bd's Mongolian Grill - Easton

I LOVE BD’s Mongolian Grill! I live in Cleveland and the one by my house unfortunately closed recently, but I was visiting Columbus a few weekends ago and saw that they had one in the Easton Town Center shopping plaza, and I knew immediately where I was going for dinner. Food was top notch, service was amazing, and drinks were super delicious too. I love the whole “hey here’s a bowl to make whatever you want and give it to the cooks”. That specific dynamic of a restaurant is so much fun and it’s amazing to see that Covid didn’t close this one down. I will be back very soon!!

Awesome place, I've visited a few times recently and love it. The combinations available are nearly endless. Servers are pretty good and restaurant is pretty clean though the ingredient areas can get a bit messy. We tried the rice, tortillas, egg rolls, pot stickers and enjoyed them all. Worth a visit.

I haven’t been here in years, but nothing has changed this place is amazing! My server Karri B (351) did an amazing job of serving. You guys are the best!

Pick your own meats and toppings to see a quick show of people cooking your order on a big round grill. Getting expensive. I miss the lemon juice to put on my meats. Not really a place for small kids. Full bar available. Take out also.

Absolutely loved my experience here. I think the food is great, it's sort of buffet style where you pick your own meat, toppings and sauces. They have appetizers as well and a soup/salad bar. Our server was on top of things and very friendly. The grill cooks were very friendly and entertaining. Highly recommend!

Ashton took care of me and my girls and she was so friendly and easy to talk to and consistently asked us if we needed anything. The cooks were great too. Great place to stop and get something to eat!

Ashton was amazing! I wasn’t going to get the bowl because I wasn’t feeling well, but she informed me of the options I had without pressuring me, such as just doing the soup and salad. Her service was quick and efficient 💛

Top notch server made for a great diner. Food was good with many options and sauces. If I lived closer to one I would go frequently. Kid prices and portions for under 10 were perfect.

Cam was a great server. Attentive but not over bearing. Keep my drink full and checked on me to see how I was. I was on lunch break got my food and done with plenty time to spare.

Our server Cam W. was absolutely amazing! Always friendly and was always asking if we needed anything. The food was great as it always is and came out in a timely manner. 5 stars is an understatement to the quality of service experiences. 10/10!

Our server was INCREDIBLE! Cameron facilitated an easy atmosphere that allowed for our party’s flow of conversation. He was attentive without being overbearing. He was friendly without being cloying. Ten stars to him!

Tonight was one of our only times here that it was not so busy that long waits were required, which made for a much nicer experience. Our server, Ashton, was amazing and took excellent care of us - I would ask for her again.

Please read sorry it is so long We ate at B & D Mongolian Grill in Easton Town Center on Sunday and when we received our bill there was a service charge on each one. I sent a message to corporate. My message and their response follows this explanation. Restaurant: Columbus-Easton, OH field: Why have you all started charging a service charge? We eat there several times a year after Dr appointments and gymnastics competitions. We have never been charged a service charge before. We had 5 adults and 2 teens. We always leave at least 20% as a tip but because the service charge was around 15% of each bill we only left the remaining 5%. My husband made the comment if this is the new policy we will probably never be back. This is one of our favorite places to eat and hate to quit frequenting your restaurant. Our waitress was very attentive and polite. I hope and pray you will stop this policy so we can enjoy your restaurant again. BTW our daughter is a single mother and her service charge was @ $14. Great lunch experience. Hayley was exceptional. She was very attentive and kept up with us and animated our needs before we needed them. She had a wonderful fun personality and elevated the dining experience to the next level. Food was good and vegetarian options were wonderful. Great way to enjoy family time and have a great dining experience. We will definitely be back! Thank you Hayley.

Cam was amazing. He suggested a hurricane marg with a bowl and both were very delicious. He was friendly and upbeat and very helpful when it came to my food allergy.

Food was great but the service was even better!!! Our server, Ashton was awesome! She was very attentive, injected humor and was just overall outstanding!!! We will be back and our server is the biggest reason why.

Seth was a great server! Seth was always quick with a refills. Made some great jokes! Always a smile on his face and so respectful! You dont get service like this anymore. Seth was amazing! Go ask for him. Will be back because of him.

Came to celebrate a birthday had a party of 7. Hayley was our server she was very energetic and patience with all of us. Very accommodating and friendly. Would love to have as a server again.

Cheryl gave us amazing service! Wonderful new friend of mine and I just adore Courtney the manager who is a friend of mine! They really did take really good care of us had been years since I had been there and I will be back now because of it. I took a big group in there and they all had a wonderful time they had so much fun they went back the next day!!!

I love the food and friendly service! The cooks are lively and aim to please, and our server Hayley E was an absolute gem! She checked on us often and made sure we were satisfied with everything! What I loved most is how Hayley took time to get to know us and even offered great tips of how to stack the food in your bowls. This was especially important since we had some people in our party who had never eaten at BD’s before. I will definitely request her next I dine there.

I love BD’s Mongo grill for many reasons - you get to pick the ingredients you want and it’s easy to do so, prices are very reasonable as long as you know how to stack the $13.99 single bowl, they give you unlimited tortillas and rice (white or brown), and I love the grilling. It may seem daunting for the uninitiated, but it only needs a first attempt to get hooked on to this way of eating. There many many choices, but it boils down to - what do you like eating - is it meat, chicken, seafood, vegetarian- you name it and you got it. My go to is sriracha chicken plus regular chicken, add tofu and lotsa eggs (yes! it’s real eggs in shell that they’ll break open and cook for you), yellow noodles, lotsa garlic, cilantro, jalapeños (I like spicy food!). For sauces there are so many options, my base sauce is spicy wing sauce, plus king pau. For spices my pref is a mix - curry, ginger, garlic, Cajun, red pepper flakes.

I am a pretty good assembler and food was cooked well. The only ding is the brown rice was still a bit underdone but firm so it wasn't horrible

Our server was hailey and she was absolutely wonderful. She was very pleasant and kept glasses filled and fulfilled our groups every need Our dining experience was excellent

This is where my grandson chose to eat at for his birthday. I personally have never been here. It was a different experience. You can either order from the menu or do the buffet ... you take your bowl, pile up everything you want from your protein to the veggies and seasoning and sauces, then take it over to the big griddle and the cooks cook your food while you stand there want watch them cook. Food was pretty good... don't forget the yumyum sauce.

We had Valentines day reservations. The reservation went fine and smooth. We got sat on time. Our waitress Ashton was prompt at first but then things went south. We ordered an appetizer and we got up and made our bowls the appetizer wasn't at the table yet. We were more then half way through our meal when it came out. Another server apologized for our server not bringing it out. Our server went Mia for awhile and our drinks didn't get refilled in a timely manner. She then came back to give us the check when we were finished with our meal and still hadn't got our first refill yet. Normally we have really great experiences for example we got engaged here in 2023,just today was an off day.

We went with the family today for lunch. Building your own bowl is our favorite way to order. They lost half my son's bowl in the floor, and put someone else's sauce on our bowl. The cooks seemed very overwhelmed with the amount of people waiting. The servers were very kind and got all our drinks out quickly but we did wait for our checks for a very long time. We will go back at a hopefully less busy time.

I visited bd Mongolian recently and had a mixed experience. Unfortunately, the food was disappointingly overcooked, leaving a lot to be desired in terms of taste and texture. The organization definitely needs to work on the proper cooking level. I know you can not serve raw food but they way, way over cook the food. I have been to other establishment and they cook the same food for half the time. The white rice was crunchy dry. Really over cooking the food ruined the taste completely. For this type of food, I would not go back. On a brighter note, our server Cameron was excellent. He was friendly and attentive which made the dining experience more enjoyable, despite the culinary letdown.

First visit. I was not prepared for the raw meat buffet. I have an issue with raw meat, it looks gross. Luckily, I was able to move past that and prepare myself a semi tasty chicken & veggie, weird spiced meal. I tried to follow the recipe cards but could not locate some of the spices and just threw in “wateva”…big mistake-Don’t Do That! Overall I enjoyed the experience and the steak was surprisingly good quality, (not a bunch of fatty pieces). Not my cup of tea. It could have been delicious, had I followed a recipe. I just don’t want to deal with raw meat when I go out to eat. 3.7

I was really disappointed with my experience. The floor was sticky and dirty and the table was dirty, which made it hard to feel comfortable eating there. The service also took far too long, and my order wasn't too my satisfaction — they forgot my white rice. Overall, the cleanliness and service need serious improvement.

Brought my family from out of state. The service was super slow when there wasn't a crowd. 10mins after we were seated, the line was out the door. I ate my stir fry way waiting too long for the fried rice and brown rice that was undercooked. The meats were empty. Had to get someone to refill. Not sure why there isn't someone station to clean around all tbe food to avoid contamination. The labels are still not visible for people to see. It could be better. Way better

The waiter was extremely nice! However, we were given LUNCH menus (wasn't aware there was a difference) at DINNER so we expected to pay $13.99 for the bowl but dinner price was $18.99. I did ask about it and that's when we found out it was actually DINNER and according to him "the lunch menu must've been stuck to the dinner menu". I didn't go back and forth about but I know what I saw! We paid, still tipped, and left. Before 4pm is lunch. FYI

I had not been here in many years and had great memories of this restaurant and experience. Unfortunately, the decor looked like it had not been updated or cleaned since I was there in 2009 and the service was disappointing. The selections were limited and the the chef on the grill seemed like he wanted to be anywhere else... It used to be so fun and unique but the food was mid and not worth the cost.

Nothing like some raw chicken with dinner. This was served to my 4 year old daughter who always enjoys chicken. I asked her for a piece to see what was wrong with it and this is what I got. Wife mentioned her raw shrimp seemed undercooked also. Service and atmosphere were good until after this happened but unfortunately the food wasn’t cooked all the way. Seems like a major problem…

It’s bad food, all of it was burnt so much so my noodles were crunchy. The service was horrible, our waitress didn’t say hello or introduce herself and took far too long to bring all of the stuff. The grill was disgusting, they were throwing raw eggs against the wall which were falling on the floor and in the hand wash station without being picked up, dishes were being thrown everywhere and shattering, a ton of cross contamination on the grill and in meats and noodle section, and possible temperature abuse to the meats, no person on the grill cleaned their hands or their spatulas after touching eggs or peanuts, all HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS. Floors were disgusting, bathrooms were dirty, with no paper towel dispenser, and clogged toilets. On top of all that there was a service charge that I was never told about, and was (according to the manager) posted on the menu I only got to see for 5 seconds before my server took it away and asked for our drink order.
