The Kitchen has a very unique concept. It is casual, yet the food tastes and is presented with a gourmet flair. We ordered the Chicken Lettuce Wraps and the Thai Chicken Salad which was split between two. Both had rich, fresh flavors and the peanut dressing was exquisite! There was nice outdoor or indoor seating. Drinks and a coffee bar are also available for those just looking for a nice cup or Joe! Would definitely return to try other food and coffee options.
The location is a corner of a multstory office building. First thing First, you have grab at menu at the entrance & figure out what you want. You grab a table & do that or just stand & do it. You then go to the counter & order your food, you pay at that time (including tip). You get a tracker to let you know your food is ready I thought, it let's them know where you are located to bring it to you. It is definitely different to start off with, but truly not a problem after made aware of the routine. The breakfast we had was very good. Poached eggs were perfect (no uncooked whites). Rhonda's croissant bacon & eggs was perfect also (crispy bacon). We sat at out table & watched the young lady make coffee orders FAST one after another. Yes they were very busy at 9:30 in the morning. We will be back. It is not a sit down restaurant, with wait staff. But I believe it is better because each team member is available to assist at any time.
Our 1st visit was amazing. It was Valentine's Day brunch so it was very busy but not wait after we placed our order. Nice space with comfortable atmosphere. Food presentation looked like it was straight from a magazine. Looking forward to returning another time.
Second time visiting and decided to leave my final thoughts. Both times we’ve been have been during peak eating hours, once on a Saturday. Overall we are very satisfied with the food items we ordered and received. Menu has a large variety of food items but we mostly went for breakfast type of meals. Easily recommendable as far as food goes. More then likely you will not be disappointed with your food options. We had multiple typical breakfast plates as well as some salads. Ended up ordering some lattes and cakes. Breakfast items tasted well and would definitely reorder. Lattes where really good. Ordered some slices of cake and they also tasted well. Trying to find some negatives but nothing comes to mind regarding the food. It’s a busy place and lines can get long but food comes out at a reasonable pace. Can get busy and large parties may find a hard time finding seating. Definitely not a quiet place. Plenty of parking. Overall I can easily recommend this place if you’re in the area and looking to get some food.
Very good food! I had the “The Kitchen Classic” breakfast and the mimosa flight. The pancakes are so fluffy and taste delicious. The potatoes are seasoned so well. If you haven’t tried breakfast here then you are missing out😊.
Out 1st time here. Was not sure how to order but staff was friendly and informed us. The manager was very helpful and friendly. He gave great suggestions. My son loved the cinnamon roll pancakes. Over all the food was great. Definitely recommend this place.
We had a party of four and the experience was wonderful. Our table ordered two blackened chicken pastas, mahi-mahi tacos, and a steak quesadilla. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor — the food was absolutely great. There was a small mix-up where my sister’s order of blackened chicken pasta was accidentally missed since we ordered two of the same dish. However, Mr. Kurt quickly stepped in, placed the order for her right away, and made sure we were taken care of. His professionalism and attentiveness really stood out and turned the situation into a great experience. The service and food were both excellent. Thank you, Mr. Kurt, for taking such good care of us. We truly appreciate it and will definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Bold, spicy, and unforgettable. Every dish allowed the natural flavors to truly shine. This experience is a perfect reminder that less really can be more when done right. The atmosphere is refreshingly unconventional, offering a unique yet understated dining experience. I especially enjoyed the ease and flexibility of the setup, with open ordering on both sides and self-seating that made everything feel relaxed and welcoming. What truly stood out was the leadership presence was personable, attentive, and intentional about making our first visit memorable. The complimentary carrot cake was the perfect finishing touch 😋. Highly recommend, my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment.
I'm not embarrassed to say that I was too excited to eat so I didn't get any pics. Let me start with those brussel sprouts!! Did I mention those brussel sprouts? Slightly crispy with a soy caramel glaze (we asked ) it doesn't make them sweet as the word caramel implies. Just know that if you go and you like brussel sprouts then order them and don't forget a to go order of them as well because you will want to relive it. Ok now that I have written more than I ever thought I would about a vegetable... The cinnamon roll pancakes were delicious without being too sweet or overbearing. The eggs and breakfast sausage were delicious, tasty and fresh. My mango lime mimosa was better than I expected it to be. It seemed to be frozen fruit based and not ice based (there is a non frozen version but get the frozen, trust me). The staff was extremely pleasant from the counter to the table. I am happy this place has only the Woodlands location and it's not close to me because I would have unhealthy relationship with it. I will drive for food so going back is definitely going to happen. There is also a pastry and coffee bar if a full plate is not on your agenda for the day. Just don't forget your to go brussel sprouts!
Let me start by saying Garrett is the absolute best!!! His customer service and hospitality skills was a 100. We truly enjoyed chatting with him and his recommendations were on point. He really made our first visit so warm and welcoming. My daughter and I went for the first time today and everything and everyone was so great. The food was phenomenal and so tasty. We had the Steak n Eggs, Steak omelette, Cinnamon Roll Pancakes and Banana Foater French Toast. DELICIOUS!!! Will most definitely be back often.
Today was my first time at The kitchen and I will definitely be coming back, although it is a cash free environment, all me and my dad had was cash, they made accommodations and still let us pay!! Garrett, our server, was so kind, he gave us a piece of cake for our first time, which immediately made us realize we want more! I got the Cesar salad which was incredible, but the lemon cake sealed the deal! We decided we were going to put some money on our card so we could come back and try more of their delicious looking pastries, as we started cleaning up, Garrett told us that even though we didnt have a card on us, the manager said we could pay with cash because we loved the food so much! If you like quick, delicious, and fairly cheap food with some amazing service and a very nice and well kept place, visit the Kitchen! I had an amazing experience and I will definitely be there again.
The ordering situation was a bit chaotic. The manager told us we could order at the coffee bar but they wouldn’t take our order so then we had to get in the back of the normal Line which was now much longer. So took forever to order. Food was very delicious we really enjoyed each bite. Would maybe go back if it wasn’t so busy with the chaos of ordering there.
I recently tried the Oak Grilled Eggplant, and it was excellently prepared — both in presentation and seasoning. The flavors came together perfectly, with the angry tomato sauce, cheeses, and pesto complementing the grilled eggplant beautifully. Portions are generous, easily big enough for two or bordering on family-style servings, which makes it great for sharing. The prepared waters were also a nice touch and paired well with the meal. Where things fell short was the atmosphere. The cafeteria-style setup already feels out of step with the gourmet quality of the food, and the laminate tables carried just the right amount of stickiness and leftover grit to noticeably lower the dining experience. Overall, excellent food and value — but the dining space needs to catch up with the kitchen’s level of execution.
Update: I visited The Kitchen again after a great first experience and I'm happy to say it's still just as good! I was hungry and in the area, so I decided to run it back and try something new. This time, I ordered the Southwest Steak and Eggs with a side of chicken sausage to go. Everything was on point the potatoes were crisp, the eggs were fluffy, and that fire roasted salsa took my taco to the next level. 🔥 Consistency counts, and The Kitchen definitely delivers! We visited The Kitchen in The Woodlands this past weekend and really enjoyed our experience. We ordered the Texas Breakfast and the Southwest Steak and Eggs, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The portions were generous and packed with flavor. Some standout items included the fire-roasted salsa, breakfast potatoes, chicken sausage, and the lemon pepper avocado—each added something special to the meal and showed great attention to detail in the kitchen. Even though it was a bit crowded when we arrived, we had no trouble finding a table, and the atmosphere was lively but comfortable. The staff was friendly and kept things moving smoothly. We’ll definitely be back!

One of our favorite places to grab lunch when we are in the area. The Vietnamese chicken Wings are amazing. Ruben and some crispy skinny fries! Food comes out fast and hot.

This is one of the fastest and best quality kitchens / restaurants in The Woodlands. They treat you like family … Destiney and Bruce are amazing along with everyone else. Highly recommend it.

This is a great casual place for both moderately priced and more expensive dishes. Very nice selection of salads for the health conscious. Rotating tap on Fridays a nice touch.
Delicious food at reasonable prices. Great service as well. They have a number of offerings not found everywhere. Excellent selection of wines, craft beers.

Wish I had a big mug of The Kitchen’s Texas pecan coffee right now! I really enjoyed their coffee ( as well as the flavored unsweetened iced tea)! Even though it’s been so hot in this area since …
When we arrived I thought this place was awesome. They have a coffee shop, restaurant ordering station, and some produce? Very neat! We ended up getting a very delicious breakfast. I got a coffee before we left and it was delicious. We decided to stop in for a coffee on the way to work the following day because I liked it so much, and appreciated how it was seperate ordering counters, etc. They were busy!!! Not the coffee section, but the restaurant section with a line almost out the door. However the line for the coffee had like 8 people, odd as they had menu's, an older couple who probably didn't know any better and some young large families waiting inline with menus who ended up ordering breakfast from the Coffee Kiosk. Sure they were told after that they aren't supposed to and given a heads up for next time with an exception for this time. However it kind of sucks if you do that every time as for the people stopping in for a coffee or smoothie, it makes them less likely to return. Would have liked if the manager or someone when they noticed people with menus step in would give them the heads up before they got to order (Because I understand on the otherside people who wait in that line and then told no and put in the longer CORRECT line would also complain as I am)
My wife and I brought our daughter and her fiancé here for breakfast. It was very busy when we arrived — the line was about 20 people deep — but it moved along quickly and the staff handled the crowd well. For food, our daughter ordered the Caesar Chicken Salad with Parm Truffle Fries (about $18.50 total) and said it was pretty good. Her fiancé had the Kitchen Classic with a cold brew (around $18) and thought it was average. My wife ordered the Crispy Mahi Tacos ($14) and said they were excellent — definitely the standout dish. I had the Avocado Toast ($14.50). The flavor was good, but it was served a bit cold and would’ve been much better slightly warmer. For four people with tax and tip, our total came to about $83. So the prices are on the moderate-to-slightly-high side for breakfast, but not unexpected for the area. Overall, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food. I’m giving it four stars mainly because my Avocado Toast wasn’t quite warm enough, and one person in our group felt the meal was just average. Still a solid spot — especially if you try the Mahi Tacos.
When I arrived, the place was packed — the line to order was almost out the door, which naturally raised my expectations. The food was decent, but not quite as impressive as I’d hoped, given how busy it was and the price point of each item. One thing that stood out was the somewhat disorganized ordering process. Instead of clearly communicating that there were two separate lines, the manager was pulling people from the back of the main line to a shorter one, which created some confusion.
First time here, We had a great brunch experience. Seating is a bit limited, But we did go in on a Sunday. I ordered the Texas breakfast, and it was absolutely delicious—hearty, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. My significant other had the lobster tostada with fresh fruit, which was okay—the lobster was a bit too fishy for him which overpowered the other flavors. But was ok. We also shared the fleet of mimosas, which were so good and were freshly made! The portions were big, and everything else was top-notch from start to finish. It is a little on the pricey side, but definitely worth it for the quality and experience. Highly recommend!
We tried this place for Mother's Day. The gentleman who took our order at the counter was awesome as were most of the servers. To our surprise, it did not take very long to get our food. The only complaint our group as a whole had was a lack of flavor/seasoning to the food; most of it was pretty bland. The overall experience was nice, just crowded and busy as you'd expect for the occasion. We will definitely give it another try during a less busy time and perhaps try a lunch plate instead.

The Ruben was on dry bread toasted and the meat was also dry. My wife's Chicken Quesadilla was also lacking flavor. It has been two years and no step up to the prices that are charged.

Breakfast was 10 out of 10, and I couldn't wait to come back. This is dinner, and it disappointed. I have to shout out the people that take the orders. They are so dialed in. They know the menu, and they're working in a very chaotic environment. So they should get a raise. But this chicken sandwich disappointed. We had it already, and it was fantastic. Now it's dripping. But breakfast was out of this world good. I'm torn if I should go back. Restaurant is in an odd location. It's kind of like a medical office park, but there's this restaurant there. Google took us through some back parking lots to get there, so maybe have some local guides pin your entrance so people come in the proper way. Just a suggestion.
Our party of four went here for brunch on a Friday, late morning. The venue is setup where you make a line and order from the counter, then find a table. The coffee, tea, and water station is self-service. The Texas Pecan coffee was excellent, although it would have been nice to have an assortment of creamers versus just the plain half-n-half creamer. Specialty coffees and breakfast drinks, along with an assortment of desserts are at another station. While our table was along the side in the main dining area, I would not recommend going again on a Friday morning, as they were hosting a large group of real estate professionals, and all the tables in the middle of the dining area were rearranged for the group. Most of the participants did not sit at their tables. Rather, they stood in small groups networking and discussing business, making it hard to navigate to our table or to have much conversation at our table due to groups basically standing right beside our table the whole time. On to the food. Our party had various versions of the Texas Breakfast, each choosing different style eggs, and one opted for the cinnamon roll pancakes versus the standard pancakes. All items were good tasting, but nothing out of the ordinary. I will say that the “3 pancakes” included as part of the Texas Breakfast were quite small…3-4” in diameter. One in our party ordered the biscuits and gravy. What a let-down! The skimpy portion of gravy tasted OK, but the croissants did not go with it at all. They were a tough and chewy mess. Definitely need to rethink this menu offering and maybe switch to more traditional biscuits and gravy options! On the positive side, the server that brought out our food was courteous and helpful.

This place is underwhelming in comparison to reviews. The wine selection is probably what is most enticing about this place. The amount of food was incredibly minimal for what we spent. My espresso martini had ZERO alcohol in it even though it was $10. Benedict’s plate was good but the potatoes were crispy squares. They were so small there was no soft potato inside and they were actually more filled with veggies than they were actual potatoes. The avocado on the Benedict’s basically stretched a small slice of avocado spread across the two muffins, so they can’t justify the price because of the avocados. Plus the food was not seasoned very well, it was bland before adding salt and pepper. The steak plate came with 5 small strips of steak, basically raw tortillas, and the same issue with the potatoes. Plus the steak plate was not hot at all. Our brunch was not worth $70 AT ALL. Very disappointed. Just an fyi tables are first come first serve so it is cut throat to grab a table inside, especially when it’s cold outside.
