Sunlight and it used to be better, New Sunlight food quality has gone down drastically. I was not going to leave a negative review, but the restaurant needs to know that they have competition around them under 1 mile radius. Tonight I was very disappointed with the naan, they were burnt and very hard like tortilla chips. Family did not enjoy dinner at all and that matters to us, when we're trying to have a family dinner. I will start trying new places from now on.

20 mins ago i odered the kadhi pakora and rice. Rice are good but kadhi pakora is not authentic indian. its not looking like kadhi pakora and its tasteless

I ordered naan for our Christmas dinner for our church in Ceres Ca and this is what we received. This is just a few of them, the whole tray was like this. And when I called them to let them know about this, they put me on hold and never returned. And I called them several times after that and they wouldn't answer. Don't order anything from here. Spend your money somewhere else.

I ordered my phone through Uber Eats. Waited an hour and a half. Called multiple times. First time The driver said “yeah the driver is on his way”. So I waited patiently. Nothing. Called again. I was told it wasn’t my food that left the restaurant (never asked me for my name in the first call). Then the man said “we’re busy. You can cancel your order”. Who talks to customers this way? I ordered my food at 16:30 and it’s 17:59 and my food nowhere to be found. Worst customer service ever to say the least. I come to Modesto a lot for work and now they lost a customer for life! If you’re expecting good customer service you ain’t finding it here. What a shame. Edit: got my food at 18:10. COLD and uncooked chicken with someone’s hair. Nasty place!!

Ordered door dash from this place since it was 4.7 stars on DD. Got the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, rice and garlic naan... Everything was going well until I found a mini cockroach 🪳 in the butter chicken (see picture) I know it wasn't cheap, but I didn't think they'd throw the extra protein in for free. Very generous.

Staff is friendly, but just got tandori fish, now you can take a look, they charge $16.50 for these pieces and they are too much burnt also. Before it was good, but i am really disappointed today.

At first, they questioned my honesty and an hour later they reheated the same spoiled food and served it to me. I complained once again and they offered no explanation or refund. The food I received was flavorless and tasted old. Reading other reviews, I can see others feel the same way. I will not be going here again. Despicable!

Extremely disappointed with this order. I ordered gol gappa for dine-out, but the pani and puris were delivered together in a single box, making it completely soggy and inedible. When I called, the response was simply that “this is how pani poori is served,” which is unacceptable. The wraps were equally disappointing — the roti was stale, cold, and not even heated properly. Overall, a terrible experience. I will not be ordering from here again.
