Beautiful Place with twinkling lights indoor and outdoor! Food was delicious with a variety of wines list. Desert was amazing. I had the Ahi fish with potatoe chips. Place is located on the on the corner in the heart of downtown redland. Place is trendy. Reservations are strongly recommended.
OMG we stopped in Caprice for a quick get away from heavy traffic. It turn out to be the best thing we did all day. If your lucky enough to get in Caprice ask for Leslie she’s the best. My husband, and didn’t expect such wonderful service, and best of all the food was to die for. Would definitely recommend the Salmon on pisto sausce. Ask for Leslie she knows how to make you feel welcome and treats you with such kindness.
Very cool atmosphere. The staff is an amazing group of young ones who accommodate your every request. We came in just as they opened for dinner. Being the first in, The drinks and appetizers were refreshing and tasty. Our meal consisted of banana nut squash risotto. Oh my goodness! We also had bone marrow, which was also very delicious. (Took the bone home for the pups).
We came here a few years ago and remembered how delicious the food was but couldn't remember the location. So, when we stumbled in the other day, we instantly raised our expectations. The place is tight and a bit cramped. The tables are small and, if not for the high ceiling, one would easily feel claustrophobic. What this restaurant lacks in space, it makes up for in decor. The lights, greenery and bar gives the place a cool vibe. As for the food, i highly recommend the Crab cakes. One word describes it: perfect! My husband had the Parsnip soup. He said it was good and ate every spoonful. Next, there was the bread the waitress placed on the table. It was buttery, crispy goodness. I wouldn't say it's better than Texas Roadhouse bread, but definitely good. For our main entrée, I had the short ribs. It was as tender as warm butter, but it lacked seasoning according to my preference. I thought it was slightly bland. My husband ordered the eggplant lasagna. It was good but nothing to take you to heaven. Our drinks were tasty and not too strong. I had the pomegranate mojito and my husband had the long Island iced tea. For desert, we enjoyed the apple dumpling puff pastry and the chocolate pecan tart. Overall, this place is a definite "recommend".
Monday night, and busy. We had to sit at the bar. I had the lamb chops which were cooked perfectly but didn't have that distinctly lamb flavor. The seasoning wasn't overwhelming, but I really missed that flavor. They were still good. My partner had the kirobuta pork chops, butterflyed, which were delicious. Service was ok, it looked like a training day for new waiters. House Cab, while excellent, was $15/glass. Expensive menu.
Very nice restaurant. Very cute, and the atmosphere was delightful, almost like it's a small town. They were quite understaffed, though, but isn't everyone? The prices are... steep, but I guess that's normal these days. I got the rainbow trout and it was scrumptious. The potatoes as a side were really good too. Small dish yet very filling. House bread was very good as well, I love places that give bread for free.
Really enjoyed dinner here. The food was good. I was really lookong forward to trying the braised beef short ribs but it was not offer that night. Decided to try the Butternut Squash Risotto, which was good. The service was really nice, and they have a patio for outdoor seating. I would definitely recommend Caprice.
5 stars because of the interior, the service, and the wagyu burger. The dishes are hit and miss. We liked the eggplant lasagna, the burger, but the spicy angel hair pasta and the daily soup was a miss. The interior is wonderful modern and cozy with high unfinished ceilings and openinga for the sun to shine through. They have real plants and trees all throughout the place.
Food is great. Service is hit and missed. Sometimes. Atmosphere is not too bad. If the weather is nice. I recommend sitting on the patio.
The food is very good and reasonably priced. Love the Mediterranean/Lebanese influence to the food. Menu is lengthy. I called to see if there was an open spot at the bar and they reserved one for me. Quite nice, thank you and I’ll be back be again..
Went here for our first time two weeks ago. Was pleasantly surprised. Drinks are super good. And the food!!! Let me tell you the food is amazing. We have actually went back already. Definitely keeping this place in our restaurant rotation!!
It had been a while since we dined here. But I'm sure glad we chose to come back (9/28/24). Dinner was delicious. Wild Yellowfin tuna , Butternut Squash Risotto and Beet salad. The appetizers, Kurobuta pork belly and Baby Artichoke Crostini, were excellent as starters. Everything was plated beautifully, and the quality and freshness did not disappoint. Thank you, Caprice staff, we'll see you soon.
Stopped in for lunch. Great atmosphere, very relaxed and friendly. The server delivered some warm, fresh, grilled bread drizzled with olive oil. Delicious! The Roquefort salad with grilled chicken was mouth watering. The portion size was incredible and every bite was sumptuous. The burger and fries with caramelized onions was delectable. Awesome staff made for a memorable experience.
Wonderful experience there last night. My partner and I went for date night. We had the Poblano Relleno, and the Risotto. Very delicious! Great ambience. Only downside is sometimes the street performers can be loud if you're seating outside. Next time, we'll dine inside. I loved the decor and atmosphere that I saw in there. Highly recommend this little gem in the heart of downtown!
My family and I went here for lunch and it is a great place. Attentive staff. Great food.
If you're in Redlands .. stop, just stop! From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with a warmth that set the tone for the entire evening. The customer service here is friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to ensure every guest feels welcome. One of the first highlights was the fresh bread served upon arrival. Drizzled with butter and olive oil—a delightful start to the meal that I couldn't get enough of. For my main course, I opted for the spicy angel hair, which was simply amazing. The balance of spice and flavor was spot on. It had just the right kick without overwhelming my palate. I also tried the Greek salad, which was a refreshing complement to my meal. The freshness of the vegetables and the tangy dressing made it a standout. The ambiance of the restaurant further elevated my dining experience. With its upscale vibes—tasteful decor, soft lighting, and a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere—Caprice manages to strike a perfect balance between comfort and elegance. It's the kind of place that feels special enough for a date night but still welcoming for casual dinners. Overall, I will definitely be returning! Whether you're looking for a cozy meal or a place to celebrate a special occasion, this restaurant should be at the top of your list!
Really a gem! Beautiful outdoor seating on the patio! Filet Mignon Carpacio appetizer was fantastic! Bone marrow was very well seasoned! The secret family recipe eggplant lasagne was the bomb! Wine selection was vast and well selected. Truely a memorable dinning experience!
This place was amazing. Great food, great service and a wonderful setting to mark a special event. With temperatures in the upper 90s, we were initially upset that our reservation preference for indoors was not honored, but with the patio misters going it was fine to be outside. Plus it made for good people watching. Everything we ordered, from appetizers to entrees, was delicious. Stand outs were the ahi tuna tartare, crab cakes, rainbow trout and the spicy angel hair pasta that seemed Thai influenced. Their pastry chef had made an almond plum tart that was to die for, as good as any in Europe. I only wished that the server had warned us that we had ordered too much. The portions are very generous; pasta dishes can easily be shared by 2 people. It did make for tasty leftovers...
This place is a hidden gem in the heart of downtown Redlands. My wife and I recently planned a date night here with reservations. The outside patio area has a charming feel to it while inside you’re greeted with plant decor and cozy bench seating with pillows. We started with drinks, old fashions, and 2 appetizers, bone marrow and pork belly. Both were delicious. The entrees we ordered were the salmon pesto pasta and shrimp pappardelle. They too were delicious. We barely had room for dessert but ordered the creme brulee which was, you guessed it, delicious. The service was very similar to that of a 5 star restaurant. This is truly a special restaurant that we’ll gladly be back to.
My husband and I ended up here spontaneously. We were not dressed appropriately but still were welcomed in. We definitely felt out of place with our casual clothing and no one judged us! We had wine, an appetizer wild ahi tartare and for main course we had Ribbon pasta with Buy instead of meatballs I did shrimp since they ran out (we came in late), Angel hair pasta with baby squid. Everything was seasoned perfectly and our waitress constantly filled out water glass and for refills on or drinks. I want to go back asap! Perfect date night. Also, we dinned inside. Quiet, dimmed light ambience.
Picked this spot when my daughter came to town. It was delicious. I had the filet mignon with the artichoke hearts. She had the pork chop with broccolini. My filet was amazing. Cook perfectly at medium. It was melt in your mouth flavorful deliciousness. My daughter enjoyed the pork chop. She said it was seasoned well. We had the cheesecake for desert. Overall, a great culinary experience. Thank you!

From the outside looking in it doesn't look like much, but the food is absolutely amazing! Every dish that we have tried has been delicious. The staff is absolutely amazing as well. The customer service is an A-Plus and of course we have to give a shout out to the cook because they are 100% on point
Wonderful restaurant and amazing food and service! Thank you Noah for the great service and special accommodations for our big birthday lunch. We have been going to Caprice for years and it just seems to get better and better. We appreciate the wild caught fresh fish especially along with the fine quality of ingredients. Superb! Prices are very reasonable as well.

The risotto with the butternut squash was not creamy as expected, but it tasted good. The wagyu meatballs were tasty, although I expected something spectacularly different (first time eating wagyu meat). The meatballs were cooked well, and the marinara sauce they came with was great. However, the food wasn't hot when it arrived. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. We went expecting high end food, and although the food is good, it's at the door to high end in my opinion.
Nice restraunt great service nice people talkative ..... need more room on tables .... comfy chairs tho .... the Flatbread was wak tasted like flat pizza with pumpkin on top .... the fries were weak the sauce gave it flavor .... I had high expectations of the wagyu burger I think I would prefer a five guys burger lol .... most of it was greasy (food)
1st timers here 👋🏼 Per usual, we try an array of items on the menu. First up, we ordered crab cakes & pork bites. Crab cakes get a 9/10. They were absolutely delicious but I would have liked them to be just a tad bit crisper. Pork bites get a 7/10. They were good, but really hard on some bites which made it hard to chew. For drinks we ordered the lemon drop, blood orange cosmo and an old fashioned. Blood orange was by far the most delicious out of all 3 10/10. Lemon drop was okay, but I’ve had the same flavor at other places 7/10. The old fashioned was good & had great flavor but was REALLY strong 8/10. For entrees, we ordered the waygu burger with cauliflower mash. Burger itself was really juicy and had amazing flavor with each bite, too much meat for my liking but my boyfriend would disagree. It’s just a thick cut burger. Cauliflower mash is a must try for sure. We also ordered the lamb with artichokes. It comes with quinoa but we wanted to try the artichoke. Artichokes were a huge let down so we actually sent them back and asked for the green beans with almonds. Unfortunately, they are also lacking in the flavor department. Lastly, we ordered the papardelle shrimp pasta. This was the winner of the night. Absolutely delicious. I wish I had asked for just a tiny bit more of the sauce but I would order this again in a heartbeat. Our waitress recommended the apple fila for dessert. It was okay. But just okay. Nothing to rave about. I’d go for another item next time. The puff pastry was a little burnt which In turn makes the pastry taste bitter. It has a nice crisp to it and is filled with semi sweet apples. We sat inside and it is really beautiful with dim lighting and comfortable seating. We can’t wait to go back honestly.
I came here on a Friday afternoon for the first time. It was a little confusing figuring out whether to go inside to check in or just wait in line for a server to come. There were a few people in front of us so we just waited and eventually after they sat those people they asked how many were in our group and seated us. I'm not really sure if that's how it was supposed to work, but if it is it seems a little disorganized especially if there are multiple groups waiting that are differently sized. The people that came after us were equally confused. We were on the patio which was a little warm, but nicely shaded. The food itself was delicious. We got a burrata salad, pasta with wagyu meatballs, and chicken breast with fries. I really loved the salad especially. The portions were good. They forgot to bring our bread out but remembered half way through our meal and brought it then. The bread was super good. We did have to ask for refills of our drinks, instead of the servers noticing when the glasses were empty, but other than that and the confusing waiting to be seated, the service was good.
I really enjoy a sit down meal at Caprice. This time, I just had an appetizer, dessert, and cappucino. PROS Friendly and capable service from Sidney and Jaden. They waited on us with a friendly and professional demeanor. The grilled ciabatta bread and tangy tomato sauce delighted the taste buds. The Meyer lemon creme brulee was above average. The cappucino was hot and a generous size. Delicious! CONS: The tiny Kobe beef meatballs were an excellently sized portion, but too well done. They cooked them a bit too long and were dry and crumbly. Great in the sauce though.
Food and service were great at Caprice. I particularly loved the restaurant week special menu featuring the three sisters farm and enjoyed the peach, burrata & tomato dish, as well as the three sisters salad. My favorite pasta was the eggplant lasagna in tomato sauce — it was phenomenal. The ribbon pasta el pesto was lackluster and needed flavor/salt, but the salmon was cooked to perfection. We also had the apple/pecan dessert a la mode and it was amazing. Overall I enjoyed my experience and would definitely recommend and come back when in Redlands!!
We came here for Valentine's dinner. Hubby made reservations easily. We arrived on time and were seated promptly in the patio. We needed to be sat elsewhere because we were in a high traffic area. Our new spot was perfect, it even had the overhead heat lamps to keep my hubby comfortable. The food was excellent. I recommend the scallops. The filet mignon was tender and perfectly cooked. The flourless chocolate cake was rich and decadent. My only complaint was that there was an over 30-minute wait between the 1st course and entree. When we asked about the delay, we were told that my filet mignon takes time to prepare. Mind you, I always order my steaks, medium rare. We were served our entrees around the same time as another couple who came way later than we did. It was a busy night for their kitchen so some delay is understandable. Maybe it was just due to that. It was not an inexpensive meal, so I expected better service. I appreciated the complimentary long-stemmed red rose as we paid our bill.
We had a lovely dinner, my husband and I had de lamb chops and they were very good, my son had the wagu hamburger with was amazing. And for dessert we had de apple cinnamon dumpling and it was delicious.
Surprised to find a great French restaurant in Redland. We stopped by here for lunch after visited 123 Farm. When we saw good reviews on Yelp, we decided to have lunch here. We found the restaurant was nicely decorated with charming design, but definitely didn’t feel French. Staffs were very friendly. Once we got inside, we were seated by the receptionist and the drinks were served. The ice tea was refreshing and cooling, that was very fitting for the weather which was 107 F that day. The foods were good despite the decoration of the restaurant was not much of a French design. I had a quiche with arugula. The quiche was done well. The crust was flaky and the the quiche was very cheesy. The house bread was heavenly. When they were served on our table, the breads were warm and buttery with herbal taste. Definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who happens to visit Redland.

The hostess that greeted us was a bit rude at first because we had a reservation for 9, but they only set us up for 8, then said she wasn't sure if they could add another setting. Other than that, the waitress we had was sweet and informative, the food was decent, but definitely expensive. I wasn't very impressed with much of the meal, but one of the dishes ordered was a pappardelle pasta with shrimp, and that was definitely the best meal at the table. Overall, it was overly priced, but still worth visiting.
Some things on the mental (Ahi Tuna) was overpriced... Coming from Palm Springs where I could get nearly twice the same amount for the same price at a boutique hotel restaurant that gets fresh fish delivered every other day, I found it interesting that one hour closer to the ocean it cost what it did, but I have to remind myself, I came from a foodie town with long established connections. That said, the rainbow fish and both the squid we ordered was in dire need of lemon. The brie chicken sandwich was very tasty, and I enjoyed the food, but I was extremely l expecting better from the way this place is marketed. Service was a little slow (I'm guessing because we didn't look like their normal clientele, but I digress). Overall, the service was professional and courteous. I give them kudos for not rushing us out after lingering a bit, and I absolutely LOVE that our appetizers and main dishes were brought out with appropriate timing (I get so upset when anywhere serves a main before a starter, or like 5 minutes after putting your starter down). The longer we stayed, the better service got (I'm guessing because we kept ordering). I was a little taken aback that when we asked for more house bread the greeter/busser (she was doing both) looked at us and said "it's $1.50 a slice, is that okay, do you want two?" I mean like, we're at a place that's supposed to be fine dining, why would $1.50 a slice make a difference after we literally just ordered $150 worth of stuff for LUNCH before taxes and tip!?! The girl saying that was polite and all, but like really!?! If I didn't ask the price, I'm not concerned about the price. All in all, I think the staff were nice, but its clear they lived in a bubble and weren't used to different looking people being willing to spend money on a meal. To be clear, they just didn't know what they didn't know, and nothing that I found slightly offensive was done knowingly or with mal intent, they just were culturally very homogeneous and didn't know any better. Long story short, the food was good, but great. The service was good, not great. The atmosphere was better than good (on the patio), and I enjoyed myself and would absolutely go back again.... I just write this detailed review to give others who are different a heads up on what to expect, and I Lso leave these comments in an attempt to help educate the restaurant so they do better, because again, I could tell they were chill, they just didn't know any better.
This place seriously never disappoints with their wagyu burger, I get it every single time served with fries. The burger has comté cheese, butter lettuce, and teriyaki onions is scrumptious and juicy. Fortunately my husband likes to cycle through the menu so he tried the eggplant lasagna this time, it was good but not exceptional and some of the items are overpriced but it's a solid place to eat.
Great place to eat if you are a foodie. 2 for lunch $100 one soup & sandwich. One 4 oz Salmon. We missed the lunch rush by coming at 1:10 Just about 8-10 other people inside & a few more outside. Pretty slow inside. They Set us down with water & didn't even ask about drinks. Over 20 went by & we are about to walk out when the guy said sorry he had to take a phone call. So We stayed & ordered our food. The bread came with our drinks. The guy says I know your in a hurry for lunch so I’m bringing your soup with your food ok? Yes please hurry. Soup came but no food. After 50 minutes we said just put our order in a bag we don’t have time to eat it. When we did get to look at our food they gave us a tail. We had told them 3 times, cook Salmon pan sear crispy, no tail. Ya she will not eat the tail. It’s hard & dry. So much for crispy. It was soggy Salmon. Goes to show you even the best restaurant with the best chef can have a the staff ruin your meal. I guess everyone has a bad day. What were they thinking. It’s considered an insult to be served a tail at a fine restaurant, especially asking three times that you don’t get the tail.

We took our elderly mom here for her birthday and now I see that we aren’t the only customers who've experienced extremely negligent service and cold tasteless food. Our drink order was 20 minutes from being seated, then another 20 to take our food order and then at least 30 minutes to receive cold food. Obviously it had been ready long before served. I see so many great reviews here along with the negative - unfortunately we had a shockingly horrible one. Left baffled that a restaurant could be so bad!!! If we didn’t have our elderly mom with us we would have walked out between drink delivery and food order.
Good was not cooled enough. Soggy crab cakes and gooey pizza crust. Service could be better.
My boyfriend made reservations for dinner because he saw they had french onions soup. Sadly we were not able to try it because we were told they had ran out for the evening. We had the crostini with prosciutto as an appetizer and that was good. We also ordered the pesto pizza and decided to not order anything else because nothing stood out. This seemed to bother the waitress and from that point on the service was not good. The pizza came out and it looked good but it was quite possibly the worst pizza we have ever had. It did not taste like pesto, the dough was similar to something you can get down the frozen section of your local grocery store. Ee each had a slice and could not eat more than that. We decided to get the check and go somewhere else.
I called in for reservation, and the nice young lady did help me. The atmosphere was nice. You go to a restaurant to eat good tasting food. This food at this restaurant was just the opposite. It took over 40 minutes just for the young lady to come and take my order, then once she did it and put it in, it took over an hours before I got it, and the food was cold and tasteless. The waitress was very nice about it. The horrible tasting food was 100% on the cook. The food was terrible. It was so bland they just put oil over everything. I had the lamb chops and the smashed potatoes, and I ordered green beans, and they gave me quints. The food was cold, like if it had been cooked and sitting up there, for I don't know how long. I will never go back there again. If I could give the food the cook make a zero I would.
Caprice used to be one of my favorites—great food, drinks, and polished service—so I came back for a second try after a disappointing recent visit. Midday weekend and not busy, three servers looked at us but said nothing. I initiated “Hi, how’s it going?” and was ignored. We moved to the bar; still no service until I stared down a server who finally said “welcome.” Shortly after, a staffer in a baseball hat (odd choice for the atmosphere) asked, “What do you want—drinks or food?” and tossed a single menu onto the counter for two guests. Meanwhile, the person calling himself the manager seemed preoccupied chatting/flirting with other servers rather than noticing guests. This place used to feel high-end—you paid for the experience as much as the food. Now it feels indifferent and, frankly, hostile. Did I come to box or fine dine? Being stared down like we were the problem was the last straw. We left without ordering. Hard pass. Citron or Green sleeves if you are in Redands.
We went for lunch and were seated on the outdoor patio right by a speaker. There was pulsating music with a base that was repetitive and loud. I asked the server if he could turn it down or move us and he turned it down but was still a problem. It was not relaxing or conducive to calm enjoyment of the meal. I will not go back here.
