I came here out of pure luck! Visiting for the week. Mike was our server, very outgoing, nice and full of energy. We had the Baja Tacos...so Delicious! The atmosphere was very laid back beach vibe, exactly what we were looking for. Came back the next day to make sure it was not a fluke, best decision. More people were there to accentuate the atmosphere and vibe. Anytime I visit the area I will come to this secret gem of a spot. Thank you for making my week!! *Edit: Stopped in one last time before I left, once again did not disappoint. This time for breakfast, the BLT Extra was phenomenal! Coffee was great tasting and exactly what needed to start the day. Thank you again!!

We made a to-go order because we were at the beach and planned to eat on the beach. Im upset because I ordered the chicken pineapple teriyaki sandwich and now I know no other sandwich will ever compare to it! I devoured that sandwich so quickly!!! My husband got the Philly cheese steak, and he said it was delicious, as well. It was our 1st time getting food there but won't be our last!

Love this little sandwich shop. The food was really good, has great authentic atmosphere. We were impressed with the amount of food we got for the price for family of 4. We thought the pulled pork with pickled onions sliders for $4 on happy hour menu, was an amazing value. This not your typical sandwich shop. It's way above par. Highly recommended.

We loved Surfside Sandwich Shoppe, the sandwiches were the best we’ve had in town, the food was made very quick and service was kind and informative. We appreciated Seth and Luis. We ordered the Reuben and the burger. The burger was HUGE and tasted amazing! Well seasoned with fresh vegetables. The Ruben had perfect ratio of corn beef and sauerkraut. We also enjoyed the pasta salad and banana pudding! Really really good, we will be back!

UPDATE: I've been back to this restaurant many times since my older reviews below. This is still a five star restaurant with great food and friendly staff. I added pics of the Crab Sandwich and menus. Older reviews: I hadn't been here in a while party due to the pandemic. To my surprise, they remodeled the restaurant. This is a hole in the wall type restaurant but in a good way.. Kind of a hidden gem on the island. My favorite is the Baja Shrimp Tacos! Years later I still really like this place... They remodeled again I believe if I recall correctly... Baja Shrimp Tacos still my favorite!

In town visiting some family and they recommended we try this Sandwich Shoppe. It was great, the atmosphere is surfy/beach like fitting the name and location. The service was great the workers seemed happy to be there it took about 15 minutes to get our food. We had the crab cake sandwich and baja shrimp tacos, the crab cake was AMAZING. The most amazing crab cake I have ever eaten thus far in my life, I say this very sparingly as I have had a ton of crab cakes as appetizers at some thousand restaurants. This one legitimately deserves a rewards its huge in portion and the savory bread toasted with a soft top compliments it extremely well. It was so great it warrants another trip while I am still down here.

This is my favorite spot, by far, when I'm traveling through! The vibe is mellow, despite the small size, and the employees are friendly and welcoming. The fish is absolutely delicious; it literally melts in your mouth. My favorite pick would definitely be the Blackened Mahi Mahi with a side of bacon mac! I recommend checking this place out!!

Decent prices, friendly employees, quick and hot! I got the $10 soup and salad was super fresh and delicious! They have a lot of taco and sandwich options too! I was looking for something lighter to eat, so the soup and salad combo was perfect for me! Also, there are games and a patio to eat outside. Cool decorations inside as well! Fun environment!

Small spot good vibes. Food was great but not many healthy side choices. Would be great if they offered healthy simple veggie sides. Only healthy side was a side salad that they only offer as a garden salad which is great I just prefer caeser. Main complaint is the fish tacos come on flour tortillas instead of the traditional corn tortillas. Does not mention on menu that they come on flour. Ordered to go so was disappointed that I got something that may upset my stomach as I have a sensitive stomach. Still give 4 stars! The tacos would have been way better for me personally if I was able to have them on corn with a veggie side or at least Caesar side salad. Will still return again! My family enjoyed their Philly cheesesteaks, burgers & quesadillas

Loved this little place and would definitely recommend it to others! What We Ate - Mahi Mahi Blackened Tacos 5/5 Tacos were refreshing and full of flavor - French dip sandwich 5/5 Dip was savory and juicy - Pasta salad Was unique to them and yummy! Pros - Happy hour Marg was pretty decent. It's a large glass not some sad plastic little cup of marg. - Avocado Bruschetta was another great happy hour item! So refreshing! - Great atmosphere the patio was relaxing until small children showed up. But nice all the same, and they have little games you can play. Cons The only con I had was that the wait was kind of long. I think they are a little short staffed. Not the longest I've had to wait, just long enough to feel impatient.

What happened to your delicious, spicy , flavorful potato salad loaded with peas ? The last few times we have ordered it it has been bland, no spice, dry and just like a plain baked potato mashed! It was one of the unique things we craved and enjoyed there! Bring it back please!

Saw this local shop online so had to try when visiting. Would not recommend. Fish tacos, bland fish..way too much sauce trying to make up for the mix matches flavor. The Rueben sandwich …2/10. Potato salad, just wasn’t for us. Kids like the cheese burger. Expensive to leave over half the food not eaten. Would ask for a return if it wasn’t a local business.

Very very VERY disappointing. Wanted to give the meatball sandwich a try. But look at this?!? It’s partially my fault for not checking before I walked out but THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE!? $16.38 for a sub with 4 meatballs in it and torn up bread?!? What the actual hell Surfside??? I could have gotten two foot-long meatball subs with anything on it for Seven dollars with my buy one get one coupon at Subway. Y’all really should be ashamed that fine pleasure in serving somebody a sandwich that looks like this and calling yourself the best in the island. SMH
