Absolutely loved this spot. Everything felt fresh, polished, and incredibly well maintained. The bartenders really knew their craft and served cocktails that were smooth, balanced, and memorable. The frites were perfectly done and paired beautifully with a variety of rich and flavorful aiolis. We also tried the tuna tartare, and it completely stole the show. The taste and texture were outstanding, and it is still on my mind. An overall fantastic experience that deserves every bit of a five star rating.

We had a lovely brunch at BrightSide. It was a light, romantic, and airy atmosphere. The Queen Bee and Mr. Grey Sky cocktails were delicious. I had the Salmon Benedict, and my partner had the Chorizo Burger which were both fresh, creative, and full of flavor. The seasoned potatoes and rosemary-garlic fries were standout sides. Can’t wait to go back!

What a beautiful restaurant! Our first stop in Cleveland to celebrate our anniversary. Exceptional meal. Perfect service. Child friendly. Such a vibe! PS: Extra thank you to our waiter who saved the day ♡

My sister went to Bright Side for Brunch on Saturday and took my God Daughters. Everyone LOVED the food and the music was a great touch! There was a DJ and we left with the girls saying they wanted to work here someday. Excellent service, oh and don't forget to order the Salmon Benedict - absolutely delicious! Thanks for a great experience, worth every penny and we'll be back soon!

This place is very nice and super clean. The bartenders were knowledgeable and made delicious cocktails. The frites were really good and the aiolis were all top notch. We also got the tuna tartare and I'm still thinking about how good it was.

It was really nice! I loved the gold wall they had i and even took some pictures with it! I ordered the fries 🍟 and burgers 🍔 which didn't cost too much. I'm definitely coming back soon, I want to try the other items on the menu!

We only got drinks and a pizza (was so hungry forgot to take better pics). The pizza was very delicious amd so were the drinks.

Nice spacious restaurant with unique menu. I have been for brunch and got the asparagus benedict and the Yolky-Chorizo burger. Both were good, benedict was best i have had in a long time with salmon tar tar, asparagus, and hollandaise. The fries were also surprisingly tasty. They had sprigs of rosemary and garlic cloves in them which gave great flavor. Service was friendly, but slow. Atmosphere was cool. Lots of bar seating, a bunch of big booths and plenty of other tables. Looks like some outdoor tables too when it is a little warmer. Interested in going back for dinner. Will be back again.

We hosted our wedding rehearsal here for 28 guests and had the most wonderful time!! We even told the Ritz Carlton to recommend their future weddings to host events here. Prior to the event, Justin was very communicative. He made sure to have everything ready to go for us. He purchased decorations and was there to greet us upon arrival. He made sure we felt like we were treated like we were first class! I never went without a drink in my hand. We had purchased the buffet option with steak and fish. We also had the carrot cake for desert (see photo).HIGHLY recommend the carrot cake. Everyone was raving about it and the appetizers. We seriously couldn’t have picked a better place. The space was huge and beautiful.

Brightside was a fun place for a Sunday brunch with quite a few drink options. Recommend the Crowaffle sandwich and Sunnyside pizza. The service was great and the original gold ceiling was a fun touch. Would go back again.

Brightside was the perfect location for my baby shower! Bryan was a joy to work with, the staff were incredibly kind, and everyone loved the brunch spread, mimosas, and space. The Emerald Room has the perfect layout for a party, with it's own bar and space set off from the rest of the restaurant. I highly recommend hosting your special event here (or also just going for dinner and cocktails!)

There's been a lot of world traveling between my first visit to Bar Cento/Bier Markt and my most recent visit to Bright Side CLE -- but what a wonderful mix of new and old! The Pommes Frites were magical, as always. Love the ketchup and aioli -- my Filipino wife liked the garlic aioli more than me -- and the curry was kind of a miss. I appreciate that it's a good quality sauce but I didn't love it. EDIT: one of the flavor profiles I loved in Korea was 쌈장 (ssamjang) and I think it would go well with the fatty frites. Crispy Deviled Eggs were a nice twist. Maybe go down a size in eggs as it felt a little inflated, but it was still delicious and a wonderful texture. Spicy Chicken Pizza was great. I loved the twist on traditional flavor profiles and it's a great savory treat. Might be anathema but I'll say it: we took half of it home and it was better chilled/reheated. Last but certainly not least, the bone-in pork belly was a revelation. I lived in S. Korea for 4+ years and I'm used to 삼겹살 being chewy and fatty beyond belief... but yours is really something special. Additionally: the Old Zahm Märzen was superlative. Fantastic balance and is definitely in my top three all-time. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. We stopped for a quick dinner and had an excellent server in Faith. She was knowledgeable about the menu and made some great recommendations. The food was delicious and great drink and wine offerings. Would recommend the pork belly, wedge salad, chili chicken and banana pudding. Justin is the manager and was very friendly and welcoming to the guests. Love the atmosphere and decor. Will definitely come back and recommend to friends.

Food, drink, decor, service, atmosphere - excellent 👌🏾 For snack, hand cut fries cooked in duck fat with dipping sauces. Dessert was not your ordinary Carrot cake. Delicious!

is it fair to judge a place solely on their espresso martini. I think so. because it’s about the details here: there were layers of flavor, it wasn’t too much alcohol wasn’t too much coffee. Each sip was both dangerous and delicious. I drank one and blissfully floated away on a coffee foamed cloud.

Good Food Excellent Service The ambience was really nice. We had a gender reveal drink made and our server kept checking in to ensure we were getting excellent service. Drinks were impeccable.

Drinks are great, I like the Suit and Tie and the Painkiller. My wife loves the Lost in Osaka. The beef carpaccio (left) was delicious! Awesome flavor. The wagyu kebab was also good. The burger is always good. Staff is attentive and helpful, even when it's jam packed. Cool looking place, good music.

When we couldn't find an Easter brunch buffet with space left, we turned to local restaurants that serve brunch. A co-worker told me that she had made reservations at Bright Side, so I checked out the menu and it looked amazing. Reservations were very easy to make through Open Table. The food and drinks were truly top notch. My sister had the espresso martini, her boyfriend had the Bloody Mary, and I had the peach Bellini. All three drinks were excellent. My sister and I had the eggs benedict which we both really enjoyed. Her boyfriend had the soft scrambled eggs on top of challah toast. He loved the eggs and the home fries, but was not a fan of the toast. We started all this with the bagel board, of which I attached a picture. Everything was fresh and the ingredients were of high quality. Noise level is very good too as the space is large. We would definitely return if it fits our plans.

I was pleasantly surprised by Brightside! The pictures online do not do it justice. The service is amazing and the food is so good. I went on a Sunday and they have an all day brunch menu. I was also told that their menu changes often so make sure to check their website for the current menu 🩷

Damon was so great! So helpful, truly talked us through options on the menu, described different flavor combinations and options, and overall gave us a great first time experience. Thank you Damon for caring! Good customer service is rare these days and you proved it still exists!

The bar is very pretty and the drink service was good! It’s a unique offering on West 25th. While I like the upstairs renovations, I am a little nervous about how Speakeasy downstairs will turn out. I was a huge fan of the slightly grungy and dimly lit atmosphere because it set the perfect scene for a fun dance floor. I hope the vibe down there remains similar to what it was. If it matches the (gorgeous) upstairs, I fear it’ll be too bright and a little too stuffy for dancing. I hope they prove me wrong though!

S

Loved the duck fries with garlic and rosemary. Pizza crust was cooked the way a flatbread should be. Salmon with soba noodles was a very special dish. Salmon was seared perfectly but not over cooked, and the noodles were flavored perfectly.

C

Spicy chicken pizza was excellent. Bolognese was surprisingly bland. Fun place will try more dishes.

Recently held a private party of around 40 people in the back room and it couldn't have been better! Bright Side made the entire event so easy with pre selected packages and the Events Manager, Justin, was incredibly communicative, helpful and accommodating for decorating and last minute changes. Highly recommend if you're looking for an easy, low maintenance (and budget friendly!) party host.

We had our reception dinner/celebration here after we got married and I have so many good things to say. Bryan was so helpful and responsive during the whole process. Everything was amazing from the food, to the atmosphere and the service. I’m so happy and we will definitely be back here!!

Cleveland native, been here multiple times. It is not talked about enough! The brunch is phenomenal and the cocktails are delicious. We were here on Saturday March 29th and Paul was our bartender. He is the sweetest! We gave him creative freedom on our cocktails and he nailed it. We really enjoyed our time. If you have not been, you have to!

We hosted a baby shower in the Alice Room at Brightside - it was spectacular! The room was the perfect spot for our 20 guests, the food was incredible, the service was top notch. The entire booking/planning process was made so easily because of the Brightside staff, and we were thrilled with the entire event. I highly recommend booking Brightside for any celebrations or events!

Went with a group for a Galentine’s dinner and we had an incredible experience! Everyone’s food was great, service was great, and there were lots of fun drink options, including NA options. We especially enjoyed the Pommes Frites. Two orders for 7 people were perfect! We also had one person dining with us with a lot of dietary restrictions and they were easily able to accommodate her. Overall, it was a great experience.

Bright Side made our Rehearsal Dinner a fantastic time. They were our easiest wedding vender to work with which was a huge weight of our shoulders! Food and atmosphere were great, only place they could improve was by keeping us a little more in the know on what time to expect dinner to come out, desserts, additional food, etc. But overall 9/10 experience especially for the price.

Came for a Saturday night dinner as a first time guest. Sat at the bar (you are able to order the entire dinner menu there). Very good selection of cocktails and a decent beer list. We got the Brussels sprouts, pomme frites, and the cacio e pepe to share. All the food was extremely flavorful and delicious. I definitely recommend getting a few items to share. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere was very cozy and accommodating. 9/10 we will be back

Service and atmosphere are amazing Steak, fries classic food is always good 👍 Usually the sides I get are too salty or sour where I can't eat them. I got white beans and you can almost taste the metal pan it was cooked in and way too salty. I got the eggplant side and it was so sour too. I also got the ahi tuna appetizer and it was so much vinegar it was hard to eat. Improving sides would be very helpful because the eggplant parm and other foods are delish!

My firm chose Bright Side to have our New Years celebration dinner and the staff was fantastic. Great service and great food. We will definitely be back for future events!

Bright Side is clearly the spot to see and be seen in Cleveland! I visited for brunch, and had a somewhat mixed experience. Our reservation unknowingly placed us at a high top (which is a nightmare for my back issues) so we asked for another table, only to be told no, they were all taken - except no one ever arrived at the lower tables during our brunch. There were issues with the timing of food, with one entree arriving a solid 15 minutes before the other. Ultimately the food was good and the staff kindly removed the second entree charge without being asked, but it was an interesting experience!

Good atmosphere, overall good experience. Disco ball was a fun touch, kept the old ceilings. TV’s over the bar were unexpected. What I’ve always considered to be the best fries in town came out soggy and undercooked. The new sauce selection is disappointing, the old three mayo’s were a million times better.

We came here for brunch; it seems like this might be a great spot for dinner but we were in the area for brunch before leaving town. We got the squash pizza, Berry Crowaffle, and Pommes Frites. Squash pizza was a little weird - I get what they’re trying to do - but wasn’t for us. Crowaffle was the best thing we got - the berry compote and toppings made it delicious. Pommes Frites we’re a little more like steak fries than we would have wanted but loved the dipping sauces!

Nice vibe for the area, service was great. Food was kind of meh. Had the Ballin' Omlette, Mushroom Pizza and Milk Bread. All were just ok, nothing was outstanding that I'd go out of my way to try it again. All of our drinks from the bar were sub-par. Ranged from overly bitter to watered down.

Weirdest dirty martini I've ever had. Not salty at all. Weirdly menthol-y but otherwise great!!

Dined on 2/19/2023. The restaurant is beautiful and the drinks were AMAZING! We made brunch reservations for 1:30pm and I was really looking forward to trying the Crowaffle Foster however they were sold out! I was extremely disappointed! Our server wasn’t really attentive either, the bar maid brought us our drinks and helped us order another round which I felt the server should have done. We were happy to get the help from the bar maid thought. Hopefully things will be better when we dine again!

Food was good, but pricey, and portions were small for the price. Handcrafted cocktails were delicious, but also pricey. It wasn't that busy, but we had to find our waitress to request our check.

The atmosphere is nice in the dining area, but the bathroom was darker than the dining area, which I think is gross, and it wasn’t well stocked with toilet paper. I had to hand a stranger more toilet paper, so they can finish their business, thank God for girl code. I had the non-alcoholic drink called Seasonal Contrast: pineapple, coconut, lemon, spiced cranberry & blueberry puree, and the Citrus Salad: blood orange, grapefruit, tangerine, fennel, roasted almond, shaved endive, water chestnut, pomegranate-mint dressing. Both were good, but the salad had musty fruit in it I think it was the grapefruit, and some of the lettuce didn’t taste as fresh. Maybe because I only buy all organic foods. Nevertheless I took out the pieces of grapefruits and the rest of the salad was good, the water chestnut and roasted almonds was the best part of the salad. And the staff was super nice. And the other think I didn’t like the most was the way they did the bill. When you come in and you place an order for anything, they take your credit card and start a tab, that’s fine I don’t mind that part to make sure people don’t skip out on meals and drinks. Thing that gave them the ⭐️ ⭐️ rating is because of how the bill came dropped my whole experience. The bill was unnecessarily confusing they charge you for the food and what it might be if you was the tip on a written bill, but then they give you electronic device to cash out that shows exactly how much the bill is and the highest tip to give without showing the price of how much your bill would be in the end. Which is different from the print out they give you. I was so annoyed about the whole experience, first the portion size of the salad on a large plate, but a handful of salad, a small drink in a tall glass, the low lights in the bathroom, that was not well stocked, and then a confusing bill, and the restaurant was cold. And they left the entrance door open, so I had to eat with my winter coat on when I sat at the bar. I would love to go back and give them a second chance, because the atmosphere was nice, non-alcoholic drink was good and the staff was so super nice too and they had a lot of different choices on the menu.

Rating: 2/5 Stars Food: 1/5 Stars The food at Bright Side was extremely disappointing. I visited twice—once for brunch and once for dinner—and neither experience was enjoyable. During dinner, I ordered a pizza that was served burnt, which is unacceptable for any restaurant. While the server noticed the issue and had the meal covered, the fact that it even made it to the table in that condition left a bad impression. Unfortunately, my brunch dish wasn’t memorable in a good way either, further confirming that the food quality is lacking. Service: 3/5 Stars The service was average, but there were some clear areas for improvement. While the server was friendly and tried to resolve the issue with the burnt pizza, I felt she shouldn’t have delivered it in the first place. There was a lack of attention to detail that impacted my overall experience. However, she did make an effort to make things right, which is why I didn’t rate it lower. Atmosphere: 5/5 Stars The one saving grace of this place is its stunning atmosphere. Bright Side has a beautifully designed interior that makes it a pleasant environment to dine in. The decor is modern, stylish, and inviting, creating a comfortable setting that could make it a great spot to hang out with friends or family—if the food and service were up to par. Conclusion: Despite the beautiful setting and decent service, Bright Side fails where it matters most—on the plate. The burnt pizza and underwhelming brunch dish left me with a negative view of the food quality. Based on these two visits, I’m unlikely to return, and I can’t recommend this place to others unless significant improvements are made to the menu and kitchen execution.

Used to get Bar Cento sunny side pizza once every other week…. Brightside claims the kept that pizza on the menu….. it isn’t even close.. I mean the name is the same but this pizza is TRash…. I did eat one slice ..what a waste

We were warned that Bright Side isn’t very good but decided to check it out anyways. We should have listened! We are always excited to try out a new Cleveland restaurant but we were very disappointed this time around. Our table ordered 5 burgers and every single one was over cooked and on the verge of being a hockey puck. They add whole cloves of garlic to their fries, but leave the skin on so it doesn’t add any flavor and is a gross addition to your plate. My husband got the pork belly and it was cut incorrectly so it was all fat. Probably had less meat on it than the burger. Expected a lot more for the price. Only thing we had that was good was the butter board. Won’t be back, unfortunately.

J
Joseph Latorre

Is this worth $25 to you? It looks like left overs you'd feed a dog. Note that the server was told that the plate did not have $25 worth of food and they just threw a little more rice in it. Probably the worst recommended restaurant and not worth the try.

A
Angela N

How disappointing! I have never written a negative review. But, here goes. First, there was no street parking available and we had to pay over $10 to park a block away. Then, the restaurant was SUPER LOUD, mostly due to very loud music. I have a baby, so we checked the decibels and it rated at 81! We literally had to go next door to buy ear plugs for my baby to stay in the restaurant safely. 5 of us ate, 3 got one drink, 2 ordered just water, and our bill was still over $200! None of us took home leftovers because the portions were not that big. That has never happened with our family before. This is not Italian restaurant. It is a very trendy restaurant with a few Italian choices. It was honestly hard to choose what to order because everything was bizarrely made and/or seasoned. Nothing sounded very appealing. I ended up ordering Salmon on a bed of sushi rice. Now, I will eat basically anything. I have literally traveled the world eating bizarre stuff. I have never, and I mean never, not eaten my meal even if I didn't like it... until Bright Side. The "sushi rice" was so disgusting I couldn't eat it. My mom ended up eating it and giving me some of her burger to eat instead. She didn't like it either, but at least it was not inedible to her. She said it tasted heavily of capers which she typically likes but said were overwhelming in the rice. What are capers doing in sushi rice? My dad and brother said their meals were covered in capers as well. My brother also likes capers and said he had to scrape some of them off because they were so overwhelming in his meal too, which was different than mine. Finally, how do you call yourself an Italian restaurant and not offer bread at the table. The only positive I can say is that the service is good. You don't get one waiter like you do it all the other restaurants. There are different people taking care of your various needs. For instance, someone is going around filling waters, while another person is taking orders, and still other people are delivering drinks or food. We saw at least 5 different people over the course of our 1 hour meal.
