Amazing world class facility. I was there for the MotoAmerica Races, which were amazing! The race track was beautiful, there's also a carting track, an amphitheater for concerts, and opening in 2026 is COTALAND (I believe that's what it was called), an amusement park right at the track!! Definitely put this one on you list of race tracks to go to.
We attended the Del Valle Resident night at Peppermint Parkway, let me tell you it was one of the most memorable and funnest nights we’ve had as a family. Our kids range from 5yr-11yr and it had great entertainment, music and food for everyone in my family. There isn’t a huge amount of lights but for the size of this entertainment it has just about the good amount. I love how the staff is always willing to take your family pictures without you asking, restrooms were nice and clean, concession stands were good and several varieties. They have several table areas where you can rest and there’s heaters!! I definitely recommend it and it’s very family friendly!
One of the best autodromes I've ever been. The whole infrastructure is designed for racing and hosting the biggest motorsports events in the world. Whether you're a MotoGP fan or a lover of long distance racing, COTA is the paradise on earth for both fans and event organizers. Be ready to feel the adrenaline and enjoy smooth track operations throughout the race weekend.
Amazing, amazing and amazing! BUT . . . It's best to have a shuttle service to go back and forth to your hotel. UBER and other car services SUCK .... it's just so many people, too much traffic and it's very difficult to meet up with your Uber driver so the driver ends up dropping your reservation and picks up anyone on the way. ..or the driver just cannot get through because the police re routes and they have to go all the way around again... which takes up to 30 minutes. cota needs a better way to operate the Uber and Taxi picks ups. I'm pretty sure the hotel shuttles have there own access road and it's used for shuttle service only... which is pretty awesome. What an awesome weekend plus I met Lando Norris!!
Always a blast at Circuit of the Americas Circuit of the Americas is always fun to visit during race events, highly recommended for motorsport fans and families alike. Expect a lively atmosphere, lots of activities, and plenty to keep you entertained between sessions. Tips for a smooth visit: - Check the weather and come prepared (sun protection, rain gear, layers). - Plenty of food options and rest areas are available. - Merchandise tents for your favorite teams are easy to find. - Extra activities and fan zones keep you busy while you wait for the next race.
Went for the Formula 1 Grand Prix on Race day and had an amazing time. I had a grounds pass and there are a lot of great view points to watch the race with the grounds pass, especially the Cota Tower if you pay an extra $40 which is well worth it. Tons of food options, merch including Cota specific (much cheaper than F1 official), Legos, team gear etc. Strongly recommend going here for F1. During the F1 weekend they also have racing simulators, tyre change games and various other experiences. They also display the driver championship trophy and cars to take pictures. The shuttle from the city is the best way to get to the track especially on F1 race days as parking is ridiculously expensive and traffic is hell as 150k+ plus people try to leave around the same time.
Came to COTA with my car club as part of the Haggerty Cars and Coffee Car Show. This was my first time coming to COTA and loved it. The facilities are clean and up to date. The staff was helpful and accommodating. Food was a bit expensive...$17 for a corndog...such is life these days. They had an awesome go-kart course that was $40 for 10 minutes. The course was huge. They also allowed car show participants to take a couple guided laps around the race track. I'm already looking at tickets for the upcoming NASCAR event!
My boyfriend and I attended the Formula 1 event at COTA and it was an amazing experience! The atmosphere was electric, the organization was impressive, and the venue itself is fantastic. We absolutely loved the place and are already looking forward to coming back next year. Highly recommended!
After years of waiting, we were finally able to visit the new attractions at COTALand, and it was a delight! We enjoyed the Christmas lights and holiday offerings at the Peppermint Parkway event, but the real excitement was riding the new tilt coaster Circuit Breaker! This coaster is so well presented and offers a complete package of thrills and fun. The lighting package and onboard audio soundtrack really compliments the ride experience, and the ride operators did a great job the whole way through with helping riders get secured comfortably and answered all of our questions. We cannot wait to return in 2026 when the rest of the park opens, and hopefully we’ll catch a race as well!
Had an amazing time at the F1 race at Circuit of the Americas! Our seats at Turn 1 were incredible with the perfect view of the start and tons of action throughout the race. You really feel the intensity from that spot. The Haven Club was a game-changer and on a sweltering day. Great place to cool off, grab a drink, and escape the heat without missing the vibe. Super comfortable and well-run. It was definitely worth it if you’re looking for a more elevated experience.
I've been twice this year, for WEC and Peppermint Parkway and I've been pleasantly surprised by the experience both times. The staff is friendly, the track layout is great for spectating and the holiday event was very well done. Can't wait to see what they do with the amusement park next year.
Probably one of the best experiences you can have in Austin is the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix. I’ll be honest, I don’t follow the sport much. But I had fun regardless. This is an experience. I’d recommend getting the weekend tickets so you can watch the practice and qualifying sessions. When you arrive for race day on Sunday, the crowd is electric. You can feel the energy in the air. I love how you can walk on the track after the race is finished. There are amazing concerts throughout the weekend. The food options are plentiful. You can basically find any type of food you want. It can be a little hot even in October. So be prepared. And you should expect to walk quite a bit. It is pricey, but worth it. It’s not something I would pay for every year. However, everyone should experience this at least once.
This was our first time at this racetrack and we had a great experience. We parked in lot F, which was free and had an easy path over to the entry gate. We sat at turn 15, which gave us a nice view of a couple turns. They also had a large TV screen there and we could hear the announcers. They had food trucks and stands, so lots of different food options. We saw numerous drivers out doing autographs. There was a lot to do here and it was a great time!
It was rainy but fun. There was confusion about tickets and parking and things in the venue, every person we asked did not have an answer, but we rolled with it. We were able to visit the pits, go into the paddocks and the food was fantastic at the cafe. Not sure what it looks like for busier events, it was a lot of fun today.
Circuit overall is great however communication from staff and general guidelines to navigate both around and to/from the track to the city is really poor, which is a shame because once you realize everything is relatively easy to use and navigate but the staff is just not knowledgeable enough. At least for F1 dont make the mistake of taking an uber. There is an army of buses running between the track and the city center. Much quicker and cheaper than a cab
Amazing experience, I loved being able to experience the feeling of being on a racetrack. I famous quote comes to mind when I was on the go-karts, “I am speed”. I feel like the whole thing was amazing. The two things that brings my rating down from a five star review to a four star review is that I wish we could have gone maybe 30 MPH instead of the speed limit of 25 MPH. I feel like it would have elavated the whole track experience. I also wish I would have received a training for the go-kart experience becaue I felt like I spent the first two laps learning how to drive which resulted in a poor placing on the leaderboard. Other wise amzing experience and many cute pictures.
Peppermint Parkway Trail of lights was a blast. Lots of fun things to do and for all ages. Lots of gorgeous lifts to look at and take pictures under. Then they had all kinds of nice food, drinks, adult beverages, some fun food, make your own stores, meet Santa, frozen princess, other characters! Go Karts, roller coasters (different sizes for all ages), merry go round, put put golf, find a prize in the river with a sifter, all kinds of fun cool stuff to do! Reasonably priced for the most part....
We came to COTA today for Nascar. This was our first time to this track. Overall, the track, concessions and all of the souvenir stands were set up well. I wish that the grandstand had some cover over them. Also, it would be nice to have the announcement speakers a little closer or more numerous so that you could actually hear what was going on.
Visited October '25 for F1. The track itself is very nice, but the supporting amenities/facilities and infrastructure to make the track function efficiently we're lacking. Primary issue is getting to and from the track on race day is a painful 1.5-2hrs even when (trying to) arriving 4-5 hrs early. You really need to leave Austin around 7am to get there without too much traffic. Also trying to walk/move around the track is not easy, especially when it's 90+ degrees out due to the layout and limited number of trams which also get bogged down by all the traffic.
First time visiting this track, probably the last. Parking is free but be prepared to walk a good amount of distance before you finally find a gate that's open. Majority of entry gates were locked up, not like other tracks where just about all the gates are open for entry. The seats are basically portable bleachers. Be prepared to climb plenty of stairs and walk up different levels of ramps just to get to your section. Didn't bother checking out the concession stands, drank out in the parking lot since they don't allow coolers like other parks. Left early, decided to go grab some BBQ instead of watching the entire race.
So this is a review of their box office experience. I bought 2 sets of souvenirs in August before the F1 race. 1 poster and 1 commemorative ticket to be mailed to two different addresses after the F1 race in late October (the wording said shortly after). Mid November comes, no souvenirs, no tracking. I email them. Takes a few days. They say they’ll reship. My mailman folds it in half to get it in my mailbox. Reach out again. They refund me the price of the poster but not the shipping. I reach back out. They said since I got the other item, no refund on shipping. So $17 to ship a $18 souvenir laminated bookmark not much bigger than an iPhone plus. The only way they respond is email. Phone doesn’t get you to a live person.
