Talk about Hidden Gem this place right here is a must go their cooks are out of this world they're amazing. tasty entrees are the best around I had the chilaquiles and let me tell you they are amazing.

Food was fresh and came out fast! They explained food items very well and the staff were friendly. Definitely recommend this place to people who are traveling.

I highly recommend the Short Rib Birria Benedict! Their Lavazza coffee is delicious as well with free refills (of course) for the $5 you pay. Their side of green salsa is an extra 75 cents but it complemented the meal perfectly!

We came here for lunch and the service, food, and overall atmosphere was great. We ordered the steak and eggs as well as the chicken and waffles and I would definitely say that price was very fair when considering the portion size and quallty. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a breakfast or brunch meal.

Everything about this place was on point. I was only disappointed that my appetite prevented me from trying out more delicious dishes. The chilequiles were top-notch.

Come down from sacramento and had breakfast the food was delicious. Also got portions. The waitress was very friendly. Spoke Spanish, and was very attentive They’re Coffee is the best. We definitely be back. Just fyi they do charge almost $4 for egg whites which I was not told until I saw the bill which is fine just so you know ahead of time.

We had a great breakfast here in a beautiful warm sunny So Cal Wednesday morning. The staff is too notch and the food is great! As the other reviews indicate, there is a sister restaurant across the parking lot. But this place is a gem. The staff are so attentive to details and helpful to all the tables whether it is their table or not. We didn't try the coffees because we brought our own. But the coffee they serve is Lavazza and smelled terrific across the patio. We will be back and I'm looking forward to an even better experience.

Came here in a Monday morning around 9:15 and was seated right away. We sat outside, it was nice and warm. Ordered some coffees, the short rib benny and the chicken katsu waffle. Both were delicious. The short rib was excellent. Very satisfying breakfast. The vibes were very chill.

Food was great. I got the Pbbbj (Peanut Butter Banana Bacon Sandwich served in French toast style bread). Very unique. Still very tasty. I also had the Shrimp and Grits. Very Delicious. Latin flavors gave it a bright refreshing flavor then usual versions. We also had 3 kids with us and each of them were able to find something tasty off the kids menu. We sat outside. They have a nice patio. Great for a beautiful day.

Food was delicious and full of flavor! It all came out quickly once the 7 of us were seated. Definitely reserve your spot in line ahead of time so you don’t have to wait at the restaurant as it was about 50 minutes before we were seated. Worth the wait!

Hidden breakfast joint that serves great dishes. The place is small but has a great outdoor dining to accommodate more guests. Parking is plenty also as it is shared by other establishments around. The servers are friendly and will recommend famous items on their menu. Food is like home made with a great presentation.

The service was very fast and the waiter was kind. The food was very delicious, I got the Belgian waffles with Nutella, strawberries and whip cream, mind blowing. My father got the chile verde omelette I believe with a single pancake and said it was good. We both got waters and I also got a vanilla latte which was delicious and perfectly sweet. We both agreed that be our new breakfast spot since we noticed that dogs were allowed on the outdoor sitting area, and we have a pup at home.

It was crowded, still, and had to wait over 1/2 hour, longer than we would have if we didn't bring our dog because there were tables inside, but everyone wanted to eat outside because it was such a beautiful Sunday:) All our food was tasty, the servers and bussers and everyone that came to our table were great, and reasonable prices considering the generous portion sizes. The bonus, as always for my reviews, is that I can bring my dog and not leave her at home! We were the only ones that brought our dog there on the patio while we were there, but our server brought her a bowl of water, how sweet! When I looked up this place, I did see a comment on the questions area, that someone brought their dog to eat here, so that's why we came here initially, and that's why we'll be back! Helpful information like that being passed around is priceless!

They have a pretty extensive menu with a few twists on common breakfast food. My Birria Omelet was amazing and the Chicken and Waffles were excellent. Service was really good. Definitely will come back the next time I visit

I am so happy there is a new breakfast spot in Cerritos. Ambiance: they have cafe style seating inside but it always feels a bit hectic when we dine inside. They have gorgeous outside patio seating. They also have heaters set up so you don’t feel cold even if the weather is cold. Food: the food here is really good. It’s the best avocado toast I’ve ever had. They have an extra spice and flavor to it that I don’t think I’ve ever had at any other place. The avocados also tasted fresh. They also have fresh squeezed orange juice and I highly recommend you try it out. Service: Everyone was very friendly and helpful when we had questions about food orders. Well I came across this diamond 💎 in rough 10 minutes from home 😊 Sunny on South cafe food menu is spectacular so many different options to choose from outstanding 😉 We had quite a time choosing with the big selection they have. I had a delicious Belgian Waffle 🧇 and I ordered Egg whites scrambled, hash browns, and Portuguese sausage it was so flavorful and delicious 😋 My husband went for the Biscuits and Gravy breakfast 🧇 with two eggs 🍳 over medium, bacon 🥓 hash browns and the gravy had a little bang too it so mouthwatering. Great portions given and the staff was delightfully friendly. Our waitress was very polite and very knowledgeable about the food menu which was very helpful. The cafe is one of those hole in wall kinda places that people say “Hey we found a Diamond in the Rough 💎” This is a must try Cafe with a Southern Cuban mix which makes the food so flavorful and delicious and the ambiance is warm and friendly. We will definitely be back to explore that delicious huge menu you have for sure 😉👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I went here for the first time for a waffle and was more than happy with the Katsu chicken and waffle. It was wonderful from presentation to flavor. The sweet and savory blended well, the chicken was nicely seasoned and crispy the waffle was perfect. I loved the slight spice in the syrup. I'll be back to try other options.

It’s your American breakfast with an extra flare, the corn beef is sliced fresh and not from a can. It was moist, tender and flavorful. The chili verde was soooo good, slight tang, but very smooth overall. The atmosphere was nice, I liked how they decorated. Service was fast and friendly, but our server was slightly forgetful so we had to wait for the sugar for her coffee and I never received the jelly for the toast.

The food was good, good portions. It's a small restaurant, and we had to wait longer because we were a group of 6 people. Smaller groups sat sooner.

We were looking for a breakfast/brunch place and happened upon sunny on South. It is a nice little establishment with friendly staff. The food is quite delicious if a bid on the expensive side. We went for brunch and spent over $60 for two of us.

I was turned onto this breakfast spot from my coworkers and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the fried French toast, which was absolutely amazing.

Breakfast outside on the patio,was wonderful. Service was on point,and I had the hash. Looking forward to trying other goodies there.

This item included corned beef, diced potatoes, a couple of eggs, and a choice of bread. I wasn't as satisfied with the hash as my wife was with her meal. The potato chunks were a little large. The corned beef was a bit stingy and not prepared in a way that I could consider it hash. If you are a fan of corned beef hash, I suggest that you skip this dish. Both items were priced under $20. We found the service to be fairly good. We were able to order in a reasonable amount of time, and our food arrived in a timely manner. However, it took some time to get boxes for our leftovers and the check. Overall, we would eat here again, but it might not be our first choice.

Was a long 45 minute wait for my party of 2, but for the food it was worth it though service was lacking. Maybe it was because we only wanted water with our meal since we already enjoyed coffee elsewhere, but our server never came to check on us after taking our order, she even brought our check early, like really early, only minutes after I have just taken my first bite of food as if to say get out. I noticed our server was being nicer and more attentive to larger groups around us, but still, I didn't appreciate the lack of service. Luckily, the food was full of flavor and I especially enjoyed the corned beef benedicts. The smashburger though it tasted good was a lie, just a regular unsmashed patty. I posted a video showing the patty thickness which came out to be nearly as thick as all four prongs on a fork. Overall, I would only recommend this place for the good eats, but there can be a long wait and a lack of service. Sadly for this reason I can't give more than 3 stars. Maybe service will be different on my next visit.

We arrived today, 10/24/2025, around 8:00–8:30. We waited more than 20 minutes to be attended to, and they didn’t even bring us water. Other customers who arrived after us were helped much faster. The service is really bad I’ve been here before, but after this, I’m not coming back.

I tried to dine here today around 2:30 PM after calling twice with no answer. When I arrived, the inside of the restaurant had a strong musty, hot smell and was completely empty, which felt unwelcoming. There were a few people dining out on the patio, so we politely asked the hostess if we could sit outside instead. Before she could respond, another staff member (a heavier-set woman) interrupted and abruptly told us the patio was closing and we had to sit inside—even though others were still actively eating out there. The way it was handled felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive. Also worth noting: that same woman, along with another staff member, was seated at a table openly counting cash. I personally don’t think it’s professional to handle money like that in front of customers during business hours. It left a poor impression and made the overall experience feel disorganized and unprofessional. We ended up leaving without dining. Disappointed overall.
