We really enjoy coming to The Alamo. The menu has a lot of options. Prime Rib usually on weekends. Burgers, pizza, wings, tacos, salads and some seafood. Draft beer and Cider both on tap, which is nice. The staff are very courteous and attentive. During COVID, we don't sit inside at any restaurants. The Alamo has a nice porch for outdoor dining. Nice place.

Can't say enough about our first experience eating at the Alamo Bar & Grill! The lobster tail special was so delicious and the presentation of the dish was 5 star! My husband enjoyed the fish fry and hands down on the tarter sauce! It's hard to find good homemade tarter sauce. It reminded us of the old "Casa Too Mucha" tarter sauce. The menu has something for everyone! We will definitely be back to try some other dishes on the menu! Atmosphere is casual and comfortable- cabin like feel. Can't wait to go again!

First time here and couldn't believe the amount of food for the price we paid. Half price wings on Wednesday and humongous pizzas.

First time there. Wing night. Hot as hell inside back room. Molson ice cold. Cassandra's 'reverse wings' coated with creamy blue cheese and crumbles, strange, wierd but somehow delightful. X-hot wings, 🔥. So good. Cook on wing perfect, didn't ask for crispy or anything. Whole scalp sweating, like I said perfect. Place was packed. Quick and efficient service. Definitely recommend.

this is THE place to be when you're in town. the food was great, drinks were great ... their selection of alcohol and beer is extensive which was very much appreciated. the staff are all great ... I try to make it here every time I'm in town from Queens, NY.

we had a great time here for a bridal shower shower. The food was amazing. The DJ was okay not top rated but the friendliness of the staff, quality of the drinks and food made up for it.

Besides the food being very good, having a great atmosphere and beer selection, let me just say that the employees are fantastically honest. We accidentally left a sum of cash at the restaurant, and when we called to see if it was still there (30 min later) we were told it was and to come by and pick it up, or they would VENMO it to us. Very impressed with the Alamo and its employees!

If you find yourself in Poland Ny you absolutely must stop at Alamo bar and grill, not only will you have outstanding food but the service is even better. Julie has served myself and my wife on multiple occasions and she is the definition of exceptional service. For us the 45 minute drive is worth every bit of the drive. Great food, great people and great times.

Came across this randomly and was pleasantly surprised. From the outside looks like your avg townie bar. Inside was nice and clean and the food was surprising. Went beyond your average bar food menu. Brisket dip and tacos were delicious.

This place is fabulous, the customer service goes beyond reproach. The Alamo bar and grill is a must do place, the folks there put a lot of care in what they do, from the waitresses and waiters all the way to the kitchen, staff and cooks that should be called chefs. There’s a lot of passion and love that goes into every dish that leaves the kitchen. For me is home way from home! Oh yes, don’t forget to ask how them the history behind naming the place “Alamo bar & grill”, great story!

Absolutely the best place in town.. hands down!!! Went for the first time and had their wings Wednesday special.. and OMG!!! The garlic Parmesan wings are insanely good!! Best wings I've ever had!! Their blue cheese is the best I've ever had!!! This place needs to be featured on the Food Network!!! I can't wait to go back and try some other menu items.😁😁

We popped in this restaurant for lunch on a Saturday just while driving in the area. My kids loved the fish on the walls and the cool bar taps displayed. We ordered some burgers, chicken tenders and the alamo poutine. That poutine is all I can think about, planning a trip back. Staff was friendly, food was amazing and facilities were clean. 10/10!

Visited Friday 5/16/25 a party of 10 of us, we actually sat at the same table that we had a year ago, as we are in the area at a local campground and always elect to go to dinner one night! The bartender Austin greeted us and sat us and then promptly took our order! The food came out of the kitchen with assistance from other employees, and Austin to all 10 of us at the same time!, the food was hot and plentiful! We mostly all went home with doggie bags and full bellies! Austin was the man!, if I had any one thing to mark against them they wouldn’t do separate checks! We figured it out back at the campground who had what and who owed what but it would have been nice if we could have all paid separately (5 checks). Other than that Austin was the super star of the night! Thanks again Alamo for a great dinner!

Came here after a really bad experience at Rocky”s on the lake. Let me tell you the food her was amazing and turned are 1st anniversary back to being great. I can’t thank the staff her enough for making my night better.

Great wings, nice selection of scotch/ bourbon with a fun environment. Beers seem to be predominantly ipas and light beer. Sorry to say there wasn't a decent selection of dark. But this could have been the time I was there. Parking lot is a little dodgy but typical of a "Towny bar". Overall a great place and a good experience.

What a hidden gem. They have all your typical American bar and grill fare like chicken wings and cheeseburgers, but they also have a few good seafood choices and some more upscale options. Nice full bar with cocktail specials and a lengthy beer list. Our server was polite and food came out in a timely manner.

My girlfriend and I started going there 3 months ago or so on our way from southern NY to northern and let me tell ya, great place! I love spicy and the jalapeño margaritas, the piper salad and the stuffed long hots are the best! The only problem I have is that the pipers are not on the appetizer menu lol. Incredible food - truly a hidden gem. My only reason for not giving a 5 for atmosphere is the icy cold air conditioner which wasn’t adjusted despite my approaching our waitress who promised but forgot. Otherwise, unforgettable

I've lived in the valley forever and I never knew this place existed. I was surprised how great it was. Service was fast, although maybe a bit confused at times, cool decor, the food was great, and they had a wide beer selection. I think this might become my family's new go-to when we're willing to drive a few extra minutes for a great place to eat and drink.

Stopped by this fine bar and grill while passing through on the motorcycle with my wife. We both enjoyed our meals. She ordered the lobster roll, and said it was excellent. Yes it was about $30, but so worth it. Loaded with big pieces of lobster. I had the fish dinner broiled. Good size piece of fish and prepared perfectly. Good selection of beer here too. Our server was attentive and excellent. He checked with us a few times asking if we needed anything. So service is 5 stars for sure. To bad I am over an hour away. Still the same, I plan to return again when we are out for a ride. Stop by and visit this establishment, you will be pleased.

Havnt been here in years!!! Bar is gorgeous. Great atmosphere tons of drink selection. Food was excellent! Brother had the ribeye sandwich looks excellent. It has been a long time since I was this impressed with my dinner. My partner had loaded fries as appetizer and fried chicken dinner, I went with lobster bisque and poke bowl. The food was delicious and plenty! Well presented, fresh and tasty. I apologize to Richard for disturbing his momentum in his territory 😉 but I just had to show my appreciation personally. We will definitely be back. Found a new regular to go. So happy!

Tried out the Alamo for the first time after hearing about it several times from friends and family. It exceeded all expectations. It's bigger inside than it looks from the outside which makes it great for live music. The interior decor is phenomenal for the area as well. An great beer selection and wide variety of food items puts them over the top. I couldn't recommend this enough!

Delicious food. They need more space and more staff. Service was a bit slow for dinnertime.

We had heard quite a bit about it. Mostly good, so we wanted to try It. A little bit of a drive, but it was a nice night. The restaurant was pretty busy. We didn't have to wait long for a table. The waitress came fairly quickly and we placed our drink order. All ok, until she came back and no non-alcoholic beers. It was on the drink menu, but coincidentally they sold the last one the night before HA! Food was decent. It has a good menu, but mostly bar food. If I was in the area I might go back, but wouldn't go out of my way.

Serving sizes are great. Had enough left for lunch the next day. Beer glasses were not chilled, there was no service on the porch area, and the music inside was to too loud. I would go back because the food was great and just ask for the music to be turned down a little. I had the Tequila Chicken plate and it was good...a little kick to it, but good!

A little loud & spectator sports focused for my personal tastes, but a remarkable variety of drinks & good food, some of it quite innovative, served by a competent & courteous staff, with many local patrons who seem happy to turn a stranger into a new friend. The kitchen staff knows to not overcook the calamari as most other restaurants do. :-)

we love going here to eat/drinks, the food is great, the service is very good. the girls are all very down to earth and fun. However, we had to keep our coats on because it soooo cold in there. the tiny pellet stove is not enough to heat the place. we will be going again. but if the Heat is not on, not so much 😒 ps everyone left there coats/jackets on while dining and getting drinks at the bar

Great local place.any different beers including craft beer. Interesting and pretty good food selection. I haven't tried many things off the menu bc I know I want the awesome garlic wings. Eat in or take out. New deck looks awesome, I haven't been out there yet. Not a lot of places to sit so go early if you want a table. It can get wild with the younger crowd later. A friend & I went to Alamo on a Thursday afternoon to check out the food. I had the loaded fries, they were incredible. My friend had the Reuben & onion rings. The onion rings were loaded with oil & were unedited ( she bit into them & oil literally poured out!! The Reubens was nothing special! She said she had better!! Such a disappointment when you travel way put to Poland NY. How can I give it more stars when her meal was awful?

Beautiful bar with lots to look at. The food was good, I had the prime rib sandwich. It was a little messy from the balsamic glaze, but tasty nonetheless. Loved that they offered local drink options. The sugar Plum cider from 1911 was great!

Food was good, portions were generous. We each had wraps, and side of onion rings were particularly good. Restaurant was packed when we got there on a Saturday night, and staff seemed to forget about us at times. It took about an hour and 10 minutes from when we sat down to when we paid our check. We would return, just not on a Saturday night in the summer.

Went there for a family dinner while visiting from North Carolina. The food was delicious. Ordered the brisket, it was so tendered. My issue was with the wait staff. Our waitress was rude from the beginning. If we asked for something she had a snotty attitude. This never ended, we never got refills and she pushed the check on us.

Food was ok, nothing special. Waitress was snotty. She served several people who came in after us before we were served our appetizers. I had to go to the bar and request our food

Part of a large party, we ordered a rueben, mozz Stix and hot boneless wings. The rueben was cold, which isn't how a ruenlben is made. It's a hot sandwich. And I don't mean room temp. It was refrigerator cold 🥶. My boneless wings came out alone, and had the wrong sauce so they were sent back. Mozz Stix never came out. Whole table was eating except for me. Finally get my wings and had to mention the mozz Stix for a 2nd time to a different waitress. Finally got those and they were undercooked. Barely fried. On a good note the wings were good and a large portion. Was also charged for onion rings as a side, when it is listed as a side option for the rueben without an upcharge...so not sure why that was added to the bill... Overall won't be back again.

Me and a big group went here for lunch. We saw our server maybe twice. She messed up multiple orders and had a hard time understanding simple modifications. Some people got the wrong fries. She never asked if we wanted separate checks, mind you we were a group of 7, so when we asked before we went to pay she said that we could have done separate checks if WE had asked as we ordered…we asked if we could re-ring the order in and pay separate and the waitress said no because there was only one other server working(tip:dont schedule 2 serves for a Saturday lunch). Her solution to this issues was to take our separate cards and only charge a certain amount on each, at this point I don’t think the waitress would be able to even remember who’s card is who’s or what to even charge each card. Yea the food was good but what’s good food without good service, might as well eat at home. Our check ended up being $174 instead of each person getting their own check. The poutine wasn’t really poutine, potato wedges, sweet sauce??, maybe gravy and deep friend cheese curd. We aren’t that far from Canada I think we all know what poutine is supposed to be like. I couldn’t even finish any of my food because I was just fed up with being there. By the end of the meal I had three plates of fried(after my order was already messed up) and a wrap that wasn’t even made right because asking for only lettuce and ranch in my Buffalo chicken wrap was just too confusing for the waitress. I’ve worked as a serve for three years and never have I had an order messed up like this that wasn’t followed up with an apology and discount. If you’re short staffed just say so and apologize for the inconvenience but we didn’t even get that. The pics are the “poutine” and all the food I left because it wasn’t worth taking home. Waste of my time and money.

Firstly , the margarita flight tray looked nothing like what they advertised, secondly , the nachos are unseasoned meat piled on top of huge pieces of lettuce with melted velveeta. Hands down, worst nachos I’ve ever had. I’ve had better nachos at Applebees. The only reason I’m giving a one star rating is because my 16 dollar margarita was at least worth 10 dollars. Never again!

As with all restaurants, food and drink prices have increased the past couple years. However, the Alamo prices have increased much more than other central New York restaurants. But what's really gone downhill with the Alamo is the quality of the food. This was a place I would go to fairly often, even with a 25 minute drive passing many local quality restaurants on the way. The prices, the food and the atmosphere separated this place from others. You would have to get there by 5 PM on weeknights if you wanted a seat. Today I arrived after 5 PM and there were plenty of open seats. Based on how empty it was there this evening, my guess is that I'm not the only one who feels they have priced their customers out especially while the food quality has gotten much worse. Unfortunately I will not know if they can return this restaurant to where it was since I will not be returning.

I ordered a brisket sandwich plus curly fries for $18.99. They gave me literally two pieces 3/4 inch pieces of stringy, grisly pieces of alleged brisket that I would not feed my dog! It was inedible! I asked for my check, paid it in full and left, leaving the so called brisket sandwich on the plate for the bartender or cook to eat. I’ve been there many times for great food but after my last two visits, I will never go back. The food sucks!

I do not recommend. The service was nice, but the food was not. For the first time I didn't take photos because it wasn't worth it. tasteless soup, stale steak, dried fish, rubbery tacos.

Rude and unprofessional servers. I can’t comment on the food since I never got a chance to try it as the servers never came over to take my order. I sat for 20 minutes waiting for someone to come take my order before I left. They took the order of the table behind me and in front of me. Whenever I made eye contact or try to get their attention, the server would just walk away. When another table came in and sat down and they immediately came over and took their order, I got up and walked out. Extremely disappointing experience.

After speaking with bartender we were told to sit anywhere we’d like. So we told her we were sitting outside. We waited patiently for 20 minutes at a table while the flies from empty liquor bottles were swarming us. A table next to us was visited by two separate servers yet not a single one offered us a menu or even looked our way. It was bizarre to say the least. Disappointing end to a good morning.

We had lunch there today. This place is outstanding ! I had the fish fry and my wife had chicken fajitas wrap. I can’t say enough about our lunch ! We also had clams . I could go on and on about the Alamo , atmosphere, friendliness and quality and quality food ! Go there , you won’t be disappointed.
