Opinions de Lee's Sandwiches Chino
The food was one of the most delicious sandwiches I have ever eaten. The barbeque beef was perfect but they should stir fry the onions for a little bit and toast the bread. The workers were extremely nice and they cooked my food nicely. The story is a little small and hard to fit in more than 20 people
No dine in very small place but plenty of tables outside to eat. Coffee & Sandwiches are the best. And it's usually the shift is run by very nice women. So I suggest being nice and polite to them because they are making your Sandwiches & make great ice coffee drinks & smoothies..
*Edit* I've been disappointed. The employees closed up everything but sandwiches a full 30 minutes before closing. They even closed the register and were only accepting cards as payment. The man who told us this had an uncaring attitude so we left and went next door for food. Won't be coming back anytime soon. *Previous review 3 yrs ago* My sandwich for lunch tasted good and it was fresh. We had their day-old bread with soup for supper. I haven't been disappointed yet.
Best Vietnamese coffee around hands down. Their egg rolls are great fresh and their sandwiches are delicious.
Lee's is a classic Vietnamese style baguette sandwhich. I loved getting these out in LA and love them now that they are near me. The classic is the #5. The bbq pork, pickled veggies, and jalapeños are so good.
Since I live really close to this Lee's location, I go here all the time. Those who haven't been, it's a Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwich) shop where they basically make sandwiches from baguette bread. Personally my favorite at this store is the Grilled Chicken Sandwich which is very good and pretty cheap at under $4. Those who need a little morning or afternoon boost can also get the Iced Coffee which is Vietnamese style so it's very strong and very sweet.
Lee's is a really good place to get sandwiches in Chino Hills. They have wonderful bread and croissants and I especially like their chicken sandwiches. They also have really good smoothies and iced teas. This is a very healthy option for sandwiches much more than most sub places.
As a child, there was a restaurant, specifically a pizza place, that had the most delicious ham sandwich. They close down, many many many years ago. But that sandwich that they had was memorable. It was nothing fancy, just some ham, cheese, mayo, on some bread, but I tell you it was a delicious sandwich that stuck with me through all of my childhood teens and adult life. My mom and I went to a different location for this restaurant and just happened to order a ham sandwich and as quite a shock to me, it was almost identical to the sandwich. I grew up eating. I recently changed locations of where my office is and I saw that they had this restaurant pretty close by. I went in and got myself another sandwich and I was so happy.
After six attempts, I finally got my hands on the grilled pork sandwich — my go-to at Lee’s. I’ve tried the BBQ pork (also solid), but nothing hits the spot quite like the grilled pork. This location is small, with only outdoor seating, so just keep that in mind. Customer service is always friendly, and there’s never much of a wait. Just be aware that the grilled pork tends to sell out early — a testament to how good it is. Also worth noting: their baguette bread is some of the best I’ve had in a while. Lee’s clearly knows what they’re doing, which explains why their best items go fast!
This place is so good, 1 ordered 2 banh mis to go for me to eat for my flight home and omg the size! The banh mis are long and fully loaded with veggies and meat. I also ordered 5 eggrolls, and a chicken puff thing, it was so savory and flaky! I come here everytime before I fly home to WA. Inside was clean and the service was friendly and quick.
The person behind the counter was pleasant and considerate. The food came out quickly and was absolutely amazing, divine, and a gastronomic delight. The coffee was delicious and electric, very refreshing on a hot day. All in all if you've never tried, I highly recommend dac biet (combination 11 at this store).
The best sandwiches ever! The grilled pork sandwich is amazing, the bread is super fresh and the veggies are delicious with a awesome spicy kick to add more flavor to your experience!
I was surprised to find a Lee's sandwiches in the area since there isn't too many or any. I actually ordered online for take out since I was visiting a friend at the hospital and was taking him some good sandwiches because we all know how hospital food taste like right? Lol I ordered the ham&turkey baguette with very light mayo as we were following doctors orders :) and also tea. I for myself got a ham sandwich baguette, I had the extra mayo on mine and ordered their original iced coffee.

Special shout out to the hard working employees! Danny, Carla & Gina are the best. Thank you!
I have been at Lee's Sandwich for many times. I love their variety of vietnamese sandwiches and my husband likes their European Sandwiches styles. Especially, I love their vietnamese coffee and smoothies as well. The only downside of this place is small and their staffs are not friendly much.

This location is clean and inviting. My only frown is because the chicken wings are SUPER salty. I couldn't really enjoy them, AND there is no Louisiana hot sauce here. The staff was great so you will still get 4 stars. But only 2 stars on the wings because I couldn't eat them. I feel like I'm dehydrating as I'm writing this and I only ate 2 wings. Anywho, hope the cook see this and makes an adjustment.
We’ve been eating these sandwiches from this and other Lee’s sandwich shops for many years. There are served quickly and not heavy. The only minor complaint is that there were no pastries today, which I always get when I come to this tiny shop. There were outdoor seating to eat your sandwich and enjoy some sun.
love Lee's sandwiches only thing is that they are understaffed and it took me about 10 to 15 minutes to order. Not only that but they gave me a small drink when I asked for a large. so any who, other than that it's really good.
They make pretty good sandwiches. The drinks are fantastic if you want a tropical slush to cool off. So things... well you just have to have a taste for vietnamese food. What we got was delicious and that's all that counts right???
Vegetarian is really good. The bread is great and it’s all very flavorful. It’s $2.50 off on Sundays. If it has been full price I think it would have cost too much, considering it’s the same price as sandwiches with meat in it. I recommend it!
I am a little sad about this place. It was so nice to eat here before. My favorite sandwich is #11 special combination … but not anymore I guess! Visited this place with my friend for a quick lunch date and when we got our sandwich is was like …. Did I order the same thing like I used to ? How come there’s no meat and the paste….. the only thing I see is the sour turnip I guess the economic has been really bad…. You can maybe adjust the price accordingly instead of giving your customers a shock 😓
I love Lee's coffee, especially since they put crushed iced in their cups, more coffee would be nice but nice it's already nice and strong i guess that's good enough. The sandwiches are good but sometimes they can be a little stingy with the meat. Like the roast beef my sister ordered, only had like one strip, so her sandwich had more veggies than meat.

Tried the croissant bacon and egg sandwich. SUPER BUTTERY. Vietnamese coffee is pretty good but different as it almost tastes like chocolate milk.
Other locations all open at 7:09 even earlier 6:30. This location is at 8:00. Hope you can open like other locations.

Added one star for the coffee. I love vietnamese coffee don't know what they put in it but continue with it. Starbucks has nothing on you. Not a fan of the sandwiches. Doesn't taste good. Bread is too small, dry, rough and hard to chew. Ingredients aren't good either it just tastes and looks very generic. Highly recommend the coffee but stay away from the sandwiches. There's better elsewhere.
Went to get sandwiches tonight. My husband ordered a milk tea with no ice. We wait for our order. His cup is half full. He asks the girls why it's half full. They both walked away without saying anything. He waits a minute to see if they are going to fill the cup up. They didn't come back so he goes to register and asks if they are going to fill the cup up? The girl responded that the recipe only calls for 9oz on the drink. $6.54 for a 9oz drink with no ice, that's ridiculous. He asked for a refund. No apology or anything from the girls working the counter.
Very small shop so it smells stuffy. Long wait for orders. Bathroom smelly as well. Every chair outside the shops got tiny bird drops on them. Be sure to keep your kids from touching the chairs back.
This is probably judging a book by its cover, but the "B" sanitary rating sign didn't make me feel confident for a restaurant serving something as simple as sandwiches. The sandwiches tasted okay but felt pricey for what they were. Remember to eat them right away while the baguettes are crispy, otherwise they get stale later.

Lee's use to be one of my favorite quick vietnamese places but lately, every location that i've gone to has spiraled so bad. The service is usually close to horrible and the food comes out just okay. AND THE PRICE? MY GOD, its so expensive

Honestly from paying $4 for these sandwiches to paying $10 is kindda ridiculous. The prices for these are out of control. These steep prices aren’t worth for a 10 inch sandwich. Probably will not be returning anymore. The bbq pork lacks flavor on top of everything.
Today, I bought 5 pork rolls along with 2 grilled chicken. All 5 pork roll had a very bad smell to it once we opened the sandwich. I ended up having to throw all 5 away. I was very dissappointed today, especially since I originally wanted 4 grilled chicken but they ran out of stuff to make the grill chicken. I wonder if they were also running out of fresh pork roll.
I LOVE Lee's Sandwiches and have been going to their various locations for years. This location could have been better, hence why I am giving them a 2/5 rating. The cashier working at the front was male and Latinx looking, and while he seemed friendly and nice, he didn't seem to understand me?... Maybe it was my mask. But I was speaking loud? Anyway, I ordered #12 vegetarian without jalapeños, and the sandwich came with jalapeños. Totally fine, I easily took them out. But the thing is, I had to say #12 three times and I said vegetarian each time, and at first he thought I said #23 and then #43?... I told him I am vegetarian and if I could please get the vegetarian #12. Maybe his mind was elsewhere else that day. Wait time was long, 30+ minutes to get the sandwich. My cousins who also ordered were given very little meat on their sandwiches... and the sandwiches were not sliced in half (usually they are whenever we order them... maybe we have to ask them in the future if they can slice the sandwich). The bread tasted a bit tough and not as fresh as other Lee's Sandwiches locations. The staff seemed to have a good time working there though, we can hear lots of fun laughs and chatter, which is great! But I just wish our food was made with more attention to detail and there was better customer service, that's all. Parking was awful, it was so crowded, but that's nothing to do with Lee's. Hopefully next time when I come back it will be a better experience!

Ordered a LG milk tea and they hand me half full cup of milk tea I ask why is it half full and they walk away without even answer me I go back to register and ask again and they say receipt is only 9 Oz I've never dealt with something so fraudulent ICE DOES NOT COST 3.50 you try to support local business and they do this never again don't spend your money on business like this they must go out of business for fraudulent things like this
The bread is very chewy and the roast pork is very hard and chewy. What happened?
For the last 3 take out orders on different days, the deluxe sandwiches did not have mayonnaise and pate. Like usual, the place was crowded with customers. The staff were also overwhelmed with phone orders. I believe the staff usually skips the spreads whenever it is rushing. The spreads give lots of flavor. I think this is extremely unprofessional. I am disappointed with the only Vietnamese sandwich shop in the area.
The visit I had, does not deserve any stars. The Croissant didn't look or taste like one. I asked for avocado and they only put 2 little slivers 🙄 if you are looking for the real deal... You have got to try Lee's sandwich spot at the address below, they know how to build the perfect sandwich 🥰 3519 Van Buren Boulevard ste 107 Riverside, CA 92503
The product is just average, very average, and can only be eaten outdoors as it is very hot.
Their sandwiches are very expensive now, but they're not bad. I only rate it 1 star because the girl at the counter told me that I'd get fresh 10' baguette for 2$ each; however, they only reheat the day old baguette and gave them to me. I've worked as a baker before so I know which bread are fresh and which are not. Don't lie if you're serving food.
I usually get the regular iced coffee, but I didn't know they had more flavors like mocha! I asked more about it and she seemed annoyed, mind you there was no one behind me. There were 2 guys and 2 girls working. The girl that took my order was unprofessional, she raised her voice at me, there is a clear plastic divider, so I thought maybe she's just trying to speak louder, but even her tone was off. When she gave me the order she was also rude and no thank you. I asked her for a bag and she just rudely dangled the bag to give it to me. The guys were cleaning but she's slow and takes her time because she just gossips with the other girl in the back. Her French tip acrylic nails also looked really dirty which is a concern if she handles the food and drinks (which may contribute to why the store Food rating is a B) Supposedly her name is Tina but upon asking for her name she was hesitant. She was working on Sat, 1/29 and wore a hot pink long sleeve at about 3pm.
I have been going to various Lee’s sandwich location. Most of them are delicious, quick service. But today was a total nightmare with this location. Can you imagine waiting a sandwich for almost 20min while you were the only customer there. The most sad thing was the employees werent wearing any mask and talking while making the sandwich.
Just came in to get a sandwich at 7:45pm . They said they stop making them at 7:30pm. I called prior to coming but no one picked up the phone so since they didn’t pick up I couldn’t place an order. There should be a sign or something that states that so ppl will not waste time nor gas coming here.
I love going to Lee’s Coffee, but the cashier who was working on Sunday November 3,2024 at around 12:00pm is simply rude. It is not the first time my family has been helped by her, on both encounters she has been rude. The second time my husband got off alone and asked what non coffee based drinks are served since it’s for our son her response was “we’re at a coffee shop” a simple we don’t serve non coffee based drinks would have been fine. No need for the attitude.
Came in and the asked for light ice and got this as a drink. Haven’t drank from it, usually when getting light iced coffee shops will let you know that it will be less coffee or will suggest extra pour of water or milk. Nope not here the cashier just gave me a mean smirk and handed me the coffee. I’ve gone to multiple Lees sandwich shops and never had this issue.
The girl In the photo gave us the worst customer service ever ! Wasn’t helpful ! Did not offer any items ! First time here and will be my last ! She kept rolling her eyes and and giving us bad attitude ! Go to another Lee’s!!! Please ! Food was horrible gave us food poisoning ! I found a hair in one sun and threw it out ! Do not go there ! I called to complain and I imagine the same girl who took my order said too bad they can’t prove it wasn’t their hair and he can’t do anything ! Would want a refund but doubt this place would do this ! I would give them -100000 stars but can’t !

Supposed to be open at 8am, we're here at 8:20 and it's closed. There's someone inside and we're just being ignored. If the time is incorrect please fix, Both Google and your signage. We were hoping to catch a quick bite on our way to work but the employees had other plans I guess
Very disappointing experience at Lee’s Sandwiches today, mainly due to misleading promotions and poor service. The blackboard outside clearly stated: “3–6 PM: Buy one sandwich, get the second half off.” I ordered two sandwiches, but my receipt showed no half-off discount at all. When I asked a female staff member, she first gave me completely incorrect information, claiming it was a morning coffee promotion, which had nothing to do with what was written on the board. After she checked my receipt and realized there was no discount, she called over a male staff member. He then said the discount was already applied and that I “saved $2,” explaining the sandwich was originally $10. That makes no sense — half off should be $5, not $2. Then he changed the explanation again and said that since I ordered grilled pork, there was already a Friday special and discounts cannot be combined. Here’s the problem: • I ordered two grilled pork sandwiches — why would only one be discounted? • The blackboard never stated “only one per order” or “cannot be combined with other offers.” The rules seemed to change on the spot depending on who I talked to. I stopped arguing because it was pointless. To make things worse, I ordered a coffee with less ice, and the cup was about 80% ice. When I pointed this out, I was told, “That is less ice,” and then blamed with, “You already drank it.” How else am I supposed to see that the cup is mostly ice without taking a sip? No apology, no clear explanation — just silence and indifference. I will not be coming back. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
