Incredible atmosphere and food! I've been to all the big name steak houses in Chicago and this was one of the best! Great oysters and I had the filet but my friends seemed to enjoy their tomahawk steaks.

Cozy Relaxing Atmosphere. Great Service from the Hostess(Natalie or.. Aness Sry lol) to the Box/Busperson. Will definitely be back. Thanks to our server Anton? Brian? (Sorry lol) for attempting to sing to my mom... I'm really bad with names but it was a great time. Thank you..

I have never had a poor experience with III Forks - Chicago. Last night was no different. They hosted 11 people celebrating a few things. One was a friend who had just successfully completed her first solo flight! The other one was my boyfriend's return home from Afghanistan. We were treated so well and felt so welcomed by everyone there. The chef came over and personally thanked my boyfriend for his service. The President came over to my boyfriend and thanked him as well. We were blown away by their generosity and thanks. It means the world to us to have the support from so many people who understand and are grateful for the sacrifice our service men and women make.

I visited with a friend during happy hour and we enjoyed our time a lot. We got the $1 oysters and some other snacks off the happy hour menu. It felt busy but not crowded. We were able to be seated right away, and right near windows overlooking a park. I recommend the salmon slider as well!

They have the best service, beautiful and fancy decorations, and delicious food. I ordered lamp chop and it surprised me cause it was so juicy. It's my favorite restaurant in Chicago.

To start off service is simply amazing. I have to acknowledge our server Angie. If I could give her 10 stars for service I would. She is very knowledgeable, professional, charismatic, funny, and much much more. I would return on her service alone. Now on to the food. It was very delicious. I had the III Forks salad as a starter and it was perfect. I then ordered the Flat Iron steak which was cooked to perfection. It was nice and tender. That was served on top of mashed potatoes. The others in our group ordered the Shrimp Pasta, NY Strip, the 8 oz Filet, and everyone also said theirs was cooked to perfection. The sides are sharable and we went with lobster mac and cheese, brussel sprouts, 6 cheese potatoes, and mashed potatoes. We had a party of 6 and we had about 1 serving of each left in the casserole. Facilities. From what I noticed they have seating for private dining, semi private, bar seating, and regular dining room setting with some tables along the floor to ceiling windows. The only complaint I would have is that the water to wash your hands in the restroom is ice cold! Definitely will be back sometime in the near future.

This was by far my best experience while in Chicago. From the moment my family and I stepped in, to the moment we left I was amazed. They were the first steakhouse that offered a kids menu. Delicious options like Salmon and steak but in kid portions were available at very reasonable prices. My boys ordered the Tenderloin Tips and loved them. My husband, daughter and I all had the Filet Mignon in various sizes. It was cooked so perfectly and melted in my mouth like butter. The creamed corn was to die for as well. The sides are family style and the three of us had more than enough each. My martini by the way was one of the best made ones of my life! We finished off the meal with their Grand Marnier Creme Brulee and Chocolate Cake. The Brulee was so creamy and delightful. The kids tore apart the cake and it was not too sweet either. All of the flavors were so wonderfully balanced in every dish. Oh a great appetizer as well were the Lamb Meatballs. The texture was fantastic and the flavors wonderful. This is definitely a must on your next trip to Chicago.

This place was better than I expected! Cool fires and peaceful park view from the large windows. Their King butter is a must on the steak with truffles and delicate creamy finish. Onion soup was out of this world! This place comes well recommended.

Came for restaurant week and the food was phenomenal! Lobster bisque was fantastic and the crab stuffed salmon was absolutely out of this world. Cooked to perfection and seasoned wonderfully.

III Forks never disappoints. While the food and drink is so rewarding and delicious, the staff may outshine their amazing food. From hosts, to wait staff, to managers, everyone makes you feel welcome and warm. The unique twists on certain dishes are well done and pay off your tastebuds.

Delicious food! I got a stellar burger that I loved, and the view from our rooftop area was beautiful. I included a picture of my Shirley Temple because the lighting and location as well as the drink were so darn good!

We had a rooftop party for approximately 100 guests. Absolutely outstanding job. Wines, bourbons, food and service were stellar. Thank you Shawn, Heather and team. Well done and thank you for making us look so good!

Was in town as part of a big conference. One of the award winners had a social event in his honor and it was hosted at Ill Forks. Was completely blown away not only by the food (everything was great but the steak cuts were to die for!) but the customer service was some of the best I had ever received. My glass was never empty, the drinks were strong, and everyone enjoyed a wonderful evening! Thank you

I live in the LakeShore East neighborhood. I used to frequent, but it's been some time. I had such an incredible experience that I'm excited to be planning another experience! We ate at the bar (service by woman with long black hair was the part that made the night!!!!). The happy hour oysters and burger were great too (sometimes happy hour food is minimal - this was sizable and delicious).

Love this place!!! We went for our wedding anniversary, and the experience was one of kind. I would give it a 10 star if I could. Our server Andrea was on point, helpful and very energetic. Food was to die for. Highly recommend this steakhouse.

Three Forks attentive staff delivered a wonderful experience for two young patrons. Thank You to hostess Brittany and server Jorge for excellent service and special attention. Their enthusiasm, show of genuine happiness and dedication to these customers, allowed them to understand and deliver the want and the needed. The meat was perfectly cooked, hot on the outside and cool in the center with sides that were perfection and the key lime cake was the best way to end a meal. The service and the food are invitations to return again and again.

Great staff and delicious food. We came here to celebrate my GF's Birthday. Selena gave us the best customer service while setting up our reservation. She was also so nice and understanding when I called to let her know we were running late. (BEWARE of lower wacker when looking for parking) The main star of the night was Andrea. She was our server and she made sure everything was just right for us. Andrea introduced me to a new cocktail and I was surprised how good it was!

I absolutely loved 111Forks! It's rare that I dine out & don't have a complaint!! I mean everything was wonderful from my food to the excellent service!! Our waiter Tony was fantastic!! He was on point always checking on us to see if we needed anything as well as having no problem with getting anything we asked for with a smile!! I had Rack of Lamb & my Hubby had Braised Short Ribs. We had 6 Cheese Mashed Potatoes & Creamed Corn. I must say we were pleased from the time we walked in until we left. WAY TO GO GUY'S WE WILL BE RETURNING! & TO THINK WE ALMOST WENT TO STEAK 48! SAVE OURSELVES A FEW BUCKS TO.

I've been to III Forks on numerous occasions and never had anything but the best experience! The decor is terrific, especially the rooftop deck during the summer months! In wintertime, the fireplace indoors is a nice touch, making guests feel warm and cozy! The food is spectacular. I have a particular love of the bacon wrapped scallop appetizers! Of course you can never go wrong with a nice big steak, cooked just the way you like it! You don't have to spend a lot of money to check out III Forks, as they often have community events such as their Wednesday evening wine tastings for $15.00. That's a great way to explore the place for yourself and enjoy a great time with friends at the bar. I hosted a walking tour of the neighborhood one time and the management opened up early for us, providing coffee and biscotti for the entire group! Now that's what I call fantastic customer service! III Forks, with their terrific food, wonderful community service and outdoor rooftop deck has quickly become a neighborhood favorite!

Amazing dinner! Best I have had all week. Amazing service and decoration. Highly recommend it if you are looking for something that certainly isn't cheap, but you get food that is worth that price. I ordered the filet megnon and it was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked and juicy. Also highly recommend the chocolate cake they have! Perfectly balenced and there bread comes warm and soft! Delicious!

My boyfriend and I came in on a slow Tuesday night. Host very nice and seated us promptly. Our server was Victor and he was phenomenal! Super attentive and friendly! Made sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. Food was delicious and didn’t take too long. The servers assistant Marcel was kind and made sure we had everything we need and our drinks and waters filled. Marcel also made sure to also tell us to have a great night and thank you even though I really didn’t expect it! Finally, the manager Christina check with us to make sure everything was going well and to our liking. Definitely will be coming back here soon!

The second we walked in, we were greeted by a cheerful hostess and sat down in a cozy waiting area. We were seated in the wine room and it was perfect- noise level was significantly reduced and the ambience was cozy, comfy, and intimate. Food was delicious. We started with $1 oysters and overindulged. Their short ribs are phenomenal, all their sides didn’t disappoint- cheesy potatoes I could eat every day, French onion was fab. Great place to celebrate a birthday! They brought us 3 decadent desserts and no crumbs were left behind. Our server was friendly and attentive. Definitely will return. P.S. May have had an off day on the steaks... both our friends didn’t like their steak and it did look overcooked but other than that everything we ate was fantastic.

Awesome food. Awesome service. Abby was our server and she was awesome. Had the NY strip and it was perfect. Highly recommend the cheesy potatoes too. It's a bit off the beaten path east of Michigan Ave but well worth it. Great ambiance and decor as well. Been to Dallas and Denver III Forks before and this did not disappoint at all. Would definitely go back. Highly recommended. Dessert was great too. Had the bread pudding and also Chocolate peanut butter somethingoranother. They were excellent!

Great place to eat, especially for special occasions! I would highly recommend this amazing place. The food was delicious and Steaks were perfect. The food was pretty fair in price but def worth it in price and portion. Shoutout to the awesome waiter, Tony for allowing our anniversary date to be special. He is the VIP for the complimentary cake and finding us a place on their rooftop. The view is phenomenal, so that was the extra icing on the cake for the perfect celebratory date.

I was so surprised that this classy joint has Friday drink specials! Any vodka or bourbon drink (even mules and manhattans) was eligible. We stopped in for one drink, stayed for two and had the most amazing onion rings ever (seriously, that alone is worth the trip!). We also tried the fries (great!) And the lamb meatballs (tasty but skimpy) . The bartenders were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend. The vibe in the restaurant is really nice. It's a unique location with a fantastic roof deck. It was a bit chilly the day we were there, so we didn't spend much time there. The park the restaurant looks over is very pretty - a little oasis right in the middle of downtown! So cute! That said, aside from happy hour, this is not the place to go for a reasonably priced meal. Some steaks are $100+! Based on the food I had, in sure they're very delicious, however, the prices on the main menu are steep. Maybe good for a night out (just not a first date) or if you really want to try a rare cut of beef (pun intended). If you're headed here, you can't see the restaurant from Randolph, so be sure to turn down the side road. Enjoy!

My boyfriend and I were celebrating 3 years together and we wanted to treat ourselves to a really nice dinner. III Forks did not disappoint! It was also restaurant week and the deals were great. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, appetizers were tasty, and the dessert was delicious. The servers were nice, patient, and knowledgeable of the menu. We will be back!

I came here mid week for the happy hour. Half priced burgers and $1 oysters. They have an excellent selection of both easy and west coast oysters. The waiters are excellent and friendly. Maybe get a reservation if you want to sit at a table instead of the bar. My friends and I had a great time. It's a great deal and I'll return.

Drinks are ok. Happy hour is very limmited on items.

The atmosphere is outstanding as is the view and above all the food. The salad was light and fresh. The lobster mac and cheese was a great side and filet was done to order. A very nice outdoor dining experience.

Good quality food. But way too expensive for what you get. And the ambiance more resembles a suburban-sterile restaurant than the “‘Corinthian-leather’, Frank-Sinatra-would-eat-here” ambiance that these prices should command. If the prices were half, I’d give 5 stars.

N
Neamen Lewis

Great rooftop! A true diamond in the rough. It's a little off the beaten path and away from the busy downtown environment nestled in a nice low key community. The drinks are great. I ordered the Moscow Mule and it was served in a cool little tin mug. The lobster role was just ok but the other food items on the menu looked delicious.

3 Forks is a great restaurant and you can't go wrong going there. You can even go again and again, the food, the wait staff, and the facilities are all top notch. Prices are reasonable, not inexpensive but what you'd expect for the whole. The reason I don't give it 5 stars is that it feels like a well run corporate establishment playing it conservative, give them what they expect. My fifth star will be when I see a little personality come through, with a risky choice on the menu, or even the chef coming out and being a little more intimate than a corporate consultant would recommend.

They had an awesome roof top bar and dining section at this place. The drinks were great and the food was good. Now I got the burger which was good, but for a burger regularly priced at $18, I would have expected more. I would recommend going during their happy hour because the burgers were half off and there are some drink specials. The view and the setting on the roof top was excellent, it was a little chilly but they had heaters in certain areas to warm up the place. If you are looking for a nice place to get away and have some tasty cocktails and good food, I would recommend this place.

K
Kelli Perkins

Great customer service from wait staff with fine attention to details. Food was good not great (my short ribs were a little tough) and the food quantity was typical of a downtown Chicago steak house. Very accommodating for large group dining. Noisy and dimly lit but the staff was very nice to us by brightening the lighting upon our request. I'd definetly return.

W
Wendy Tan

The Hostess downstairs was the worst I've encountered. I walk in and not only am I the one to initiate a greeting as she stared down at her screen the entire time. Finding my reservation but not advising where my party was seated. The wait staff was wonderful and attentive. Drinks took a while to be delivered. Ambiance is wonderful with a gorgeous layout and a rooftop decked with a fireplace and a fire pit. Love the location. Food was prepared well.

Heather

I believe this place is a bit of a hidden gem. It's very much outside the realm of places I typically frequent because of it's odd location, but it's worth staking out. The rooftop is exquisite. I'm definitely smitten with the executive chef, whom I had the pleasure of meeting. He's from Austin and brings a charming laid back vibe to this rather upscale establishment. The food is elegant and down to earth at the same time. I really enjoyed the house beverage that was recommended to me. I want to say it had some sort of cucumber vodka and about ten other ingredients. It was the perfect refreshment for a hot, summer evening on a gorgeous patio. Did I mention it had a fireplace?

A
Ann K

The waiter was nice, but the food was subpar. The lobster Mac and cheese was bland and only had one or two pieces of lobster in it for $20. I ordered my steak medium well, but the inside was bloody. This restaurant is in a good location, but the food is not “to die for”

A bit of a disappointment... We have been in other 3-Forks elsewhere in the US, and had excelent idea of the restaurant. The expectations to this one were thus high. We had dinner in the terrace, in a summer day, crossing the twilight into night. The terrace had a great view, and was very nice once night settled,, with the skyscrappers surronding the restaurant, but during twilight the ammount of flying insects is really a nuisance. (So reserve for late, if you are going to the terrace). We then had a New-York strip and the filet mingon. For non-US, the size of most steaks is excessive, so we would probably recomend going there with a small group and sharing. The meat was good - but below expectations, The side orders were roasted mushrooms and spinach, which once again where nice, but we will forget them in one week. Overall service was of similar style - nice, but really not at the expected quality level. Overall, this was 125 US$ per person (we had a bottle of wine, not very expensive), which is simply not worth it. We do not really plan to return, with so many nice places around Chicago on that price range.

Traditional steakhouse in Chicago. The food was good, but I was disappointed that the NY Strip was initially served rare and cold (I ordered it medium rare and expected it to be served hot on the outside, with a cool/rare center). They quickly addressed the problem, but the Chef was also a little heavy handed with the salt. Nice selection of wines, and a nice bar. Nice ambience. Overall, it was good, but there are better steakhouses in Chicago at this price.

T
Tif Bleu

Brandon was my server. He was nice. I ordered 2 lobster dishes, both were over-priced as the amount of the lobster Mac was 20 bucks and the portion had 2 tiny bits of lobster in it. Very bland as well and not cheesy at all. The lobster appetizer that I ordered as my main dish also wasn't worth the price but this dish was too Salty. There was no rooftop seating available but I'm sure that is the best part of the experience III Forks offers.

We went to 3 Forks this weekend for my husbands and one of my good friends birthday. I had called earlier in the day to ensure they knew it was a birthday celebration but was greeted and sat then the hostess comes to the table and asks did you have a reservation?? What?!! Recommendations were not good. Disappointed with the desserts. No candle for dessert even though the table next to us were celebrated. Every table around us received a round of a specialty drinks we did not. We will never go back. Very disappointing and definitely not worth the $650 bucks we spent!

E
Erica Johnson

I recently celebrated my BFF's birthday here and was totally dissatisfied. The service was amazing and that's it. We had about 20 people. 5 people had to have their steak returned because it was over-cooked to where you couldn't cut it. When it was retuned, they must have cooked it 30 seconds on each side HORRIBLE!! They gave each person 3 asparagus and a tablespoon full of potatoes. The lobster bisque soup was watery and the serving size was about 3 tablespoons- RIDICULOUS!! All for the wonderful cost of -$75. This was my first and last time here. They deserve 1 star because the serving staff was amazing. An
