Freebirds is always a great place to stop in and get yourself a burrito, bowl, quesadilla or tacos. Chips and Queso are always delicious. The lemon cookie is amazing. This location has a great staff. The spot is very busy so the food stays very fresh and hot. Staff is awesome and super laid back and fun. Great location close to the Texas A&M campus. And many other stores are very close.

Food is good, but expensive! They charge you for every little add on, even sour cream. I’ll never understand why they insist on wrapping burritos like a joint, twisting the ends so everything just falls out and makes a mess

I'm writing this in Freebirds, looking at a poster that says "Everything is Bigger in Texas," while eating nachos that are 3/4 the size they used to be and 4/3 the price they used to be... To be fair, I'm still here eating the nachos. The staff are great.

I've been going to Freebirds since the early 90's, and can't recall a less enjoyable visit than this one. My wife immediately commented that the place smelled like a toilet, and I had to agree. And it was FREEZING in there; we went outside to be warmer - in December!! Honestly, my burrito was damn good, as Freebirds burritos almost always are, once you've figured out what you like there. I always start with a cayenne tortilla. But compared to some other chains like Qdoba, the extra charge for various ingredients is out of line. $2 extra for potatoes, the cheapest ingredient known to man? That's ridiculous!

Let me start by saying I hardly ever review unless my experience is hands down great or management should be aware there is an issue. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, especially around Christmas and holidays because I get it, customers can be a “challenging”. We started this order by asking about tortilla options and if they still offered spinach. Got an eye roll and young man said no. You can only get these options… he handed out plate off to next server who asked about beans and meats. Since me and my wife were sharing we looked at each other to see if we agreed, the server asked if we would just decide, then we asked if they had any steak that was cooked more than near raw. “No, the. Meat is cooked a full 2 min per side..(condescending tone) and guess what another eye roll. Food was great except for the chewy rare steak and the fact they put 3 tins what you want on the tortilla. Service was dismal and should be addressed. We came about a month ago and had same if not worse experience, said it may have been the day or just timing. Second try today will be the last. Which sucks. Have been a dedicated and long time (24+ year) customers.

Kept hearing "you have to go to Freebirds if you are in College Station". Well I didn't realize there are multiple locations and this one is not the original. The service was so slow, and the food was horrible. One bite of my burrito and everything fell out. No flavor at all, and nothing was fresh. I honestly would have rather had a $1 dollar menu burrito from Taco Bell than these $9+ burritos. The only reason I did not give it 1 star is because the lady working there was friendly. I would not recommend this location if you are interested in trying Freebirds!

The prices posted on the overhead boards are not correct, the prices are far more than posted. The burrito is dry. The chips are stale. Overcharged for chips too. Posted price with a meal is two dollars but the receipt shows $ 2.19 and the freebird chicken burrito (the middle one) should be $ 9.39 according to the overhead boards but the receipt says $ 11.59 , but the drinks prices Are Not posted. I've ordered the 20 ounce fountain drink -- charged $2.99 for a 16 ounce cup. I'm going to a different burrito place next time (not here).

Today I ordered a half bird and basically got a glorified taco. The amount of excess tortilla made the burrito look even bigger than it actually was when in reality the burrito was TINY. For reference, I am 5’1 and have small hands!!! If they actually give the right portion size it’s amazing!!! Need more consistency or you cannot hold a consistent customer base. Customer service was so good that I didn’t notice how tiny it was until I left because I trusted he was putting the right portions. And that in itself made me feel even more swindled, I’m not asking for a monster. I’m asking for A half bird not a kids taco

I think there is a disease in my body after eating this, the bathroom is disgusting and crusty/rusty, the atmosphere is fine but it smells like the boon docks and I feel sick. The employees are nice, and the food is so expensive and it feels and tastes like cold slimy dog food.
