Had a fantastic lunch today after the Dr. visit. I had the Katz special, a corned book on rye with Russian dressing and cole slaw. My only complaint was it needed a little more Russian dressing. The was fixed ASAP by our waiter, Gee, when he brought me an extra cup of the dressing. I also had the house fried chips (FANTASTIC). My wife had the Monte Cristo. It was great but the sweety/spicy dipping sauce was next level great. We of course ended with sharing a cheesecake milkshake. Tres Leche! Gee gave it a shot of caramel since it obviously needed more sugar...lol. We love our lunch and will be back again!

The food was delicious! I had the 2 sauce pasta with shrimp and wifey had the turkey breast sandwich. We loved the spiced hot apple cider too! And Gee was a great server with plenty of suggestions! This might become our new go to spot when we're visiting Houston and need a place to eat late because we always find ourselves needing a place to eat late here!

Great food, great atmosphere, awesome staff. Delicious Corned Beef and Pastrami. The Ruben is classic. The salmon lox sandwich is delicious. The stuffed cabbage is excellent. I definitely recommend Katz.

It was our first time coming to Katz and I can say it was the best! We were greeted by the manager Mr. Drew and had an amazing waiter named Christian always coming by to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was amazing the service was incredible. I highly recommend this place! You won’t be disappointed at all!

I’ve been to almost every Katz’s location including the one they used to have in Austin and I finally got to try this one in outside of Houston. It was surprisingly quiet for a Thursday night, with maybe five people inside, which made for a super relaxed experience. Service was excellent the staff was very friendly, accommodating, and there was no wait at all. Parking was easy too, which is a big bonus, especially since it’s conveniently located right off the highway. As always, the food was fresh and satisfying exactly what I expect from Katz’s. No matter which location I visit, they’re consistent with both flavor and quality, and this one lived up to the name. Definitely a great spot if you’re looking for a laid back, no stress meal with great service. I’ll be back! Katz’s never kloses!

Ambiance: Upscale diner that's open 24/7 and perfect for curbing literally any craving at any time of the day! What I like about Katz's is that they've put a "fancy" twist on a classic diner. It's a nice ambiance & in my experience always quite clean. The menu is large & expansive - with options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or desserts/snacks. My husband works a later evening shift so I love that Katz's is an option for a late night date night! It's also the perfect post-evening spot for a quick bite or curing a hangover. Great breakfast spot for families, fun place for hanging with friends, and also ideal for dining alone. Parking onsite. Lots of seating options. Busier at certain times of the day. A bit pricey for diner food but I feel that the quality and ambiance is worth it! Highly recommend the succotash veggies!

Only been once their sandwiches were delicious, good ingredients and good taste. The only set back is the price 45$ for 2 sandwiches and a soup? If u don’t mind over paying definitely good lunch place!! Will be try breakfast next time I go

We moved to the area 2 years ago and every time we drove by this place, we remarked that we should try it one day. So after all that time we finally had the chance to stop in for lunch. We were seated quickly. Service was fast and courteous. The food was great. We had the French Onion soup and split a full Reuben. I was a little skeptical about the authenticity of the Reuben but it was just like we like it. If you haven’t been here, you need to go. If you have been here, you need to go back. I know we will!

Katz is a go-to for us, especially late at night. The food always comes out hot. The server always came in and checked on us, and same with the manager. A couple things to note: chicken was cooked to perfection, the cheese balls were delicious, and the cheesecake was fantastic! Regardless, all items were perfect. The servings are always large. We had a pleasant dining experience and always look forward to returning to Katz. I recommend to check them out if you’re looking around.

Food was solid and delivered on what you expect from Katz’s. The sandwich was good — generous portions, fresh bread, and well put together. Simple, satisfying, and filling without trying too hard. The drink was also good, refreshing and paired well with the meal. Atmosphere has that classic diner energy, service was fine, and overall it felt like a reliable spot to eat at. Nothing wildly fancy, but it does what it’s supposed to do — and does it well. Would come back. Solid 4/5 experience.

Katz tagline is Katz never kloses… this branch operates 24 hours so if you need a bite late at night, this is the place. I ordered buffalo wings with ranch and a Yankee pot roast sandwich in the wee hours to go. Service was prompt… the place was well decorated, brightly lit and vibrant with lively music. Overall I’m impressed as a tourist visiting. Yum !

First of all, I was super impressed with the cleanliness of Katz’s. Most chain restaurants in the woodlands are not well maintained. The atmosphere was bright and fun. G was our waiter and he was so sweet. Management came by to chat and check on us. I was really impressed with how friendly and personable they were. I can’t wait to go back. The food we ordered was cooked well, just not to our taste. But I think it was what we ordered, I really want to try more to see if anything else is more to my liking. Cinnamon roll was delicious!

I had one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time at Katz’s in Shenandoah, and I will never be back. The food was disappointing across the board, especially for the prices. On top of that, service was painfully slow from start to finish. Our waitress seemed completely lost — we had to repeat ourselves multiple times, and even basic things took forever. But the most frustrating part was the BILL. Our subtotal was $47.71, and with tax the total should have been $51.63. Somehow, the receipt we were run for payment showed an amount of $61.37 BEFORE tip. That’s nearly a $10 unexplained increase. We didn’t catch it immediately because the receipt layout was confusing, and we had already handed over our card. After adding a $12.27 tip, the final charge came out to $73.64 — which is almost $22 more than the actual food total with tax. When we finally realized what happened and brought it to their attention, we were told it was an “equipment issue.” That explanation made zero sense, and no one clearly explained where the extra charges came from. We were handed a second receipt, and honestly, that one wasn’t any clearer. At no point did anyone take real ownership of the mistake or make us feel confident that this wasn’t something that happens regularly. Being overcharged and then given a vague technical excuse is not acceptable. Between the bad food, slow service, and billing issues, this was an incredibly frustrating experience. Double-check your receipts here — we won’t be giving them another chance.

Walked in. Waited. No staff on the floor. Went to the restroom, waved at the cook while walking there, and came back to no staff on the floor. Waited a minute or two more and left to go to Jack in the box. I got prompt service and a smile at their drive through window. 24 hours is nice, but if you advertise it and markup prices because of it—have staff ready 24 hours or you will make people go elsewhere during all 24 hours. At least a greeting and a notice of how long service will be. Katz has good food, but I will only be going to the more southern locations because management needs assessing at this location. The Katz in the heights has much better decor. No military discount at Katz and Jack offered 20%. I’m not a penny pincher, but I always ask so I can leave waitstaff a 20% tip plus whatever % discount they might give. Don’t take my stars or lack of and take it out on the chain or this establishment. Maybe it was a bad night for them. Experience it yourself and vote with your own dollar and review, whether it is positive or a one star. This was just my experience tonight after a previously sour experience a week ago. Be ready to spend $17-20 for a sandwich that fills one person. Slaw and a pickle are included in that price.
