Wow, just wow is all I can say! Just ate their super deluxe chicken burrito and I was more than surprised! Delicious food, generous portions, fast and friendly service, a cozy atmosphere, and very reasonable prices - what more can you ask for??? Highly recommend this place

Bean tostada is amazing! Great salsa, chips and service too! The green Chile burrito is my absolute favorite! The staff is super friendly! This is a local favorite of mine!
5 stars. Try the 14 plate. Carna asada. Rice and beans. The best plate. Worth the $. Carnitas plate is great also. Homemade tortillas and chips! AND OF COURSE A MODELO! Family run. Coming here 30 years always great. The heavos rancheros is bomb. Today I got the#18 chicken fajitas place for $8.50 on Tuesday. Delicious , check the picture below
I ordered the Camarones a La Diabla and my Husband ordered the Carnitas Burrito. We we're very impressed with the authentic flavors. The person who took our Order was very friendly and patient as it was our first time there. We will definitely be back. Thanks for the delicious food!
Great Mexican food I'd say the best in the area.
We came here for New Years Day breakfast and even though they were closed they still let us order! My husband got the chorizo and egg burrito and I got the bacon burrito. You can see in the picture they were good sized burritos, and they were delicious. If you are looking for a burrito breakfast you can eat at the beach this is a great spot. We would definitely come again for lunch or dinner to try some other dishes.

It was great 😍 I love it the tostada ceviche !! Specially combined with the not spicy red sauce!
Quality food for a reasonable price. You will pay double at super Mex for lesser food. I have lived in Newport since 1997 and have been coming here 2 to 3 times a month, forever. The nicest people on the planet.
Excellent authentic Mexican food. It can get busy, but the staff can handle it and get your food out quickly. I love their breakfast burritos, and their carnitas Taco with guacamole. It's fantastic.

I love Carnitas La Villa! I dream about their pork verde on a regular basis. The salsa is ok it’s mild, we live in Newport Beach, I assume they don’t think of gringos like spicey salsa. The chips are sub par, but where they lack in free chips quality, this place flourishes in flavor on their main dishes. The tacos are great, the rice and beans are classic Mexican style. You can not go wrong with this place. Check it out! This is an honest review from a local.
Maybe I'm just spoiled by the delicious mexican food in Houston but this place wasn't very good. The chips were very hard. The salsa was ok. My son got a chicken quesadilla and it was soggy and nasty. None of us would eat it. The beans and rice were pretty tasteless. My husband enjoyed his nachos. The cashier was friendly and the prices would be reasonable if food was good.
I once learned n school, (it takes 10 years to get a customer and 10 seconds to lose one). I've been coming here for 30 years(no more) this WAS my favorite Mexican restaurant in CA. Something has happened here the machaca burrito is mostly beans. I don't recognize anyone working?( New owners maybe). Service is slow . Below is my old review! Nothing fancy just awesome food. My new favorite item is the beef (shredded) and potato burrito. It is drippy/sloppy/delicious. It must be eatin w/a fork.
Super tasty breakfast burritos! Update: Last time I was here seven months ago it was actually good. Today it was borderline not good. Really bland and a super letdown. Might have to scratch this place off the list of good breakfast burrito places. The people are super nice tho. So that’s a bonus. The crispy tacos were also super limp and soggy. Bummer.
The chips and salsa were good. The rice and beans good, the enchiladas were mediocre. Red sauce lacking flavor. Sons chicken fajitas VERY BLAND lacking seasoning or marinated chicken
Food was pretty good. They left a note on my car saying they will tow my car. But other than that pretty good place to eat, and cheap too.
I live a block or two away and this WAS always the best place to go and get Mexican food, I have referred more people than I can count to this spot. Within the last year this place has really gone downhill. The food is bland and the salsas suck. I don’t know what happened, but this place sucks now… it’s really disappointing because it used yo be so amazing. Note all of the good reviews are from over a year ago. I’m bummed because this place was amazing, can’t say I’ll go back anytime soon. I went 3 times in the last couple months to make sure it wasn’t a fluke…. It wasn’t. Where is the old crew that worked in the kitchen?! They were rad and made the best food! The current staff is friendly, which is why they didn’t get 1 star. I won’t be back, so many other great options around
