After checking on my hides for GCing and finally finding FTF for GC. **** Huge shout out to our server Brooke. She ensured everything was timed perfectly. She ensured everything was cooked to our specification and made sure we need anything but not being. annoying like most servers are a out it. When I find their review section they will get 5 stars because of her. ****

Rocky's on The Lake is AMAZING!!! Rocky's Autumn Cocktail List is awesome Awesome Awesome. Any drink with apple in it tastes like applesauce or apple crisp. Which makes it dangerous hahahaha jk. The Apple Cider Moscow Mule and The Apple Bourbon Smash are my favorites and 2 drinks I believe you should start with. The wine list is plentiful and definitely has sweet or dry; red and whites as you wish. Once you move on to food there isn't a wrong request. Oh my God their food is just as good as their signature drinks! Their rendition of greens are amazing in themselves. Get them as an appetizer, you'll love them ❤ 💙. I'm biased when it comes to Riggies as I should be when it comes to Rocky's!!! They Are AMAZING!!!! I've had this dish in many restaurants across New York and Rocky's has some of the best!! When your through with dinner and would like a better view of Hinkley Lake then KEEP READING!! I've Lived on this lake; Vacationed on this lake; Hiked this lake; Boated this lake; and enjoyed just about EVERY inch and activity you could pursue on or around Hinkley Lake. If you camp here then please play some sand volleyball on Hinckley's Beach at Rocky's Point or just simply watch the sunset from the lone Park bench to the left and above the beach at night. You can easily spend a day here. Shoot, you could spend a summer here. Not just at Rocky's but at Hinkley alone. Do yourself a favor and give each place on my review a go. You'll forever remember it just as I do. 😊

The food was delicious! We made reservations to ensure we could get in when we got there. As we left, people were waiting so reservations were definitely a good idea. Lovely view of the lake out of the large windows in the dining room. Can't wait to go back!

We've been to rockys several times for brunch. The food is always great, and the service is as well. Their special cocktails are also always delicious. Would recommend to all

4 adults a 1 kid went in our group. Everyone loved the food and there were no complaints! I had the dipped breakfast sandwich. The poached egg was in a pesto dip that was delicious! I also had the Shrimp cocktail Bloody Mary. That was also delicious, but I wish it had horseradish in it.

The food tonight was fantastic & the service was wonderful! Try a cucumber coolata! You won't be disappointed.

If there is a Gluten-free Heaven this is it, amazing Gluten-free Menu., great service and great experience all around... Note: a bit long on the wait but being how busy they were and the food and service was still all around amazing.

Totally enjoyed going to this new restaurant with my children they took me there for my birthday as I came up from Florida to visit with them. Was an awesome meal awesome drinks enjoyed Great Dessert we definitely recommend going there. Food portions are phenomenal. We ended up taking four to go boxes we could only eat about half of what was put on the plate. Food was delicious drinks for very well made, would definitely return here and would definitely recommend this Diner to anyone who asks and even those that don't ask that come to visit. Thank you for such a great meal and great time no waitress was very pleasant always smiling always helpful the only should be very proud.

Lively atmosphere, bustling with people and busy waitresses . Food arrived in timely manner all at once for all 8 of us. All liked their dinner choices. Our waitress was very attentive, even though the resturaunt was packed... We will definitely go again, soon!

I was blown away at what a great experience going here was! Beautiful inside, outside and the food was amazing. I had their "soup flight" which was fantastic paired with Rocky's Greens and a pint. I can't wait to return in the warmer days and catch live music there!

Another superior experience at Rocky’s. They are so flexible and accommodating. Bri was wonderful as usual to work with in planning our event and caring for us on the big night. Mary was attentive, friendly and Fun!! Any staff that helped us out were eager to go out of their way for us!! We had a bunch of kids and they were very helpful with anything we needed. The food was amazing as usual !! Highly recommend them for any event!!!

Although the place was jam packed, service was fast, the staff were friendly, and the food came out at a reasonable time. What more could you ask for?

As someone who’s somewhat picky when it comes to food, we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food here! We ate several times during our stay in upstate New York - The food was consistently good and the beer was cold! The atmosphere is very laid back, and the locals were friendly! Don’t hesitate to check this place out!

Sunday Breakfast pizza is the best breakfast pizza I've ever had. The food dishes here are very fancy and lavish. The bar is amazing but the view is even better; inside they have giant windows to display the view of the lake and the island with all it's beautiful trees plus the sky visible while you eat inside a warm restaurant. I really love this place. Also the store next to the restaurant offers a lot. I suggest everyone to try this place out. Even people who cannot spend a lot might enjoy sharing a pasta dinner or two and fried calamari with the family.

Lovely birthday celebration dinner. I had Chicken Francais and hubby had filet mignon with onion, peppers and mushrooms. We both enjoyed our meals and the ambiance of the fireplace. Will definitely go back soon.

We had amazing meals and excellent service. I was intrigued by the Saturday Special they had , an Antipasto Calzone. It was absolutely amazing !! Our party also ordered the Meatball Flight and a Reuben Sandwich , both also amazing !

Really good restaurant. This was our first time eating here and we really enjoyed it. We made a reservation just to be sure we would have a table on a busy Saturday evening. The service was really good. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, knew the menu very well, and checked in throughout our meal. Our dinners were both great! I had their chicken stack which was super tasty. It was a base of mashed potato’s, then greens, with grilled chicken and roasted red peppers on top. My wife had their pecan crusted salmon and really loved it. So, all in all a really good meal with great service. We will be back!

First time at restaurant. Beautiful ,a little loud, maybe as ceilings are high and noise carried. But our waiter Dominic was great. Fish platter was delicious and plenty to eat. Had a bit of a wait but the place was packed. Overall my new favorite place

Great place up on Hinkley reservoir. It’s almost out of place up there among the campsites. They have a few bars, lots of seats and plenty of outdoor seating. It’s still a bit cold and rainy so we ate inside and enjoyed the food and the modern yet rustic interior. Prices were reasonable and staff was friendly

In the middle of nowhere. That's how I'd describe where you'd find this modern, trendy little restaurant nestled in the town of Cold Brook, upstate NY, which is just outside of the Adirondacks Park. I visited during the winter season, so I got to experience the beautiful, snow ladened trees on my drive to this place. After driving past those "double wide" trailer homes on Mac Arthur Road, you come upon this great oasis. The first parking lot I turned into was already packed out but fear not, because there's additional parking just beyond the restaurant. You just have to walk back up a slight incline, or take the steps, if the outdoor section is open. On entering the restaurant, you will see this contemporary bar with color changing lights which really catches the eyes. The restaurant itself was large on the inside, with tables spaced out beautifully. I had the pleasure of being served by Michele/Michelle who's married to Gregg. I had to differentiate there because there are more than one server by that name. While the food was good, a portion of my order was served too cold for my liking but Michele/Michelle promptly took care of that and quickly replaced the item with a more to my temperature liking replacement. Did I mention that they have Gluten Free items on their menus? That's a huge plus for people who have to eat gluten free all the time. The only problem is that, apart from the dessert menu which clearly had one item marked GF, the gluten free items on the regular menu can barely be recognized unless you do what I did and take a blown up picture of the menu (See my attached picture ). Despite all that, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area, and if they'll have me back, I'll be visiting there again soon.

Great place! Recommended by friends, we took the drive, and we do not regret it... Beautiful place with a great water view even in the late winter. Food was delicious, but was not exactly hot... it was still warm, and that's the ONLY reason for 4 stars on the food, that's a nitpick, I know, as the taste was great. I had the stuffed chicken parm, which wasn't "stuffed", the pepperoni and mozzarella were simply on top. So it differed from the description on the specials menu, but again, a small thing and it didn't take away from the taste and quality of the food. My wife, who is MAJORLY picky about riggies said they had great flavor. That's a big compliment... If you are lucky enough to see the loaded tater tots on the menu, trust me... order them and thank me later. The service was good... our server was training, and he mentioned as much right off the bat, and overall he did a good job. There were a few mix ups with drinks and the bill, but it was easily taken care of. Nothing that would keep us from coming back at all. He was a nice young man. Great atmosphere, very clean, good food and service. We'll be back.

Food was very good. I had the fish fry and it was the biggest and best fish fry I’ve ever had. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because we had a reservation and still had to wait for about 10 mins for our table. Which was fine but then we were out at a table and it took a while to get service. Given it was a busy Friday night but many servers walked by us. Still it was a good experience and we always enjoy our experience at Rocky’s.

This was a great restaurant on the lake only 30-40 minutes from Utica. I don’t have many pictures but I loved their Lemon Berry Marscapone cake and their wings are great. Not too much sauce and really crispy.

Was there for a benefit, service from main bar the back area bar was super. Food was great along with the wait staff. Highly recommend and plan on returning 👌. Staff was also super with needs to the benefit 👏

It was a beautiful night and very busy. They forgot our chowder so by the time we reminded them it came seconds before our food. My water never came until another reminder. And our friends orders both had errors. We were in mo hurry so we enjoyed the view and conversation.

I received a wonderful tasty meal today at this lovely place and i recommend this hidden gem to anyone interested. Lovey atmosphere and excellent food and service. My only complaint would be the temperature inside the restaurant is very cold and it would be great if the heat would be turned up.

The menu is big with prices a little bit on the higher side. Chicken wings were smaller than I am used to for the price. Add 2 dollars if you want to split sauces on your wings… uggghhh. Pizza was decent. Not very busy but the food took over 20 minutes. The Guinness beer was not poured properly either. Service was a bit slow and we weren’t Checked on. Would we drive and go back, probably not.

Bit pricey here in nov so lake is half dry but still nice to walk around .... Food is ok... The staff is very nice.... Reserved table week ahead and still were seated with barely any view away from the window and place was half empty the table we wanted someone came hour later .... The road there is horrible scary forest at this time of year and trailer park and just haunted looking thank god we didnt drive there at night kids were already asking questions haha but over all restaurant once there is ok ....

Madeline our waitress was great! Very Accommodating to our larger group. Food taste was okay ( chicken francaise). Serving size could be bigger ( side of pasta was small). Served with NO bread /roll. Over priced fish fry which I wanted but refused to order

Beautiful location but no outside service. How are you a restaurant on a lake (reservoir) and you don’t serve outside? The beer was refreshing, but food was just okay. I got a salad (ok) and calamari (undercooked and a bit soggy). He got a sandwich which he loved. $65. The one thing I enjoyed the most was the dog who visited our table every few minutes!!!

I recently visited this establishment and, unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The wait time was excessively long, clocking in at 40 minutes before we even received our drinks. When the drinks finally arrived, they were warm and tasted off, particularly the draft beer which had a stale flavor. The food did not fare any better. Several dishes had a strange, rotten fruit taste, and it was clear that the ingredients were not fresh. Additionally, the food was poorly cooked, with some items arriving undercooked and others overdone. Overall, this visit left much to be desired. The long wait, subpar drinks, and poorly prepared food make it difficult to recommend this place. I hope they can make significant improvements in the future. Just noticed they even charged me for the warm draft beer that I didn’t drink. Nice touch! (Added receipt) to pictures! Wanted to add a drunk guy came to our table while we were eating to promote a boat party July 4th. It was rude as we were talking but he was cool enough to not to ruin the night. Cheers..

Don’t plan anything special here. They don’t hold their promises. We were promised a table for 13 people in the room facing the lake for an anniversary dinner. Confirmed it the night before. They assured us it wouldn’t be a problem. When we got there, we were put in the back room at a group of tables shaped like an H. People had to sit with their backs toward others in the party. The owner and manager refused to come out, even though we asked several times. Don’t waste your money. Their food isn’t as good as our local restaurants. The only reason to go is the view, so the drive was pointless. At the very least, they could have called.

Extremely dissapointed in the experience. We called a month in advance to reserve a space in the front room overlooking the lake for a party of 13. We received a text the night before to verify our reservation. When we arrived they seated us in the back room corner looking at the rest rooms. They had to arrange the tables so that some of our family had their backs to each other due to the small space they crammed us into. Asked to speak to a manager but he or she never had the courtesy to speak to us. On top of the unacceptable cusomer experience the food was sub par as well. We asked for veal francaise and were told they were out but they had other veal dishes available. Obviously meals are either frozien or pre prepaired. Ordered chicken francaise. Worst chicked francaise we ever received anywhere. Too bad. The building is nice and to location is great but the customer experience and food are terrible. Will never be back or recommend to anyone.

We made a reservation for 7:00PM for our wedding anniversary after a family member recommended to try here. We were seated on time and given menus. The hostess never came back to our table to serve us our drink order before our meal orders. We made attempts to flag down someone to give us service but were ignored. After 30 minutes, we walked out. Unacceptable service. Also, crowded around the bar area near patio. Made the atmosphere uncomfortable for guest seated near there. Please do not waste your time coming here.

I have been coming to Rocky’s for one reason and that is to get excellent service with some laughs from Mary. The food is not good! Very inconsistent for years now ( since they opened basically) 50/50 it’s a gamble on what you will get so I come because of Mary and before that it was Joe at bar keeps bringing me back, atmosphere is stunning. However the water smells and tastes like sulfur and they charge for bottled water. (Not good). That should be a courtesy. There also are some new people (girls) wait staff who roll eyes and hang by the hostess stand, not sure what is going on with Rocky’s lately but it is making me think twice about coming up North when I can stay locally and go out. Why isn't Mary on the bar when she usually is? The last 2 times we came in she wasn’t, the vibe is different she was always on the bar Thursday or at least on Fridays . Nope just some more new rude staff? These girls are not the best bartenders. Be Better Do Better! I want to keep supporting.
