Opinions de Blue Bottle Coffee Culver City
Just had a fantastic Flat White coffee. Usually use Soy milk but they made it with Almond Milk. The texture of the micro foam was perfect and the coffee excellent. Also had a breakfast bar which was also great.
Love this blue bottle location. Amazing espresso drinks, bright atmosphere and welcoming staff. Probably my favorite coffee shop in all of Los Angeles, they just get it right here.
I hadnt had truly good coffee in days, and then I found this place. Dont miss it if you're in the area. The balance of all flavor and mouthfeel aspects of their coffee pour-overs and lattes is rare to find.
I love blue bottle coffee of course but this location is perfect for me cause I can get my early cup while i am charging my Tesla across the street. Amazing coffee!
San Fran third wavers. Nice loft space. Bar 9 is not far away though and, in my opinion, has a better everything—except parking. Don't forget to park in the garage across the street and validate.
Nice coffee shop with great coffee. Unconventional but comfortable seating. Small back patio. Seats in the front window. Reminds me of Intelligentsia in Venice Beach.
Amazing, the cappucino is the perfect balance of steamed milk and coffee. The flavor of the coffee isn't masked by the sweetness of the milk. On a hot day you can't beat the New Orleans cold brew.
Went during covid to buy whole beans and a cappuccino. The employee (didn't catch his name) recommended a bag of beans to my preferences but accidentally gave me the wrong one. When I realized it wasn't what I asked for, I went back politely and let him know and he ended up giving me a free bag of beans! That is amazing customer service, I will definitely be coming back and am bought into the brand now!!
I am a big fan of blue bottle coffee. I use their coffee for my daily espresso and other milk drinks. It was really great to visit their cafe and see their baristas. I really respect such businesses who put a lot of efforts to bring the best possible products for their customers. Keep it up!! BTW, I really liked your mug created by Created Co but it was a bit pricy for me to buy.
Amazing coffee. My current fave is the Muscovado (sweet & smooth). Also, the pretzel croissant is 👌. This location is always fast and there's hardly a line/wait (even while the store is closed for COVID safety measures). Props to the staff making quick and safe to get our caffeine.
Visiting the area on a Sunday morning. The store was empty at 10:00. 2 coffees and banana bread we enjoyed in the front outdoor table. The pastry was small, dry and pricey. I enjoyed my coffee that had a pour over. I haven’t had coffee at a shop in awhile but this very peaceful. There’s a loft area Rear outdoor seating Vegan options Calorie count
Great location and great service. Seating out front, upstairs and I. The back patios outside. Fairly small store area. Go to the back of the shop to sit on steps or go to the second level to hang out and enjoy your coffee. Tables out front are great for people watching. Coffee is always on point.
Nice and solid coffee option for your visit to Platform. BB is great because they default all their espresso + milk drinks to oat milk, while many others charge for that. The iced NOLA is a must for anyone who hasn’t tried it. This particular location has a nice elevated and bright level in the back, along with amphitheater type seating.
Gorgeous area with great shops too. I loved the step seating at the back which leads to loft seating. It makes me want to host an event, do a poetry reading, perform a candle-lit play - something. It’s an inspiring space and look at that chocolate goodness in a cup.
First time trying this place and I was pleasantly impressed. Delicious cold brew! My husband tried both the mocha and the matcha iced and was also very pleased. The staff here are so friendly. I would recommend checking this place out if you haven’t had the chance. It’s in a plaza with other things. Next door is even a delicious Mexican food spot. There are a few benches even if you need to sit to wait for your coffee or to enjoy.
Pretty good mocha but on the expensive side. Very cool interior and highly recommend to come here for studying with relatively fast wifi.
Outside of the store there are lots of shade, breeze and music to enjoy their tasty coffee.

Best coffee around and love the atmosphere here! Great place to hang and get some work done!
Blue coffee is known for its unique interior and fun brand identity. And the Culver City location is one of the most exciting Blue Coffee locations to come across. It's near the hidden gem of this area: a park/shopping plaza that is quant and perfect to grab a coffee kick back and relax or answer some emails. The staff at this location are super friendly as well. And as always good strong coffee. Especially for those who like the bold flavors of coffee and not sugary coffee drinks. I like both, but sometimes you need the bold coffees to really charge your energy for the day.
Delicious, as always. Remarkable customer service! Very friendly barista.
Really nice place when you study or relaxing. But their chairs need a a little bit of fix because it hurt my back. Coffee is also good. Highly recommended!

Very inconsistent. A hit or miss and it depends on who’s making it. If I see specific baristas, I keep walking; the espresso is burnt and bitter.
Atmosphere is little too precious for me (a pretty reusable glass on the product shelf was $30), but their espresso is spot on, seating is comfortable, service is patient, friendly.
Good coffee like the other Blue Bottle locations. Mostly for drinks - small snacks for emergencies. Private shared back patio. Small loft area.
Better than Starbucks, Peet's, or CB/TL, but not the treasure it once was. The New Orleans is great but it's reallllllllllllllllllllllllllly sugary so watch out.
Friendly staff and clean, well managed seating area. It used to be bustling with locals and tourists visiting the Platform. Love the location and the staff. I'd love to spend an entire afternoon here.
Newest location for Blue Bottle coffee. It's located @thePlatform in Culver City,CA. The space is small, but they have both upstairs & outdoor seating. The latte was good, a bit milky for my taste but I'll ask for less milk next time. They had the most amazing Roasted Orange poundcake, I know roasted orange? But trust me it works especially with a latte or coffee.
The best breakfast in CA. The kids were hungry, the place was packed and no one was leaving as it was very rainy outside. I was ready to order and stand to eat, but soon someone left and the food came wonderful and so was the coffee. My kids, my mom and I could not be happier. I wish they had one in Chicago...so good!
I am writing this review as I sit upstairs at this exact Blue Bottle location. Blue Bottle is Blue Bottle so I won't write about the coffee. You already know what to expect. This location has a clean and modern interior with white walls and light wood throughout. I have passed by this location a lot and I always thought that it would be a good idea to do some work upstairs. This is actually a bad idea because they don't have real tables/chairs upstairs -- only big bean bag-like chairs with no back support, tiny white tables, and floor cushions. WiFi can also be spotty since they don't have their own network and you have to connect to the plaza's WiFi (open and unsecured). On the bright side, they do have a back patio with some real tables and chairs if you want to go outside. In conclusion -- stop by for the coffee, but don't plan for a long stay!
Small but cute spot. Coffee is pretty good, individually brewed in a pour over. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Indoors, the tables are low and the seats almost resemble ottomans. There is also a large staircase where people sit and work or talk. Sometimes quite crowded, so seating isn't always available, especially on colder days.
High quality coffee with a price to match. Chic white decor with uncomfortable seating.

Good coffee and nice place
Blue Bottle Caffe impresses with its meticulous craft after years of observing coffee culture. Pristine pour-overs and bold espresso shine in a minimalist space, but pricey cups and short waits test patience. Still, a must-try for purists.
As strictly a grab and go coffee place, I would give them 4 stars... as a place to stay and work out of, I would give them 3 stars. I decided to meet the rating in the middle and give them 3.5 stars, but rounded up to 4 stars cause Google doesn't allow for half stars! First things first, the drinks are pretty good! Each time I've been, the drinks are not bitter or overly sweet like some locations! They are a little pricey ($6+ for a small), but that should be expected in West LA/Culver City. My only other thing is that I got an iced matcha latte and they got it out to me in less than a minute, lol. I literally turned around to put something in my bag and my drink was done. They are def not using the nice matcha, which given that this is a coffee shop, I suppose that is fair. The customer service can be a hit or miss. Sometimes, the barista is very nice and attentive, but sometimes, they seem like they could care less, haha. No big deal since my interactions with the baristas are less than five minutes (including wait time for the drink, lol). Now my biggest kicker is that they have such a lovely sitting area, but it is not convenient at all! They have a spacious loft, large indoor steps to sit at, and floor-to-ceiling windows that allow for an abundance of sunlight to come in... but they only have one outlet at the loft, two outlets at the ground level (one at a table and one at the bar top), and one outlet located on the steps. I have seen many people leave because they don't have access to the outlets and don't want to sit on the steps like they're back in college. Not to mention the lovely outdoor private patio they have that does not have internet access/extremely weak internet access or outlets. I think if they invest in power strips or something, they might get more people who want to stay and work in the store. My other gripes is that they don't have their own bathrooms and you have to pay for parking at the Platform parking garage next door ($2 for the first hour, $3 for 2 hours, $5 for 3 hours), but that's really outside of their control, haha. Anyways, grab and go seems to be the best bet here until they try to fix the outlet situation!

I like blue bottle. Every employee is super knowledgeable and nice. I hope they offer classes at this location soon...I enjoyed my latte making class at the Beverly location.
Great coffee, but the Wi-Fi sucks! Would come here more often if they had Wi-Fi that didn't take 30 seconds to open Gmail.
Blue bottle is expensive, so no point in talking about that or the good quality of coffee. This review will focus on the entire experience. They have put effort in designing the seating and the white decor looks classy. I wish they had just regular chairs and tables instead of bean bags. I frankly have no idea where do shop owners get this idea that people like to sit on uncomfortable bags without any back support. Or maybe it's a strategy do customers leave once the beverage is over and they can have a high turn around. Maybe this is also the reason for the shoddy wifi. It's almost criminal to charge 6 bucks for a coffee and then provide wifi with 2G speed. But then, they also know that no matter how terrible the entire experience is, hipsters will continue to flock. 3 stars are strictly for the coffee quality.
I love Blue Bottle coffee but this location unexpectedly opened an hour late, they had a sign on the door and were telling another customer they would refund her money tomorrow. I waited 20 minutes. Just a heads up
This place is a little bit better than Starbucks food options are different but not great. Service is usually slow and the most retarded thing about this place is that they don’t have a sleeve for your cup. You always have to ask for 2 cups, which is really harmful for the environment and really suck but the cups are really hot and flimsy if you keep them for a while so I don’t know why they haven’t gotten into recycled sleeves. Also, the ice drinks aren’t great because the ice cubes are too big. If you wanna really good place color, intelligentsia, coffee or Conservatory for Coffee And Tea, but this is good for the basics

The ambience is in fact superb. Imagine sitting at the Apple store, sipping on coffee without having to bother to examine the Apple devices. The coffee, on the other hand (since this is a coffee shop and not an Apple store), is worse than Starbucks. The acidity of their coffee can likely dissolve bodies and shouldn’t be intended for drinking. Brr, still gives me the hibby-jibbies.
Blue Bottle needs to improve their barista training! This latte art is junk.

The cashier (the male African American guy) here who worked on Dec 24 morning around 11 am is so MEAN and not respectful at all. When I asked for the cup holder, he throw it to me and the cup holder fell to the ground. He didn’t say anything and put it back to the table, turned it around and left. It feels like he hated his job and is disrespectful to the customers.
I’m a blue bottle fan, and I drink a blue bottle coffee at least once a week. This morning I went to get coffee with my boyfriend at this location. He ordered a drip coffee and I ordered a almond milk latte. Usually I get my coffee before him as it takes a long time to make a drip. He got his coffee before me and I needed to wait around 10 min to get my coffee while I rush to my work, but hey I get it it’s not a Starbucks I will wait for a good cup of coffee. While waiting a woman that was also waiting for her coffee and ordered after me was screaming on the phone inside the coffee shop near the waiting counter. When my coffee was finally ready she literally grabbed the coffee from the barista confirming its her almond milk latte and left. I told the barista that was my almond milk coffee I was waiting for and I ordered before this woman. She answered by saying “I didn’t see another almond milk latte order” while I clearly was charged for it. after she realized she had another order from the other woman she quickly made my latte which was COLD and not as good as a usual blue bottle coffee. I left to work with a cold coffee and a terrible start for my morning. Next time please make sure you know who you making the coffee for as you ask for names in the cashier!!!
Drove all the way here and was excited to try the coffee...but they charge $1.25 EXTRA FOR ALMOND MILK! So I walked out of line. I'll never understand why I and the majority of the population continue to be punished for a dairy intolerance. I guess I'll never know how good this coffee is unless I bring my own almond milk one day. I mean...I can get almost an entire carton of it for $1.25. Who do they think they are?? :(
Among all blue bottles this one is one when always something wrong when I got there. They don’t have matcha, or close earlier or never have avocado toast and so on. It’s just always something off…
I order daily from blue coffee, but I will not be doing so again. Typically when you order for delivery, they seal (by stapling) the delivery bag to ensure that it cannot be tampered with. The bag was not sealed. There was coffee wasted in the bag and the stickers over the mouthpieces were open. When I called to find out why the bag hadn’t been sealed, the number was just an automatic message that lets you know that you cannot contact the store directly. Horrible customer service.

$7 8oz espresso. I ordered 8oz espresso with extra shot and they charge me $7. Also their New Orleans no longer good. I’ve supported Blue Bottle since when they’re only in Oakland and SF, unfortunately they are no longer worth going. Go to Bianca next door instead, better coffee and great pastries/breads!
Has blue bottle really gone downhill? I've ordered coffee several times and it was worse than McDonald's or Starbucks. The sweet latte I ordered was extremely watered down and they didn't even pull the espresso correctly. Not what i expect from an $8 per iced latte place!
