I was there Saturday first thing I noticed was that it spelled pleasant also very clean... your are greeted with a nice big smile customer service was very outstanding food was very delicious juicy and flavorful and golden brown... I got some of their sauce and garvy and it was amazing... I would highly recommend stopping by and checking them out...

Had lunch there. Got a 2 piece with fries. Food was very good & didn't wait long for my meal. Great staff there. Pete's is always one of my favorites to visit for lunch.

My only complaints are that they only have one size in the fried mushrooms and fried pickles and that fries can only be substituted if you order the meal with the drink. Otherwise, it was great! The chicken tasted just like Church's tasted back in the 80's. I will definitely go back!

So far it's the Best Place,I've found that has Livers and Gizzards at a Great Price it comes with ur choice of White or Brown Gravy and a Biscuit. You can also get a half and half order. Their Chicken is Great at Great Prices.

Dee-licious, lip-smacking, yummy good, no, make that GREAT! The chicken is fried to perfection, and the fries were amazing - crispy on the outside and creamy potato on the inside, not like those skinny overcooked fries at other places. Additional plus: the people that serve you are friendly, efficient and pleasant. But definitely go for the FOOD!

We order at the drive up window. Had to repeat our order 3 times. It was all in vain as our order was still wrong. We didn't want green beens.but got them anyway. Went back in to take them back, asked for Mac and cheese was given mashed potatoes. Went back in for the 3rd time, finally got Mac and cheese. Very very bad service 🙄

I went to Pete’s on Port today for a very late dinner. I went through the drive thru cause I was in a rush to just get home. The girl (Rosa E on receipt) taking my order was so nice. She seemed so cheery and patient. It was late in the evening and I’ll be honest you don’t get that kind of service everywhere especially when it’s later in the day. She really went out of her way to make it a good experience just by being nice not even knowing it was a long day for me. I would definitely recommend Pete’s on Port. The food is always good and I hope you have a great experience just like me!

I tried the chicken fried chicken with yellow gravy, mashed potatoes, n onion rings, everything on my plate was delicious, i recommend stopping by and give it a try.

Highly Improved in the years! Still the staple of the city I remember as a young kid, same taste I loved getting from the Agnes location. Staff is friendly, food is always great, sometimes you gotta wait but it’s always worth it. Will continue to give this place my business until I’m gone, much obliged.

I have never been to Pete's Chicken n more, I was honestly not expecting much. BUT I'm extremely satisfied with the food and service. The wonderful lady at the front counter was extremely friendly and super helpful, food was amazing and fresh, the wait time was very short and inside of the restaurant was clean. Overall I'd gladly say that I will be returning in the near future.

I got a four piece tender, the remarkable thing, was the fact I had somewhat leftovers! This just doesn't happen. The tenders were cooked perfectly. I highly recommend this place, Fried chicken is the only food that lends itself to the subtle presence or absence of seasoning.

This was actually my first time ever visiting Pete's Chicken. It was on my way to work and I was limited on my commute time and other than Chicken Express, the only place that has Chicken gizzards that I know of. I used the drive through, and for some reason I was suddenly stripped of the ability to accurately use language skills. Instead of being annoyed, Rose (I assume because her name was on my ticket) was incredibly kind and listed the side items they had available. I really was taken back by how nice and thoughtful she was even at the drive in window. She was delightful and her cheerfulness helped my positive mood going to work. I actually really liked the two lane system they had after the drive in window and the food came very quickly. What really solidified liking this place was the gizzards were even better than Chicken Express. I made the mistake of getting a roll instead of a biscuit. But the fried pickles were really good. There were so many I had to share. Looks like there's several things on the menu to try so I'll be back!

I haven't tried much on the menu except for the chicken fried chicken, and sometimes the chicken tenders. That along with their mashed potatoes and fried okra has kept me stopping by when I'm in the area for many years. They have a small dining area and drive through service that I've never had any problems with.

Visiting from the Austin area, and saw Pete's chicken-N-More on my google search, and decided to give it a try. Well, I was not disappointed I'm my choice. Kids loved their chicken tenders, I loved the burger, but my wife thought the chicken livers we a little over cooked(, which is the only reason for not giving the 5th star. Other than the livers the place is great, and we'll make sure to stop by Pete's the next time we're in town.

There chicken tenders where. Delicious. The only thing i was kind of Disappointed was the girl told us that once we got to the window. So my wife asked for a Sweet Tea. Since we had to wait. But she charged us $2.07. Next time we will go to Church's Fried Chicken instead of pete's.

The food was really good and fresh, the place looked clean. The only problem was our cashier. Our receipt said Lauree, and Lauree must've been having a rough day cause dang! Her attitude alone made me lose my appetite, she's too salty for my taste 🤢 very unpleasant to deal with.

Been wanting something local, found Pete's. Fried chicken, why not. Only 3.6 miles from Shoreline. Got there just as fresh chicken was being pulled outta the fryer. HOLY JEEZ!! Got 16 piece w/corn and fries. Bread rolls was already in the box, Damnnnnm. Just what I needed. Plenty for later and to share. I will be back! (Window cashier was a cutie by the way!😉)

Usually great, except the wait time. Occasionally gets my order wrong. (For example, we got the Meal Deal and on the bone-in chicken I had asked for 3 legs, 3 wings, and 2 breast. No thighs... I checked when we got back home and recieved 5 thighs, a wing, and 2 legs. They weren't even busy this day. They just didn't pay attention to my order.)

They really need to get away from frozen pre- breaded fish and shrimp. It tasted old and being in Corpus Christi, everyone expects fresh fish and shrimp. The chicken is great and fresh breaded but you cannot fool people with the frozen seafood. I rated you a 3

Called to make a phone order today and the lady was very rude. She gave me attitude and such. I didn't know if you can phone order or not anymore, but I wasn't paying for delivery. So I honestly don't know why she was very unprofessional. The food was very crusty and not enough food.

I'm right in the middle with this place. The chicken is tasty and so are the sides, but how are they always out of chicken or their popular sides? Seems like it's always one think or the other that creates a 30 minute wait. Sure you get fresh food, but find a way to stay ahead of the business. It's not gonna be a deal breaker for me, but please get it together.

I used to go to Pete's Chicken when they first opened up in Corpus because they had a cheap hamburger that tasted just like Whataburger but now they might be more expensive. The chicken was too greasy

As someone who comes here often I’ve never had a problem with service. Food is always delicious, service is good and speed of service is consistent with the time of day. But today was just an anomaly or something. The lady working the window was just really rude! From beginning to end. Now when I called them to let them know they made a mistake on my order, they immediately went into defense mode. They were really calm on the phone but when I arrived in person!!! Jesus!! They had the cook come out first, he rudely took my item back, I tried to explain what was wrong and he just cut me off and closed the window. ( keep in mind he had his gloves on the whole time touching the window and surrounding drive threw surfaces) then the drive threw lady came back to the windows with a very condescending attitude and was telling me I need to made certain adjustments to my order to prevent this mistake. My response was that I order this all the time, I literally been ordering the same thing for years. Today the cook might have been a little heavy handed with the seasoning today. It’s ok! She wasn’t having it closed the window on me again. Now the cook come back with (with gloves on again ) and hands me the food with out comment and closed the window. Like come on now y’all can’t be that defensive. This is not how I want to start my week off!

The food is okay. We got tenders, regular chicken, and a burger. It was all decent. I enjoyed the mashed potatoes with yellow gravy the most. The service wasn't all that great but they didn't take too long considering the line.

Wanted non greasy chicken, this was NOT the place for that. Fries, coleslaw, and rolls were good. Taste of chicken was good. Because of the greasiness the crust just fell off most of the chicken in the box. Very busy evening, they handled the waiting line good.

The food is good, but their staff, specifically Tammy is rude and not a people person. I called in an order, she was irritated the minute I said, it was a to go order. Arrived at the facility to get my order and she was operating the window when I told her that my order was wrong she got all huffy puffy, handed me my correct order then shut the window with such force. This was my second time ever having Pete’s Chicken and it will be my last. Management needs to coach their staff on friendly customer service. My coworkers all said the same thing, Tammy is always like this to people.

I like to come here for the chicken fried chicken because it's awesome but on this particular visit I was very let down. My grilled chicken sandwich was soggy, small, had no pickles which I would assume every burger comes with, we waited long while everybody was ushered through quickly and were told to park on the side while they prepared our order. Not too pleased with this visit but I gave 3 stars because the seasoned fries were good and the sweet tea was perfect. Work on the drive thru experience is needed.

They need to get better warmers or something. The chicken is always cold everytime they give me my order when I dine in. I didn't say anything the last few times, but this time I did. I like my chicken hot. Today they gave me the hot chicken, but the color of the breading was burned. The food is good, but I wish the chicken was hot and not burned. A lot of chicken places are hot and not burned like Good n Crisp, Chicken Express, and Churches. Those places always give me hot and not burned chicken. They need better warmers to keep the chicken hot.

The experience was pretty good. My family and I waited almost 20 minutes for our order and the place wasn't even busy. When the food came out the chicken was warm, not fresh hot as well as the mash potatoes and gravy. There was about 2-3 soda choices that were not good. The entire time the AC was blowing full blast and multiple people stated that it was freezing cold in there. This is crazy because this place has always had really good service.

Service was good. The girl at the register was very nice. We had not had Pete's Chicken in some time so we decided to get some. Chicken was very good. The mashed potatoes and gravy were not that tasty. The Cole slaw was sour.

My family and I have loved Pete's for years, they have the best chicken livers hands down. Unfortunately the employees have forgotten that's it's a hospitality service they provide. The extreme and utter rudeness when ordering is definitely uncalled for, as I always try to be kind and respectful. They acted like I was asking for a handout and not about to pay good money for my order. Lost my appetite.

They cook A LOT OF CHICKEN ahead of time. We got tenders and pieces. Tenders were about the worse I've ever had. The pieces were not fresh but flavorful. If the pieces had been freshly cooked they may have been really good. Fries were good but average.

Took 20 minutes to get my order. No one mentioned why but 4 employees were having fun laughing and cutting up while we all waited. Place was dirty. Won't go back. Bill Miller and Popeyes are much better.

Hello was in there today. Worker by the name of Nikki helped me out. N I’m proud to say she gave excellent service. Always smiling being helpful n making sure I had all I needed n food was fresh. I have stressed my concern several times . The regular sized burger basket has come with a child size beef patty. It’s a shame how things like this do not get resolved. I really enjoy their food but the quality is getting bad . I am not getting what I paid for.

I placed an order and waited an extremely long time for them to bring it out. The burgers were pretty awful all around and the chicken didn't have a lot of flavor. As far as the mashed potato bowl, the corn was mushy and ruined the entire dish. It was definitely nowhere near fresh. For the price, I definitely would not return. This was pretty disappointing. The sixty bucks could have been well spent elsewhere.

Last time I ordered for the whole family they said they were making fresh chicken. When we got it it was not fresh it looks like it was left in the heat warmer for a long time. The kids didn't eat it. I tried again a week later the same thing. People there the people in the window always moody like bothered. Today I try to phone order and was told I had to pay by credit card I said fine, was going to try something different tenders for everyone. He said hold on left me on hold. So I just went got church's chicken tenders for the family. Passed by Pete's it was barely anyone no patrons on drive through. It didn't use to be like this. I am usually very positive on leaving good remarks, it's only Pete's I have been having issues. I like their coleslaw. I give up. Trying to keep business with local didn't succeed here.

Worst guest service ever. I am a delivery personal, I arrived went into restaurant and waited for like 5 minutes with no acknowledgement. The manager came to counter and asked if I had been helped, no I answered. I proceeded to tell him the names of the orders and he said they are working on it. I stood aside. There was 4 other people after me that ordered and all got their orders before me. I had been standing and waiting now going on 30 minutes. I asked the manager why is it taking so long if these are orders that are online and already paid for. He proceeded to tell me i can wait or not there is the door. I told him I'm waiting these people I am delivering for are customers too. He again dismissed me and said i didn't have to wait. So I again began stating that these are paying customers. So he in turn said for no one to make the orders he was canceling them. Needless to say I got the orders and delivered with apologies for the wait. You know just because the food is being delivered and you are not directly dealing with tbe paying customer doesn't mean that you can disregard it like it doesn't matter. I as that delivery personnel will advocate for thoses customers. They paid for their food in advance and probably at higher fee for the convenience of online ordering and delivery. We are all involved in making it an fast, easy and pleasant experience.

May I just say that it will be the last time I order or eat your stale cold food. Paid over 27$ for food that was no worth eating. Instead of the customer being inconvenienced having to go back a 2nd time around bc the preparer couldn't get it right the 1st time maybe one of your worker can bring me the correct food and it be hot and not stale/over cooked even. You all want the consumer to pay more because everything is going up but yet the food qua and the service is still a mess. Its a Zero for me. Thanks for nothing Irene

Customer service was lousy! The person working the drive-thru got the order messed up and when the order was handed to me they didn't even give me a straw for my drink, what happened to Pete's chicken? It used to be a great place but now I know why they close two stores!

Waited a long time. Second thru drive thru but last to get food. Ordered 2 chicken tender meals and 1 chicken bites meal w/ side of Mac n chz.. had to get out of car to go in and ask for my Mac n chz in which 1 worker said it's in the box. So i pulled out all 3 boxes, opened them, and again had to ask for my Mac n chz. The worker then began saying, "I know I put it in the box" basically calling me a liar. Then another worker folded up a bag and reached around me to hand to the lady behind me as she remarked, yea this is her French fries is not for you. After several more comments I finally got my Mac n chz which ended up being dry n clumpy. Needless to say, long wait, didn't get all my food, and rude discriminatory remarks from staff... I remember why I stopped going in the first place...

The sign reads “if it’s fast food you are after you are at the wrong place we serve our food to order. I pull up, pay drive away, I go in the bag for a fry and it’s cold. I pick out the drum stick and too cold. Only blocks down from the location. I went back and told the attendant the situation. Reminded her about the sign. She wants to give a refund. I tell her that my mind is set on fried chicken and as a costumer I have a valid reason and would like a hot meal. She calls her manager, I tell him the food is cold. She tell the manager that I had left the store a long time ago (not even 10 min) he looks at the ticket. Goes to get me hotter food. I get the same cold fries, my condiments are gone and gives me the unspecified pieces I asked for. So disappointed at Pete’s chicken. They were one of my favorite places. So check your food before driving off. And remember these days the customer is no body. We use to matter.

Actually, it was pretty sad. We love the chicken sandwich but this time we thought we would try the tenders. Not only were they fairly small but too overcooked. We ordered gizzards also but they gave us a 2 piece dark chicken instead. Of course had to wait longer.

Was visiting the area and looking for a different place for chicken. But just from reading the reviews about employee rudeness and management behavior makes me stay away from this place. Just because your short staffed and employees working hard is no excuse for the behavior! Everyone in food service industry is short staffed, but they still respect the customers. No customers due to rude employees will equal closing the restaurant, no work.

Worst customer service by far. Lady working would not take my call in order because it was past 9pm. Then, I have to wait 20 minutes to get my food. Would never come to this place but the food is that good.

After having, at best, a mediocre exprience and, at worst, not even getting everything i ordered, I have decided I will no longer be returning to this location. I would post receipt but I didnt not receive one with my most recent visit, nor did I receive one when I went in and complained about not getting what I ordered. I was told that I had not ordered the item and asked if I would like to make another order for the item, figuring my food was just going to get cold, I walked out. This is a running issue with this location, this being the 3rd time this has happened. After all that, already angry and frustrated, I get home to find they didnt even give me my dessert.

ordered thru online delivery service. when i call i had a missing item. the person who answered the phone (did not give her) stated the corn on the cob was in the bag she wrapped it herself. then it seemed that she was blaming the online service that maybe the got into the bag. after i looked closer i did find the corn but was missing my okra which i paid for. not asking for it to be free i bought i and did not receive. she seemed to want to be challenging me on what i was missing because she bagged it herself not a good job, missing okra.

I was at petes chicken last night to pick up a door dash order for a customer I was waiting 20 or 30 minutes one of the cashier was nice the other cashier was rude saying tell your driver to move or u don't get my order he was rude to my dad and me he told me to leave and I was supposed to deliver it to a customer and he said he refused to give me the order

Chicken strips tasted fishy. Not fishy in a weird way, but like it was cooked in the grease they cook fish in. Wasn't subtle but overpowered taste. Made me sick cuz I do not like fish. The fries tasted good so did the biscuit and gravy. Threw straps away.

Got 2 liver baskets after waiting 15 minutes to place the order. Another 15 minutes to get to the window to pay. Got our drinks asked to pull around to front of store. Told order would be right out. 10 minutes later my wife exited the vehicle and stepped inside. Order is sitting on the counter. Told my wife they were just about to take it out to the car. My wife reentered our vehicle we had to exit Crosstown frontage ,and then got on to Horne. About 3 to 4 minutes later arrived home. Took the bag inside and the entire order was cold. My wife and I were very disappointed with the service and product given to us. Can't say I will be returning to that location in the future. I didn't know it took 35 to 40 minutes to prepare 2 liver baskets.

Chicken tenders were good, but once again too much batter. Sweet tea was on point but that's about it. Bush's chicken would put this place out of business for sure!!

Usually the service is good and the food is great! But today after we waited in line at the drive thru, we ordered an Express Pack whick is 7 pieces of chicken, fries and rolls. We came home to eat and there was NO FRIES!! So we called them and they said we could go get the fries. We live by Miller HS and they are on Ayers and Horne, we said well we don't want to go all the way back and come home and eat cold chicken! Basically they said, "too bad, all we can do is give you the fries". 😠😠. So very dissatisfied with the customer service! I recommend checking your order before you leave so you don't pay for something you are not going to get!! On a scale from 1-10, today Pete's Chicken-N-More gets a 2!!!!

I went in for a delivery order, approached the girl at the counter. I said to her "I'm here pick up an order for __" she said "for (Insert Name Here)?" I replied yes to which she responded with it will be out in a few minutes. I waited patiently for a while for the 4 items my customer had requested. After a significant amount of time had passed and I had made eye contact with several of the employees I approached the counter again. Asked about my order to which she replied that it had not been entered into the system. I was obviously annoyed with that answer and quickly explained the situation to my customer. I asked the cashier about how much longer it would be and she responded with they're working on it right now. Which is great and all but I have other deliveries to make. Anyway, rant over.

I called to place an order she said hold on . For 9 minutes I heard thing being said. Bro goes to pick up order, I'm still on hold.

The chicken was raw on the inside. It wasn't worth driving all the way back to get chicken replaced. I lost my appetite when I saw the blood inside the piece of chicken. Never again. I hope I don't get sick from the chicken.

If you want to argue over a water cup, by rude cashiers, and food (gizzards) with seasoning so nasty then yeah. I see this place going nowhere in the. Ext few years. It used to be a great spot. But gizzards were chewy and over seasoned to where they almost looked and felt like oysters. Only thing to eat here is the fries which are delicious. Enough said.

Terrible, Terrible service ! 😑 We waited 25 minutes for 2 orders of 2 pieces of dark meat chicken with fries and an order of 4 piece chicken tenders with fries 🍟. While sitting in our car waiting for our order. A tolal of 8 vehicles received their food orders.. We finally had to ask how much longer, and we were told.. it was what we ordered that takes long. She was trying to leave but we told her to look at our receipt. Within minutes, she returned with our oder. Once we arrived home, we found our drinks watered down, and the chicken was dried up and overheated. To sum it up, we received nasty old chicken and watered down sodas. Terrible customer service from a very rude associate. I will never return there, nor will I recommend them to my family and friends 😑

I never had a problem with them until that day Monday August 14th. I went to get dinner for me and my kids. Got home and they forgot the fries. Chicken was over cooked a lot of pieces burnt. I didn't call cause I worked all day and just wanted something my kids love. But they were upset there was no fries and had to give chicken that was burnt to the cats. I'm never going back.

I live in the area and have gone to Pete's for many years and have always been treated with respect by any team member and manager and they always make what is wrong right but today was different the front counter girl was so rude made us hurry and order and then didnt hear my full order and caught attitudewith my husband and myself as she felt we failed to mention i wanted a drink added to my basket order and my husband asking her not to forget he wanted a leg and thigh she says you didnt say that at all and he says yes i did and she started to roll her eyes then when i mentioned did you add my drink she sucked her tongue and handed me a cup all rude ....its not my fault.... she needs to be checked ...golly I just wanted to eat I had a long day at work and I was starving didn't need that attitude 😔

Watched a employee spit in a elderly couples food. When i said something about it the employees got mad running at me telling me to leave. I didnt get a refund. And i wont be back ever.

The place was very cold which made our food cold & unable to eat . The French fries we're very overly salted & my cheese burger was drenched in mayo & mustard it was seeping out thru the sides which made the bread very soggy . I will NEVER come back to this place . Place was dirty. Cashier was rude as hell! My mom asked if they had a two pc fish she said no a three my mom said ok I'd like that does it come with a coke? Cashier said no it's not in the pic just whatever is in the pic. She didn't ask to add a drink just said what else. The yellow gravy for the livers was watery and super salty. And while we were there we heard the cashier tell the manager like 5 times noone ever stocks up it's always me! Damn girl suck it up that's what you get paid for! The tables only fits two people!

Last time ordering from Pete's!! Gave us old burnt super super greasy chicken!! It was horrible!! And yes I know it's fried but this was drowning in grease, call them to tell them that we got old chicken and of course they say,we just made it ! That's a bunch of BS!! Never again! And we didn't even eat it it was a waste of our money, 👎

Very upset with my visit for lunch last Friday! I was looking for a quick bite and stopped here for a chicken lunch but disappointed as the chicken was so old and dry! Needless to say I worked thru lunch hungry!!
