The long standing debate between Lanes and Cane's is a deep rooted and complex beast. I am stating here what is simply my personal opinion and not an overall judgment on which fried chicken establishment is entirely better than the other. I simply enjoy the chicken and sauce at the local Kentucky Fried Chicken the best. Which chicken place is this again?

I absolutely LOVE this place, I have gone here ever since I was 5. Never disappoints me, and tastes healthier than most chicken.

Love me some Canes chicken, french fries and their bread is delicious!! Do yourself a favor and get extra! Only thing I didn't care for was the 2 unisex bathrooms. No one wants to take their daughter into a bathroom that a man just walked out of. Just saying.....

I loved it cleanliness was on spot. The food was 10 out of 10. The only problem is the music is very loud in there. You can barely hear what the other person is saying if sitting across from you but that's about it. I love the atmosphere.

Food was served promptly and customer service was awesome. We did not wait in the line for more than 2 minutes. We ate inside of the place because the drive thru line was huge, meaning this is just a good.pkace to go for lunch or dinner with friends.

Very good chicken and fries! Friendly staff and clean environment. I recommend you eat chicken here. It takes them 2-3 minutes to cook the chicken and it is hot and fresh when they give it to you. I got free fries from the peel to win game they do every now and then but you do have to wait till the next time to eat (which is very soon for me) to redeem the food!

It was our first time. The food was ready before we walked to the table. The fingers were so juicy and great taste. The sauce is great too. We bought a basket of 6 fingers to share because I was not hungry and fast food is not my best choice, but at the end, I ate more than my hungry husband...😆

We went there after santas wonderland at it was really late at night and there was a huge line. I anticipated waiting at least 20 minutes to order and get our food but I was expecting longer wait time. We moved up quickly and they still asked us if we wanted ketchup or hot sauce. They got everything we requested and it was hot and delicious. I was so surprised of how fast we got out especially with the line and time of night. They were fully staffed I’m sure.

Raising Cane's is always a staple for my wife and I. We love the Cane's sauce and always have to order extra on the side whenever we go and get us some chicken strips. For such limited menu options they do a great job in always making sure everything taste good and is fresh. I don't think I have ever gotten chicken from here and it not been piping hot straight from the grease.

I come here about every other week, and I’ve never had a bad experience. The chicken is consistently warm, juicy, and crispy. Fries are always fresh, and lemonade tastes great. Cane’s is the clear winner as the competition’s quality is very inconsistent.

When I arrived the line in the drive-thru wrapped around the building and down the street, but less than 10 minutes later I was leaving with my food. The staff here are incredible, I know they were working hard that night but each one had a smile and positive energy, I was not rushed along at any point and my chicken was fresh and delicious. I'll keep going back for sure.

It's definitely one of the more popular places in town. The drive-through can have a long line, but usually, it moves fast. It's the tastiest place to get chickenfingers. It's worth giving a shot.

Cane’s is the same everywhere. It’s always been one of my favorite fast food spots. However this location is ridiculously efficient. Came on a Sunday evening, and it was packed inside. Therefore I decided to use the piled up drive-through. While waiting, I saw them crank through 12 cars in 3 minutes. I immediately had to leave a review.

It never ceases to amaze me how quick and efficient their drive through is, no matter how busy. I have literally been out on Texas in line and still will get through the line in 10 minutes or less. I've also never had an order wrong. They do a great job here.

Cane's chicken has been reliably tender and not dry. The toast is thicker with light garlic butter. Fries are nothing to write home about. Sauce seems good but I'm not much of a sauce person so I'll leave that to others to judge.

Raising canes is very good if you wanna eat with groups since this raising cane's is right next to Texas A&M, so if you have friends, I would recommend coming here! Oh yea and the fried chicken was very good! Perfectly crisp.

We both dine in and drive through at Cane’s. Both experiences are good with polite service and fairly quick orders. I learned I could request an extra chicken finger for the Kids Meal too.

Getting to that restaurant is a bit tricky as the parking and the road is a bit confusing. If you go during peak hours, you have to pay attention as it can get messy. But the service is fast and the food is delicious.

I’m a doordash driver, so while I cannot speak to the food (as I haven’t really eaten here), I have to speak on my experience with the staff here tonight. This weekend is Chili Fest, which has been an absolute nightmare for pretty much any food industry employee in the area. I delivered three different orders for this Cane’s tonight, and was beyond impressed with the team. When I came in, there were literally dozens of customers in the store, with almost all of them being college-aged kids who were *literally screaming*, rearranging the chairs, running back and forth, blocking the line, not listening for their order, and otherwise being generally terrible. Despite all of this, the staff were kind, communicative, and thorough. Not to mention the absolute volume of orders they were cranking out. From the people at the registers, to the people making food, to everyone working the drive through, this team works as a well-oiled machine. This was the kind of night that would’ve sent other establishments crumbling (as a former northgate bar back, I’ve seen it happen). Additionally, as someone who is hearing impaired and was seriously struggling in the beyond-loud environment, every single staff member came together to make sure I had the ability to do my job. I was so nervous when I walked in because I wasn’t sure how I’d possibly be able to place the orders and hear them called out, but the employees showed up every step of the way without so much as batting an eye. I was seriously teary-eyed by the time I got to my car because it could’ve gone so badly for me but didn’t. This team is comprised of kind, compassionate, dedicated employees who were willing to help a stranger without a second thought. They’re good at their jobs, but they’re also just good people. I wanted to leave a review in hopes that maybe a manager and/or the team would see what a big difference they made for someone tonight. Thank y’all for being wonderful humans. 🥹💜

The rude manager cut off the line inside when half our group had ordered. This was very sad to hear after experiencing an Aggie loss the same night. This was until Abby (not sure if i spelt her name right) saved our night he and provided us with food. I love Abby, and this 5 stars is only for her.

Unfortunately, I wasn't here to eat. Because I work for Favor, I was here to order food for a customer! Nonetheless, the service was fast and polite! I didn't have to wait long at all. I did have to make a second round in the drive-thru only because they were out of lemonade and I didn't know what kind of replacement my customer wanted. The guy at the speaker didn't mind at all! So, my 5 stars is for their great service! When I'm not on one of my THREE jobs 😳, maybe I can spare a moment to enjoy some of their food! 🤞🏾

My first experience at a Raising Cane's restaurant. It was great! The atmosphere was inviting and clean. The staff was polite and friendly. The food was delicious! The chicken tenders were crispy but tender and moist on the inside. Absolutely perfect. The fries were also crispy but soft on the inside, just the way I like them! The cane sauce is so addicting! So delicious! Love it! Also love the ice dispenser (crushed ice) and sweet tea. Overall excellent dining experience, especially for an inexpensive fast food meal!

This is my first time ever eating at Cane's. I finally understand what the hype is about. The service was so quick and nice and all the staff were spectacular. I love how the staff was cleaning as the customers were leaving, which ensures that the store is always clean. And most importantly, I LOVE the Aggie pride.

I love the food here so much. The staff is super friendly. They get your order to you in less than 5 minutes. Also very willing to let you substitute items in the combos. Also the sweet tea here is amazing. The best I have had at any restaurant. It can get a little crowded on Sunday and parking can be very difficult to find but I love coming here.

It was actually my first time trying Cane's chicken & I really enjoyed it! The Box Combo (4 chicken strips, coleslaw, curly fries & a drink) was great value for money. The fries were just OK, but the chicken strips with sauce was tasty. Initially my meal was served without the small coleslaw, so I had to go to the front to ask for it. But the staff was quick to apologize & promptly gave me the coleslaw.

I would like to share my experience at Cane's chicken as this was the 1st outlet I went to after landing in US. This place is amazing and serves the crispiest and juiciest chicken. The quantity is sufficient for a person who eats higher than average. The chicken burger has crispy tenders with lettuce and sauce, the best combination I guess, and you are overloaded with crispy fries. This meal will definitely make you full and you have unlimited soft drinks as well. The staff who work here are really good, and I remember one of them who came and handed me the food over because I was sitting far and could not hear his call. Amazing place to hang out with friends and a must go for sure.

Typical franchise for this chain. The chicken is consistently good, but fries are often limp and soft. Great place to eat a quick bite! Of course, being CStat, you HAVE to compare with Layne's Chicken. Personally, I'm a Layne's man, but I do love Cane's too!

This place was what you can expect from any average raising canes location. I'm giving it four instead of the average three because the service was very quick and the place was cleaner than the one I usually go to. Quality of food was good as usual, nothing crazy or exceptionally amazing.

I really love how tender the chicken strips are in tandem with their sauce. Their Texas toast is also always spot on. I would give them a 5 star, but they always seem stingy with their sauce. Also, get rid of the excessive styrofoam packaging and plastic. Do your part guys!

My tenders and the bread were perfect. I'm probably being a little picky when I say some of the fries were slightly overcooked - like they may have been mixed in from the previous batch. Still, pretty darn satisfying.

Don't love this place, but I really enjoy coming here with friends and family that want to eat here. Personally, I think this place is too expensive for what they offer, but that's because I'm a broke ass college student trying to budget everything and not get screwed over in finances. This place is good if you just get a normal box, but anything more and under, it's better to go elsewhere. Yet, even with the bad prices, they offer sauces, bread, soda, and a great experience for a good deal imo. Good place, but not my favorite or the best in College Station.

The food is consistently good, the service is usually good as well, and they move the line along quickly. The only challenge they seem to have is catering orders for pick up. Whether you place your order 1 day or 1 week in advance, you still need to call day of to remind them to get it packed up for you.

The chicken was good but it wasn't the life changing experience that some make it out to be in their posts. Having only one sauce makes it seem like a one trick pony. I don't think I'll be back but I can see why some people enjoy it. On the plus the lemonade was good.

I’m a dasher but merchant misunderstood my request: I have 2 orders and wanted a name label on drink to avoid confusion for 2 deliveries…my first delivery had trouble misunderstanding what I said too. Please put name labels on drinks next time because no drinks are listed on receipts. Why put drink labels when I know what they ARE by color!?! I said NAME only!! I was going to give it 4 stars, but after thinking about it i gave it a 3. I ordered through the app and got curbside. When you get curbside you are left with the impression that you skip the line and are prioritized over drive through. As soon as I parked i noticed the long line and thought nothing. After 30 minutes i got my food. That is not the issue. The issue is that after 10 minutes the rush hour was complete and the drive through was aboit as empty as you can get. So what were the extra 20 minutes for when they were made aware of my order through the app? That's why I'll give it 3 stars. Expectations were not met and although the food was great, it took way too long to receive through the app. If you decide to use the app, don't or choose the drive through pick-up option or even go through the drive through during rush hour. You'll get your food faster.

The chicken tasted good, but left my mouth feeling greasy after the meal. Not sure what they are frying the chicken in, but it didn't seem healthy so i can't go back.

Overall, it was a good experience. I don't know what people see in this restaurant. For me, the chicken is just okay. I just personally prefer to go anywhere but Cane's. But, when everyone else votes to dine here because it's their preference, I will suffer in silence to accommodate others. But, again. I can't say any bad about the restaurant. The chicken here is fantastic. However, they only have one dipping sauce and it isn't great. As an American, I want choices!! My biggest problem with Cane's and the reason for a low rating and why I won't be returning is the sauce again... They give you one cup of sauce whether you order two strips or four. There is actually only enough sauce (for me) for three strips. They will gladly SELL you an extra mediocre sauce for 40¢. I think that is ridiculous, especially for a large multi-state chain restaurant. Needless to say, I ate my fourth strip without sauce.

The chicken tenders are good and that is the best I can say about this fast food place. The rest is the very limited menu is mediocre at best. The most annoying thing besides the limited space of the drive through facility (do not attempt it in anything other than a compact vehicle) is the shabby drink cups, which are cheap cardboard with lids that do not fit. Lemonade in your lap is the order of the day.

I'm not sure why this place has such a following. The chicken tenders are the worst I've ever had. They were totally bland, even the sauce couldn't save them. The employees were super nice and got my order 100% right (we catered for our work place), but the chicken tenders have less flavor than cardboard.

The food here is always soggy and greasy if you go through the drive through, I think its because they are really busy. The lemonade also tastes like tap water. The briarcrest location is way better. I love raising canes but the last 3 times I ate here, both my wife's and my food were soggy and greasy.

I came for lunch today and the lady who took my order was kind. The cashier I paid with said no words at all. I ordered through door dash, I got 3 chicken finger boxes and all of our fries were half frozen. I called and was told by someone that they would just replace the whole order, but I needed to send pics of the uncooked fries. I did so, the person looked at the messages/pics and never reached out to me again. I will never spend another dollar at this location. We bought food here last night, and we asked for no coleslaw and extra fries in 2 of our meals and extra bread in the third. Our order was not correct, but we didn’t realize it until after we got home. The chicken strips were greasy, there were not extra fries or an extra toast in any of our meals. I was not impressed and after eating the food, I did not feel well just because of how greasy it was. I don’t remember it being that greasy in the past, but I was a bit younger then and grease didn’t upset my stomach as much. The best part of the meal was the lemonade, they have great lemonade.

I think this place is a rip off . I went through the drive through got a four finger plate and this cost $11 . The girl at the widow was really rude when I ask her for a extra sauce she gave me an attitude . The portion were really disappointing there was barely any fries and the drink was very small for a medium. Great food, but sadly a horrible customer service, the lady upfront had a distinguished bitchin attitude, that clearly did so represent “cane’s good culture”. The fries were lacking a significant amount of salt, and the chicken was a bit mid and did not meet cane’s standard. Overall a decent place, but sad to see how it’s quality decays exponentially.

This is the second time I get food poisoning from this location. Extremely disappointed.
