We love Golden Chopsticks and are so happy Mei has reopened! My son worked for her all through high school and wanted to come visit so knew we had to eat there. The new local, in the same shopping center is lovely and the food is even better than I remembered! Everything was delicious and I can’t wait to return.

We have ordered take out from Golden Chopsticks for a long time, and were sad that it closed. SURPRISE! They reopened at a better location in the same shopping center. (The sign over the door says “Gold Chop Stick”, just like the old location.) We decided to dine in rather than take out. The dining room is small and the decor is simple, as before, and very clean. The owner waited on us and served, and we talked afterwards. It was a pleasant experience, and the food was delicious.

Food was very hot, fresh and flavorful! Wasn’t oily or overly sweet/salty like some other places but rather well balanced- plus they have 3+ sauces at the table if you’d like to customize it. Attentive and polite service, didn’t have to ask for water or to go boxes. The restaurant was clean and tidy. They also have paper menus to take home in the front. Will be coming back in the future!

I'm shocked by the bad reviews that Golden Chopsticks has received. We have ordered and dinned with them for almost 8 years and always had good food and service. I also use their online ordering system and it works properly every time. The food is always hot and consistent.

Small but nice restaurant. Service was good but they should have followed up at least one time as we needed a refill and had to seek their attention. Ordered general tso . Food arrived and was not the standard taste or color. I believe my order was possible mixed up as it was almost honey color with a very sweet taste. Wish i knew what the dish was , because i would definitely eat it again. The egg roll was really good as well. Price seems to be a little higher than my usual spot but id definitely add this place into the rotation.

First time here. I had the seafood casserole with steamed rice - yum! Cleaned my plate and it was a generous portion. Excellent service and a variety of selections.

She cautioned me the bottom of the bag was hot. I was very happy with the quick and friendly service. Will go back and this time as a dine in customer.

Ordered Take out and the food was less then par. The food was dry and seemed like it wasn't fresh. It seemed like the food was of the same quality of what I might get out of the freezer at my local supermarket. The portions were small for the price we paid. I have eaten at almost every Chinese place in the area and if you want better food try china delight on 336N, it is comparable in price and the portions are better.

TLDR - Good prices, poor/No service or drink refills, food not bad but not as advertised (all sweet, no spice). Small but nice, quiet place though some light music would have been nice instead of the Chinese language cooking show on TV. The hostess/server handed us menues then walked away to stand behind the register where she spent most of her time while we were there only interacting with patrons if they came to her or it was time to collect payment. There were 3 other parties there, all already eating but we didn't see her interact with anyone or us unless they went to the register to request takeout boxes. We had to do the same. We ordered beef with garlic sauce & Mongolian beef, both of which were supposed to be spicy but were both very sweet as were the "crab" rangoond. I asked the server about it and she claimed they were supposed to be sweet even after I pointed out they are marked on the menus as spicy dishes. The food wasn't bad but not what we ordered or expected. I had to refill my husband's drink from my own because there was no service from the server or hostess though she was very quick to bring our check when we were done. Then she asked my husband if he needed a refill and I told her I'd already refilled him from my own drink since she provided no service whatsoever. Honestly, the food was okay, reasonably priced, nice location, etc but I still don't know if we will return. My husband is far kinder than me and gave the woman a 16% tip for doing nothing whatsoever. She would have been lucky to get 5% from me. If the server/hostess can't or won't provide drink refills at least put out a damn tea urn and let us refill it ourselves but do not expect a tip!

I went to try this place after they reopened their new location closer to Herrera's and was very disappointed the first two times I ordered from them. The first time I ordered the veggie plate and was kind of surprised at the the lack of variety of veggies (there was maybe 3, I think), I expected more of a stir fry type dish but instead, the vegetables were sitting in a thick light colored liquid. I was a little too thrown off by it so, I just ate the white rice. The second time I tried them, I ordered the sweet and sour chicken but could only eat 2 pieces as the chicken tasted like FISH. I figured that maybe they used the same oil to fry both? I gave them a third try because their lunch plates are VERY cheap (they include a bowl of soup and an egg roll) and was glad I did because their beef and broccoli was MUCH better than the chicken and veggies. My plate came with two scoops of rice (I went with the fried rice) and a very tasty egg roll! I chose not to have the soup as I didn't like it the first time I got it (dumpling) and didn't want to waste it. The young man who works the counter is very friendly and helpful, while the female is cold and rude, so the 4 stars in service are really for the young man. My opinion is that their lunch plate prices (about 10 bucks) are fair for the quality and taste of the food they serve but I definitely would not pay dinner prices.

I don't know what it is about the woodlands and conroe but it seems no Asian restaurant knows what an actual eggroll is or what fried rice is because this place and numerous others I've visited have the blandest food ever that is not fried rice. I'll stick to going to the hood spots from now on they actually know how to cook fried rice and actual eggrolls DO BETTER!!!

Honestly very disappointed in this restaurant. Have had it when family ordered it and it was decent. We recently order delivery and it was over an hour late. The food was cold. It was missing items. And there was a hair in our orange chicken. Spoke with the restaurant. They wanted us to text them an image of the hair (unusual but fine). They then told us to never order from there again and to go somewhere else because we let them know our concerns. That was the end of the conversation. Very unprofessional. Will honor their request and eat elsewhere from now on.

The staff here is rude and unprofessional. We have picked up from there before and the lady working the counter is always rude. Tonight we ordered via a delivery service. The restaurant sent our food with the wrong driver. When our driver showed up to get our food, there was no apology and they refused to remake the food. They wasted our time and the drivers time. So while the food is decent, the horrible customer service will keep me from returning. Do better.

No flavor at all on any of the dishes! The soups taste like water, the fried rice tastes like steamed rice with no flavor, the same for lo mein dish. We had to put salt and pepper on them at home. Soy sauce didn’t even help with flavor. The only item decent to taste was the egg roll. I guess We’ll continue to drive 30 minutes south to the Great Wall. :(

We ordered two takeout entrees. I suspect mine was previously frozen because of the consistency of the sauce, and the chicken was totally chewy. I ordered General Tsao's Chicken, which I have ordered from other Chinese restaurants many times, thus I know what to expect. This was our first experience with this restaurant and our LAST.

When we tried to order for delivery. The person over the phone told us that their driver had mark us as a “non-tip” customer. First off, we always tip (in cash) But for them to assume that we don’t tip is wrong. They automatically did that not considering that they deliver to a hospital that has many employees and patients order to be delivered to this facility. She insisted that we use DoorDash, yet they are not listed (at least for us). But for them to just fault for not tipping. This establishment is surely unprofessional for allowing their employee to X orders because of a tip. Then she had the nerve to say fine that she would have the driver deliver but as long as we give the driver at least a $10 tip, because people still need to make a living. Are you kidding! I just hung up and decided to toss their menu away. We would gladly tip and we always tip +$10 but to have the nerve to tell us. Suggestion: if y’all so tied up that your delivery person “requires” a tip. Maybe you should apply a delivery fee. That way the person is guaranteed to get something for their effort.

Golden chopsticks restaurant is next to the TESLA showroom on the FM1488. I had visited their restaurant to take out food however the food quality is not as good as other Chinese restaurants. I was very disappointed in terms of taste especially the fried rice! Fried rice is a very simple recipe to execute. The flavors usually pop up when properly executed. In this case it tasted horrible. I was eating some fruits to take out the bad taste of that fried rice. Panda Express definitely still be my favorite spot as their food tastes much better, apart from PF Chang is definitely a five star experience! I rate golden chopsticks 1 star based on the taste of food, execution of the food, quality of ingredients used, and looks, etc. Nothing impressed my other than large TESLA yard with several cars and CT’s. I would not go back to Golden Chopsticks.

It pains me to give this two stars knowing that there's probably a family's livelihood at stake. Due to this I'm going to refrain ripping like I typically would and post something to help the family make changes to be more successful. I ordered Kung Pao chicken to go and here are my thoughts: - 3-4x's too much celery - Onions were totally flavorless - The sauce was super thin and didn't really stick to the meat - Totally missing heat even when I ate a pepper on its own I'm no Chinese food expert, so I could be imparting my Americanized food preferences. Please send me a message if you make changes I'd love to try it again with the hope of improving my review.

Yea, all the bad reviews are legit. Everything had a strange chemical smell to it. It's as if they steamed everything in pool water. Everything I ordered was bland. Even the white rice was sub par. Wont be going back

Very disappointed. Ordered the general tso's chicken, tasted like orange chicken, meat was so tough I could not bite through it with my teeth, rest of the food was fair at best. Also a bit pricey. I would not be able to recommend.
