I’m from San Antonio, so I’m pretty picky with my taco spots, but La Ventana surpasses all expectations. Staff was very friendly, margaritas (get the pineapple habanero), and food (tacos, queso, salsa, elote, and tostadas) was fantastic!! Highly recommend & for sure will be visiting again!

Loved the atmosphere and fast service at Taqueria La Ventana in Addison. The beef, chicken, and shrimp tacos are all flavorful and made with fresh tortillas. The chicken quesadilla was cheesy and satisfying, and the nachos & salsa were a great match. Casual, colorful spot with patio seating and a fun vibe. Highly recommend for authentic street tacos in a lively setting.

Love this place. I have been coming here for over 10 years. The tacos are amazing. Chips and queso are great. The beer is cold and the salsa is hot. Always a great recommendation for anybody.

This spot is an absolute vibe! As soon as you approach, you feel like you're in Mexico, from the entrance, the music, the staff, and the atmosphere! I loved every moment being here. Thursdays they offer $3.75 beers and margaritas! Tacos are under three bucks each, what a deal! Staff is super friendly and helped us order what's popular, highly recommend!

Fun open, inviting , funky, fast, casual Taqueria, with authentic Mexico City St. food. The menu has fresh flavor, tacos, burritos, bowls, and salads. The tortillas are fresh made. For this visit, I got the seasonal soup which consisted of pulled chicken and hominy. The brisket taco was satisfying, albeit a little light on the portion. Overall extraordinary experience great food and robust flavors. They have a unique way of calling your order for pick up. The cashier will give you the name that they will call for you to pick up your order, and won’t be your name! Make this a stop when you are in Addison.

This place was so much fun! We came right around happy hour and got some of the specials. The food was so good! I’m from California and haven’t been a huge fan of Tex Mex, but this place has very authentic Mexican street fair and really reminded me of home! The dip trio was so good, our favorites were the lengua and the pastor, and the prices are are so affordable. We got some beers for a good price and their mango chamoy margarita was really good. In terms of service, they were so sweet and personable, however there were just some things forgotten. I feel like everyone should get silverware no matter what they ordered, just cause you don’t know what weird reason they might want it. Our bartender disappeared after dropping our food, so I had to spread guac on my taco with a bar straw, and we were going to share one of the tacos but didn’t have a knife so we couldn’t. They also forgot our waters we asked for so we didn’t have water with out meals. Over all not huge complaints because, as I said, they were so so so nice and we got our service with a smile! Just thought this stuff could be passed on for future service. Will definitely be back!

Our first visit here and had to wait an extensive amount of time to order. You stand at the counter to order, then sit with a number and wait for your food. The atmosphere is lively with a street vibe - very cool. We had tacos, elotes and a quesadilla. The meat was good, the tortillas dry. The elotes (corn) was tasty but not authentic and plump. While the food was good, there are many other authentic Mexican food in the area worthy of trying.

A solid simple, fast taco stop. Super friendly service and fun, lively atmosphere. The food was just fine, but nothing crazy special. The bowl is much better value than the tacos due to the tacos being absolutely tiny. The bowl is a bit bland though. Plain black beans. Plain white rice. And not enough tomatoes/lettuce to makeup for the lack of flavor. They do have sauces they bring out that help. The queso is very watery as well. But the service was fast and it was a decent place!

So, this is what spending 50 bucks at your establishment gets you these days. Several years ago, the food and the service was 5 star. The past couple of years the quality of the food and the quality of the service have gone down steadily. Outside of Danni, the rest of your staff at the bar act like they don't want to be bothered half the time when they are working. We ordered nachos tonight. The food came out pretty fast. But it was cold and bland. Your pineapple margaritas and draft beer were the only saving grace of the visit. The fact you show you are supposed to be open till midnight tonight and your staff was already setting the patio chairs over and the rest of the bar area like it was closing time shows how your staff doesn't care if people come after 8pm. Find some people who want to work in your kitchen and your bar before you are turning off the lights for good. We used to love coming there at least 3 times a week. Now we may come once every 6 months.

This food sucks. I had the pastor tacos, shrimp tacos, pastor burrito and margarita. Shrimp tacos were absolute trash and no flavor. The burrito was something that would come out of Taco Bell but not as good as Taco Bell. The pastor tacos were just “ok” To be honest the best thing I had was the margarita and that wasn’t that great either. Overall I will never come back here ever again. Waste of my money and time. If you like half ass made food at a cheaper price this is your place.

Staff was friendly and place was clean with plenty of seating. Friends and I used to visit often in the past. Was one of my favorites. Decided to visit again this week and to my disappointment the meat was dry, cold and tasteless. Not just my food but everyone else's food seemed to be disappointing as well. Tortillas were even cold and brittle. Before, their tacos used to have this great, authentic street taco smell but not anymore. And if there are people who do like the way they taste, they have never had a real street taco before. However I will say the queso dip and margaritas were the best tasting items. It's also very annoying to constantly hear names being called over a speaker when the food is ready. Might as well not play any music at all since you'll never hear it.
