I just want to say this place Buca’s is verry good, the food was out of this world from the bread to the main coarse every bite was filled of flavor. I had ordered the veal herb crusted and it was best peace of veal I had ever had, and let’s not forget about the excellent service I had the waiter Nina and she was amazing. Thank you for excellent night I will be back .

Hesitant to make this restaurant more popular than it is, but it deserves all the stars! Teresa is an excellent server with attention to detail! You didn’t have to ask her twice. Also the busboys were very attentive and helpful. Delicious food, large portions, and great drinks. We had the special blu-cello drink (perfect for summer). I enjoyed the pork chop - was very juicy. Also our table ordered the grilled veal chop and the seafood pasta dish, both of which were delicious. Seafood pasta was loaded with fish and other offerings, enough for a second meal to go. Even though we couldn’t get inside seating, the outdoor space was still lovely with a lamp heater for each table. Will be back!

You could point your finger anywhere on the menu to choose your meal and you'd come up with something good. Amazing meal. Great service. Great place for special meal.

My husband and I were there for the first time on a Tuesday night for my birthday, the ambiance was excellent! The server was wonderful and very patient with me considering I'm a very picky eater. She definitely made my night feel special and I got everything I wanted and the way I wanted it. Thank you for your service and I promise not to be as difficult the next time we return. Thank's again for a lovely evening 😊

Let me start off by saying that I did not make a reservation to this restaurant because I’m not from the area and did not know how popular it was, however, the staff manager was more than welcoming and made sure to find a spot for my girlfriend and I on her birthday. Although it was a very busy night the ambience is romantic, intimate and quiet for the most part, the staff was very attentive and service was relatively fast and friendly. The food here was very flavorful, from the bruschetta appetizer we had, to the chicken parmigiana and the bone-in rib eye, and the special pound cake dessert at the end. In other words I had an amazing experience here with my girlfriend on her birthday and would like to commend the staff for making it possible. I would definitely recommend anyone to have a nice dinner here with their loved one.

Bucas is a great place for delicious Italian food, topped off with great drinks and a friendly staff. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, especially in the winter. It's on the pricey side, but it is worth it--especially for a special occasion.

Last night we went to Buca’s and had a fabulous experience. I would consider this to be one of the best restaurants we have on Cape. Our server, Omari, was excellent—so attentive and pleasant. The menu was intensive and included multiple delicious sounded specials for the evening. We had fun over ordering starting with incredible Aransini balls with lobster in a vodka sauce, Burratta, garlic bread and mussels in a spicy tomato sauce. We also shared a romaine salad that had a very special dressing and was grilled. All apps were perfectly prepared and delicious. Following the apps, we had the shrimp scampi, Gorgonzola in a cream sauce with pappardelle and chicken parm. Everything was wonderful, especially the chicken parm. The wine list was very extensive as well. Lastly we barely had room but managed to finish with the house special dessert (chocolate raspberry torte) and the dessert sampler. We also had the chocolate martini and Italian wedding cake martini. Surprise surprise, all was delicious too. Truly. Also, everything was perfectly paced, we never felt rushed. If you’re looking for a wonderful fine dining experience from start to finish, this is the place.

If I could give 6 stars out of 5, I would. It's been a while since I've been back to Buca, but wow what an amazing meal I had here with my family. I was so hungry that we ordered a ton of food so I'm glad I got to try so much. My favorites of the evening were our 3 main courses: the bolognese, the merluzzo, and the saltimbocca. Everything tasted really different from each other and were all so delicious. I would order any of them again in a heartbeat. The bolognese sauce was rich with flavor but even as I was getting full, I felt like I could have kept eating more and more. The merluzzo (cod with papardelle) was extremely light, and combined with the pasta and the tomatoes made for an excellent bite. The saltimbocca was the perfect amount of salty with the veal and the sauce it came with (of course, also with pasta). We ordered the arancini and cheesy bread to start, as well as the insalata di rockett salad. I loved the arancini (it had lobster in it!)—very crispy and I could not get enough of that vodka tomato cream sauce with it. The cheesy bread was also everything I could have asked for and more. The salad however, was the true star. The lemon basil dressing it comes with is addictive. We asked for the recipe, but unfortunately the chef wouldn't give it out—they only gave the ingredients. Nonetheless, I would definitely order it again. So in short, an amazing meal. No wonder it is so difficult to get into this restaurant. I hope to come back again this summer!

I liked how cozy this place was. The server was so kind and friendly. She didn’t mind my indecisive self when tasting and changing my wine order. Liked the little neck clams in my pasta.

Outstanding food, service and ambiance. Worth a trip to the Cape, it's that good. Deeply crusted bread comes to the table, to dip in a fruity, spicy olive oil. Our starters were a grilled romaine salad, and best ever fried calamari. The server brought extra plates as sharing is expected - who could keep those appetizers to themselves? First entree - Roasted cod is dressed with crushed pistachios and served over pappardelle. Actually the dish is way more detailed, as this is a chef driven restaurant. There's little fresh peas, parmasan and blistered little tomatoes. Very pretty and yummy. The second entree was the scallop special, over pappardelle in a cream sauce. This was the most generous serving of scallops we've ever had anywhere. It made me wonder - we shared with the owner that we came on the recommendation of a very knowledgeable, sophisticated friend who knows good living and has a house in town. Did I name drop and get special treatment? No, I peeked at other tables and their plates were as exuberant. Some details - menu pricing is moderate and more than fair, there's plenty of choice for vegetarians, gluten-free diners, and children. There's parking, including handicapped spaces, and the restaurant itself is accessible. Reservations are by phone and judging how busy it was, highly recommended. What a great time!

We absolutely loved our experience at Buca. Our waitress and the staff were incredibly friendly. They have a great selection of pastas, something for everyone. We had the veal chop served over pappardelle, and the shrimp and sausage with pappardelle in a spicy marinara. Both dishes were amazing. Really nice, chic atmosphere inside. And for dessert we finished up with some raspberry sorbet and cappuccino gelato. Excellent selection of cocktails and beers.

My boyfriend and I were guests of good friends of ours. My first time eating in but they'd been there many times, and for good reason. I had the veal parmigiana and it was the best I'd ever had, anywhere. He had the eggplant, also to die for. Parking can be challenging and you'll often need a reservation, but do all you can to eat here. The wait staff are so attentive, too, knowledgeable and unforgettable. You won't regret it!

The service was impeccable, the staff were top notch and the food can not be spoken highly enough. It has been awhile since I have had really good Italian food that was fresh, seafood and pork were perfectly cooked. The dessert menu is all amazing. Be sure to order coffee as well. I can not recommend this place enough. We had a party of eight, including kids. Everyone had eaten all of the food they could eat.

Some of the best food on Cape. Never disappoints! I come for the excellent service and stay for the food. Joe, Matt, and Martin are the BEST. Favorites: the rocket salad, veal piccata, tuscan herb crusted grilled pork chop, boar bolognese.

Totally blown away on how good the Grilled Veal Chop with fig glaze was. My wife had ordered this and although my scallops with homemade pasta was awesome (second photo), I’d get the veal next time. Perfectly cooked and the pappardelle pasta was just perfect. We’ve tried a lot of restaurants in the Cape Cod area and for some reason never bothered coming here. That’s a mistake! Next time your in the Harwich/Chatham area do yourself a favor and visit Bucca Tuscan Roadhouse - you won’t be disappointed! Forgot to mention that the staff there is TOP NOTCH & very friendly.

Good overall experience. Service was attentive but not overbearing. All four of us enjoyed our food, especially the Eggplant and Chicken Parm and the Swordfish. Cozy atmosphere, but still quiet and chic. A little pricey but no more so than many places on the Cape. Reservations heavily encouraged.

We highly recommend this lovely restaurant! The food was multi bene!! The veal “tomahawk” chop was huge!!!! and was perfectly cooked. The veal scallopini rose was the most wonderful combination of flavors. Truly awesome! I need the recipe🙏🙏

Absolutely wonderful but just preference on the potatoes.. very salty.... Broccoli accompaniment was ok. These weren't as good as the main dishes. The rest of the food was outstanding.

Very nice dining experience. Marty was a gem at the reception desk at getting us a table when we had failed to make a reservation. We loved the rocket salad.

Amazing food, brilliant service...did I mention the amazing food and brilliant service?!?! Andrew the assistant manager made us feel so welcome and recommended an amazing wine (and didn't do the "here's the most expensive" but asked 2 questions and NAILED it (it was a Soavé that was delicious)) We shared starters and all had different mains (the veal that they are known for was incredible; eggplant parmesan made it to lunch the following day it was that good...and the gorgonzola pasta was a creamy extravaganza - (pics are of the vongolé and simple tomato sauce with "3 extra shrimp")) They are BUSSSSSSYYYYY!!! So make sure you book in advance, and you will not regret it!

My fiancé and I were there last night for dinner and we wanted to stay the whole night. The food and atmosphere were incredible. Felt like we were in Italy for the 2 1/2 hours we were there for. We come to the cape a couple times a year and will definitely be going here every time we come.

M

once again, they did not disappoint. service was exceptional, food, as usual, first class. we always try something different, but have to circle back to the eggplant: best on the cape!

Such a delicious spot on the Cape! Literally the best meal we had! The wine and food are authentic and the seats at the bar were really fun! Highly recommend making this your go-to when in Cape Cod!

We're up from Florida to celebrate our 20th Anniversary on the Cape. My wife found Buca's so we drove out and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The environs were a glimpse of Tuscany and the food - Delizioso! Omari took such great care of us, we wanted for nothing. We thoroughly recommend. Grazie!!

As difficult as it is to get a reservation at the last moment, planning ahead works. The owner, Martin, is both a tentive host, and an organized, hard working, generous gentleman. Be sure to meet Joe at the bar. He is an amazing and a charming guy. The wait staff is both knowledgeable and professional. But the food and the atmosphere is why I keep going back, never a disappointment. While your there, be sure to ask the staff for your copy a charming heartwarming mementos of your time at The Buca's Tuscan Roadhouse by purchasing a framed limited edition print of the original painting, or the original painting itself! Artwork created by yours truly, Sedona Summer.

This was an exquisitely perfect meal! All six of us felt it was one of the best restaurant meals ever and we are seniors! We had the seafood stew, sole extravaganza, sausage and delicious sauce, the best artichoke hearts we ever had with real Tuscan Italian bread crunchy and chewy. The waitress overheard one of us not wanting a whole dessert so she added a sample to another dessert! Above and beyond! I can’t recommend this restaurant enough!!!

I can’t say anything more positive than what has already been posted in other reviews, so just believe all the hype. This place is the complete deal, and you won’t go wrong with an evening here. Our server Matthew was terrific, maintaining the proper balance of attentiveness and patience while we dined. The food was every bit as good as described on the menu. The atmosphere was perfect for enjoying the meal. I’d recommend Buca’s to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.

Can't recommend this place enough. They squeezed us in at the bar pretty last minute. The food was outstanding and easily rivals some of the best places in the north end. If you can get a spot, you should absolutely check out this italian spot. Good for date night!

This is my FAVORITE place to get Italian food. The specials are special and the serice is always second to none. The manager Martin almost always greets me at the door with a warm and friendly hello. I feel welcomed by friendly faces each time I arrive. A truly special place on the cape.

One of my new favorite places on the Cape!! GLUTEN FREE FRIENDLY- they brought me a gf roll when everyone else got bread, and they have amazing gf pasta!!! I got the pesto pasta and it was AMAZING. Their appetizers are just as insane as their dishes. I recommend the artichoke hearts wrapped in prosciutto (I don't even like artichoke and I was dreaming of these after eating them.)

Found this place via a google search and went on a whim. Got super lucky and scored a table but I would absolutely recommend reservations. We were all very pleased with our meals. Highly recommended this gem.

The food is exceptional, start to finish. Fresh bread and olive oil to start. We ordered the warm mixed olives as an appetizer. The eggplant parm with spinach and goat cheese was filling and yummy. Gnocchi with eggplant and mushrooms was delicious. But the show stopper was the creme brulee-best I have ever had!

We had an amazing dinner last night! We sat outside on their patio. The service was exceptional, not only by our waitress Nina, but every server we met. The food was deliciously prepared and nicely spaced between courses. I cannot say enough about our experience!

This was a delicious Italian experience. The wine list includes some hidden gems from Italy, while the menu offers a diverse palette of Appetizers, pastas and main courses. Our table sampled many of them. We enjoyed all of the appetizers and main courses. Lastly, the owner and staff were very welcoming and attentive, even during their busy season. It was by luck we got a reservation and really enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend.

I’ve been coming to Cape Cod for over 35 years and this is hands down my favorite restaurant. Two years ago October my now husband and I became engaged while having dinner at the bar. Last night we returned to celebrate and couldn’t have been happier. The dinner was top notch and one of the best we’ve enjoyed this season. We sat at the bar (it’s tiny with only 6 seats) and was served by Matt who was very hospitable, congenial, knowledgeable, attentive, and hard working. I can’t rave enough about the cocktails, appetizers, main course, and dessert. Be aware the portions are huge so plan on leftovers. Also, reservations are a must! We eat at many nice establishments around the Chatham area every year and while never disappointed, have to say Buca’s has grabbed our hearts and taste buds!

We went in on a Sunday night, had a reservation to sit at the bar. Our Bartender Jack was great. Very knowledgeable not only about the drinks, but also the food in the menu. He tended to our every need and was very fun to chat with, he’s a natural behind the bar. Our experience was great and we will definitely be back. Give Jack a raise and make him your permanent bartender!

All of the food was excellent, but I was even more impressed with the service. Everyone was kind and courteous, and I was especially impressed with how they were super tolerant and kind with my daughter (who is just shy of two years old). When we walked in, I was a bit skeptical that it would be a “kid-friendly” restaurant because of how quaint and fancy it appeared, but ALL of the staff proved me wrong. Definitely come try their food, and don’t be afraid to bring your little ones :)

This is one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The staff was so kind and accommodating of food allergies within our party and had excellent recommendations. My mom also thought she left her glasses on the table, and the manager went above and beyond and checked security cameras to help her track them down. You definitely need to stop here for the best pasta, wine, atmosphere, and service! If I didn’t live in Colorado, I’d be here all the time!

Wow!! What an unbelievable evening at Buca's Tuscan Roadhouse. Jack, at the bar was fun, lively and such a wonderful host to this amazing restaurant. We loved our food, drinks and the company. I cannot wait to come back to indulge more. We are so lucky to be able to come here.

My parents and I dined outside at one of Buca’s outdoor tables and had a wonderful time! It was very cozy eating outside and the food blows us away each time we dine here! From the fresh bread and oil, to our calamari appetizer to each of our entrees, we were effusive with how fabulously it all tasted. Our server, Nina, was so sweet, perfectly attentive and knowledgeable about all of the food and wine. Loved every minute of our experience!

Fantastic service and atmosphere. I can’t overstate how friendly everyone was. The appetizers were amazing and I’d highly recommend the Buratta with tomatoes and fresh bread. The chicken parmigiana was a bit dry for our liking, but great otherwise. Definitely worth making a reservation and checking out if you’re in the area, as it was highly recommended to me by a handful of locals and I can definitely understand how it captured their hearts & stomach!

Great service and good vibes. Very quaint restaurant with a feel of stepping back in time. The food was good not exceptional. The portions are large. The bruschetta was delicious but also enormous. Cacio e pipe was a bit of a let down. To full for dessert. The wine list is extensive.

I just wasn't impressed overall. I got the clam linguini and it lacked flavor and was rather bland. The bread they serve basically comes with a burnt crust that isn't very edible, and I usually love crust on all breads. The server was just mediocre and not very friendly. When I asked if they do anything special for birthdays, she seemed as though she was suspicious it wasn't really my birthday. (They did serve me a profiterole though.)

A
Alyce Mundy

Lovely atmosphere, but very rich food and high prices if that's what you like as a surprise. The Gorgonzola with Peas was very strong as though the cheese was beyond ripe. I could not eat it. They did honor my second choice, the Shrimp Scampi, but still too rich for my taste. Guess that's Tuscan Italian vs Northern Italian. To each their own, I venture. We live here, 37 years. Many other great restaurants here on Cape Cod from which to choose.

This place is wildly overrated. We live 5 mins from here for years now, and we will never be back. We went last summer for the first time and it was a memorable experience alright- in a bad way. The service was some of the most annoying I’ve ever had. The server took almost 35 minutes (I’m not even remotely joking) to get me wine. She kept insisting I try a different wine, when I asked for the same as my wife’s several times over, starting with the first failed sample test. This happened 4 times, and each time took several minutes to 10 minutes per glass. I didn’t want any of the samples. I just wanted what my wife had. I said it multiple, multiple times. All 4 samples were terrible, and I like most reds. Now to the food- I can’t recall what pasta dishes we had, I believe it was the chicken piccata and a red sauce dish I forget but we both were very underwhelmed. Extremely salty, sauce wasn’t good- absolutely nothing great in the entire meal. From what I remember, the food was so bad I left visibly annoyed with the entire experience. I didn’t even mention the very dated and dark interior, which is completely covered in dust across the entire place- especially in the things hanging from the ceiling. The prices are absolutely laughable, never mind for the fact that the food is some of the worst Italian food I’ve had in my life. We will never eat here again, even if the food was free.

A
Anthony G

Good was great. Service not so great. It took forever for the waiter to get to us. Then we ordered drinks. It took forever for the drinks to get to us. The dining room is way too tight. We might as well be all sitting at the same table. Therefore, it's too expensive for the subpar service and terrible dining room. If the next table wasn't breathing on my neck or rubbing elbows with me and the wait staff was top notch, they'd have a right to ask the prices they ask. Trying to be like Ruth's Chris but In a home Depot shed. Will not go back.
