Double Dave's Pizzaworks

It's been a long time since I visited a Double Dave's but this location did not disappoint! The pizza rolls were every bit as good as I remember! The location is a little hard to get to from the freeway because the parking lot is a little bit like a maze, but Google maps managed to navigate it.

It was fantastic! Nostalgia for me as DD was my first job ( not this location) but the food brought back so many memories, loved it!

Kudos to DoubleDave's for keeping the Global Beer Expert names displayed. Not sure why "1994" is in quotation marks, but it was cool to show my daughter (class of '28) my name on that old plaque. The Global Beer Expert experience was a lot of fun. Pizza Rolls, dipped in ranch, are just as good as they ever were!

He helped me by pitching in the last dollar I owed and was such a nice gentleman I was having a hard day and he made my day a lot better wish there was more kind souls out there like his. Very perfesonal and was very pleased will definitely be back!!!

This particular location was extremely accommodating towards those restrictions unlike the Bryan location. I highly recommend going. Also the rolls are fantastic!! Thanks guys for the great customer service!!

We came for lunch buffet on a Sunday. It was busy but the staff is quick to replenish the buffet food.

Very clean friendly atmosphere. Fresh ingredients on both the salad bar and pizzas we ordered. We were impressed with the pizza but not in love with the crust but that is more of a personal preference. Our kids enjoyed everything except for the vending machines that ate up their quarters but didn’t give out the toys. Overall a great experience we will be back for the buffet and to try the pepperoni rolls.

I want to give you 5 stars, but stop putting cold ranch containers into piping hot pizza boxes. By the time I get home, warm ranch on my pizza isn't the best. Food is great though, and everyone is super friendly.

They do have dessert pizza on the bar, so leave some space for their delicious chocolate chip pizza dessert.

It had been a while but I remember the pepperoni rolls being so fresh and not as greasy. They were softer and fluffeir they would melt in your mouth TLC has been lost along the way still good just to Greasy and a little hard.

The food here is pretty good, but don't expect a "quick bite." Unless you order ahead or come in at a dead time, expect to wait 30+ minutes. If they are preparing the pizza buffet, even dine-in food takes second priority.

nothing special about their pizza... pizza rolls are more expensive than they're worth.

Pizza came out hot and fresh. Unfortunately, it lacked much for flavor. I got a Margareta Pizza and the tomatoes were fresh, but seasonings were needed. Service was friendly and the food was delivered to our table. Environment was clean and comfortable. It worked for a large group to eat together and fast.

Menu is difficult to navigate, very over-priced food, staff was generally impolite and seemed to have an impressive lack of knowledge about the menu. Taste of food is OK, but it was very undercooked and the wait time was outrageous. Decent selection of beer. It is not a full time buffet like Google advertises. They only have their buffet for lunch. Also overheard the manager on shift being verbally abusive to his employees on three separate occasions during my visit.

We always loved dd’s but today we received a dozen rolls and they were mostly bread with very few pepperoni included. I remember them being full of cheesy and pepperoni goodness. Not any more. Price went up and quality went down. Really disappointed.

Imagine my surprise when I observed 3 different employees without gloves on their hands handing frozen pizza blanks to each other. I am thinking of all of the other things that they touched, freezer door handle, cash register, etc. When I asked if this was proper not to be wearing gloves. I was told, "they wash their hands regularly." I do not find this an acceptable answer, and I interpreted it as she didn't care. I will find it hard to go back to this establishment again. I hope the heat of the oven killed off any biologicals on the pizza.

I was shocked when I got in the car and realized that I had paid $57 for four 6-in sandwiches from double Dave's on 9/10/2024. If you want a footlong or a sandwich to feed your hungry construction workers, you best not go to double Dave's. $57. For 4 6 inch sandwiches! Better vote for Trump! Ridiculous price

My wife and I received a coupon for a free pizza for this location. On the day we decided to use this my wife called and spoke with an employee to verify that she could use the coupon for a pick up order (the coupon does not state that it is for dine in only) the employee assured her this would be fine. Upon arrival of picking up the order the Manager on duty stated it was for dine in only ( again not specified on the coupon) and would not honor 1. The coupon or 2. Their mistake. So we left with no pizza and Doubles Dave’s has been left without our future business.

Y'all just lost a weekly (if not more frequent) customer because the person that answered the phone tonight cannot give an accurate time estimate for a carry out order. I can understand if you were busy, but our food is old. Not cold, just not fresh because we were told it would be a 40 minute wait for carry out and we were there last week when it was busy so we didn't want to rush you guys. Also, the red sauce is colder than the ranch (which says to keep refrigerated). The ranch is warm this week. :(

Placed $40 order ONLY TO HAVE the wrong stuff delivered 🤦‍♂️ then wait over an HR for ICE COLD food. No discount given for my patience then called to speak with management only to be told when asked to speak to manager that she was out on delivery. Ice cold pizza and not even an apology 👎🏻 for $40 worth of microwave food is unacceptable… Burn me once but I won’t allow this to happen again.. BAD EXPERIENCE … Go elsewhere as this place is very Unorganized and unprofessional. The customer PAYS FOR this place to stay in business and doing this is NOT how to gain confidence… Threw the food away and ordered elsewhere. I donated $40 but won’t EVER do that again

My wife and I are at the hospital across the street from this location. My wife placed an order online and I picked it up. They gave me the wrong order. When I went back to get the correct order they didn’t give me a refund for the previous order because “I didn’t bring the pizza rolls back.” I paid for the wrong order and our actual order. I guess they planned on reselling that order. If my wife wasn’t craving pizza from just delivering a baby then I would have told them to keep it. TERRIBLE business strategy, when the employee makes a mistake, the customer pays for it

I love their pizza rolls but as I was waiting on my food to come out,I could see in the back and no one I mean absolutely no one had gloves on and everyone was preparing food/prepping.major health hazard I was mortified working in food you should have gloves on at all time and no one even washed their hands!

*2/5/19 Update in response to owner's reply: Hello, thank you for providing a more accurate time frame. What was only 5 minutes felt like 10 when you're hungry, never acknowledged, and looking forward to your favorite pizza. You're correct, the facts are inaccurate, as we did not present a coupon. We never received an opportunity to do that as we were never acknowledged/spoken to. Thank you for taking the time to address this with your employees and best of luck in the future. 1/30/19 Review: Very poor customer service. Fiance and I walked in and stood in line for about 10 minutes without ever being acknowledged or greeted. Two employees on duty, the one at the register was having a conversation with what appeared to be a friend while the other employee sat at the back of the room on a computer. This occured on 1/30/19 at approximately 3:30 pm. Very disappointing as we really enjoy Double Dave's. Will not be returning.

Not one worker had gloves on while fixing food. On short black gentleman working kept flicking and scratching his nose. Saw black headed white lady scratching her head and also go back to working on the food line. The cashier handling money was also handling food preparing it for delivery. Just totally discussing. I have mentioned this to several people. I will not be ordering from there again. Our bill was close to 55$. Not cheap. Could have had a steak dinner for that price.

A not so great experience. We had the buffet. Not one time did they replenish the buffet. We had to request a special pizza. The few tables that had previous customers still had dirty dishes on them. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.

I Live in Houston and have been to Double Dave pizza once before and love it. Love service . We came to the area again and I wanted to come back to Dave for lunch, so We did, the service We received from this young lady at the cashier so rude. ...so rude that I will never come here again. She seem like she was force to work.

The pizza was ok but the wings were bad. The service was weird the guy who took our older was not rude but he never asked if we were dining in or out so we ended up asking him for plates. He also tried to charge for blue cheese dip eventhough the wings came with your choice of dip.
