Pros: Good food, great flavor, comfy dining room, and full bar. Cons: Wait can be long if ordering takeout during pandemic but well worth it. Just order in advance. Highly recommend if you're in the Chatham area and looking for authentic Jamaican food. The oxtail is the best I've had.

When I was growing my up one of neighbors was from Jamaica and used to make curry goat, ox tail, orange roughy, plantains and other goodies. It was so delicious and a wonderful introduction to a style of food I otherwise may have never tried. 30 years later I found a place that has brought back this wonderful delight. The food is fantastic with a true carribean flavor. I've had 3 to go orders in the past 2 weeks and each one has been as good as the last. I highly recommend you give it a try. P.S.the Curry Goat is delicious, give it a try.

Great food in a colorful dining room.

The most elegant Caribbean restaurant on Cape Cod. Authentic taste. Great service. Wish I lived closer to Chatham to enjoy more frequent visits.

The pumpkin and beef soup is really tasty. Follow that with the fried cod and vegetable medley and you will leave happy! Ask for our waitress who was Tammie (her formal name is Tamara). Great service with a ton of personality! She co-owns the place with her chef partner and also painted the interior along with all the colorful artwork.

Love this place. Colleen the bartender is the best. Long time Chatham bartender. Food is great. Authentic Jamaican jerk and the burgers are the best u can get around. They have great Italian pasta dishes as well.

We went on Monday and we could not have had a nicer time. The service was warm and excellent. The food was delicious. Great jerk shrimp, plantains and conch fritters. Such a great spot and very family friendly!

Very flavorful food and extremely warm and excellent service highlight this restaurant in a casual and quiet atmosphere with background reggae music. We had a wonderful experience! So many good choices on the menu!

Every single thing we ordered was so delicious and perfectly portioned. I couldn’t say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend the crab cakes. Waitress was absolutely lovely as well.

What a fantastic find off the beaten path! We had a group of 11 and there was no problem with getting a table. The food is spectacular!

In addition to the regular menu, there are specials for lunch and dinner. We went for lunch this time and I had the ribs starter which came with corn bread and Asian salad - delicious. They also brought out a sampling of their signature pumpkin soup while we waited for our order. We took home carrot cake that was amazing!

Excellent food all around. Highly recommend this restaurant. Always a good sign when the chef offers free samples of menu options during our course.

We had lunch here today and everything was delicious. Jerk chicken, lemon shrimp, salad, plantains…all wonderful. We will absolutely return!

It was empty when we came so we were nervous but it absolutely exceeded expectations! Thanks for such a wonderful meal!

Stopped in to get a tuna wrap, and it was super yummy along with the Jamaican slaw. We also had a complementary taste of their beef and pumpkin soup, which was also delicious. Looking forward to coming back to try a sit down meal.

I selected this place in part because of the proximity to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Arrived at 11:30 am on a Monday wet from our ride, so we sat outside on the intimate patio. I think the owner was the one serving us and she was a delight!! It must be slower during the week because she only had two other tables. She makes the best bloody Mary’s around. I also ordered the jerk chicken quesadilla and it was loaded with avocado and other goodies. My husband had the grilled chicken sandwich (also good, but he missed out on the Caribbean flare of this place). She had us sample her homemade beef and pumpkin soup (delicious and hearty btw) just to get our opinion. I would definitely return over and over again.

The food was phenomenal. The beef and carrot soup, the polenta crispy sticks with pesto dip, the jerk chicken quesadilla… so delicious. Barbara was the best server I’ve ever had. She was friendly and super helpful when it came to giving tips around the area. Will definitely return. Do yourself a favor and don’t miss out on this spot. So warm and welcoming.

I’ve been hearing good things about Branches Grill & Cafe since they opened 4 years ago, and finally ate there today. This chef is the real deal. Everyone at our table raved about their meal… uniquely and perfectly spiced and cooked… varied and unusual menu, great ambiance…. This was a 22 on a scale of 1-10. Everything was perfect, including the pineapple salsa and the complimentary beef and pumpkin soup…. I had the jerk chicken quesadillas, which I will have again, after I’ve tasted the other dozen menu items that sound fabulous. Best new restaurant I have been to in years..

Curried goat! Oxtail! Best restaurant meal I've ever had on the Cape.

Wow! I love this place especially when you are from the Caribbean and looking for great Caribbean/Jamaican food this is the place! In fact if you just love good food, this is the place! EVERYTHING is on point the music playing in the background the rum punch extra strong...the waitress she was awesome so sweet, the food was amazing! I will surely come back again when I'm in the area.

Everything we had was absolutely delicious - lemon pepper shrimp, oxtails, jerk chicken wings, rice and beans, vegetable medley, and pumpkin beef soup!! We are so glad we found this place. The atmosphere has a genuine Caribbean vibe with the reggae music and colorful decor. The gentleman that waited on us was extremely friendly and polite. The only downside is - we don't live nearby in order to revisit soon.

Amazing experience we are from out of town took a drive and was recommended this place which did not disappoint the owner told us later on he wasn't even open yet but because of his hospitality he let us in, everything was so great from the conch soup to the chicken and rice and also the beef patties with cheese .. overall great experience.. Will go back any time i find myself in Chatham....

Amazing meal! Food - top notch. Service - top notch 👌. Let me sum up my experience as I showed up at the end of the night. "I'm sorry sir, but we ran out of muscles, would it be ok if we included lobster with your meal?" Just wow, a hidden gem!

Fantastic Caribbean and modern American fare. Wife had the Cuban pulled pork sandwich. I had the turkey club (turkey smoked in house with great jerk/smoke flavor). Super friendly staff. Very clean. Nice place for a change of pace on Cape, and a welcome reprieve from the usual Chatham vibe and cuisine.

We showed up at Branches right before they opened with our friends who live on the Cape. They had never eaten here before. Both couples split a jerk chicken dish along with a Caesar salad. Melissa was our server. From the service to the food this was a top notch experience. The jerk chicken and salad were delicious and Melissa did a great job! I highly recommend you give it a try.

The idea of Jamaican food on the Cape sounded unusual and fabulous to us. We stopped in in the mid afternoon to take a peek at the restaurant, met delightful owner/chef Ian, snacked on a beef patty, and vowed to come back later for dinner, having already discussed with Ian what we would eat. We returned at 5, and sat at the bar, where we were very well cared for by Branches’ wonderful bartender, Colleen (we each had a glass of Ian’s tasty Jamaican rum punch). Our meal started with a cup of outstanding beef & pumpkin soup, and was followed by a tasty conch fritter appetizer. Our main meals, the jerk chicken and steamed fish (red snapper) were flavorful, plentiful — absolutely scrumptious! We can’t wait to come back here, what a find!

Amazing food, sweet staff. We got the curried goat, the oxtail and the jerk chicken and it was all amazing. We even got to try the pumpkin beef soup that was a great, warm start. Truly the best curried goat i’ve had, and the best fried plantains! I typically dont love them, but here they were amazing.

It is not quite Jamaica, but the food certainly speaks of that island! We indulged in Pain Killers with the conch critters, followed by the goat curry and the fried chicken sandwich and a side of plantains. We got a complimentary cup of the beef and pumpkin soup which was perfect for such a cold day.

My wife and I had dinner at Branches for the first time and it was a wonderful experience. We enjoy Jamaican food and this was an authentic experience. The staff is really friendly and attentive, asking if we had any allergies or dietary concerns. There were so many good choices on the menu, hard to choose. We were even offered samples of an autumn soup to try which was so good my wife ordered a cup. The place was such a nice surprise, it is worth stopping. It's not on main street but not far from the main town, close to some other places like 3 Fins coffee and the Chatham market. Highly recommend Branches! Enjoy.

We have eaten here a few times now and you can just taste that everything is cooked with personal attention and care and love. The menu is varied and broad but each dish shows skill and incredible flavor. The feel as you enter and order is also very homey, but with professional service. It is hard to describe it honestly; don't miss this hidden unusual spot.

We brought the whole family and everyone loved their food. The service was kind and friendly and everything we ordered was delicious. From the curried shrimp special to the wings, jerk chicken, curried goat and oxtail. It was a true feast! I highly recommend!!

Love Jamaican food!! Best Jamaican I have ever had since I’ve been on the island! Our waitress was spectacular and the cook knows his food!! Will be a yearly stop next year when we are on the cape.

My gf and I had the crab cakes, pulled pork Mac & cheese, wings (buffalo & Jerk) and they were all 10/10 excellent! Lovely waitress and outside seating made for a fantastic experience! Our best meal in Cape Cod yet 👏🏼🔥 thank you Branches! 🇯🇲

This place is small so we sat outside bc it was a nice night. They had one waitress and one hostess. The hostess actually came out to take our drink and food order after 20 mins of waiting. We ordered jerk chicken and curry goat. Our food came out 35 mins later and while the curry goat was good the jerk chicken was over cooked and dry. The hostess came back to check on us and I told her the chicken was dry and I sent it back. At this point it was already over an hour of us being there. She asked if I wanted something else and I said no so she took the food away. About 5 mins later the waitress comes out with our check and says someone told her to give it to us. Mind you, my friend is still eating. So I took the check inside and asked for the owner. He came over and I told him what happened. He said he told the waitress to take the chicken off the bill, not come bring us the bill. Then he asked what happened with the food. I told him the chicken was over cooked and dry. He apologized and asked if I liked shrimp, I said yes and he said I'm going to take care of you and it won't be long. About 10 mins later he brought out a plate with some big jerk shrimps, veggies and rice. It was delicious! After I was done eating we told the waitress we were done and asked for the check. She went in then came back out and said the dinner was on the house. She apologized again and I left her a nice tip. I appreciate how the owner handled the situation and rectified it.

You can't go wrong with Branches! The food is tasty, the atmosphere inviting and service very friendly and fast!

Great menu and service. Jerk chicken was dry. Plantains were wonderful. Salsa was great, slaw was good. Rice and beans were boring and dry.
