Unexpectedly Brilliant Afternoon!! Popped into Ivy Cobham on a bit of a whim and ended up having a fantastic lunch. Everything from the relaxed atmosphere to the beautifully cooked food hit the mark. Staff were friendly without hovering, and the whole place just felt easy and welcoming. Left very full and very happy. Already planning a return visit. 😄
Had a wonderful experience from the minute we arrived. We were greeting by the lovely Simona who asked us how we were and showed us to a delightful table. Our waitress Yaz was absolutely amazing, the service was outstanding, as was the food. The atmosphere is wonderful and the restaurant itself is beautiful. I will definitely be back very soon, thank you all.
We went to the Cobham Ivy for the 2 courses for £19.17 and the food was great! But what stole the show was the zucchini fritters, they were amazing. The cocktail menu is extensive and creative. The service was great, shout out to our server Aryan. Would definitely recommend!
I recently enjoyed a delightful breakfast at The Ivy Cobham Garden. The meal was excellent, and the green juice was particularly refreshing. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. While the restaurant offers private parking, the space is limited and fills up quickly. However, street parking is often available nearby, and there’s a public car park just a five-minute walk away. The atmosphere is especially charming during the festive season, with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree adding to the cozy ambiance. In warmer weather, the garden seating provides a lovely outdoor dining option. Overall, The Ivy Cobham Garden offers a wonderful dining experience with great food, attentive service, and a pleasant atmosphere.
The Ivy Cobham Garden is an absolute gem. The greeting was genuinely welcoming and made us feel immediately looked after. The service throughout was outstanding—attentive, professional, and friendly without being intrusive. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, perfectly complemented by a great selection of drinks. A truly excellent dining experience and one we’ll happily return to.
Although I m not really into English breakfast, the dishes that others from the group got were nice. I tried a nice caramel tart and a wake up juice. Pancakes and granola yoghurt also very good. Price above average, but it is cobham! Very nice and elegant atmosphere in a quiet Sunday morning.
Back again for a return visit and I’m happy to report this place is still a 5-star experience! We came in during a massive rush, but the service didn't skip a beat. Mr. Ganesh did a very nice job serving us; even with the high demand, he was attentive, fast, and kept a great attitude
for lunch on a Sunday and ordered the traditional fish and chips and the Ivy Burger. Both were spot on! We especially loved the creamy mushy peas that came with it (quite a discovery for us brazilians)! For dessert, we decided to share creme buele , which was absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself is stunning and sophisticated, with live jazz creating a beautifully fancy atmosphere. The service was equally excellent. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive, but honestly, that applies to the whole staff. Everyone was helpful and efficient. We had an amazing experience!
The Ivy never fails to offer a friendly, warm atmosphere, great service and well presented food. We didn't realise how big this restaurant was until inside as from the road it looks much smaller. Car park was very small and full so we parked a few minutes walk down the road. The waiter noticed a birthday card on the table that my wife had been handed from our grandson and as we finished, brought out a mini birthday cake with candle and we sang happy birthday. A special restaurant for a memorable birthday lunch.
We had a lovely evening to celebrate a birthday, the food was amazing! I would definitely recommend the Wednesday Steak Night menu and 1917, which are both very good value. The evening was made very special by our wonderful server Erika! We were very impressed by her attentiveness and lovely demeanour. We will be coming back!
We’ve visited many The Ivy restaurants over the years, but this was our first time at this location. It was actually an impromptu visit after a change of plans, and we were lucky enough to get a table as walk-ins. Not long after we arrived the restaurant became very busy and every table was filled, so we definitely felt fortunate to get a spot. As always with The Ivy, the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. What really made this visit exceptional, however, was the outstanding service—particularly from Nyle. It was my husband’s birthday and he truly went above and beyond to make the experience special. He had excellent knowledge of the menu and recommended drinks that perfectly suited my preferences. He was warm, patient, attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. The service genuinely elevated our whole experience and made my husband’s birthday feel very special. Nyle is a real credit to the team—thank you for such wonderful hospitality. We’ll definitely be returning.
Me and my partner went there last night for dinner. The service was very good and we were greeted at the door aswell. The food was served by a very cheerful waitress and was very tasty. It had a relaxing atmosphere and we felt comfortable at our table too.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A special thanks to Ganesh for the excellent service — he was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to visiting again!
Had a lovely brunch at The Ivy Cobham Garden today. The setting is beautiful and the atmosphere feels relaxed yet special. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was friendly and attentive. A great spot for a weekend treat. I will definitely be back.
My wife and I came here to celebrate our anniversary on the 5th of March, and our waiter Aryan made the evening truly special. He was extremely professional, knew the menu inside and out, and was very helpful with my dietary requirements. His service really made our experience memorable.
We visited for an early evening mid week meal and the restaurant was very busy with a great vibe. Our waiter Sebastian was very welcoming and quickly took our drinks order and explained variius queries on the menu. Once ordered, our food arrived promptly was delicious. Sebastian's excellent service made it all that bit more special . Thank you to all at the Ivy for a lovely evening.
We celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday on Tuesday 10th June. We had a lovely experience and the staff made it very special with a birthday pudding. The food was exceptional and we had a lovely evening. The staff were very attentive and made sure we were topped up and happy at all times. I would recommend the Ivy in Cobham.
Service is 100% food is lovely never disappointed you will love the ambience
Steak was cooked to perfection well seasoned good service and atmosphere.
I absolutely love this Ivy. Such a lovely feel about it. I particularly love the conservatory/courtyard area. Light and airy yet a secluded feel to it. The staff are attentive yet relaxed and friendly. The food is superb with lots of choices. Make sure if you love a dessert you go for the chocolate bomb! It's to die for 😋
Had a lovely lunch fantastic staff friendly and helpful great decor lovely feel to the restaurant Food was delicious
We had a great anniversary dinner here. The food was fresh and delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We both had the Crispy Bang Bang Chicken salad to start which was very tasty with a bit of a kick. Then I had the Slow-braised Lamb & Beef Ragu with Pappardelle Pasta and my partner had the Pan-roasted Norwegian Salmon Fillet for mains, both dishes were full of flavour. For desserts, we both had the Zingy Tropical Sorbet which was tasty and refreshing. They even brought us an extra little dessert as we told them it was our anniversary. Would definitely come back again
Celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary was lovely but not the most romantic as it was noisy as usual. The seating was private as they have lots of barriers and corners despite having lots of covers. The food is exceptional. We had the same starter Duck Liver Parfait Caramelised hazelnuts, apricot and apple chutney, toasted brioche which was amazing. Bread can give me indigestion if it is mass produced and this bread was fine so presumably made in house or made the traditional way. Main : The Ivy Shepherd’s Pie with garden peas, broad beans and baby shoots. We had had this before, and it didn’t disappoint. Our favourite pudding, which was the apple tart was not on the menu. My husband had the rum barbar, one of his favourites in France, but he’d never ever in 40 years had one in the UK that was so delicious, and a decent size. The staff are amazing. Attentive at not too much. All in all, we had a very nice time and I hope to be back before next year.
Beautiful restaurant, excellent food and fast and friendly service. We had a lovely meal out on a Saturday evening and they made us a pretty extra dessert for the birthday of one of our party.
We ate here tonight for my birthday. The female who showed us to our table was really not interested in the fact we were there to dine and seemed fed up and left me feeling very disappointed and unwelcome. She left menus on table and muttered a few words and when I asked her to repeat (as I hadn’t heard her) she just muttered again and walked away. Then our waiter Aryan arrived and he was wonderful! He was so attentive, very professional and seemed happy to be there and to make our evening special. He gave us time in between courses, to enjoy chatting and to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the restaurant. He checked in with us between courses and always was polite and attentive. He made our evening enjoyable, along with the delicious food! Very much recommend the food and the service from Aryan. Maybe the girl at the front desk was having a bad day, but she really started our evening off with a bad first impression I’m afraid. Aryan more than made up for that and in our opinion should receive all of our ‘service charge’. He is a massive credit to himself and the restaurant. Thank you Aryan!
We visited The Ivy Cobham this evening to celebrate a family birthday and had a truly wonderful experience. Our waiter, Aryan, provided exceptional service from start to finish. He was enthusiastic, professional, and incredibly attentive throughout the evening. His friendly and genuine demeanour made us feel so welcome and really elevated our celebration. Aryan went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect — he made the night extra special for our family. Thank you, Aryan, for making our evening unforgettable!
A fantastic experience at The Ivy Cobham—beautiful setting, great food, and impeccable service. Victoria, our waitress, was especially lovely and made us feel very well looked after. Highly recommended.
Lovely place with a great atmosphere. Perfect place to take my mother out to say thank you for something. It has nice table cloths and proper napkins so she was very happy. The food was excellent with a really good variety and the service was attentive without being over the top. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.
Had a wonderful experience at The Ivy Cobham Garden. The crispy duck salad was full of flavour and perfectly balanced, and the shepherd’s pie was rich, comforting, and beautifully executed. Elegant setting and attentive service.
I am was having a very nice experience and everythink was amazing . For dinner i m was having a chesse soufle and chicken milanase so taisty and good ambience . I m was served by Georgia she make a very nice atmosphere .
Wonderful creative and delicious food. Good quality. Friendly and helpful service. Original decoration and good atmosphere. We had our office Christmas lunch and enjoyed very much.
Lovely night out at the Ivy Cobham. Last minute booking on a Monday night, and it turns out there was a terrific Tina Turner tribute band playing who were fabulous! The food was lovely, as always, and we had a fabulous waiter called Sebastian who was absolutely top-notch! What a great impromptu night out. Highly recommend!
I would like to say a massive thank you to JOSE for going over and beyond with his amazing character charisma communication skills serving skills and for also helping me to make sure that I had an understood the menu and taking time out to check up on us when it was time to order he’s an amazing young person and I believe he’s going to go far. He’s a credit to your company.
Ambience is great, comfortable seating. Quality of food was amazing. Drinks arrived after 1st course. Service staff fairly friendly, some very frenzy, panicking due to being moderately busy. It was my son’s birthday, mentioned whilst making the booking no effort was made to make it special. Other tables did get a little of something for their special occasion, I guess it’s to server’s discretion and so no uniformity in service provided.
This was a birthday celebration and we chose the 2-course festive menu. The French onion soup was very good and the pumpernickel with the smoked salmon was an excellent combination. The turkey ballotine was rather dry (just baked overly long) but not worth complaining about. The shepherd's pie was tasty. We're big supporters of veg not being overcooked, but the green beans were just too al dente (squeaky). Service was prompt without being hurried and the complimentary profiterole complete with candle was a nice touch. Coffees were good.
We had the Sunday Roast which was delicious. The chocolate bombe never fails to impress and always tastes good. We had to wait quite a while after ordering our drinks and then quite a long wait for our food as well. Otherwise it was a great lunch. Bear in mind that there is only a small number of parking spots within the premises and it is quite tight.
Great posh place, specially on Sundays seems like the best of cobham come out here. Now to the burger, as this is why I’m here, it was a solid 7. Traditional beef burger, well seasoned, with the classic trimmings. The added ( on the side) a mixture of catchup and horseradish that was excellent. A good burger, not close to a top 20 but a good choice. If they had steamed the bread and offer medium rare meat it would I been much better and may be closer to an 8. Regardless recommend this to anyone craving a good traditional burger here.
First time at The Ivy and I was not disappointed. All the dishes were delicious and of course well presented. It was great value as well 💷 Definitely worth going and will return. Update September 09 2022: Second time to visit here. Great service. Food was good. *BUT* As it was raining, the table had rainfall on it. Upon looking up, it was clear this was a problem that had occurred before. I had paid so I had not option and was offered to move. Would have liked a e-mail address to offer my opinion. My guests I had not seen for 2 years and 9 months due to COVID. So I will sadly be not returning again
Great atmosphere, beautifully decorated. Service was amazing. Went there for my birthday and was offered a lovely desert with a candle. Food portions were good, in terms of taste it was alright. I had the lobster linguine which was ok.
Booked the table for my birthday. Although the restaurant was quite empty when we arrived, we were seated quite close to the waiter’s computer and not in the main area. The food is expensive, we really enjoyed the smoked salmon and squid, but shrimp cocktail wasn’t as nice. Fish and chips was nice. We liked that they had some smaller desserts. Quite pricey overall, but the service was great and food was ok. Next time would like to get the table in the garden.
I was a bit disappointed with The Ivy in Cobham as my friend and I had booked a set breakfast for 11.15am and were very much looking forward to it! Unfortunately, due to the horrendous traffic because of roadworks which we didn't know about, we arrived at 11.27am and when they went to take our order, we were told that the set breakfast finished at 11.30am! We explained that we had pre-booked the set breakfast but ere told categorically that it had ended and there was no flexibility or budging so we had to choose from the lunchtime menu! Don't get me wrong, the food was lovely but we had this booked for over a month and it was also for a special occasion so we were really disappointed and had also travelled half an hour to get there. We had also booked a table outside as the weather was lovely but they'd crammed so many tables in, we were sat almost with another couple so didn't feel relaxed in our conversation because everyone could here each others conversations. 2 guys were sat in the corner where the control for the heaters were and they had to be asked several times to move so the staff could get to the controls. They were visibly annoyed in the end. That particular table should have been taken out as it made it difficult to get to the controls. Extremely poor planning! So all in all, a bit disappointing!
The Ivy Cobham Brasserie is a lovely retreat next to River Mole in Cobham. Its elegant atmosphere is quite charming with several nice and cozy seating areas including an outdoor space looking on River Mole. It's bar looks so attractive and their drinks menu is satisfactory for almost every taste. The restaurant itself provide delicious dishes for each course made by variety of tasteful ingredients including meet, chicken and sea food. They have kids' menu too for younger guests too and our kids were enjoying their time there too. Their hosts are kind, helpful with a such and well enough hospitality attitude that gives you total comfortable feeling. I think The Ivy Cobham is one of those places where after your first visit, you promise to yourself to return to it again and soon.
Surprise birthday lunch on 1st January. We have been a few times and know the atmosphere and service along with the food to be top notch. However the new year brunch service was a disappointment. The meager four rice balls as a sharer fortunately augmented by salt and pepper squid meant we had a starter course. Followed by the smallest fillet steak with supplement cost on a tiny bed of spinach and not enough sauce for the delicious chips to mop up. Requests for more water were forgotten in the haste to serve and reset other tables. The customary "how is your food" delivered before we had even managed to try it. The final disappointment was that my wife had informed the restaurant that it was my birthday in advance however whilst on leaving and collecting our coats they checked and apologised for the oversight. No further follow up. In summary disappointed visit this time around.
We had a lovely visit today for lunch and the food was perfectly. Front of house on arrival was not great but once seated, the waiting staff were very attentive and made all the better by Verity, who looked after us wonderfully. Probably need more people like Verity to meet and greet.
The decor and ambience were great. We had a nice greeting at the door. The service wasn't great. Waiter had a scowl on his face and looked unhappy to serve us. The food was good but tiny in quantity and very expensive. We had to order a side order which should have been part of the dish. They didn't have dairy-free dessert apart from sorbet which isn't appropriate in January and isn't very creative and option. There are cheaper places that offer greater choice. It wasn't a bad lunch but I won't be returning in a hurry.
I reserved a table for 4 online indoors as it was pouring with rain. On arrival reception told me that i reserved a table on the terrace (Outside) I questioned that as the weather was terrible. After the commotion we was seated on a table indoors which in my opinion to small for 4 people and another family that were seated on a similar table asked to be moved which I could understand. I ordered a roast I think the potatoes were frozen aunt betties potatoes and the beef was a lump of steak sliced into two pieces not what I would expect from the Ivy! Mediocre Roast however the venue is nice and the toilets are very clean
We recently visited the Ivy in Cobham to celebrate my wife's birthday. Whilst the service was very good, along with a lovely atmosphere, the food was somewhat underwhelming. On a final note* upon arriving home we noticed we had been charged twice for a dish (our fault for not inspecting the bill whilst at the restaurant) so this left us with a bitter taste (no pun intended). At approx £70 per head I would have expected more.
We visited for the Valentine’s set menu with high hopes, but the evening was unfortunately a letdown. Despite arriving early, they were already out of one of the three dessert options, and our waiter seemed completely indifferent to the shortage. The service felt lackluster and dismissive until we complained, at which point they finally allowed us a dessert from the main menu. While the food itself was lovely, the experience ended on a sour note when we were overcharged by £70 due to poor communication regarding the menu swap. For a venue with such a strong reputation, the lack of care and the significant billing error made for a very stressful and underwhelming celebration.
Visited ivy Cobham for my birthday and usually ivy always makes me very special . This time around staff was not very friendly when we asked certain things felt ignored or we were bothering them . We won’t be returning here again sorry to say.. Brighton is a bit of a drive for us but don’t mind the drive after this visit to cobham .
