The flies are so bad they have to be health issue. I'm not talking 5 or 6, but 30-40 bombarding you while you try to eat. I tried really hard not to think about what the flies were like in the kitchen 🤢. It was also very hot inside the restaurant. The staff was very friendly & I feel sorry them having to work in that environment

If you enjoy tasteless dry tenders served cold instead of hot this might be the perfect place to burn your hard earned money. I couldn’t decide what was better, the creamy black pepper water (they call it “gravy” here), or the freeze dried okra (yes it’s that overcooked, and cold of course), and who doesn’t enjoy cold rolls? Especially when dipped in the creamy black pepper water smh. Oh and when you’re done eating all that amazing “food” definitely be sure you wash it down with the tea flavored sugar. I love sweet tea but Jesus Christ, I swear imagine taking a 32oz cup and filling the cup up 1/3 of the way with sugar and then pouring sweet tea into that same cup. That’s about the amount of “sweet” that this place handed me. In other words I’m probably a type 2 diabetic now and I could only manage 2 sips before wanting to hurl. In all seriousness, this was by far the worst experience of ANY chicken express I’ve ever consumed. And I have been eating chicken E probably at least once a week for 20 years now and idk if I can or will eat it again. Yes it was that disgusting. Please do better

This Chicken Express location serves inedible, stone-cold food that tastes days old, featuring greasy, rubbery tenders and burnt, stale sides. The gravy is consistently thin and cold, while other side items taste like a greasy, stale reheat. Expect to throw away your money and your food. The Chicken: Tenders were incredibly tough, chewy, and served freezing cold inside, suggesting they had been sitting out for hours. The Sides: Okra and corn nuggets were burnt to a crisp yet simultaneously cold and stale. Mashed potatoes were reported as cold as if they came straight from the refrigerator. The Quality: The food quality has drastically dropped, with many items tasting like they were re-fried in old oil. Avoid this place unless you enjoy wasting money on inedible food. We love chicken express normally so hopefully it’s just this crappy location.

If you want to waist an entire evening go through the drive through. I sat at the speaker for 20 minutes and not once did anyone come on to say “hey just one second” or “we’ll be right with you” just radio silence for 20 minutes. Seems like they scrape the bottom of the barrel to find employees. I’ve worked food service with chick fil a back in the day and that place gets wayyyyy busier, not once did I ever see anyone get service like I did/didn’t tonight. Yall suck.

The mens bathroom is absolutely disgusting. Urinal didn't flush! No paper towels to dry your hands? This is supposed to be a restaurant?! Ya'll need to do WAAAY better.

Waited 40 mins for one 4 piece meal while 3 cars behind me got their food first. Then when my food came out it was wrong. Horrible service!!!!

I would leave ZERO stars if possible. I sat in the drive through for over 30 minutes and when I got to the speaker, I was greeted and told that they would be with me in a few minutes to take my order. A few minutes later, he came back on the speaker to inform me that a group of 15 people had just came inside the store and they were going to help them first. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I explained how unprofessional that was after I had already been waiting in the drive through along with several other cars for so long and I was never going to spend my money at this store. I was told to have a good day. NOT A CARE IN THE WORLD.

It doesn’t matter what I order the chicken, tenders , livers and gizzards are always too salty. But I'm always trying to give this restaurant a chance but they continue to fail and on top of it I pay too much money for food that I can’t eat because it’s too salty. Not a satisfied customer. I do not recommend Chicken Express in Clyde Tx.

Pulled in to order something, lady tells me we close in 10 mins!!??? So why do you have business hours that state until 10!? I’m sorry but I even went to the window to tell the lady I would just make it easy and take anything y’all had available, met with hostility and had another guy behind her staring me down! Change your hours to 950 I’m sorry I’ve been on the road just trying to stop for quick bite and so happens I like stopping in Clyde before I get home on 3 hr drive! Never again When I was young my boss made us stay when cars came late and we didn’t shut down til all the cars had left the parking lot, but you guys close before your hours???

Just now went through drive-thru, #2 dr pepper drink. Lady was very rude. Handed me the drink I quickly put in cup holder of new truck (1,250 miles on truck) the hole drink leaked out and filled both cup holders. Had a hole in the bottom of cup. No I hadn't put a straw in the drink yet. Handed drink back to lady at window and she hands me a towel which quickly soaked up and needing another towel. She threw a hand full of napkins and said rudely "will that work?!" I just drove off. Will never be back. That lady needs to be fired.

Double check your orders before leaving drive thru. Just paid for 7 piece meal and got 4 tenders. Food wasn't bad, but paying for tenders and roll not received makes me iffy on coming back when I'm in a hurry.

For a place so expensive, they sure can't seem to get it right. Food is always over cooked and cold when it gets to us. Drinks are always wrong (sweet or unsweetened. Not that hard) and staff is usually rude. Not worth your time. Want good food? Get out of clyde.
