This is a chain of Ice cream and hambuger fast food .. they are all relatively the same .. this one is simply the newest version ... we got ice cream it was good didn't try any real food yet .. maybe next time

Went through the drive thru tonight, they forgot my chicken tenders and gave me the wrong size blizzard, and told the girl behind the counter. She immediately fixed the problem, gave me a new blizzard and gave me a whole chicken tender meal at no cost!

This Dairy Queen location is solid. The ice cream is normally what I get. It is presented very well and the servers are always very friendly. The location is very well maintained outside. I will continue to support this business.

Overall I'm not crazy about the ice cream product and I find it a little overpriced but the experience as a whole was good. Definitely friendly service and if you have an issue with something they will take care of it without hesitation.

When I think of Dairy Queen, I think of dirty, sticky floors, and old gas stations. But this Dairy Queen is clean and new! It allowed me the opportunity to enjoy my peanut buster parfet and reminisce my childhood. Comfy seats, happy staff, and the full Brazier menu.

It's a Dairy Queen! It's really good to have one so close to us (but maybe not so good calorie-wise). They do a good job at this one, and it's nice that there's some outdoor seating...overlooking the beautiful Midlothian Turnpike.

Wow! I must say that I was pleased with the great attitude Ryder brought. I have had some negative experiences with some employees in the past so I had some very very low expectations. However, I have been pleasantly surprised by the manners, fast service, and delicious food Ryder served me. Cant wait to come back!!!

I must say, Ryder was a wonderful young man. He helped us get our food and it was one of the best fast food experiences I have ever had. I highly recommend coming to this location especially when Ryder is working here over the weekend!

I absolutely love this Dairy Queen. It’s so clean and it’s so nice and I love the fireplace during the winter or fall months and then I love how close it is to other places and it’s not very secluded.

I just want to compliment the manager of this Dairy Queen location. Their staff screwed up an order, I contacted them about it, and they made it right. I know retail foodservice is a tough job with a lot of moving pieces (I worked a job in high school), but the fact that the manager handled my anger in the moment and followed up is amazing. You won’t get that kind of service quality at other fast food locations. I was actually shocked when I got the follow up call from them. The empathy and focus on resolution she showed was amazing. I hope someone at DQ sees this review and gives the manager of this location a raise. She has EARNED IT! Also, my kids love the ice cream here, which is the most important part.

I’ve never had a bad or unpleasant experience here. The staff are super friendly and food is a great value. My dog gets so excited whenever we turn into the parking lot because they make his favorite pup cup.

Have only had soft serve treats and milkshakes most always through the drive-in window. No food so I can't rank it. . All treats are excellent - like most Dairy Queens. I suggest you use their app to order. You can earn points for future purchases and can see specific money saving deals every week. Also, your Order is ALWAYS ready when you drive up and the employees are very courteous. Inside is always clean and bright.

Very nice location, roomy, bright, and clean. Service was great the two times I visited with 2 different employees. It has a really nice outdoor seating and a fireplace inside for cold days which makes it more of a cozy place to have a meal or ice cream.

I am not a fan of fast food at all, but this DQ is an exception. DQ was very popular where I grew up, and was a huge part of my ball playing days as a child. Now, my children love this place and it has become a routine stop for us. First off, the food is what you’d expect, it is not good for you, but satisfies that guilty pleasure. Orders have always been accurate, and cooked to specifications. The staff is fantastic. They have always been patient, friendly, and very diligent. We have seen the same faces consistently over time, this is a testament to great management. The dining room is extremely clean and well stocked and does not look like a fast food dining room, it is very cozy! This may be the only 5-star fast food review in my lifetime, but it is well deserved!

I have to say that Ty has waited on us the past 3 times we've visited and he always greets us with a smile, warm friendly and professional attitude. It's pretty rare to find such great service (with the exception of one other fast food restaurant). Food has become much more consistent than when they first opened up and is always delicious :)

Love this location! I avoid one closer to my house to get to this location. The young man usually working the front (Dalton L) is awesome!! He's always very nice and works incredibly fast. He really makes the experience go from good to great! The food is typical DQ- some is really good and some is meh. However, it is always hot, brought to the table quickly and is made well rather than slapped together like in other locations. They have the Freestyle Coke machines so thats pretty great. The store is always clean and well stocked. I go probably too frequently and you should too.

So happy a new Dairy Queen opened near me. The staff was very friendly and, of course, the ice cream was fabulous! They also have really good sandwiches. Will definitely be a regular.

Very busy Friday and just didn't have time to make dinner. Decided to give DQ a try. The double cheeseburger was surprisingly good and of course the blizzards are always good.

Wonderful, fast, and clean restaurant - a very neat building with a unique style!! We loved the outside dining area and enjoyed the inside atmosphere!! The onion rings were fantastic. The owners are very sweet and friendly - The best DQ in VA!

Prior to coming on Saturday night, 10/4/25, I checked reviews on this place and saw how in the past year, customer service was "panned" from a bunch of fair and negative reviews. However, we had D.Q. gift cards to use up and I decided to take a chance and come for myself anyways. I want to report that management DID read the reviews and RESPOND because the staff and service from my visit was very friendly and attentive! I had NONE of the experiences with service that past reviews mentioned. Food and ice cream was delicious for all my kids, wife and myself. This would certainly make me come again if I'm in the area...and I live in Northern Henrico. Only downside was I was looking forward to being warmed by the fireplace (that I had previewed in Google reviews) this particular crisp, October night and it wasn't in use at the time. Also, the large ceiling fans in the restaurant made things a bit chilly for the family. I'm sure it was a warmer day earlier but the temps had dropped. Grill & chill, right? Haha...still a pleasant experience, though. Thanks!

In January 2022, the owner of this Dairy Queen bent over backwards to help me plan a surprise birthday party for my 90 -year old mofher. When she was just a teenager and in her 20s, she worked for several years at a Dairy Queen owned by her father, so I thought I would have family from Indiana and friends from the Midlothian Library meet us there. The staff roped off a small area for us and let us play a slideshow about her life. The food was fast food, but good and the ice cream was a blast from the past for the family. Mom amd the DQ staff traded stories about making cones, desserts, helping people. This was probably the best experience Mom had for 2022, since Dad passed away 6 months later. I'm writing this review 18 months late, because she still talks about how nice the DQ staff was to her. Thanks.

Bright and cheerful DQ, impeccably clean with friendly staff. We got a signature burger combo and a chili cheese dog. Everything was prepared properly and delivered table side piping hot. The fries were acceptable and the onion rings properly fried with strong onion flavor. Minimal wait time. We followed the food up with a Oreo blizzard and the brownie Oreo cupfection. Everything came quickly and tasted great.

Friendly employees and a good tasting sunday. They did make and then forget our order leaving it to sit on the counter for quite a while, but they apologized when I came up to get it. That means a lot.

Love the cones here. Would give 5 stars if they were better with their chocolate sprinkles coverage. Girl at the front counter, please talk louder for us older people 🙂

I'm 58 Dairy Queen has been around ever since I was very young probably before I was born but anyway you've always had great ice cream they've always had good food good sandwiches good big old thick french fries and unlike McDonald's their ice cream machines actually work all the time good food and I think you would like it if you go I've never had a bad experience there at least you can still walk and sit down and eat can't seem to do that anymore hardly but I've always been Friendly Ice Creams always been good they've been around forever I hope you have a good time if you go there I knew kids loved it everybody loves ice cream I guess but it's just my opinion

Loved everything except the parking lot/drive thru layout. It's kind of tricky. The restaurant itself is lovely and we enjoyed our burgers.

Went through the drive thru the other day and I got to the window and the lady at the register didn't say hi how u doing or nothing she was extremely rude when I said thank you she said nothing back not even have a nice day or nothing it was very rude that she wouldn't say anything you work with the public if you don't like your job find somewhere else cause its your job to greet customers I would love to talk to the manager about her behavior

Dining room closed, drive through only. Chicken strips old and just above room temp. Fries were beyond help,even with gravy.

5 out of 6 meals were great, the fourth was sent back. Not cooked enough. Brought another one and did not charge us.

Everything was good except when we entered the store there were 10 people standing right at the entrance talking. We had to wait for them to move so we could get in to order. When we got done ordering we had to weave our way through them to get a seat. Come on people move out of the way and stop being SOOOO LOUD!!!

Very Nice, brand new Dairy Queen with a drive-through. The frozen treats and desserts are great. The burgers and fries are not particularly good.

Drove thru to get some blizzards and burgers. Liked how the drive thru line was, it does not go around the building, it's on one side of it. Was told to pull forward and wait for the food, but when the lady brought us our orders our 3 blizzards had spoons in without lids, only ice cream had a lid on. If we had been at the window we could have asked for the lids, but we could not. My kid had to hold on to the holder carefully while watching blizzards melting on our way home. For that reason I give 4 stars, not 5.

Great food, great service, very clean. Its really loud inside. Due to the design and the awful acoustics if more than 6 people are in the restaurant at one time, it gets loud in there even if people are speaking at normal volume levels.

Went through the drive thru to order our milkshakes. Seemed like they wanted to rush while taking orders, had to inform them we wanted a second milkshake. I wanted the new dipped strawberry cheesecake blizzard but received a Reese's peanut butter cup blizzard. They definitely need to check to make sure the order was correct before rushing to get the drive thru lines down.

This place is new and clean. The drive thru is quick and the food hot. I got Burgers and ice cream, the dipped cone. The burger was 7/10 for fast food. I also love the cheese curds. For fast food dairy queen, this is one of the best ones I have been to. It meets all the expectations of a dairy queen and fast food. Its quick, hot, and prices are competitive. The food is satisfying and doesn't leave you wanting.

This DQ is always fast and friendly, however our blizzards are never mixed that well—the bottom half is straight soft serve :( this has happened a few times and we’re pretty discouraged about going back.

Excited to try out this new DQ. My daughters blizzard arrived 1/2 melted and only 1 employee was wearing a mask. That shocked me.

Usually pretty good but the new kid laughed when I brought up that he made my order wrong. I had it remade but he still messed it up. Kinda sad but I suppose it can be hard to get some high schooler to care. Possible lack of training

This is a beautiful, new, flagship DQ. The interior is one of the nicest you'll see ...clean, spacious, well laid out location, with a cool fireplace feature and a great outdoor patio. HOWEVER, the staff at this DQ is consistently horrible!! I have never been to this location without experiencing some issue ...from incorrect orders, to staff literally not knowing how to count change, to glacially slow service, to actually receiving bad ice cream! Yes, our entire group got vanilla soft serve that tasted terrible! Soft serve ice cream is kind of DQ's bread and butter...how do they mess that up?!? So, when we complained about the horrible ice cream, the girl said "yeah, we've had other customers say that too. Let me redo your order from the other machine, that one seems much better." ...which it was, but why the heck are you still using a machine that everyone is complaining about?? It's a shame, because it's a really nice, conveniently located DQ. If they ever fix the staff/training issues ...the place would be awesome!

It's brand new so the building is gorgeous. The staff is still pretty green and learning so bring some patience. Good otherwise & glad there's an ice cream shop close. Update - when it gets busy it kinda falls apart. Ordered at 8:03 and didn't leave until 8:25. Watching people who ordered after me leave well before me. Saw my order sitting mostly complete for ~10 minutes. Bizarrad soup is what the customer gets in the end.

When we were handed the blizzards, my wife asked the cashier if he could flip the blizzards upside down and he gave us a very harsh stare, looked at us as if we threatened him and said nothing. Good ice cream 🍨, the service need to improve, and employees should smile a little bit more. I came few times and each time they got our order wrong. Not the Good ice cream size or not the good ice cream flavor.. And one time they forgot our order on the counter top and they didn't redo it, they gave it to us like that without doing anything... We asked to have it changed but nothing.... It is a shame because we love to come....

Went for my favorite summertime dessert the strawberry sundae. I was disappointed since this DQ no longer had the wet walnuts that I feel ready give me that fuller flavor of my summer dessert. I was told they no longer serve it so they ended up putting chopped pecan on top which was very dry. We asked for more strawberry syrup to enhance the flavor. Please bring back the wet nuts because they make a huge difference.

If you ask what kind of dressing you want, please put it in the bag! I ordered a salad with ranch and no dressing in the bag, not even any for the kids meals! Super frustrating when we are at a picnic at the park and I can't eat my salad. Super disappointing and I am hungry. Thanks for nothing, DQ.

The person who served us was more concerned about other things than taking orders correctly. He repeatedly walked away from his station. All I had was blizzard and that was not made correctly.

The worker was very rude and disrespectful to me. I love coming here with friends and family but DQ please make your workers more relaxed.

wow what happened to this place. i went at 3 pm and there where kids and children everywhere. no parents, just kids from all the schools let out. they were stealing bottled water and most of the girls were dressed inapropriate to say the least. my food was very good, but i ran to my truck to get away from a bad sceen. this is not a hangout or a place to loiter. get rid of the kids. few to none were cutomers.

Nothing tasted good, even the coke tasted of pure carbonated water. Was very cold inside, I noticed the thermostat was set to 66. Brrr Will not be returning.

Spouse will not come back. We've paid for extra butterfinger pieces and receive hardly any. She gets a blizzard that is almosy only vanilla ice cream. Very disappointing 😕

I really enjoyed eating my blizzard outside with my son until I noticed a piece of hair in my blizzard. I ended up throwing the rest of my blizzard away. They were too busy for me to let someone know. So I figured I'll leave a review.

They brought our food and gave me a vanilla blizzard when I ordered chocolate. I asked why and she said the chocolate was broken and that they need to fix it. Well had I known that I would have got a different flavor. They should tell you that when you order also should had offered to switch it up. I was debating between two flavors and went with the one because I wanted chocolate.

The hot dog had been on the grill a l o n g time and was hard. I was afraid to bite into it for fear of breaking my teeth. The fries were cold. I had placed a mobile order. The estimated time was 10 minutes but I immediately went to the window; there was no line. Thank goodness or the dog might have been hard and cold. I got a Misty drink with the combo. This was around 345-4 in the afternoon. I was most disappointed.

The prices are a rip off. They don't follow the national DQ pricing or items for Super Snack and Meal Deals. Employee training seems to be hit and miss...mostly miss.

ordered my food through grubhub first it was late, then when I get it it was nasty cold and the gravy spilled all over the food. I had to order because I was at St Francis Hospital with my daughter who was giving birth to my grandbaby. Gross gross gross and I usually love ❤️ DQ.

I wish I could give this DQ less than a star. I’ve only been twice but each time my order was completely wrong and neither time were staff sympathetic. I understand the staff is mostly high schoolers, but the adult manager or supervisor doesn’t seem to be invested in the lack of customer service. I will not be back. Save yourself some time and money and go elsewhere.

1st time visit but will not be returning. ordered at the drive thru, a banana split with cocoa fudge instead of hot. Received a banana split without cocoa fudge, though cocoa fudge was printed on my receipt, and there was only a small amount of fudge, barely any pineapple, and small amount of strawberry. Split was also given to me without a lid.

Walked in for a two ice cream cones .. it took 8 minutes to make and ice cream sat on the counter for another 5 to 7 minutes.. the best part is no one was infront of me and the place wasn’t busy at all… slowest DQ I have been so far…

Sereen is the worst cashier i’ve ever encountered. i usually have a great experience at this location, but last night was a real let down. i came in with my brother and sister, and we ordered a cheeseburger combo, fries, a drink, and two ice creams. sereen seemed to barely pay any attention to our requests, and she unsurprisingly put in the order wrong. i asked to look at the receipt and there was no cheeseburger combo, and instead an extra drink i didn’t ask for. we started another order with the combo, but my brother never got his blizzard. when we were filling our sodas, we found one of the machines broken and both of them out of ice. as we were waiting for our food, i noticed an order that looked a lot like ours sitting on the shelf for a long time before she did anything about it. after a good ten minutes, she gave us our order on a tray, when we had asked for takeout. when we asked for a bag, she handed us the bag. i gave her a confused look and she said “oh i guess i can bag it for you.” i just took the bag and bagged it myself. the fries were cold, and she handed us a milkshake with no whip cream. we asked to get whip on it, and she said “oh this is someone’s else’s.” there was no one else waiting to pick up food… Please just fire Sereen. i have no idea how someone can be this incompetent.

My order was a vanilla blizzard with cookie dough and peanut butter cups. I received i blizzard with about 5 pieces of cookie dough and no peanut butter cups. Worst of all there was chocolate syrup in my suppose to be vanilla ice cream. It is not hard to get a simple order right. The workers here are incompetent. I would recommend a different dairy queen where people can actually do their job.

There’s this balding ginger girl that’s heavier set who is genuinely the rudest person I’ve encountered in terms of costumer service, from the minute I walked in she had the most nastiest attitude. She can take that personality to McDonald’s.

Something is wrong with their soda machine… sodas taste like I imagine toilet water would taste - they have next to no syrup in them. I’ve tried food/drinks from this place on 3 different occasions- months apart, so it’s not a 1 time thing. I hope it’s not a ‘cheap’ management thing to save a dollar or two b/c everyone knows restaurants make a killing on sodas. Get the soda machine fixed!!!!

Poor service, combative customer service, poor quality product. I put in a mobile order and went to the drive thru to pick up. Waited behind 2 other cars, got to the window. Was told to pull forward and wait as they were busy. Thats fine. 20 minutes go by, I call the store because the app says my order was completed and at least 5 cars pulled through behind me grabbing bags of food. Obviously, im now concerned. Instead of making it right, I am immediately met with criticism for calling at all. The employee that answers tells me that there are people in front of me in line from the lobby and I have to wait. Apparently, 20 minute waits outside of the drive through line are common here. They have no explanation why smaller orders are being filled and my order of 9 chicken tenders is taking so long. The employee offers a full refund- I got the ice cream from my kids and they are waiting for it, and Ive already waited, so no, I don't want a refund. Why even ask that?! They eventually bring the food. It is simultaneously cold and burnt. The ice cream is melted. Several items are missing or smaller portions than ordered. Mobile orders appear to be the lowest priority at this DQ location. Why offer the app at all for loyalty rewards if the restaurant treats those customers as less than? What a disappointing experience.

Atmosphere is great. When this place first opened they were great. Consistent, quick , normal Dairy Queen quality. We went Friday night just ordered normal blizzards. They had a bunch of workers making them . Ours was made quickly but they sat on the back shelf until they were melted . They brought us the wrong order to our table , came back with the correct order but it appeared to me almost not toppings in either and she had to a partial flip bc the ice cream was very melted . First time it’s been this poor quality in a while but have been noticing more lower star reviews.

So disappointed. Ordered large vanilla cone, and double original cheeseburger with extra onions. When I got to the window, a cone was sitting on counter already, a toddler without pants was being carried through kitchen right by open food, she went to hand it to me, the cone was chipped and looked awful. I asked for a fresh one...she rolled her eyes but got another cone for me. Handed it directly to me, no tray. The cone was so stale I actually threw it away, just tough and chewy, not crisp. Then...I open my burger, "extra onions" made it to my bill/receipt, but not on my burger. Absolutely horrible. I drove 10 miles out of my way for this food. Never again.
