We had a delightful time at Outback! Our server, Joe, was incredible. I came for a friend’s birthday and Joe did a great job making sure our needs were met while also giving us space to celebrate without being interrupted. The drinks were delightful and the food was good. I will definitely be back.

Went to Australia a few years ago and the food here reminded so much. Especially the fried shrimp and the Garlic butter over the sirloin steak. A little pricey but worth every penny, really wish I could've tipped the waitress more so hopefully I'll be back soon

Daniel’s hospitality was the best service I have received in any restaurant setting hands down. That young man’s energy, positive attitude and attentiveness reflects strongly on both his character and the management at this location; to the point that I don’t care what the man is currently making, he deserves a raise. If Daniel is working please do yourself the service of requesting to be seated in his section, you won’t regret it!

My husband and I came here for a date. The lunch specials were really good. There was a $9.99 soup and salad option but you had to add $2 or $3 dollars for premium soups and salads. Then there were options at $11.99, $12.99, and $13.99. There was one steak on the lunch menu I had the burger and fries and my husband had the blooming’ onion seasoned chicken fried steak with veggies (squash and carrots). The carrots were are bit Al dente but we learned that you can get the veggies double steamed or have them grilled. The service was excellent and it is run old school where the shift manager came over to check on us and asked us if everything was okay. I haven’t had that experience in years so it was nice. All in all I would recommend Outback for lunch and dinner.

My family and I had a good time at Outback in College Station. After the MS 150 I thought it would be crowded but it wasn’t so pleasantly surprised. The service was great. Greeted by the hostess Emily, Maegan was courteous and patient as she took our order. We were tired and hungry and ready to eat🙃. Our food came out and it was delicious. We started with the salads which were refreshing after being in the sun all day. My son and husband had the ribeye and I had rib /sirloin 6oz. Those two ate all of it! I had to take some of mine home.😉 The baked sweet potato was smooth and sweet. Thank you Scott and Jacob for checking on us. Next time we are in the area we will make a stop.

I was stuck in the hospital on my birthday. My fav birthday dinner is lobster. I ordered a special they are running. Steak and lobster for $19.99! Had it delivered and called the restaurant to make sure i got steak sauce. Summer is who helped me. I cant say how grateful i am. She made sure i had everything i needed to have my birthday dinner. Service was absolutely outstanding when I paid a visit recently while just passing through College Station for the night. I didn't catch any names, but I sat in the bar area where there was a single server getting a little help from the manager. My drinks didn't run out, my ribeye was prepared as I requested, and it sure paired off nicely with a couple of IPAs from Karbach. Even the gent who greeted me at the door was amazing.

This was one of my best restaurant experiences I have had in a long time. Our server absolutely killed it. I never had to ask for more bread or refills. The food was phenomenal and came out quickly. I left stuffed like a chonky Turkey on Thanksgiving. And let me tell you, it was GIVING. Period. I don’t remember my servers or hosts names, but shout out to the server with a nose ring, or food runner, and host with red hair. Y’all were amazing. 5 stars all around!

Honestly I don’t know if they got new management or what but lately the place is significantly cleaner and better managed than before. The food has become consistently some of the best of any Outback I have patronized. The prices are affordable and the atmosphere is a good balance of calm yet fun. One of the better restaurants in town (and apparently not done improving every time!) 5 stars.

The server was very attentive to our needs. He was very patient as he dealt with 2 handicapped people in wheelchairs. Everything tasted great.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to outback and I’m really pleased to say. It’s still the best salad In town with the freshest produce every single time. The steaks are already good anyway. Their Drive Up service continues to be excellent and staff is always so pleasant.

We were here with a decent size group and had reservations due to the group size. Everything was ready for us when we got there. The waitstaff was friendly. Our waitress was amazing! She was organized and attentive. Salads were coming out before she was finished taking orders. I don't think a single order had anything wrong with it. I had a salmon dish with shrimp, mushrooms, and a rich sauce on top. It was delicious.

I want to take the time to update a pretty negative review I left a few months back for items always being left out or wrong all together with the take out side of this location. I never stopped going weekly like normal but did start to become frustrated with that and took it to the reviews. Now fast forward to today and came in like normal to my Outback in College Station T.X. Tuesday 10-7-2025. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the management and the cooking staff. Everything seems like it has turned around and have been perfect in every aspect. I appreciate you all and keep rocking.

Since 1998 we have lived a half mile from the CS Outback, and had good and bad experiences as we watched it go through several management changes. Under the current ownership/management, things have improved dramatically! We often get to go dinners (and the whole experience, from ordering to picking up, is streamlined and personalized to perfection), and love going in for date night, too. The porterhouse and prime rib are my favs, and my wife loves the filet mignon, but this time tried the new shrimp and scallop dish. Loved it! Even the center cut sirloin, which we haven’t ordered for years because it was literally inedible, is VERY GOOD! Bobby was our server and did a great job, and Scott (MOD) took time to visit with us to make sure everything was great. If you haven’t been there lately, try again. You’ll love it.

Service: Our server Ashley was in every way accommodating. Gabby the manager came by to introduce herself and let us know she'd be around to help with anything. We felt very listened to about my allergies and every request was fulfilled. Ambiance: Quickly seated, many seating options. Low lighting and lots of themed decor. No weird smells, highly air-conditioned, nothing too loud. Food: the steak was phenomenal and made to my preference. The sweet potatoes was perfect. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I'd like there to be healthier side options. Millions of fibrous and tasty veggies to offer and you can do better than corn and carrots, or greenbeans with bacon. It's why America has a diabetes and obesity pandemic. My suggestion would be to add to the side menu and option for steamed green veggies and some nice greens like spinach and arugula.

Average Outback food and atmosphere, better than average service at this location.

Food was good but not as great as we’ve had in the past at Outback. This was our first time at this establishment and we were there at lunchtime. At a cost of over $30 per person for two of their smaller steak dinners with sodas for drinks (including tax and an 18% tip), I would’ve expected an exceptional tasting meal but it was just ok for the value. Service was very good… very attentive, fast and got everything right.

The food is always good, staff is nice, and everything was made rather quickly. I had the salmon which I definitely would recommend and we also had the cheese cake which I liked so much more than I thought I would. I’m very positive it’s premade but it’s good. No complaints

Could be better. My sirloin was a bit overcooked and my friend's prime rib roast was undercooked. Both were a little under seasoned. The quesadillas were really good for an appetizer. They actually took it out of the bill because they ran a little late with it. I'd say the steaks can be a little bit better.

Place is nice and clean. It also has a nice ambiance and the menu has good choices. The servers are the ones that make it or break it in the full experience. The server is the reason for the 4 stars i would have given it a 4.5 if the device would've allowed me. The food is pretty good and the prices are a bit pricey, especially if your not that hungry but i would go there again.

The food was pretty good overall. I've been here a few times, and I've had the best and worst steak in College Station here. It's kinda hit or miss. The raspberry cheesecake was surprisingly good. It's priced okay, and you get a good deal if you get the combos. The atmosphere is nice, the servers are friendly, and it's usually not too crowded or noisy.

Well, the service was good. The onion blossom was good, but maybe a wee bit over cooked. The stakes we're good and cooked as ordered. The serving sizes we're a bit large. Of the kind of steak we wanted, the smallest steak we could order was 12 oz. It ended yup being to much food. I tend to do portion control by ordering small cuz if it's on my plate it's going down the hatch.

We had just gotten a couple of gift cards for free, so we were ready to splurge. The food was heavenly! I'm only taking a star off because of the price. The waiter had a constant smile on his face - truly, a charming fellow. We got the Aussie sampler; didn't disappoint: onion rings battered and deep fried, cheesy bites and loaded fries. What's there not to like? We weren't in the mood for alcohol but we wanted to try some of their drinks. So got their strawberry kiwi Rita and their Wallaby Darned. Both were amazing, I can only imagine it being even better with tequila in it! They only charged us for a regular iced drink. For main course, I got the 12oz steak, loaded mashed potatoes, and fries. Definitely didn't disappoint. Ate to heart's content, didn't have room for dessert, left a nice tip for the waiter and headed home. Till I get another gift card then :)

Not going there again soon, had a bad experience, think it was food poison. Vomiting bad after gotten home. They will do better, things happen. No where is perfect. They tried to take care of it later. The young lady Manger in the day shift is wonderful.

This location is not very good. Being longtime friends with the President /owner of Outbacks in the Mississippi /Ten area….this one in TX does not measure up. One of the fillets was on the tough side and both were over cooked for medium. How do you run out of baked potatoes at a steakhouse at 4:30 pm? Okay so you are out of potatoes….they did not even come to tell us….but instead just sub for mashed….if they had asked they would have known I would not eat mashed with peeling in them….should have given customer the choice. So I had my steak while waiting on a potato. Next….we asked for the wonderful garlic butter. They did not bother to put it on the hot steak in the kitchen but instead brought out the steaks….then later brought out a lump of cold butter for us to put on the meat. It somewhat melted….but for sure not what we expected . We both left there says we would not return to this particular Outback and would just wait on dinning with them when we are in MS since they seem more on top of things with how it is to be done. The server was very nice and did her job very well. The rest left much to be improved!

After 20 years, I felt it was time for an update! This chain used to be one of my favorite spots for a night out, but things have shifted a bit. Of course, menus change over time, and I think a lot of it comes down to the cooks behind the scenes. The atmosphere is just as I remember—dim and cozy, which can feel romantic or a little dank, depending on how you see it. It wasn’t overly crowded, which is a nice plus for a Friday night, and we snagged a comfy booth in the bar area. To be honest, my food choices were pretty average this time around, so I didn’t feel the need to comment on everything. The wings were my fallback option, and they hit the spot. A surprise highlight, though, was the dessert! It was a delightful whipped chocolate treat topped with caramel and goodies. Such a sweet way to end the meal! For those of you looking for a drink called the Wallaby Darned or the Wallaby Darn Down Under, you might want to note that it’s not served in a frozen beer mug anymore, and it doesn’t have that fresh peach and champagne flavor like I remember. It seems like there might have been some changes since my last two visits, and it could be related to who's in the kitchen or behind the bar. I’m also curious if some of the preparation choices reflect a venue preference. The house salad is still served in a chilled bowl, which is nice, but the croutons aren't made in-house anymore. If you love your dressing, I recommend asking for it on the side. Otherwise, you might find your salad a little drenched! On a brighter note, I want to give a shoutout to the staff! Everyone was super courteous and helpful, and management seemed genuinely eager to ensure a good experience. Bon appétit!

On the plus side, we had excellent attentive service from our Server. He did a very good job. On the negative side, meal was probably one of the worst I've had in a very long time. Both my son and I ordered the Kingsland Steak & Shrimp Pasta and neither of us could stand it. Pasta was very dry and the steak was full of gristle, extremely tough, and had no taste. The dessert (Chocolate Thunder from Down Under) was good though.

Not worth $30. Steak was cold by the time I got home after picking it up and then be half gristle and undercooked after cutting into it. The standards at this location have gone down over the past few years and this was the last straw. At least the cheese fries were hot.

Let’s be real. Yes, the food is good, yes the steaks are good, but it is so overly priced. The best part of the meal were the steaks and drinks. The cheese fries were just regular fries that looked like they just put shredded cheese on it and melted it. The Mac’n cheese was a little disappointing because there was way too much pepper. Our waiter was very nice! We had to wait a littler for a second drink but he was very informative about it. It’s just too expensive.

Updated review: Ordered a kids steak meal with cheese fries on Postmates. The only option for the steak was well done. It was delivered charred and burnt. I tried calling to get a new one and no one answers the phone. $23 for a tiny burnt steak and fries. Old review: We went in right at 11 am on a Friday morning. Waitress was nice but the wait was ridiculous. The restaurant wasn't busy. There was only 4 of us and we waited about 50 minutes for our food. Food is always good though if you don't mind waiting.

My daughter and her husband took me there yesterday for Father’s Day. Myself and son-in-law both ordered the 13oz ribeye steaks, both ordered medium doneness. The steaks were rare on one end and medium well on the other end. They were thin steaks, maybe 1/2” thick and tough as boot leather. Absolutely the worst steak at a restaurant I’ve ever had in my 65 years. At $28 each they were a complete ripoff. There were maybe 20 people in the entire restaurant, on Father’s Day! We should have known it’s not a quality place to get a steak. We will NEVER go to Outback again! Don’t waste your time and money here.

I am giving the Outback in College Station, TX a one star across the board. Our family orders to-go. I ordered a half rack of baby back ribs, and I only got 4 ribs. Everyone knows a full rack is 12 ribs, but apparently Outback is trying to save money by only giving a third instead of half. This is fraud. The ribs were covered in about 1/2 inch of sickly sweet BBQ sauce, the broccoli tasted like chemicals, and the cheese cake was NOT New York and also tasted like chemicals.

Loaded potato was hard and cold. It felt like it was left over from lunch and heated in the microwave. Server didn't ask how I wanted my steak too concerned with other things. Mac and cheese was rough. Very disappointed because outbacks in other towns have been delicious.

Horrible service took two hours to get food. Waiter forgot us at the table for 45 minutes before we got to order.

Stopped in a 9:50pm on a Saturday night. They are open, supposedly, until 11pm. Seated myself at the bar. Bartender eventually comes over, "can I help you?" As if I'm lost or something. I asked for a menu, he brings one, then disappears. No drink order, no nothing. I ended up walking out. Avoid at all costs late in the evening.

Ordered 8oz steak and brocolli and received this. The toughest smallest brick of meat I’ve ever had in my life. Usually when I dine in the portions aren’t this small either.
