I would like to rate half stars. Should be 4.5 stars. Just a couple things, but overall great experience. The server and host was very pleasant. Mostly clean, I had to ask the host to wipe the seat down. Food came out at reasonable time, pretty quick. Fish and chips was good, nice and crispy. The kids flat bread was tasty, but my little one had a bit of a issue with it being not as crispy as she would like. Wagyu burger was prefectly cooked, soft, and had a butter bun. The miso and orange salmon was also good, loved the rice and sauce around it. I wouldn't recommend the cherry pork loin, it was not to my peticular liking. The server removed it, since I could not eat it. Overall great experience.

Carissa was very courteous and took great detail in checking in with us. The place was very busy but she was on top of all requests. We ended the meal with the Whiskey Apple Crumble and all I can say is OMG! 🤪

Fall menu was amazing could not fault Two guys and one lady the pork- black cherry barbecue pork waa a huge meal and delicious The shrimp and squash linguine was so delicious and nice medium size and filling The wagyu beef and prosciutto burger was one of the best ever tasted!!! Tasia our waitress was amazing 😘 For Starters try the bacon wrapped medjool dates - they were were so yummy Can not fault this place Cocktails pear martini, passion fruit mojito both were so yummy

High quality pub food from the land and sea. Enjoy delicious grub while watching your favorite college or national league game!

First time here and I love the ambiance of this place! Food is good, affordable, and FRESH. Our server, AJ, was attentive, kind, and provided great service for our family. Will definitely be back!

We had an amazing experience! Belle was our waitress and she was very professional and friendly. The food was excellent and have no complaints at all. It's was really delicious and worth the price :) We will be coming back again. 5 out of 5!

As a foodie and also someone who can throw down in the kitchen. I give this place two thumbs up. I ordered the Chipotle macaroni and cheese and then I add a piece of fried chicken to it. I order the spicy mango margarita.

Excellent food. The greeting, was friendly. The seating for our reservation was timely. We sat outside. The atmosphere easy to talk and not loud. TVs outside but not intrusive. Our server Tori was friendly, helpful and offered suggestions. She took our order quickly and brought our food and drink with a smile. Attentive through meal. Ahi poke bowl was delicious and the flavors go so well together. My spouse got the pepperjack jalapeño burger and he said it was very good. Cooked perfectly. I would definitely come back to try more items in the drink and food menu.

This was a great spot for lunch. When we got here we were sat immediately. We chose to sit outside and the atmosphere was good. The drinks were great the food was tasty. We will definitely come back. The Lion Lemonade was very good!

Came in for St. Patrick’s and got the beer braised corned beef special. Really tender and tasty. Liz was our server and the service was great and food came out fast. Will definitely come back again soon.

Sami was wonderful - efficient, polite and accommodating! Had a full meal, but forgot to take a photo. I was hungry!

Sami was one of the best waitresses I’ve had in a very long time. Not only was she super friendly, but she was absolutely amazing with the service. She always brought us new glasses of our drinks without even asking for refills. Plus she was super funny. If you go here, I’d ask for her as your waitress.

Everything was good. The dates, which were decent is why I rated the food a 4. I would've gone 4.5. The cheese curds and spin dip....really nice. Had a smoked old fashioned. It was very nice too!!! Alexandra was on point. Gracious and engaging. She made great recommendations. First time here and was well worth it.

Highly recommend this place if your in the Chandler area. Great food, great atmosphere and absolutely AMAZING service. Sami was my waitress and I give her an A+. Come in and ask for her and you won't be disappointed.

Food was delicious with plentiful portions. Our server Cole was pleasant and efficient. The only negative is that the restaurant is always freezing cold. We say on the patio, but walking through the restaurant, it was like an icebox.

My wife and I visited this place for the first time after our networking event. The service here was exceptional. Courtney and Tejah are fantastic servers. If you get to meet either of these two women, you’re in good hands. The food is amazing. Everything is made in-house, and there’s no frozen food here.

12/28 Went back and bartender Drew served us this time. It wasn’t too busy, so he made us custom drinks tailored to our likes and dislikes and they were great! Top tier service. 12/26 Sat at the bar with my mother and the bartender Brittany was very nice! My vertically challenged Mom loved that the bar had a ledge underneath so she didn’t have to dangle her feet. We come here whenever we’re in town. 👍

Thirsty Lion Chandler hosted our holiday party this year and it was a great experience. The food was good and the area for us was perfect. Lauren and Tatum took care of our party and they were awesome. They were friendly, timely, and overall provided amazing service. We would definitely consider coming back for future company events.

The food has always been good. Our server, Kylie, is awesome. Super friendly & on the ball. We've been in many times with a group & I can't remember her ever making a mistake. We keep coming back because we know she'll take care of us!

Cassie was absolutely amazing! It was her first time serving at Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill, and you would never have known she handled everything with so much confidence and kindness. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. And the best part? She brought me extra ranch without hesitation because she saw how much I loved it. That small detail made the experience feel so personal and thoughtful. Cassie truly went above and beyond. If this was her first shift serving, she is going to be incredible. Highly recommend asking for her! 👏✨

This is one of our "go to" dining spots. Consistently good food and a super friendly/helpful staff. We have been going since they opened just before Covid hit. Love their fish and chips, Szechuan Orange chicken and chicken sliders. The fried cauliflower is the bomb. Love some of the seasonal specials, too

We had an amazing experience at Thirsty Lion thanks to Carissa! My cousin and his wife were visiting from Nebraska and we had some allergy concerns. Carissa went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable. She checked on the food preparation details and answered all our questions with care and professionalism. Her friendly attitude and attention to detail truly made our visit stress free and enjoyable.

We walked in as a party of nine, the kind of group that can quietly derail a night if it’s not handled right. Courtney was our server, and from the start she had the room under control. Warm, sharp, unflappable. Multiple bills, different pacing, different personalities — none of it rattled her. She made it feel effortless, which is the whole point. Good service isn’t loud. It just works. The menu knows what it’s doing. The Kung Pao chicken delivers real heat and balance — not a gimmick, not an afterthought. The Mediterranean bowl is clean, confident, and composed — every ingredient pulling its weight. The ramen is rich and grounding, the kind of dish you don’t rush. The bacon-wrapped dates disappear faster than they should — sweet, smoky, indulgent. And the hot honey sausage pizza understands contrast: heat, sweetness, and savor working together instead of competing. Then there’s the drink that seals the deal. The smoked Old Fashioned with Elijah Craig isn’t there to show off. It’s there to remind you why classics last. Strong, balanced, a little dramatic — but only because it earns it. Thirsty Lion knows its audience. It delivers substance without pretense and polish without ego. And with someone like Courtney running point, you don’t just have a good meal — you have a good night. That’s the difference.

We visited the Thirsty Lion on 1/29/26 and had an absolutely amazing and kind waiter! We sat out on the patio in the afternoon and it was a quiet and lovely atmosphere! Our server was so enthusiastic and bubbly and I wish I knew her name so I could shout her out! Great experience!

The Thirsty Lion at the Chandler, AZ location was a phenomenal experience! Reservation service was made very simple to do. Great customer service by our server Carissa, ensured to always check in on us throughout our dining experience. The food tasted amazing and the prices definitely match the serving sizes!

Service and food was great! We had the calamari app and the gochujang pork and spicy mac n cheese for mains. We really enjoyed our meal! I tried an old fashioned and it held up to some of my favourite of those that I’ve had. Kenzie was our server and did a great job! Very friendly and hospitable!

This was our first time at Thirsty Lion, we came for brunch and had an amazing experience. Katrina was our server, she had a very welcoming personality and was fun to interact with, we weren’t sure what to order she had great recommendations and was very familiar with what was delicious. Cocktails were also very good! We will be coming back!

The food was excellent both times we came. The service however was lacking both times. We will probably give it another try.

I came to Thirsty Lion for lunch. There are lots of parking lots in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is spacious and has patios. We sat in a comfortable booth. The server lady was a very pleasant person with a cute smile. We ordered IPA Beer Battered Fish & Chips and Ahi Poke Bowl. Fish was so good but not coleslaw. And Ahi poke was so delicious. I'd like to come here again.

Good food with a diverse menu and flavors. Went for dinner and the cocktails were excellent and dinner was delicious with fresh ingredients and good sized portions for the cost. The place was lively and modern and the food came out quickly. A good option for dinner with friends and groups.

Good food and drinks. Good service by Carrisa. The flatbread could do with a few more tomatoes so it's not so dry. The mac and cheese with chicken was amazing. Spicy mango margaritas were great, the mojito was okay.

We visited Thirsty Lion to celebrate a friend’s promotion with a party of 12. Props to the host team—our reservation was honored and seating was ready when we arrived, which made a strong first impression. Once seated, service took a while to ramp up. Drinks and appetizers were delayed, and check-ins lagged throughout the meal. Our server, Lauren, was friendly and hustling, but she seemed to be covering multiple tables. For a group this size, we expected a second server or visible support from management to keep things moving. The food overall was okay—mostly straightforward American fare. I ordered the smoked pork ramen; it was fine and warming, but nothing that stood out. Given the slower pacing, the experience felt more stressful than celebratory, even though Lauren did her best under the circumstances. Bottom line: Nice atmosphere and organized seating, but understaffing affected service for a large party. We’d consider returning for casual drinks/bites, and we hope larger groups get additional support so servers like Lauren aren’t set up to struggle.

A group of 12 of us had a reservation for a Saturday evening. The employees were very nice but they seem short staffed. Service was very slow. It seems like this restaurant needs a better system to handle their peak busy times. I canceled my second drink because it was taking so long to come out. The manager came by and asked me how things were going. I told him the service was very slow and that is why I was canceling my drink. He didn't say anything really which surprised me. I ordered the spicy fried chicken sandwich. It was not spicy. The menu listed it as coming with dill pickles and when I received it there were no dill pickles. I asked for dill pickles and they brought them to me. I was very disappointed with the lack of service for the prices they are charging in this restaurant. This restaurant is nothing special and with the lack of service and concern I will not be returning. I do not recommend this restaurant. Take your hard earned money elsewhere and get the service you deserve.

Arrived on Saturday 1/31 for my son's birthday, small party of 4. Male host greeted us after 5 minutes; his greeting was unusual for an eatung establishment "What can I get for you?". He just seemed uninterested, as if we took him away from another more interesting task, a game on TV maybe? The food was ok, nothing to write home about, standard bar food. The two star atmosphere is a direct result of the unclean nature of the dining area. How long tables went unbussed really stood out. Admittedly, we were there likely after Saturday rush, arriving about 1:30 pm. The place did not seem busy, there were many open tables. Multiple tables next to us went our entire stay (over an hour) unbussed, very unsightly and off-putting. We saw one person clearing tables in the patio area. In our area nothing, we were by the back wall liquor cage display; one female host did start to clear one table, stopping midway for some reason. Meanwhile, the male host wondered about the dining area, not intent to help, odd. As for our server, she was great. Friendly, helpful, and suggested a few items to try. The food was ok, nothing to write home about, standard bar food. Chicken sliders and Reuben were slightly soggy likely from undrained toppings when plated. Birthday Sunday was wonderful, a bright spot on the visit. Maybe we stopped after the place got blitzed, and was in recovery mode - just did not feel like that though. Maybe we stop another time for a second impression, but this time the table service was great; everything else mediocre and an unsightly mess.

If you are using Uber Eats or Door Dash - call the restaurant to ensure they are completing your order. Fish and chips without chips is just Fish. The offer was for me to stop by and pick up the missing fries - which was a stupid idea; why use Uber? Hopefully, someone will remind the restaurant that they are in the business of getting orders right the first time.
