The place has some unique products but I have to say customer service puts you off! They had no shopping carts in the actual building( not sure if it was only today) but Sam's Club always has them in the building itself! Needless to say when the weather is cold if one forgets to take a cart then it can be a headache to go hunt for one! I was pretty amused that after i purchased my items and requested if I could borrow the shopping cart to put the items I got a plain ' No' . It would have been polite if this person at least tried politely to refuse my request! But the plain ' no' was hilarious' ! Clearly need customer service training!

As someone who drives a lot I very frequently need to buy fuel. BJs has some of the cheapest fuel in the area but rarely is there an attendant available to help. The pumps are often broken and unable to print fuel receipts which for some customers are very important. Calling the club while waiting at the fuel pump for assistance resulted in being on hold for twenty minutes and eventually ending up being answered by the deli. Deli then tells me they are very busy and hangs up on me. Completely unacceptable through and through.

I shop here often but first and foremost, the cashiers are so lazy. I give them the bags so they can bag my groceries and they just pile stuff on top of the bags like they don’t see them, I ask if they are going to bag it or not and they look all confused like they have never seen a bag before and ask what do I mean. Lazy lazy lazy. They stand there and chat or answer phone calls while scanning and hold people up and on top of it they have attitudes. If you don’t like your job, quit. Poor service when I pay for a membership. The online stuff odds ridiculous too, if your going to have “coupons” have them automatically apply at checkout. Hate shopping here and can’t wait for the Costco to open

Never had a pickup order filled correctly....either they forget to add items that I paid for, or they add items that I didn't order. The help really doesn't have it together. Can't wait for Costco to open in Guilderland....BJs in Colonie is finished when they do.

Really no point in a membership here. You pay to buy in bulk but buying individually at your local Walmart is still cheaper. And you don’t have to pay a membership fee.

Fault advertisement. I was told about the membership that is going on for $15. On 8/9/25 I went the wholesale club in albany. Went to the customer service to apply. And they told me they do not off that membership in store, it a online deal only. I try to show then that in store or online. And they did not acknowledge what i tryed to ahow them. Now i know someone that went there few day before i went and they had no issues applying for and receiving the $15 membership. Membership offer is good thru 8/31/25

Unfortunately, my experience with BJ’s Albany online was terrible, they sent the wrong order and will not refund me, the credit card company does not even want to refund $300, not even one item was correct, it was someone else’s order altogether. Second bad experience, The cashiers were openly complaining about how terrible their jobs were, they should have seats, they should be treated like humans, I get it. But then they start talking about how customers need to give them personal space. I was checking the screen to make sure my purchase was correctly put in, I do not want to be in your personal space FYI. If you hate your job so much, you should find another one.

Very poorly run. I waited for 5 minutes while employees in the deli argued and left before ever being acknowledged. 1 other person was there...I normally don't complain but this is the 2nd time in a row I went to the deli and never got service.

Be careful of scams/bait and switch. The fruits being offered had a weight of 5.5 pounds. When I went to go pick it up, I was told it was not sold by weight, but that it did not completely filled a box. Even after showing the product under the BJ’s app, the supervisor did not care.

I just canceled my membership with BJ’s because of their racist behavior. As a paying customer, I expected to be treated with respect and fairness, regardless of who I am. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. No one should have to tolerate discrimination, especially in a place where they spend their hard-earned money. I refuse to support any business that allows or condones racism in any form. It's time companies are held accountable for how they treat their customer. Enough is enough.

Drove 45 minutes to this BJ’s location to pick up a safe, I get there and the employee advised me his manger told him he can’t provide any assistance in the parking lot with lifting a 358 pound safe. Was told to come back with 2-3 more people. Instead I had to destroy my back lifting it myself into the back of my truck in the rain nonetheless. I wish I could give less than a 1 star review.

Specialty Computer Services

I've been a member here for years and that's coming to an end. Their customer service is just plain awful. I tried 2 different times to get a card for my son and their card machine is always broke. They do not refund properly when they don't have your items, so you always have to call and get them to actually do their jobs. Customer service in general has gone down the tubes. These young people have no clue to how communicate without using a cell phone and emoji's. It's beyond ridiculous. I made a small order today and it took 3 trips to my car to get it all. Tiny order, 3 trips and rude telephone customer service - she actually hung up on me after she yelled at me = terrible customer service. Shameful.

They need to be more customer friendly, I bought a product which was $7.99 on the shelf price but when checked out it was $9.99. I didn't notice until a customer waiting behind me asked about the product then realize it i was charged 9.99 then went to customer service and told her , but then didn't wanted to go double check the shelf price the talk to each other , and started talking about random things !! I was the only person in the line and I had to go and take a picture myself and come back to show her the proof , very rude and unprofessional!! She did refund me .

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at BJ's Wholesale Club during my recent visit. The cashier's behavior was absolutely unacceptable and completely unprofessional. I have never encountered such rudeness and lack of basic courtesy at any store, let alone a place that prides itself on customer service. From the moment I approached the checkout line, the cashier seemed disinterested and dismissive. They didn’t greet me or acknowledge me, which I could overlook if it ended there. But their tone was curt, almost hostile, as if I was inconveniencing them by simply being there. they rolled their eyes and gave a dismissive response, making me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with basic decency. This experience left me feeling humiliated and frustrated, and it completely ruined my shopping trip. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but there is no excuse for such poor service. I sincerely hope BJ's Wholesale Club takes customer feedback seriously and provides proper training for their staff to ensure this kind of behavior is not tolerated. If this is the standard of service at BJ's, I will have to reconsider my membership and take my business elsewhere. This is not what I expect from a reputable establishment, and I urge the management to address this issue promptly. No customer should have to endure such unprofessional and disrespectful treatment.

I was at the Albany NY store tonight trying to get gas. I left my card on my other set of keys so I went to get assistance from the attendant since I couldn’t scan my digital (app) card at the pump. There was no attendant in the small office. Calls to the store customer service desk were ignored. I waited nearly 40 minutes. No attendant that whole time. Not the first time this has happened. I’m going to get rid of my membership. I’ve had enough. This store has been a terrible mess every time I’ve been there. I don’t feel the potential savings is worth this much hassle.
