I’m a local contractor and have been going to bushs for years. had the pleasure of meeting your gm one day and she was amazing at helping me with my catering order went in trying to spend 100 spend $189 instead and they were well spend my staff deserve it and she made sure we had out set up and all. every few weeks I kept going just to receive the amazing service she gave us then this past week I go in and I’m told she’s not here no more let’s just say I was disappointed and so was my staff I asked a employee and they said she should be back in a week or two so Mrs gm we will see you soon and don’t leave bushs it will be sad if we have to go elsewhere service and quality were the plus for us.
I love their tea!! It's so addicting!! Prices are reasonable. Not a fan of how you drive up and order as it can get busy at times and the workers may miss you. Other than that, I haven't had any issues.
Cashier were very professional and polite.
This place is good, the chicken tenders are big and juicy, and so is the fried chicken. I prefer the fried chicken from here because the batter is moderate, not e ccessive.i like it very much and the staff is great.
The gentleman that served me was very kind and friendly. He went above and beyond providing great customer service. The food was a good hot temperature and it tasted fresh! Definitely my gizzards had been freshly cooked and not stuck under a warmer for a long time.
I am so thankful for Dana Benson! She went above and beyond with customer service. Very friendly and was absolutely sweet to my children. She was very professional and took care of our order right away. Because of her I will definitely be returning to this bush’s ❤️🥰
I always come here, and the food is perfect! Employees are great, and have an awesome attitude. I never have to wait more than 10 mins for my food, and there's always extra. I love this bushes so much! It is my absolute favorite! And I they NEVER get my order wrong I highly recommend this to any bushes chicken lovers!
Service was slow. However, food was damn good. Got 6 piece tender meal, box was kinda heavy. Gravy was great, samwith roll. Fries were boring but overall a good meal for under 14$$
Love their tender Tuesdays so I decided to have a small meal there. I usually don't like to complain about my food but I had a very small tender I mentioned it and the manager immediately gave me an extra tender. I am very happy! I will be back!
Upon arriving inside to place a to go order, the establishment appeared clean. The young man behind the counter looked mr in the eyes and walked away without a single word...but Ms. Dari was very pleasant in taking my order and explaining it would be a few minutes for fresh okra. That young lady changed my whole perspective of the experience I had here

I have always loved Bush's Chicken and went here for the first time. The flavor of the chicken is the best around. It was a great meal for our family.
Bush's chicken is simply the best place , for the combination of the heartiest robust gravy, mashed potatoes and roll. But don't miss that they pull off the impossible...their livers are fantastic! Only Bush's could pull off a miracle and make the most nutrient rich liver taste incredible. Liver is a top 3 all time superfood.
We ordered takeout from here a few weeks ago. We got the Family sized Chicken Tenders, and Fried Chicken Gizzards with Mashed potatoes, gravy, French Fries, and Dinner Rolls and Sweet Tea. Food was well seasoned, hot and tasty. Will definitely return again and would certainly recommend this place.
I was on this side of town getting some work done on my vehicle and decided to pick up lunch for everyone. I ordered a family chicken strip meal. My order was taken promptly, and was not waiting long before my order was ready. I was in and out fairly quick. The only issue I had was one of my mashed potato containers was crushed to the point the lid was in shreds. I scraped out some of the potatoes that were on top and served that one first because the container was also damaged. Everything tasted fine and everyone ate without a complaint.
Food is great, service can be a little slow. But over all a great place to eat, we've never dined in. Drive thru kids are all so polite and friendly, sometimes not very fast. But the food and tea more then makes up for it. Also, the managers I've observed are very good. You see then actually working with there staff not just yelling out orders like some places. Great place!
Can be a hit or miss, when they're in the zone and working it's great but sometimes at night it's a 30 minute wait, one night we took off waiting so long for someone to come out to the drive thru
The chicken was surprisingly good! I went around 5:15 p.m. on a weekday. The Establishment was clean. The employee wasn't too interested in serving me though. This restaurant is near a high school and it looked like young people working there. At any rate it did not affect the quality of the taste of the food.
I always drive thru so I can't speak to the overall atmosphere. But what I can speak to is the gizzard plate! Man do I love me some fried gizzards with gravy.

Really Enjoyed the food here. First time going and was very pleased. Top 3 for sure for fried chicken in my opinion as of now. Went through the drive thru and wasn't expecting for an employee to take the order in-person, but the gentleman that took my order is very polite and took care of it. Before I knew it, the order was out and was on my merry way. That was quick! I would recommend and definitely return. Funny because I was going to go eat somewhere else but were rudely ignored and not seated so decided to stop by here. No regrets!
Ordered a family pack, was told it would be a 15min wait for more chicken, I had no problem waiting 15min, there was a family who ate their entire meal while I waited for mine…after 30 min wait, I asked about my order, they weren’t even aware my order was still pending …last time I come here
We've gone to this place at least a half dozen times now, and I keep wanting to have the same experience we had at the store when we lived in Killeen, which we visited weekly. I guess it's just not the same. Anyway, their carhop system is not as efficient as they purport it to be, so this time I went inside. I'm glad to see that dining rooms are generally open again, but their open-concept kitchen could use some remodeling. They did get my order right, so that's a plus. And I'm glad they don't keep dozens of corn nuggets laying under heat lamps, like all the chicken. I think it would be better if they made the chicken fresh, at least when they do not have the business to support the volume they kept warm. (I wish I'd taken a picture.)
I don't know why but the chicken wasn't good at all and they cooked for me hot it didn't have any seasoning taste to the chicken
The food was delicious, I can't say enough about the flavor. I had the 2 piece, and they were huge pieces. My only issue was the floors and countertops. The floor was littered with dropped fries and buns. It's like no one bothered to sweep the floors. The countertops were smeared with what appeared to be mashed potatoes. Again, it was not cleared of the accumulated side dishes that were spilled. Cross contamination??
A few of the teenagers that work here do not respect the management and lack of professionalism by playing in front of the customers. The kitchen can Bradley be a little cleaner according to my teenage son that was a little reluctant to eat there. Overall, it’s a fast food restaurant that provides f fried chicken. Three stars.
I never had an issue with the food, but the wait time to get food at this place busy or slow is just absolutely ridiculous. The other Bush's never seem to have that issue, just this one in particular. At least in my experience.
Our waitress was really polite and friendly and informed us the special. ..we ordered the 10 piece family meal... I admit the chickens was hot and fresh but seemed like it was on steroids.......the wife complained about lack of seasoning and salt....and my biggest complaint is about the saltless soggy French fries...and last the lack of variety in the peices of chicken.
This store, service was terribly slow. Thought the employees were gonna get into it. I will say, food is nice and hot when you get it. I guess my issue was there was only 2 people working, trying to take care of the drive thru and customers inside. Please fix.
This is an alternative to Church's chicken. The atmosphere is much better and bigger. So that's the good. The bad part is we went inside to order to go. It took over 20 minutes and we were the only people there! Lastly, the order was wrong when we got home.
Everyone make sure to check your receipts when you order at this location. We went on Tuesday 5/27 and ordered the Tuesday tender special and we were charged full price. I called to let them know we were charged incorrectly and the employee said he spoke to the manager and said there was nothing they could do about it. I’m not asking for a full refund just refund the amount I was overcharged. Update: I spoke to the GM and he gave us a credit to use at our next visit.
This was my first time trying Bush's Chicken. I hoped for better but received a really mediocre meal. Neither the tenders, or the 3 pc chicken had any discernible flavor. The tenders were a good size and they had a decent bite to them, but there was just zero seasoning and zero marinade to make this chicken worth ordering again.
First, let me start off by saying it took 5-6 minutes for anyone to come out and take orders. I ordered 4 piece tenders, 8 count gizzard, and 8 count half gizzard, half livers. I received my tenders (no roll), and a box of half and half. When i continued to go back and forth with the young lady who took my order, she just seemed flustered about what I was asking for. Eventually she went and got my other order id paid for.
We ordered take out of 3 piece mixed chicken with roll x2 and a 4 piece chicken tender meal for a grand total of $33, amounts to about $3 per piece of chicken. The chicken was so crispy with breading, more breading than chicken almost tasteless. Had to repeat the order multiple times as the lady taking the order just didn't pay attention. We were offered no honey nor anything. Don't think we'll patronize this store again.
I just went through drive thru. My order came to 18.59 I am angry at the quality of the food. The young lady that took care of my order was very polite, but she did not add my military discount nor was the food even edible. I through away 18.59. The gizzard had to be sitting for hours. They are black inside. The gravy was not mixed all the way it has lumps of flour. I'm very upset!
This location looked very dirty and worn. They only had 3 employees. 1 cook, 1 prep, 1 cashier. The guy at the front had to work front and drive thru and run did outside. Stood for 10 minutes at the counter before able to give my order. Way under staffed, dirty location.
I door dashed an order to my house. My order was not comply. The food was fresh. They forgot some items. I told door dash driver. Never t back the were closed. ( location in Converse, Texas 78109 area) . I called Bush’s Chicken spoke to manager Dana today at 2210 pm. Dana listened to my concerns about my order. Dana proceeds to say, “We do not carry Jalapeño poppers any more. Not at this location.” Informed her the online app does not say that. Dana stated, Well there is nothing to do about the because we have jalapeños. The drinks well, you need to call the main number to get your money back.”
Service was awful and super slow. Chicken came out hot but had zero flavor—completely bland. Corn nuggets were the only good thing. Fries were okay, mashed potatoes were basic. Not worth the wait or the attitude.
My bread was squished and raw I was afraid to eat the chicken the only good thing was my refund staff was polite possibly needs new management
If I could give this location a negative rating I would. Not only did I get hiked out of items from my order but when I called and spoke with a representative that answered their phone I was told to give my name and come back and they would replace my order for my trouble. When I went back the GM told me no and that she knew nothing about it. This business is poorly run and their reputation doesn’t matter to those who are charged to run it. I rarely give such negative reviews but since I trued to explain my experience to the ones in charge I was merely pushed away without further investigation towards my complaint. I then went to their website and made a submission of my experience and was never contacted or replied to. I will never put my money towards a company that doesn’t value their customers nor should anyone else. Shame!
If you want to get no service this is the place for you. Waited in drive thru no service went inside still no service. They weren't even busy I guess just lazy.
"Slow and unfriendly". It seemed as though they were short-handed however the wait time was outrageous. I stood at the cash register at least 10 minutes and not once did either the manager or shift manager say we will be with you in just a moment or that they were sorry about the wait. They act as though they were upset because they had so many customers, Unfortunately, there was no type of urgency at all. Quite frankly, they were not deserving of my business or anyone else's. Finally got my food order, The food was good at least.
I used to really like this place, but i have tried to pick up food in the drive-thru 4 different times (once a week for the last 4 weeks). Ive sat waiting in the drive-thru on each occasion no less than 5-10 minutes each time with ZERO service. This place has teenagers running the drive-thru with zero management or anyone to maintain order. It’s not the teens fault because they’re just doing their best. But this place needs Real Management badly. I wasn’t the only one to just get frustrated and drive off after waiting so long today.
I had shown up about 40 minutes before closing, they already had the doors locked. When they finally came out were extremely rude. I would understand if I showed up 10 minutes before but it was enough time to take a to go order. Terrible service. Needs a new crew.
40 min wait from the time we ordered to getting our take out food. So much for it being so called fast food! Simple order, 2 orders of 2 piece white meat, coleslaw and fries to include a gallon of tea. This reminded me of why I do not frequent this establishment and would rather go to Church's. No exaggeration here, cars leaving after 15 mins of waiting to have their orders taken, I would have left had they not taken my credit card and charged it. Had I known of this ridiculous wait, I would have left. Maybe 3-4 cars waiting at any given time, the person waiting on us said they were not that busy being a Monday. Go figure. Management needs to fix this or you will continue losing customers. 4 cars easily left. Terrible Service!
I went it pick up and online order at 9:25PM, I was told by one of the young ladies that it’ll be 15 minutes the chicken was just dropped, I pulled up further in line to wait... 35 minutes later I finally received the order, the employees do not pay attention to all the cars they seem to forgot or are not attentive. I was given my order by a young man that told me the person making the order started making other orders first. That’s not an excuse. Better management is needed, or a supervisor needs to be supervising this kids taking orders so they can be attentive.
Worst service!!! I waited in the drive thru for an hour and wasn’t even acknowledged until I was able to get someone’s attention. Then after I was acknowledged they still skipped me and took orders and delivered to the people sitting behind me.
Bush's is on the top of my list when it comes to hot, fresh chicken and fast service. This location however is the complete opposite. I spent 30 to 45 min in the drive thru with the first 20 to 25 min waiting for my order to be taken. Not sure if they were using a different breading or flour to fry their chicken but it wasn't anything like any of the other restaurants I've been to. The chicken was tasteless and over cooked with too much breading on it. It was dry and tough. Even the rolls were overcooked. They should be soft and moist not hard and dry. I usually don't write reviews but it's was hard not to write one about this location in Converse because Bush's is one of my favorites.
I like their food. However, they do not train their employees at all. I’m at the drive the drive thru and a young lady messes up every order she took. Unfortunately, I get this young lady, and she messed up my order three times. She forgot my sides for two meals, forgot my drinks, and has math issue problem. If my meal is $25.09 and I give you $40.09. How in the world did she come up with $13.00 change? Bush’s management, please monitor and train your employees better! Customer service is a necessity in the food business. I’m not sure if I should feel sorry for her or feel robbed! I’ve been coming to this place since it opened. Please bring your standards back up to how you used to be!
By far the worst establishment I have ever eaten at. My family and I decided we want to try out Bush's chicken on FM78. As we ordered the food and sat down. Got to waiting and started to look around. We noticed the cleanliness of the restaurant. to give you an idea of what we are looking at, the restaurant was filled with flies, mold-like stains on vents, the restroom looks like a truck stop, food boxes on the ground, and their appliances seemed like it hasn't been cleaned the restaurant claims they have 100 on health inspection. I disagree from the moment I stepped into this building. Eat if you must. But I will never eat here again. Oh, in addition, one of the staff has an attitude like. I work for her.....will not name the individual but just the manager needs to set some customer service ground rules.
I only chose 1 star because there was no option to choose zero. Its pretty hard to give a rating when we never even got food. We waited in line over 20 minutes before anyone approached our vehicle and this was because we had to flag her down. Cars that came after us ordered and got their food and left before we were even approached. After placing our order and waiting another 10 minutes, the employee came and told us they didn't have any thighs ready (which is what we ordered) and we would have to wait 15 minutes if we wanted that. We asked for a refund because we like the food but it's not worth a 45 minute wait
Absolutely horrible customer service. Was at the drive thru for over 15 minutes with 3 cars in front that all received their meals and left. 3 different employees delivered the food to the vehicles and not any one of them asked for my order or said they would be right with me. All 3 of them just walked inside and never returned. I drove off after sitting outside as the only car after 15 minutes.
Usually happy with service and food at this location. Today was different. One car being waited on when I arrived. Studied the menu a bit even though I knew what I wanted. Couple minutes passed and no one came to take my order. Several employees milling around the door and even looked out at me. Had been watching the time and was at 6 minutes waiting. Last straw was a third vehicle pulled up in the outer lane. I was more than surprised when a young lady came out and went right to that vehicle. That was my signal to leave. Will not visit again!
Drive thru is hell of a line. 2 people taking order and I'm out here for 20 mins wait and no one is taking my order I told the man that I haven't order yet and 2 people order got their order when I came in first. He said that he's in charge of taking the order on the side lane. And the other lady is the one taking order on the 2nd lane where I'm at. I'm also a server and I have never been this slow to serve and take my customers order. I don't just take order and go inside. I try to take 2 or 3 orders at one time and punch it in. Especially at night everyone wanted to go home and served dinner and get the kids ready for bed. Gizzard been very bland lately.
Went to Bushes Chicken. Asked if they had military discount. They said yes and gave me .10 cents off of $42.19 This is the second time they did this so I know it is not a mistake. Unethical and a very bad business practice! Just say you do not have one if you’re that stingy.
The people working there have no work ethic. The store was a filthy mess, the food was cold. Its mostly teenagers working there with horrible attitudes handling everyone's food, its a recipe for disaster. The tenders I received was extremely cold and dry. Pretty much inedible. They have to shut this place down before someone gets sick and dies from salmonella poisoning.
Arrived at 815pm to sit in line until 844pm with the order never being taken. When I finally drove away at 844pm, went around the other side of the building and lo and behold, there was 5 staff members all outside talking to someone in a car. There was a woman with a birthday money sash on. Happy birthday to you. Please be respectful of your customers if you work on your birthday. Everyone was moving slow, not getting anything done, and then proved to just not care. Don't waste your time.
I wish I could give 0 stars, but anywho, I kid you not, every single time I go to this location, my order is wrong. It just so happens that this location is the only one in my area, and I was craving it today on my way back from Austin. It just sucks to pay almost $15 for a meal, AND generously tip the carhop, for the order to be the opposite of what I asked for. Do better, and PAY ATTENTION!
Horrible customer service. They forgot items that I ordered and the general manager Hector willingly said that he forgot to put it with the order, but wasn’t willing to compensate for me having to go back to the store and waste my gas and time the next day. This location definitely needs better management and training. We will not be returning back to this location and definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!!!
I ordered through Uber eats this evening. The food came in a timely manner. However the chicken was undercooked! I called to inform the manager who tried to tell me the marinade made the chicken looked pink. I explained the chicken was not cooked, it was rubbery still! He didn’t offer to fix the problem just for me to go through the app for help. That’s horrible service! You served undercooked food!
Wasted for 15 minutes to even be acknowledged. Asked for a special that was advertised on the marquee and the carhop proceeded to go ask her GM if they still had it and she said that they did. She came out, took my order, took my card inside without giving me a total and then proceeded to come out and say that they are not offering the special. A waste of time, but they’ll never see any more of my money
Order accuracy. We spent over $40 on our meal, and we were missing parts of it. When we called, we were asked how it could be rectified. They said they could reimburse me for the missing portions and it would take 3-5 business days. My wife was pissed and my son and I had to deal with that all night. Won't be back. Very upset. You figure for over $40, you'd get the order right.
So went through the drive through and Michael took care of me. When i got hole noticed that my order was missing the drinks. Shrugged it off. Opened the bag and the order was not mine. Called the number on google. And it connected me to Julie. She was amazing asked if i needed to bring the food back to show her it was wrong. She said no need we would just throw it away. She was dropping fresh good and i let her know i was on my way. Got there and let the you g lacy that approved that i was there for the mix up order she went in. Michael came out rude as all outdoors. Said where is the food. I let him know what Julie said. Mine you he placed my order and brought me the wrong order. He said we cant help you till you bring back the food. Then gets disrespectful when i asked for a manager and he said i am the manager. So the receipt connected to the bag i called and got Hector who was even more disrespectful when he over talked me the entire conversation but got offended when i let him know that it takes one ounce of management skills to actively listen and not over talk the customer. I asked for his managers information and he refused. Called locations and got back to Julie. Let her know what happened. Found put that hector lied his Area managers name is Ken. So i will be letting Ken know who he has in place need to be reevaluated once i disclose the comments that Michael and Hector vocalized to me that i will not include in this review. But in a nutshell they mess up and you get disrespected in the process. Oh and hector told me i need to include in the review that after asking for my money-back that i got it.
Had waited for 40 minutes to finally order after getting skipped twice. Was missing gravy, had a chicken strip that was literally as hard as a rock. The manager just told me that he could only replace one of the meals and was rude about the whole situation and still wanted to charge me for the gravy that i never got.
This place cracked me up today. I will never bother with Bush's again. Went through the drivethrough today. It was empty so I didn't drive around the building. When the guy came out he said I had to drive around the building before he would take my order. I asked if he was serious he said yes so I said see ya. Thanks for the amazing mexican food I had for lunch.
This has got to be the most incompetent staff I've ever experienced. Walked in and was greeted by a guy in a tank top at the register. Thought it was a sweater at first with all the hair. Luckily, he walks off and we get ignored by the 4 ppl walking around doing nothing. After a few minutes of patience, a guy finally asks me what I want in a rush. Takes my order quickly mashing buttons and walks off again. Watching him walk around and not picking my order from the mountain of food in front of him was aggravating. Then he presents me with meals lacking fries, bread and the correct dipping sauce. Having approached this guy for the third time, I decided the people should know about my experience in case they expect to have a problem free meal with their kids.
This location is AWFUL as a whole, I have a ton of notes but I’ll spare you, and recommend the one on Walzem. Better staff, better quality, just better! Unfortunately, Google requires I leave at least one star, so have your participation trophy
Went thru the drive through and was in the far outside lane. We sat there for a good 5 minutes waiting for them to take our order. Finally, the manager came over to tell us to get out of the third lane and move to the other lanes as she didnt have staff enough to take our order. First off, this was rude as hell. Secondly, CLOSE THE DAMN LANE IF YOU CANNOT TAKE ORDERS DUE TO STAFF ISSUES. And finally, dont waste our time letting us sit there like idiots if you have no intention of serving us and then getting snappy with us, the customer, for not knowing it was closed. See #2 above.
Waiting time is horrible at this location…. I arrived at 3:23 to pick up a delivery order. I did not leave there till after 4:10pm because they gave the order away four times….as I sat there and waited and watched at least 10 people get their orders and each order that was sent out they kept apologizing and saying they gave the order away…The atmosphere became very negative when Serenity came into work…I did not see her wash her hands. She kept touching her face, her hair and her Apple Watch talking with a nasty attitude about non work related issues …Dana told her several times that she couldn’t hear her and kept trying to give her orders…There was a gentleman in the back was the only cook was trying to do the best that he could while receiving orders continuously from Dana… there was one more lady that was there working the parking lot, trying to explain things, but was overlooked at times because of the unprofessionalism that was going on inside… about three other employees came in around 4 o’clock to clock in, but they still couldnt get it together. The order that was placed via dash… I waited patiently because the person that placed the order did not wanna cancel but the customer service was very poor… Serenity needs to wash her hands or wear gloves, please tie that ponytail up (stop touching hair between fixing food or taking orders with no gloves on) because that is cross-contamination love…she asked me questions about my order over and over like what did I order? What did I have? I had explained it 3times and after the 3rd time I stopped repeating myself and talked to Dana. Dana and her would go back and forth about the wrong order while other customers waited for their orders to be taken by Serenity…Why did I need to keep repeating myself when it was a dash that was placed online order? I waited 45 minutes for an order because they kept giving the order out… Serenity was very rude to me, while other customers watched on
I stay up the street and I keep telling myself I will not be back. But it’s convenient and every time I come I regret it! They never had the chicken ready and I always have to wait 15 to 30 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous no one ever comes out to apologize for the extreme wait. I appreciate fresh chicken but this should not happen every time I come. They need new management!
I just pulled out of the drive through after sitting there waiting to be helped for 20 min at 2:30 in the afternoon when the person on duty for the drive through looked me straight in the eyes and then went back inside and did not come out again to take my order. I guess Bush's chicken is making to much money and didn't need my order... Or maybe they need to find an employee that actually would like to work.
We ordered a family meal of chicken strips, but they forgot to give us our sides and rolls. When we went back to the counter, the manager had a terrible attitude and still got our sides order wrong. He didn't even try to make it better and said he wasn't going to help us. I believe the manager's name was Hector
I have given this location a lot of chances but on more than 4 occasions my order is missing something. Today I ordered Uber eats from this location and more than half of my order was not received. 3 items out of 5 were not in the order. When picking up I always double check because they almost always forget the rolls. Just go to the Walzem location.
I wish I'd have read the reviews prior to ordering. First off, the cook was cooking without a hair net or ball cap. Then, he had a sweat rag on the counter next to him which he used and handled while cooking. Then I watched the counter person drop ketchup packets on the dirty floor and put them back in the box under the counter where they were stored. Then, after standing in a 3 person line for 15 minutes, the guy wearing a general manager shirt came out of the office and without a hairnet or washing his hands, started serving meals. All that on top of a dirty store, and a team dumping stuff into the floor drains. I threw my meal away and will NEVER come back to this location. It's a shame because I eat Bushs chicken every week at the bitters rd. location without ANY issues
Went to Bush's to get some of their fresh chicken and buns. This time I got dried out chicken that had been sitting for a while. They gave me 3 thighs instead of two thighs and two breasts. Gave me 4 wings instead of three wings and 3 drumsticks. They also forgot my gravy for my mash potatoes. Will not go back ever. You might want to set some timers on your chicken. It’s not good forever.
The customer service was awful by the skinny girl this morning. No direct conversation. Took her time fixing order. Issue with beverage machine. Never communicated with me to see if I wanted to wait or wanted something else. Elderly gentleman got the same lack of customer service from the black guy that fixed his tea. Never confirmed order or told him the price of his order. When the gentleman ask was he making his tea correct. Worker gave attitude.
Everyone at this location is trash and act like you owe them something like dude just put the chicken in the bag 👎🏽 I suggest going to a different location unless you want employees to give you eye rolls while they take your order like you’re bothering them or something. 🤷🏽♂️
My wife and I Love Bush's Chicken, however our experience at this location left us very underwhelmed. When we arrived here there was maybe 6 cars in front of us. No problem we understand these places get busy and the line cleared up within 10 minutes or so. However, after taking our order of two buffalo rolls meals and okra, my wife and I waited nearly 30 min in our vehicle for our food even though we were the only vehicle left. No joke two employees were on the inside on their phones sitting down, maybe on break . What made the experience even worse was that our food was COLD. We live just 4 minutes from this location and everything was literally cold. We were so mad bcuz our meal came out to over 30 dollars. Frustrating from a restaurant we love so much 👎 for this location .
The restaurant is filthy inside! Absolutely filthy! There were 8 people working and the person at the front walked past me 10 times before he decided to take my order. Then he made the drink first for the lady behind me who ordered after me bc he was so busy on the phone. We eat bush’s every Tues but never this location and I will not return and will make sure to let people know this location is horrible. Also- the food and condiments in the fridge by entrance was disgustingly filthy as well. I canceled my order and left. I do not recommend this location to anyone and hopefully CORPORATE will visit this location soon bc it’s a mess!
The manager should pay more attention to what he is doing instead of talking to the employees, he gave me a wrong order and telling him that it was a big order he told me is this the order. I can't see what's inside or open it, and Uber customers also rate us for taking the order wrong. If you don't know how to do your job, you don't have to be there
At 9:16 p.m., the doors were closed, and manager declined to prepare additional chicken. Existing chicken that had been cooked earlier continued to be sold.
Horrible! I asked to wait for fresh chicken since they only had three pieces that apparently been sitting there and nothing else was available. This MANAGER proceeded to give me the old chicken anyway. When I restated that I wait for the fresh, which took 20min...out comes my two pieces of chicken tasting like burnt grease hard and inedible. Not to mention he and his crew kept coming to the front counter saying " fresh how i like it" and laughing..Never again...sad and disappointing.
Very High prices and the food wasn't fresh. I was to far from home to bring it back.
Entire place is absolutely disgusting. Floors. Walls. Tables. And I've seen cleaner portable potties than what they let their staff and customers use here. Really makes you rethink the food handling here when they cant even run a clean establishment.
9:50 pm and there lobby was closed already. There was a women employee (with glasses) outside on her phone . As soon as I got off she immediately ran inside and i assume locked the lobby because when i went to the door it was locked . There was a dude inside mopping and signed to me to go around to the drive thru. So I did where there was about 5 cars waiting. After all the cars were helped the same lady on her phone with he glasses comes to my car and says they are already closed . 😑 I tell her that she saw me when I was in the front and I had been waiting here when the lobby was closed and that I wasn't even here to buy food . I was here to just pick up a order .
The manager, Hispanic man is super stressed out. A good leader knows how to handle the smallest of conflict. Look at his establishment, you can see he is struggling.
Tea had globs of white and brown stuff floating in side. Bought a gallon yesterday and noticed today that the whole bottle had debris. I drink lots of tea both home made and store bought. Tea leaf particles is one thing. This is not that. My family drank almost a 1/2 a gallon of this tea before we found out.
I went in after work to buy chicken and I specified I wanted a two piece with two breast and then an order of livers and gizzards. I waited for over 30 minutes while the chicken was cooking and when the chicken finally came up, the manager informed the girl that was waiting on me that there were no chicken breast at all in fact, they were almost out of chicken. This upset me, I wasted my time waiting. This could’ve been told to me when I placed my order and the manager really didn’t seem to care. I ended up having to take something else in place of what I wanted and was very disappointed and every time I go into this particular bushes restaurant I end up waiting for them to cook chicken and I always end up waiting 20 to 30 minutes. I don’t understand this haven’t been back since I even called their home office spoke to someone and the lady told me someone would be contacting me and no one ever has not good customer service.
I loved fried Chicken, and Bush's Chicken for awhile was one of my places to visit around the San Antonio area. I used to frequent another one across the city, and my thoughts around it always revolved around, that it wasn't the best chicken, but the value was good. I cannot even come close to saying that it's true for this location after moving to Converse and frequenting this location for a few months. The tenders are always positively tiny, they almost never add extra tenders, and they are pretty skimpy with the fries in general. At 12 dollars for a 4 tender combo, it's pretty terrible value with how little I'm getting, to the point when I get handed the bag I can tell just how little is contained within the box. I will not be visiting this location again unless something changes. Either recognize that your tenders are tiny and add extra per box, or fix your tenders size, or lower your prices. Seriously I can get bigger tenders from a value bag at Walmart which is frankly pathetic.
RIDICULOUS!!!! I drive up and there was NOBODY in the drive up I mean NOBODY not one car or person and I drove in and did not go around the whole building and I was told before I could be served I need to go around the building as it was a hazard. First of all if it was hazardous why aren’t there any signs. The only hazard was me trying to spend my money at this place that had already bad reviews. Please look up the word Hazard to fully understand what type of risk is involved… Like come on y’all sell overpriced chicken nuggets … That’s the true hazard!!!!!
Never been to this location and will never go back to it either. Ordered the Tenders on Tender Tuesday, livers, extra order of rolls and 2 teas. The extra rolls were still raw so I had to finish baking them. The tenders were so small and dry because of their size. I called and spoke to the manager (Hector). He was nooo help. He said he knew the tenders were small and for a 16 piece they add 2 extra and that he would check his oven to make sure it was working properly. I know Bush's doesn't care about their customers and the review score of 3.7 proves it. But, save your money. I will never go back.
I ordered a family corn nugget, 6 piece tenders meal with mashed potatoes. The corn nuggets weren't family sized, the mashed potatoes looked like they are expired, and grey. The gravy is watered down. Then I opened the chicken tenders and they are thin and tiny pieces/slivers. Very disappointed. I would like to speak with someone in management. Otherwise customer service was fine.
