I found out about oka through a friend and I can say it is friendly, spacious, and clean. The waitress greeted us with a smile and started us off with drinks and gave us time to think as we were new to this restaurant. I got the sunrise roll, my two friends got the butterfly roll and the shrimp chow mei fun. All three dishes displayed creativity on their own level and they all tasted very good. Photos included and we will definitely return 🐱

Nice family owned place, I got the tonkatsu ramen. They packaged the broth separate since I got it to go, which is so appreciated. The portion size was more than enough for me. The food tastes like its made with fresh ingredients, and the woman who was running the restaurant when I came in was warm and kind. I will definitely be trying more dishes on my next trip to New York. Highly recommend.

This is truly one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. My only complaint is that I don't live closer 😂 Staff is amazing and always treats my family well. Everything we've tried here so far has been delicious. Sushi is fresh. Ramen is rich and creamy. Just a dream!

This isn't just my favorite restaurant in Corning, I think this is also my favorite Asian restaurant in all of New York state! I really want to come back here if I'm ever nearby again. I was staying at Corning for a few days with family, and in the evenings we'd like to go for food. We tried different food places but none of us all together seemed to find something we all liked, until we found Oka Asian Food. The menu is very big, spanning tons of different options, from sushi to sweet and sour chicken. I had a hard time choosing because so many of the options sounded very appetizing! I ended up getting salmon rolls, my wife got sweet and sour chicken, and the rest of my family got different things like bento boxes, salmon terriyaki, ramen, etc.. All of us seemed to really enjoy our food, and I know I definitely did! The fish tasted very fresh, the rice was tasty, and the rolls felt perfect. The staff was also very nice and friendly! I consider myself to be very picky with sushi/Asian food in general, so trust me when I say this place is super tasty and probably the best restaurant on the whole street! Definitely stop by here if you're hungry :)

Phenomenal food quality and menu items. We have mostly gotten the specialty rolls and noodle dishes...we go down the list and try 4 rolls everytime. So far they have all been amazing! A few are very unique!

📍New Find in Corning, NY: Oka Asian Food 🍱✨ Corning just got a little tastier! I had the pleasure of dining at Oka Asian Food, a brand-new spot that just opened its doors—and let me tell you, this place has serious potential. I went for dinner and tried two standout dishes: the Beef Negimaki and the Fish Katsu Bento Box, and both delivered in flavor and presentation. The Beef Negimaki (📸 first photo) was rich and savory—thinly sliced beef wrapped around fresh scallions, drizzled with a sweet soy glaze and sprinkled with sesame seeds. It was tender, flavorful, and beautifully plated with delicate onion curls that added a crisp contrast. Then came the Fish Katsu Bento Box (📸 second photo), a generous and well-balanced meal with crispy breaded fish fillets, fresh orange slices, perfectly rolled California sushi, spring rolls, and fluffy white rice. Everything had that freshly-made taste and comforting home-style vibe, while still being thoughtfully presented. The restaurant is still new, so it’s finding its rhythm, but based on this first experience, I truly hope Oka Asian Food thrives. It brings a welcome variety to the local dining scene, and I’m excited to return and explore more of the menu. If you’re in or around Corning, give them a try and support this local gem! 💯🍽️

Heard about this place to get good sushi so had to.come check it out and it did not disappoint. Was some of the best sushi I've had. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back for more!! Excellent food! Kids really enjoyed a bento box and sushi; adults had sesame chicken and massaman curry. Both flavorful and good sized portions. Service was speedy and everyone was very nice. Before going in, a gentleman leaving with takeout told us we wouldn't be disappointed, and he was right!

The staff and food were amazing. The menu has some of everything you'd be looking for. The flavors were good and the food presentation was out of this world. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable with questions about the menu. We will easily be coming back again! Loved it here

Unreal food from all over Asia. I had a hot & sour soup then a spicy tofu green curry. She had Thai Ginger Chicken Bento box. Both were fantastic.

Very friendly, their sushi was really good, especially their salmon. Very fresh. I got their Thai tea as well, can't go wrong with that. Pretty good prices too.

I was out and about so I placed an order online to pick up and take home for the family. The ordering process was quick and easy and the food was ready by the time I got there. The staff was friendly and welcoming when I walked in and not only was it still hot when we got home (Hammondsport) but everything we ordered was delicious! We will definitely be back again and will recommend to others as well.

The food was so good! My fiance and I both got the hibachi filet mignon. He was able to eat everything, where as I could not because of how full I was from everything. If you haven't tried their food yet, its definitely worth coming to check it out.

I came into town to visit the local glass museum. Afterwards I decided to get food from this restaurant. I placed an order over the phone and picked it up. The packaging, amazing. The food, amazing. The atmosphere, amazing. I am glad I decided to come here and I would be happy to come back and support this sweet family.

Overall, good. Nothing phenomenal, but good. We will come back try other things. The ramen was pretty good. The pork in the ramen was delicious. The sushi was really good.

The food it's self is pretty good. Thing I don't like is the atmosphere. The lighting is pretty bad. Very open and the lighting doesn't create a comfortable atmosphere. Besides that pretty good!

The lunch special is a decent deal, though it only includes soup or salad (not both), and the rolls come with six pieces instead of the eight you often see elsewhere. The hot sake was a bit lukewarm. The sushi itself was good, just nothing particularly memorable. That said, the service was nice and the ambiance was pleasant. A solid option if you’re nearby.

The Tom yum noodle soup had nothing to do with Asian cuisine, if it was my first time trying tom yum, I'd never have it again. The sesame chicken was very bad. I also had the Corning roll - it was OK, but based on all the great reviews I'd expect more. Overall, I know it might be just my one experience, but I wouldn't have any motivation to try again. The staff was nice and friendly though! Good luck guys, hope it was just one time thing.
