Opinions de Raising Cane's Citrus Heights
The food was awesome much better than I expected. Also the sauce that they got is bomb I can't even tell you exactly what it tastes like I just know that I liked it a lot. The people were very friendly and helpful as I had never been there before. The atmosphere was dope as they had the story of how they got their name on the wall and a bunch of disco balls making it a really fun place just to be in. Not sure why but we did get some selfies with the manager as well 🤷🏾♂️💯
First time having Raising Cane’s and have an eating disorder, the sauce alone had me eating the food like I depended on it. 100% will be eating again. And 100% will recommend. I would add a photo but I ate the food in minutes rather than hours. Thank you Raising Cane’s for making food good for me again. Sincerely.
I ate here and was really impressed! The flavor of the chicken was outstanding, like it's crunchy but still tender. The sides were pretty good too. The staff were friendly as well.
Always enjoy this location. It's clean, the food is good, and the staff is friendly. For 2 of us, we buy the Caniac, trade out the coleslaw for another bread, and add a small fountain drink for about $22.
Overall a great experience to have with friends and family. The workers are beyond nice and make your food super fast. I always feel full and satisfied when eating here. Just like when I hear about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, spiritually full. Highly recommend for all to come here and fuel up!
This is the first time I have been to this location and it was amazing! They serve amazing sweet tea and lemonade as well as a ton of soda options. Their chicken strips are the best in fair oaks. The prices are perfect for everything you get. I don’t know why anyone would want to go anywhere else for chicken strips in this area.
This was my first time trying Raising Cane’s Chicken. The staff was pleasant, the wait time wasn’t to bad considering the line and the food was nice and hot when I received it. The chicken had a great crunch. The coleslaw was crispy. The butter bread was a treat to have. I’m not normally a fan of crinkle fries, but these were fantastic. Overall everything was good but the sauce took it to the next level.
Since this is the only location in sacramento and the hype is wild, expect to wait 30+ minutes for your food. It's well worth the wait though! Their chicken is super yummy. It's crisp, crunchy, tender and very juicy. The sauce goes along with it well and the sourdough bread is really good! Their fries are average and decent just regular fries but their coleslaw is very good too. Overall a great experience, 10/10 would try again.
Now that they are finally open this place is BUSY BUSY BUSY! Waited in line for about an hour. The line was huge but it was totally worth it! I have never tried this place before but everybody has told me how good it is. The food was great. Perfectly Cooked, juicy chicken strips. Fries were good, sauce is delicious, as well as the Cole slaw. I like that they give you Texas toast with it as well. The staff was very friendly. For as long as the line was it actually went by pretty quick. I will be returning and definitely recommend to anyone who has been thinking about going.
It was good, service was great! I wish I would have remembered the name of the lady at the front - she was so enthusiastic and happy to be there. She was very good with customers and made everyone feel welcome (she actually made my day - I enjoy being around people like her with enthusiasm). Overall, it was a little different than what I expected. I'm not a huge fan of French fries, but I like the crinkle cut style. Cole slaw was good, wished it was slightly larger. The toast was interesting, but not a huge bread fan. Didn't care for the sauce - it just was lacking something? Chicken was great - next time I want to try the chicken sandwich. I'm glad they have Coke and not Pepsi!!
My family love this place even though the price went up, one thing we just notice the fries is salty you have to tell them, I forgot several times to tell them no salt or less salt if not your fries is like covered with salt. But oveall it's all good.
I hate to leave a bad review but my chicken and my girls chicken tasted like it was fried in cigarette ash. It’s been about 20m since I ate that bite and I still can’t get the taste out of my mouth. Legit tasted like cigarette ash with a hint of chicken. Also seemed like there was no supervisor on duty. There was craziness going on that I can see through the drive through window.
I took my daughter here to support a fundraiser at her school. I got her the box that comes with 4 chicken fingers, coleslaw, Texas toast and a drink. She rated the chicken a three because it had little flavor. The sauce tastes like thousand Island with a little hot sauce and pepper, it is good though. I don't understand the hype about this place, its just chicken fingers, nothing fancy.
First let me explain this rating. I heard so many wonderful things about this food establishment, I just had to go! Well, after sitting in line for over an hour it was our turn to order. The menu is quite brief with no dessert options. Meh, ok...We placed our order then received it but it was incorrect however, they quickly made the corrections. Well, you see my problem is the hype doesn't pair well with reality. In my opinion the fries were pale and undercooked and the sauce was so, so. The chicken did not have an Hour Long Wait Wow Factor! The buttered toast ,bread ,whatever was only buttered on one side. The employees were great and pleasant despite the lines they were calm and cool. But, I'm so sorry I will not be recommending or returning.
I was excited to try the chicken after all the hype I’ve heard. I’m not impressed with the chicken at all. Bland breading, like not even salt. The sauce is mid. Like a Mac sauce but a little sweeter tang to it, not a fan of it. The fries taste good and probably the best part of the meal but they are like a school lunch fries. The bread has no flavor. I would never go back. Safeway has better chicken.
Went to this location once a few months after they opened and the lined started to die down. I ordered one full meal and then I asked for sauce at the window and they required me to pay for dipping sauce. I havent been back since. I hope they improved since then.
Will I return? Yes. Is the food great? Yes. Is the staff nice? Yes do i ever get my order right? Never. I ordered a caniac combo with drink. And 2 extra sauces. And i always order a kids order to have for lunch the next day. Today i was feeling like toast so I said ad la one more slice of Texas toast on the side. I pay go to the window. The lady reads off my order hands me the drink which is correct then hands me the kids drink which is correct then hands me a bag and i ask are the extra sauces in there because those have been forgotten in the past. She says yep all is in there. So let’s be real I wanted a tender on the drive home so i open the small one assuming it’s the kids meal and it’s 2 toasts…then i opened the big one and its just a ton of fries tenders and the regular 2 sauces so I pull back into the drive threw tell the kid what happened he waves me through i get up to the window the girl looks at me I explain what i did and didn’t get and she replies with “what do you want” im thinking what i ordered so to make it easy i say i want a kids meal because i already got the order for that and my 2 sauces I never got. So i got that but i also ended up with bread doubled buttered (didn’t even know that was a thing) and never got coal slaw. Either way got majority of my food to make them happy would have been to hard to try and get it correct i guess. Will i be back yeah i will i love canes but whoever is at the window double check dont just shove food at each car and hope for the best and the drive through line wasn’t even busy I drove around the second time with no cars in front of me. My receipt said Kaya on top sorry if this gets you in trouble but it wasn’t accurate
I’m sorry, but I don’t go To canes that often and the time that I craved, it was really not OK. I had more breading than chicken. The portions were smaller. I understand inflation but if I’m gonna pay $40 for three meals, I should have a meal not just the crumps/breading I really want my $40 back to be honest. Unacceptable.
I went through the drive up October 1st, 2025 at approximately 6:38 PM. The female taking my order would not acknowledge my question three times. I asked her repeatedly if they had root beer as a soft drink. She kept saying will there be anything else? Will there be anything else? and she would not acknowledge my question. Finally, she said yes I already got that. It was not a pleasant experience. I paid for the food, and canceled the order to reverse the charge on my card. When I got there, there was no one in line. Now I see why. Offering poor level of service, I can understand why there’s no longer lines at Canes. i’m sure other people would rather eat at other places with today’s prices being so high where they can get better service.
Food tasted good but I got a 6 piece tender meal and 2 of my tenders were the size of a kids chicken nugget. About 1 inch each. Crazy you would have the nerve to rip people off paying 20$ for a meal. Picture added next to the sauce cup for scale. 2 out of the 6 were super small. Y'all gotta do better. If they're that small, double them up or something.
