This is your friendly neighborhood bar and restaurant, with a large dose of attentive service from the wait staff, very good comfort food, and reasonable prices. Our group of four ordered a variety of dishes, ranging from blackened catfish, Tuscany chicken over stir-fried zucchini and squash, and a Philly cheesesteak. All the dishes were excellent.

Everything was on point, from the drinks and bartender to our waitress and the food. I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and it was seasoned perfectly. Plus, my two drinks were great. I’d definitely come back to try more!

Came in and they were packed! Only 2 working, but they were hustling! Working hard and taking good care of everyone! Food was great, service was better! Highly recommended!

The food and service was excellent!! Atmosphere was friendly and intimate!! I would not recommend for kiddos under 10, only because there aren't any TVs or other things to distract them and seating is too close for them to get up and walk around as kids do. More for adults who need a wonderful/quiet night out and great food!!!

This is a locally owned restaurant that never disappoints! The food is delicious and the service is great! This is one of our favorite places to go for lunch, dinner or brunch! Be sure to check it out the next time you are in the Midlothian area!

The restaurant was packed! We were seated quickly even though we were a table for five. I ordered Eggs Benedict and the eggs were cooked PERFECTLY! Wait staff was friendly and efficient.

I only wish that I had felt better when we were there. Biscuits and gravy was really good. My wife had the crab cake. All quite good. We will definitely go back. It's almost hidden but worth looking for.

We went on a very busy Sunday evening. The staff was very friendly and attentive. All the dishes we had (fried fish, meatloaf, pork chips and pasta) were excellently seasoned and indeed tasted “homemade”. Even the sides of French fries, biscuits, potatoes, green beens were each great. My kids mentioned that some of the dishes were the best they ever had (in their young life). It took a little long to get our food but the place was packed and the wait staff was very accommodating. Definitely a Cheers like atmosphere.

I have a gluten allergy and this was the best meal I had in Richmond. No reactions at all. I had a turkey Reuben on gluten free bread. I ate the whole thing and I NEVER do that!! They were very accommodating and the menu is excellent for a small local place. Lots of choices. Would definitely recommend. My husband can eat anything and he said he thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast/brunch. Can’t wait to go back. It’s my new go to when I’m in town. Only regret is that I didn’t try this place when I lived here!! Go try it!!

Came in for brunch on a VERY busy Saturday, but I was welcomed immediately and seated promptly. The staff was all VERY friendly, and treated me and everyone else I saw them interact with like family. The food was INCREDIBLE, hot, and fresh. The coffee was mid, but the mimosas were GREAT! I can't wait to go back!

Delicious food, and wonderful service from friendly, attentive staff. The blackened porkchops with the corn salsa was tender and well seasoned. Trevor was a gracious host and excellent cook. Pleasure to also meet the owner. We will be back!

Nothing fancy but all delicious! Everything there is homemade...salad dressings, sauces, desserts and you can taste it. Look forward to going back!

Been eating at The Grill for the last couple of years and have not had a disappointing meal yet. Last nights Southern Chicken Stake and Gravy with a side of Squash Casserole was fantastic. Chicken was not overly breaded yet crispy and meat was exceptionally tender you only needed your fork to cut. The Squash Casserole was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Mouth watering with every morsel. This our go to place and they never disappoint. Highly recommend.

Blackened pork chops were superb! Entire meal was great. Trevor is a super chef! I highly recommend you try this restaurant. Entire staff is courteous and friendly and food is consistently delicious. 5+ stars.

My wife and I went to The Grill at Waterford for the first time on Sunday 2/2/25. Amanda was our server. We were seated immediately, although the place was very busy. Amanda came over quickly and took our drink orders. We had already received our menus when we sat down. She was friendly and attentive the entire meal. My wife had a chicken gyro. It was delicious! I had a few bites of it and the pita was thick and substantial, easily holding in a LOT of meat and the veggies were super fresh. It came with home made chips which were definitely recently deep fried. They are the standard side dish. It was a 5 of 5. I had the Chicken Philly sub. It was medium in size but packed with meat and cheese, overflowing the bun. The onions were nicely cooked with a little brown... just how I like it. I only wish there had been more of them, but I am NOT complaining at all! I got the fries as my side and they were heavily seasoned and absolutely piping hot when I got them. Not a huge amount, but they were thick and delicious so I didn't need more than I got. Overall it seemed like everything ran smoothly and the staff was smiling and fast moving. I liked that the food was so good that they didn't need to cover the plate in food to make you feel like you got a good meal. Instead, you got a good meal because the food, the service, and amount were executed to perfection. My wife and I eat out a lot and we both are looking forward to our next trip to The Grill at Waterford. I wanted to add something here... over the last couple of years I've been back to the Grill with my wife and others. If anything, I like it even more. The staff is exceptionally friendly and competent. Need something special? They'll try to accommodate. I'm sure I will continue to eat there for the foreseeable future. Shout out to Chelsea, our waitress on my last trip. She was superb and inspired me to update my review.

A 'first time' visit👏🏾. Great, "low-key" restaurant/bar with a great staff, service, and 'food-options'. No pics because we ate it all 😆😂 (had guests from out-of-town that Loved It) ...Appetizer -wise, 'Buffalo Chicken Wings'...Entree-wise, the 'Bourbon Street Pasta', 'Grilled Chicken Salad', and 'Philly Sandwich' were the favorites amongst the group. As always with the great businesses in which we intend to promote/support, recommend working with 'Google' to add these items to the "Recommended Dishes" list. Nice, warm atmosphere. Has a full bar and delicious meals. Ample parking and friendly service. Handicap accessible.

Sat at the bar and the bar tender was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Pizza was delicious and I will be returning.

Most highly recommend! Amazing food with diverse menu options and extremely competitive prices given the overall quality. My fiancee and I can get two entrees here for a few dollars more than the drive thru at McDonald's and the quality can be compared to a high end eatery. The atmosphere is welcoming and has the friendly nature of a small locals style establishment where they know their patrons by name.

You can always get a delicious meal here. It is a quaint restaurant and they have homemade pie for dessert. Some friends were with us one time and got the sandwiches and said they didn't like them. I didn't try them so I don't know that for sure. I do know that you can a good amount of food for your money.

Whenever Im in Richmond visiting my 97 year old mother, we always go to The Grill to get the best home-cooked meal anywhere. Mom loves the fried catfish and onion rings. She always receives special treatment and attention - from staff and patrons alike. We love The Grill!

I recently went to grab a sandwich with my mother at the Grill and was taken aback about the positive changes since my previous visit. I ordered the Reuben with fries and it melted in my mouth. It was better than any I’ve had in the past few years. My mother ordered a BLT with fried green tomatoes and still can’t say enough about it! I think we were surprised at the winning hospitality and service and the affordable prices! Oh and don’t forget the homemade chips!! Excellent place to order whatever you’re in the mood for !!

We have become weekly regulars at this restaurant since our first visit 3 years ago, and it honestly never disappoints. The food is delicious, and there is a nice variety of choices from breakfast to dinner. Besides the awesome food, what also brings us back here every week are the people who work here. They are always pleasant and attentive, even in times when it’s extremely busy. It can honestly be busy during weekend mornings, but I have yet to see any of these wonderful people lose their cool, patience and professionalism while dealing with, at times, impatient customers. Jadyn, who we see regularly, is to be commended for always being so friendly and professional; she is such a hard worker, along with the rest of the staff. I consider this restaurant and the people who work here as one of the best things in this area. Thank you, Shawn, Brandi, Jadyn, Becca, Chelsea, and everyone else for always making it a great dining experience!

Nice neighborhood food place with a great non-traditional chicken pot pie. Would like to try the shrimp and grits and shepards pie next time. Lighting was good for a comfy, bar type atm with a lamp on the table if you need more light.

My and wife and myself had dinner on a Saturday date night and again for Sunday lunch. Both times were great experiences! From greetings to ordering and tasting the great food. Both times our waitress was promptly filling our tea . I would invite anyone to this awesome restaurant.

Googled for a new idea for dinner. Had to drive over 30 min, but the menu made me take a chance. Very reasonably priced. Well designed menu & outstanding job by the chefs. Delicious & well worth the drive.

We stumbled upon this restaurant and can say that we will be regulars. From the service that we received from Chelsea, to the amazing food that was served to us, everything was on point and pretty much perfect. The fried green tomatoes were excellent, as were our entrees and sides. Then topped off with delicious chocolate peanut butter pie, we are fans and will be back. The most perfect first impression!

We enjoyed the visit at the Grill. Service was fast, friendly, and on point. Food was served fast and mostly as described. Big portions and good taste, they were kind of skimpy on the shrimpy though... 4 for an entire pasta dish felt... low. Like I said, we enjoyed it, we would visit again.

A chill spot with excellent service! Although I prefer more seasoning to enhance flavor, the dishes provided at The Grill at Waterford are prepared pretty well. I would return to try more items on the menu. When I go back, I may try the wings and a couple of cocktails. The staff are courteous and the food came out quickly. I liked the fried green tomatoes were very crispy and the sauce on the side added the salty creamy dressing needed to make this appetizer a must-order. The fries were hot and crispy too. I tried a bite of the meatloaf and it was savory. Sean treated my friends and me marvelously, so returning is an absolute yes!

Fast service and friendly staff. We ordered the chicken pot pie, banana fosters french toast, cheese grits, and a breakfast sampler (not sure of the name). The banana foster was really good. The pot pie was different but not bad. Could use a bit more seasoning. The potatoes I could tell were frozen and not fresh but it was good. The cheese grits lacked flavor. Overall my experience wasn't bad.

Had liver and onions so good very tinder ,daughter had fried green tomatoes with a great sauce delicious. Service was wonderful.

I had a lovely spinach salad with chicken and my wife had turkey ham club sandwich. Also had some of the homemade chips for an appetizer . Homemade chips were good and the dipping sauce was outstanding.

Friendly service and family friendly! Southern traditional home style meals. The is a bar inside, which serves liquor, beer, and wine.

The atmosphere was family friendly and had great music. The food and drinks were good. I watched the interaction of the four servers and only one looked like they liked their job. My server didn’t introduce herself and gave off the vibes that she didn’t even want to be there. She looked between the ages of 18-22 and had no personality at all. I didn’t even know her name until the end of my service when I had to ask another server (some young girl with thick coke bottle glasses who basically acted like she was annoyed I asked her a question) what her name was. I found out her name was Jaidyn (I don’t know if that’s how you spell it) but she absolutely sucked. She clearly needs training on customer service skills. The energy of the two servers (Jaidyn and the other one with the thick coke bottle glasses) were disappointing to say the least. The third young girl server looked lost walking around aimlessly and the older server was experienced with personality about her. She said hi/bye and just acted like a basic human being. This was my first time at the establishment and the GM/Manager was nice as well. It was just be a better atmosphere with servers who had customer service knowledge.

Everything on this menu comes from a bag frozen. Fried green tomatoes served with Alfredo sauce is wild. Save yourself the hassle and just go a few doors down and hit the freezer isle at Food Lion.
